Added:The Pauli X gate. The Pauli X gate is the quantum version of the classical not gate. Its job is simple, to flip the state of a qubit. If the qubit is in state zero wrangle, it becomes one wrangle. And if it is in state one wrangle, it becomes zero wrangle.
To visualize this, think of the Pauli X gate as a light switch. If the switch is off, the X gate turns it on. If it is on, the X gate turns it off. In quantum computing, this means changing the qubit from zero to one or from one to zero.
Because it is one of the most fundamental quantum gates, the X gate is used whenever we need to flip a qubit's value during a quantum computation.
