Sanctuary SundayAdded:
Looking for a church that I don't believe in.
Praying for a chance I've already been gi.
I've got trucks and land, a beautiful wife. My parents still here to share my life.
Two boys I raised into two young men.
Now life's more complete than it's ever been. I can't shake this shadow on the wall. That any day, any time, I could lose it all. I don't know how many sons I'll see or if I'll ever be all I can be, but I know I'm fighting for this life.
Yours and mine and all we found.
I won't give up.
I won't break down.
Why am I scared?
I'll never get there when I should know.
I'm already here.
Been a while since it was torn from my hands. But I still remember that broken man who you thought you loved. What you thought you had can vanish in a moment just like that. So I hold tight to this peace we found for us to be safe when the world spins around. I don't know how many suns I'll see or if I'll ever be all I can be.
But I'm fighting for this life.
yours and mine and all we found.
I won't give up.
I won't let you down.
I don't know how many signs I'll see, but I'm going to try to be all I can be.
Yeah. Heat.
Literally until when I see the handprint, like I'm all emotional, but when I see that handprint, like the rest of that just like guts me because I'm emotional from the Suki, Hank, Maggie, like all of that section and then just takes me out at the end.
>> No, I allow it to build up. It's like I I'm watching it and I can feel it like a it's feeling a wine cloud. I feel it filling up. I feel it >> and I think, "Okay, I'm going to be fine. It's almost over." And then when it starts hitting those pictures fast, >> it goes through like if you notice, it's it's very slow moving.
>> Yeah. And towards the end it starts hitting pictures real fast and all of a sudden the the speed up changes everything about it.
>> I don't know. It's voodoo and Dixie at the end just freaking that's it.
>> Hey everybody. Hi to hello. Happy Sunday and thank you for joining Jamie and I on our sanctuary Sunday. It's nice to see you guys. Thank you.
>> We're sorry. We're dirty.
>> Kind >> and sweaty. And >> we took advantage of this evening and just went all the way until we had to come sit down and talk to you.
You saved us from ourselves. Actually, >> do you know what I did today that got me more sweaty than anything else that I I've done plenty of chores today and I did sweat through almost all of them, but I never sweat as bad as I did. I put on that stupid chicken costume. Did a Did did a dance in front of the chicken over here.
>> What?
>> And I'll tell you what, I couldn't breathe. I could not breathe inside that thing.
>> Grandpa's laugh.
>> Grandpa's It was funny for me, too.
>> No. Um, it was just It's just humid. The humidity is here. Yeah.
>> And it's It was hot. It's 90° 90 something. I think 92.
>> Yeah, it was warm, too.
>> 92 degrees with humidity. And I'm in a stupid chicken costume making what I thought would be a fun video >> until you almost killed yourself doing it.
>> Yeah. Well, here's the thing. I had to be zipped in and zipped out and Lex was my only helper and I could not get myself out of it and I'm dying for air.
>> Oh no.
>> There's one little hole. I found one little hole >> and I could break >> air.
>> Oh my gosh. That's horrible though. And yeah, that would be a horrible way to find me dead. You like pull up over here looking for >> and there's an inflated chicken costume laying over here.
>> Look at that chicken costume. How do you keep it up?
>> No one would Here's the problem is no one would find me until the batteries finally die on that air that keeps the air in there >> and then it would slowly begin to deflate. You would see my lumpy body sitting there. That's horrible, Jamie.
But it's true. It's so true. Um, >> Miss Suzanne, thank you. You didn't have to do that.
You guys are being very kind to us. What have we done? Why don't Why are they being so nice to us?
>> They must be looking pitiful. That's all I can think about is Oh, y'all feel sorry for us. They feel sorry for us.
>> Here's some sympathy. Maybe you should buy soap. Like >> Oh, they can't smell us.
>> This is a fact. I don't I can't even smell each like I can't smell you and I'm thankful that you probably can't smell me, which means that we are officially nose blind to each other's >> Yeah.
>> smells at this point in time. Well, Lex is here. He's inside. Uh I played basketball with him for several hours today. Bad shoulder and all. And um so I Yeah, I really am. I can just feel the sweat stuck just anyway. But I'm happy to be with you all tonight. I know Jamie had a very busy day as well. I don't know if she's going to talk about her day or not.
>> I did a lot of things at home and and a lot of productive things. I recorded video, but I have to be honest with you.
I don't know if I actually recorded a whole video because I would get going and I'm like, "Oh, I need to video this and like I was in the moment because it was supposed to rain all day." And it didn't. And I was like, "Opportunity.
Here we go." Like, "Let's get to it." I will tell you that something did happen today that I am gonna we're gonna I'm gonna put you to work this week or soon.
>> What?
>> Our white donkey is a problem.
Wait, our white donkey meaning Stara.
Oh, Stara's a problem.
>> Well, we're going to have to move the donkeys back. We can't move Stara back without the donkey. So, >> oh, or that you're going to have to put some cattle panel on the rest of that f like that part of the fence. That was the other part is either fencing has to happen, which is not horrible, or they got to shuffle back over for a while because she has figured out that when they walk around in that back corner that she can escape. She broke into every chicken coop. Every one of them.
>> Why?
>> Because they have food.
>> Oh, so if you close the door to the barn where she can't get into the food, she'll go find it somewhere else. And all of my beautiful landscaping in front of the greenhouse is now >> Oh, >> like >> um Well, sorry.
>> So, we got we got some things. We have a thing or two to do.
>> So, just so you all know, you cannot put Stara back with the goats. People who are going to say, "Well, just put her back with the goats." Guys, we she identifies as a donkey.
>> She's our white donkey.
>> And so, she will just stay with the donkeys and we would not punish her.
by making her go be a goat.
>> That's just Starla.
>> Yes, >> that's the same thing as making Ivy go back and be with the donkeys as well.
And we just not going to do that. Okay.
>> Happen. No. No. So, we will make accommodations.
>> The lady met. She goes, "Why is all this sad music all of a sudden?" Well, hold on a minute. That was my life story.
Okay.
>> No, that song was my life story. That's my life.
>> Sorry I'm laughing.
>> Stop laughing at my life story is a sad song.
>> Your life story. The lady says, "Why the sad music?" Well, that's my life story, sweet lady. That song was built for me based on my life story.
>> I love this >> and I'm so sorry it came out sad for you. You know, >> the thing though is if it was just a song, >> if it was just a song, even though it would have emotion, I don't think it would have as much emotion as it does to add the video to it.
It's true. So anyway, yeah, fencing has to happen this week because the Starlo situation is out of control.
>> I'm sorry for laughing at myself.
Well, that is my life story. I'm so sorry it's sad.
Yeah, Stara is a She doesn't want to be a goat, guys. She wants to be a little donkey. But we'll figure it out. I just don't think that it's it's going to be foolish to spend hundreds of dollars for more panels just to keep a goat because >> you know how much I spent on landscaping though.
>> She ate more than hundreds of dollars.
>> Oh, some of the new stuff you bought.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> Okay.
>> So, fair is fair. Like if she's gonna be a donkey, she was gonna be a real donkey and stay inside the fence.
>> Yeah. Hey guys, let's not get hyperfocused on the theme song that we played tonight. That's a beautiful, beautiful song and we're not going to change a thing about it.
>> All right.
>> And all of a sudden, >> there we go. Now there's more light.
>> There we go.
>> And that's a beautiful song. It's one of my favorite songs. U me too.
>> But uh yeah, we have I think Miss uh Megan has probably made us 20 to 25 songs.
>> I think at least that. Yeah, because if you count all the and Oh, I haven't even counted those. Yeah, >> I was gonna say thank you.
>> No, I mean as far as our animals or the song that she made for Jamie, the one that she made for me, and there's a combination of very upbeat, just want to get up and dance type songs, and there's others that just really make you >> think and reflect. And that song is powerful. And I understand it may not be as powerful to you all because you don't, you know, maybe you haven't been around as long and you don't have the same connection to all the animals that are in that video, but the word choices and the um the sound is I wouldn't change a thing about it.
>> No.
>> So, we are not going to.
>> And that's how we start our lives when we have scheduled lives um together. And then individually, I I play my intro on from Suits to Boots. There's a from Suits to Boots intro song as well that I dearly love. Yeah.
>> Uh and then there I have um In a Little Sundress which is another one of my favorites.
>> Oh yeah. Now you got So you in a way you have two I think I have two. I have the long horn Luster one which is very upbeat and fast and then the story called this life. Yeah.
>> Which is which is >> and then there's like animal stories and then there's also like the sanctuary story and like Megan's just an incredible talent that I >> Yeah. I I just am fully impressed. And then of course we have my pea pops. You have some things that are with >> my chickens.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Just awesome. Awesome.
Awesome. And I think that for us whenever we're starting a live, it's a beautiful ramp up to get everybody connected and do things together versus Lester and I sitting here staring at each other. When we used to do lives in the pickup truck at Starbucks or anywhere else we could get a signal, we would think about ways that we could go live. And I'm going to tell you all a secret here. act like we didn't know it was already live.
>> Oh yeah. We've always had fun like, >> "Hello, is this thing working?"
>> Like I would be plucking his ears and and doing all things like that. Like Jamie, Jamie, it's live. Oh my god, Jamie, they're stop. We're live.
>> Yeah. So, um, we used to find clever things to be able to get everybody connected because it does take a little bit of time. The servers don't react to everybody all at once, so it starts to trickle in and people get Nobody wants to start behind the eightball. So, putting the music in the front allows us to, you know, give everybody a chance to get here, get their drink in order, get comfy in their recliners or >> run to the restroom right quick.
>> I bet I bet we go to the bathroom with a lot of people to be honest. We have a lot of phone washers. I bet they bring us along, which is a little bit awkward, but we we don't have to share all of those things.
>> Yeah. So, speaking of sharing, last night was season two, episode one of Scandalous Saturday. The Dear Jamie podcast is back.
>> I watched >> I comment. I made a few comments. No one liked my comments though.
>> What did you comment? Cuz I haven't gone back to read.
>> I have too much of a guy's perspective on things.
>> Really? I You know what's funny is I got a lot of messages today.
>> Yeah. um some stories, but also, you know, people who relate to some of the things that I shared last night. And do you know that I got more messages from men today than women?
>> Oh, that's always good.
>> Now, I don't know if I offended them greatly. I didn't think so by their emails or like they were trying to justify like, "Hey, we're here too, but we don't want to say it because we don't want everybody else to." Like, I don't know. But I got a lot of messages and I was like, I didn't see that coming. Oh, but >> like they're sharing stories for future podcast or >> some of them were commenting on the ones that I shared.
>> Oh, they wanted to share their without comment. They wanted to share it through an email. Oh, >> but they also were saying how much they loved the like they're like I love this.
I love this series. I learn a lot from it. And and I was like, you learn a lot from Dear Jamie. I don't know what that says about you, but >> No, I think I Well, here's what I think it might someone might could mean by that is that they that they find they're not alone if they've ever experienced any of those scenarios. And hey, I listened to I think your first four or maybe five that you talked about last night.
>> I had a total of four. So, >> so I listened to all four then and besides the funeral one, every the other three I could relate to very easily.
Wait, >> that means you had >> one with the funeral that I I mean that I have no >> That one was something.
>> That was something. Yeah.
>> Yeah. So, wait a minute here. That means that you have had a work wife.
>> Well, not a work wife. I kind of had a work husband, but husband >> what?
>> I've had work husbands.
>> Plural.
>> Could I explain before?
>> No, because I have so many questions right now. Hold on a second. Maybe you have that wrong.
No, I was the wife.
I feel like >> I've so >> I have shared this story so many times with you and the world.
>> Listen, I had I was the work wife >> to three guys at my same school.
Listen, I planned >> at the same time.
>> Yeah. For like 15 years.
>> I don't know what that says about you.
>> Yeah. It's horrible. It's horrible.
Listen, I was the only one that could plan anything because these guys are no good at planning. I was the escort. I was the one that would drive them to and fro. I would be the one to the designated driver, the DD, whatever you call it. I was always the one to plan the events, plan the summertime vacations.
>> I was also the one with the camera who's posting all the pictures.
>> Jamie, I was the work wife for a long time. For years, I was the workwife that I finally got fed up with it all and said enough is enough.
So, >> is this how the Little Spoon situation came to be? People have questions. Just for the record, >> I was the party organizer. I was the host. Jamie, I did it all. Which is very typical of what women normally do. Yes.
>> Yes. I can't I actually can't disagree with you on this part because >> there you go.
I mean, yeah, I can't disagree with you that in I didn't think of it that way, but you kind of were the work >> wife.
>> Yeah. So, >> if you could add that one to your resume. I mean, you have Longhorn Luster, you have the Silky Guy, and and you've been a dad, you've been a husband, you've been a boyfriend, you've been a um an uncle, and now work wife.
>> How about yourself, Jamie? You ever had yourself a work husband? And don't say no, because I know I can name two that I would I don't know their names. I just forgot their names who I would think would could have been considered your work husbands. Guys, listen to me. I understand that last night a lot of people did not like the idea of the work wife or the work husband, but there were also just as many who said, "You know what? It happens because I've had >> purely platonic. Is it called platonic?"
>> Yeah, I was going to say >> work related, >> but at work we're besties, but when I come home, I'm home.
>> I'm not on the phone with my work husband all Maybe it's not called maybe maybe calling it work husband is actually the extreme and the naughtier.
>> Well, that no that no no no no. Work wife and the work spouse is what they call them. That's the actual terms.
>> Okay.
>> Because unfortunately um it's not like it there it's the replacement of your partner.
>> Yeah. I I would So I would say I probably have three right now.
>> Look look at Tara. Tara I love that picture. She looked like a fuzzy or furry. What do you call it?
>> Little fox.
>> A little fox.
>> Careful those.
>> She goes, "I had work husbands." And so a lot of people don't mind admitting it that they've had people at work, the workplace, who were like the one to tell me, "Hey, how does my makeup look? Hey, how does my hair look? How does how's this dress look?"
>> See, I don't have that. I don't have that.
>> Well, because you work from home now.
>> Yeah. But I still like I guess this sounds this sounds when I I I think of myself as the work wife because I am I'm sorry. I'm sorry for anybody from my work that watches this.
I I'm cleaning up after three men and I'm like following up checking to make sure they did all the things and like so in my mind being the work wife is being a partner to someone to pick up the slack. Look, even Miss Megan has had herself a work husband and she misses him.
>> But, you know, I think that there I mean, in the story it was way across the line, right? Like I don't I don't >> had a few work husbands.
>> I don't typically share like what happened over the weekend or anything like that outside of whatever has been posted on videos because they do watch and they're like, I saw Luster do some really dumb stuff this weekend or you know, did you get that painting done yet? I can't tell you how many times I get asked like, "You out there painting?
Is that why you couldn't answer your phone? Like giving me a hard time?" I'm like, "No, I'm not painting." Okay. Like that's you can tell I'm not doing.
>> Jamie, I we got to clarify something. I really do think that in the chat there's a there's a misunderstanding.
>> Okay, >> guys. When we say the work spouse, we don't mean someone that you're having intercourse or sexual relations with.
>> It's your work partner.
>> Yes. It's someone at work of the usually of the opposite sex that you is it's kind of like in everything besides the intimate part is like your partner at home. You you they know. So Jaime's podcast last night, let me just back up a little bit because people are fighting in the in the comments.
>> Oh my gosh, >> people are fighting. They don't get it.
They're very upset with me for having work husbands.
>> Well, they are. Look at them. They're fighting over it. They're so upset with me for being like that. Listen guys, I don't think that you understand.
>> Jamie has a channel called the Dear Jamie podcast. And on that channel, it's kind of like Dear Abby, except it's Dear Jamie.
>> Yeah.
>> And this lady wrote her an email, pretty lengthy, and said that my husband goes to work every day, and there's this woman, quote unquote, this is an air quote an air quote, his work wife or his work spouse. It's a real word.
And she says, "I've always knew she existed, but it wasn't a big deal until my husband invited her over to a get together at our home >> for Thanksgiving."
>> For Thanksgiving because she had nowhere else to go that year. So, her husband invited his work partner over. When she got there, the wife, the actual wife, was very upset because the work wife knew all about things that the real wife had no idea he was sharing about things that they I mean, I forgot the whole, but there was a whole list of things.
>> Yeah, it was like about the dog and the countertop she chose and the candle and other like the remodeling job. I don't know, things like that. And it was things that like were not workrelated but clearly were >> things that >> things that were in part of their relationship that he took outside of the relationship. So to me that was beyond a work wife work husband. That was that was an outside thing that made the wife uncomfortable basically.
>> But but at at this point like the wife said in your in your podcast, she never accused him of being intimate. No, >> she was a little bit upset because this other woman knew so much and she thought that those are just things that her and her husband talk about.
>> Yes. Yes.
>> And so what I'm trying to say is I don't think it always has to cross the line.
>> No.
>> And we all know there's a line.
>> I think there's many times that it I think most of the time it doesn't cross the line.
>> Yeah. But what I mean by Jamie I know that Jamie has guys that work she shares her personal life with because I overhear those conversations. They know me. They know about what I do. They know what I don't do. They know so many things. And I'm like, wait, how would they know that? Unless Jamie in her downtime is talking about things that happen around the house >> or they watch the videos.
>> Yeah. So, but you know, it's like I took off this week to go and uh to go with with Stephanie and they were like, "What were you doing? Building the fence that day or whatever?" And I'm like, "No, no, I wasn't building the fence that day." But they know enough right to be and because I wasn't there to do work that day basically. But work spouses I think have so many level like there's a sliding scale. Maybe maybe that's the right phrase to use it. Sure.
>> So you have like extreme borderline crossing the line that makes your own relationship uncomfortable. And that's really what the conversation was about.
>> Look at Vanessa. I don't have a real husband but I do have a work husband.
>> There you go. It might be the best kind.
You don't have to take you don't have to deal with them at home and in real life and share a closet or anything like that. However, I don't think Vanessa Yeah, Vanessa's not really married, so you know.
>> Well, I don't know. But um now um I don't even know where we were going with this whole thing.
>> Well, I you were talking about having work husbands and I thought that that is something Yeah. that I was not expecting that you were the work wife.
>> Yeah. No, I think that they all saw me as the work wife. They were I would I would be the one to help make sure that their ties were all fixed. They'd come in in the morning and hey Lester, can you fix my tie? And I'd be like here. I would get their ties all done. I'm like, hold on. Take care.
>> No, you did not.
>> I would take the tie off, put it on myself, and do it and then put it back on them and then get them all.
What? That's too much for you? That's too much for you, Jay.
>> No, I'm laughing because I can actually see it happening because you couldn't do it on him because because you only know how to do it on yourself. Yeah, I can do myself really good, but doing it someone else is not the same, guys. It's not the same. It's the angles are all different.
So, no, I would just take it off, put it right on me. I could do it in no time at all and then stick it right back on. So, uh, not just that.
>> I'm sorry, but I'm thinking about like all the times that you talked about like you made the food and you >> Yes, I cooked and then you got to go home and clean it all up. Like even your like football things and all of that.
>> Yes. I don't I >> Yes, >> it's pretty.
>> Why do you laugh? I don't know. I don't understand what's so funny about this.
I've never had a chance to have a work wife, but but I've been to work wife.
That's all I was saying.
What? Oh my goodness. Jamie.
>> Um, no. I remember one time um Jamie took Xander to her work husband's house to go fishing. Now hold on a minute. He had a wife. He had kids and they weren't there alone. But that's just kind of and they were back that was somewhere else some other state that was in Illinois I guess where he lived.
>> It wasn't really my work husband. That was I guess I guess >> it was one of the guys that you constantly was always on the phone with.
Okay, you could call it that. I I knew him for 20 plus years and Xander was super into fishing and we got invited to their home >> with their kids, his wife, everybody there. And it was very early on in our relationship and he's like, "Where are you going?" I'm like, "Just to a guy's house that I work with. We're going to go fishing." And he's like, "Right."
Like, >> no. because I was I was always under the impression that it's impossible for men and women to be friends without >> that is true that wanting a little extra action on the side.
>> I was like >> that's that's just that's just my way of thinking. Ladies, you don't have to agree with me but I always feel like with men and having women friends, yeah, we can be friends. Sure. But hey, >> I do not feel that way.
>> I can't make my eyes my eyes are too tired to even do that my thing, Jamie.
>> There's a lot of people that agree with you on that.
>> I look sick. I just look a like a sicko doing that. Uh, so you guys agree with me? Sandra, >> some agree with you.
>> Sandra agrees with me.
>> I think that there are varying stage.
Again, there's a sliding scale on that.
>> Well, here comes someone IN ALL CAPS.
THAT'S NOT TRUE, LESTER. OKAY. OKAY.
OKAY. But sometimes it is true.
>> Sometimes it is true. I would agree with that.
>> I would also say most times it's true.
And ladies, if you don't believe me, then you're too naive to realize it.
Boom. Boom. I am going to say that. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that even with a mostly women audience here.
I love you, sweet ladies. But remember, I'm like your big brother. And as your big brother, I'm going to tell you something that you probably don't know.
That those guys that just seem so nice, he's just a really nice guy. Oh, he's a nice guy because he's trying to slide his way in.
>> But hold on a second.
>> He's trying to slide in, guys. He's trying to slide in.
>> To say that most of us say that that our work husbands are not. I I would never say they're such a nice guy or they're such a great guy or anything like that.
Like I they may be great at what they do.
>> No. No. Here's what everyone says. Oh, he's married. like that's gonna stop him. Ladies, no. No guy no guy is gonna say, "Oh, well, if he's married, then I trust him."
And shame on you ladies for even thinking that. Well, he has a ring, Lester, so he's married. Oh, so that means he's 100% trustworthy.
>> Or they or they say, "Oh, no. He throw him. He's gay."
>> Hold on.
>> Trust me.
>> Hold on a second. That Well, somebody just said, "My husband was a teacher and it was always the women."
What does that mean?
>> It wasn't him chasing. It was the women chasing him.
>> THAT'S WHAT THE HUSBAND SAID. HEY, SHE'S SHE'S THE ONE MESSAGING ME. Hold on.
She's the one that's Hold on, sweetie. I didn't do nothing. That's her. Of course, a man's going to say that.
>> Man, this is not where I expected this conversation to go today.
>> Sanctuary Sunday has turned into Timeout.
>> Has turned out Saturday Jamie podcast.
>> Wow.
Wow.
Listen, it's okay to disagree, guys.
It's okay to disagree. I'm just giving you one man's opinion, and I already know the rules of the internet. What's the rule?
What is the one rule that you should never do as a video creator when you do a We've had this discussion so many times.
We have to stop saying, "I think I believe in my opinion."
>> Yeah. because all that does is opens you up to those who want to disagree with your opinion. So, but hey, >> well, I will so I have so many things and ways that I could take that. I should just probably change subject.
>> Why?
>> I think I think that we are having a nice conversation. Well, if your story is true, then it goes against everything that we have put into like like there's a lot of dialogue that happens with the opposite sex, right?
>> Yeah.
>> So, are you saying that because of your predetermined space here that every guy is trying to slide in that you're that guy?
>> Well, hold on a second >> now.
Well, hold on.
>> Cuz that's what you just said.
>> Hold on a minute. I was trying to remind you and all of these other sweet ladies here that just because you think that guy at work is just being nice to you. I said, I bet you maybe he is being nice, but there is all an ulterior motive.
He's trying to slide in so he can be there whenever you and your husband are on the outs. Because if he's the guy that you're gonna go to and confess all of your hurts and your pains and I'm so mad at John because he did this and this and this, what's he gonna say? Boy, John does not know what a wonderful woman you are.
>> I don't like that's the thing though is I don't >> That's what always happens. It's not what always happens because I'll be honest with you, there have been other there have been other like circumstances and not not my current like my younger life. Okay, my younger life >> where you spend so much time working with a person and you're upset and they call it out like what's wrong with you and you're like I just got in a fight with so and so or whatever the case is and they're like well were you being stupid?
Like I have been called out like that.
I'm like well probably I was probably being a or probably being whatever. So I don't know. know I don't have the same experience maybe that you do, but I do I do I did notice that you couldn't really hold it together right there for for that reverse situation.
So you guys do know that if we agreed with on everything then this would be the most boring live stream of all time.
When you have two people on either a talk show or a TV talk, I guess any kind of talk program, they have to always have someone who's going to disagree. Even on CNN, they have the one guy who's the conservative. Even on Fox, they have the one guy who is the or the one lady who is the liberal. There's always in every talk show, there have to always disagree. That's what makes good talk.
>> This is true. So there ain't no difference right here. I'm playing one cop and Jamie's playing the other one.
True. You can call totally bad cop and he poked the bear on my conversation.
>> You can call you can call it good cop and bad cop if you choose to. But guess what? We're having good conversation and >> and we're having fun Sunday night >> as well. Like I'm melting out here and I'm not even sweating but the humidity is like taking everything right now. And look how blue the background is with this light. It's so pretty.
>> Gorgeous. I know.
>> Absolutely. But Rosemary says, "But your intentions are pure."
>> Rosemary knows me very well. My intentions are pure.
>> Oh my gosh.
>> Oh no. Look what Look look look at tinfoil hat. What they say?
>> I love >> Now when women stop by, we're going to all be watching Lester for the sock.
>> Oh my god.
>> Hold on. You mean whenever strangers swing by, I'm gonna run in and throw me a sock on right quick?
>> I got bad news for you. He takes his Yeah. It doesn't really That's really not part of his wardrobe anymore.
>> And I sure don't wear any socks. You pull up past my ankles.
>> Nope. No.
>> Oh my goodness. Well, you know what, guys? It was fun conversation. Okay.
>> It was absolutely fun conversation. And uh all of that happened last night on Jaime's uh channel, her new channel, which is called, tell me again what it's called. I'm going to type it in over here.
>> The >> the >> Dear Jamie podcast, and it's on YouTube today.
>> And if you want to be a part of any of that stuff, there I put it.
>> Thanks.
>> Um there's a YouTube channel where Jamie is going to start going live one night a week, Saturdays only. or what? Or more often?
>> I'm going to aim today for Saturdays only. I don't want to set myself up for failure right now. And um I also I'll post post some shorts and other things throughout the week where I'll take some of the clips from it. Um and I still have to upload some of the older versions that are on from Suits to Boots to be able to put it there as well. But >> it's it's not for everyone. That's the thing. It's not for everyone. and people that are just looking for wholesome family farm content or just things that you know >> it's not that empty pockets.
>> Gosh, no. It is definitely not that. Um >> it's what what she means. It's not by for everyone. There are some folks that have so much drama in your life that the last thing you need is more.
>> Yeah.
>> Do not jump on there if you cannot handle or if you're easily triggered.
>> But some some people find peace in knowing that there's there's >> similarities. similarities, but there's also a higher level of things that they've experienced that they're like, "Oh, well, at least that didn't happen to me." And um some people just, you know, want an escape.
>> Yeah. Oh, I was actually when I was watching last night and I was reading your comments helping to moderate, I was surprised by how many people have a shared experience on either side.
>> Yeah.
>> And there's also a lot of folks who could not help but state their opinions as a very matterof fact. this is the what I think, this is the way it is. And uh and that's okay.
>> You could tell they probably have been experienced the worst in those kinds of situations to have those strong of opinions.
>> But um it shows that you're not alone.
>> Yeah.
>> If you've gone through anything and there was like you said four different examples that you talked about last night, four different stories.
>> Somebody said it's no Delila. Do you remember Delilah?
>> I know this >> Delilah.
She was a radio show um uh MC or you know DJ and people would call in and be like tell tell a story and she'd be like let me find a song that's perfect for you. She still exists actually. I found her on TikTok recently. Um but she had she had her own show and it would be late night and she'd be like oh they would call and tell her and she would like you know what I'm gonna send something out tonight and this goes out to you and your heartbreak and I my heart is with you. like she was so empathetic and so kind to people and she had such wisdom anyway and then she would play a song for them and it was it was touching to people.
>> Yeah. I'm not playing any songs, but uh and and I'm not as compassionate probably as Delilah and I certainly let things that come like the stories are a little more risque and um I don't want to say PC because it's there's nothing political about any of it, but um it's things that I wouldn't sit down with my kids, my young kids to listen to.
>> Yeah.
>> You know, so it's just it's adult conversation. It's adult stories. It the theme is stories and secrets and conspiracies. And today we're, you know, starting out with Scandalous Saturday, so to keep it to that level, but, you know, I intend to do a conspiracy night in the future and all of that. But it's it's a different channel intentionally to pull it out of the from Suits to Boots normal content.
>> Yeah. Let's explain that again. So listen, Jaime's normal channel is not going anywhere.
>> No.
>> But >> the same reason that I started a very own chicken channel because there were some folks who did not want me to corrupt the Longhorn channel with chickens. Okay, fine. Instead of fighting and arguing with you, I said, "You know what? That's fine. We still have the Longhorn Lester channel, but we also have the chicken channel now. The the JL Hatchery channel."
>> Yeah. So Jamie's the same thing. If Jamie wants to have those types of the Dear Abby type thing or the Dear Jamie podcast, there are some folks on from Suits to Boots who don't want that. No.
>> And instead of having to argue and fight with everybody, I'M ONLY HERE FOR THE ANIMALS. I ONLY COME TO SEE THE ANIMALS.
Why argue? instead. Hey, okay. We'll continue to keep some things on seats to boots, but we're also going to have some some me time and some unwinding time and sharing some story time on the new channel, the Dear Jamie podcast.
>> Yeah. And it will eventually hit Spotify and become a true podcast as well. I have to work on that uh this week, hopefully tomorrow, to get those up and going as well.
>> Thank you, Darlene. Yeah, guys, we're very blessed to have a large audience.
Uh we have two channels that we're playing tonight. Uh, some of you guys are watching on the From Suits to Boots right now and some of you guys are watching on the I'm a survivor sanctuary right now, but combined we have almost 5,000 folks watching and that means there's a lot of comments over here and I promise you we're not trying to ignore anybody, but Jamie's my witness. They're flying by. They fly by and every once in a while they'll pause and that's when I can reach over and try to grab one to pull up on here. So, I am not purposely trying to ignore or ignore anybody, >> but like Lester said, so his chicken channel was designed because people were so adamant that the chickens were interrupting all of their regularly scheduled content and taking away from So, he's like, "Fine, I'll pull it off and I'll do it."
>> Yeah. I was just tired of the arguing. I don't want to We don't want to We don't want to add drama to your life.
>> No. And it's only there for people who want it, who seek it out. And it's it's the ability to have a niche style.
>> And um a podcast is very conversational.
So I'm not videoing things and taking you places. I'm sitting down and I'm talking. That's that's what it's like.
So that's why it's called a podcast channel. And then the Dear Jamie part is kind of like Dear Abby. Um where people would write to Dear Abby and she would give them advice. I am not offering advice though. I am just reading your stories and speaking speaking from my heart on some of those things. I'd really try to think about the different people in the story as well, not just who wrote the story. So, um, yes, I will absolutely be diving into conspiracy theories as well, but those won't be scandalous Saturdays. Those will be add-ons that we do separately. So, um, we'll see. We'll see. I am on I'm a survivor.
>> Let me look at that.
>> Uh yeah. So, no, it was a it was a fun episode. And so, and then we always say that if there's anything >> Yeah, you're live.
>> Yeah, we're live, guys. Everything's fine.
>> 1.8,000 watching over there.
>> Okay.
Anyway, >> yeah.
So, yeah, exciting times of bringing the Dear Jamie podcast back. Um, this week we got a lot going on. You have Lex.
>> Yeah.
>> I if all the heavens align and stars align, I'm hoping to see Kinley Cole this next weekend.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> We'll see. We'll see. We got We have some things that have to align for that to be able to happen. But um that's a potential a probable scenario. I don't know the details just yet though.
>> Well, we probably should not share all the details right here anyway, >> right?
>> Because we don't need everyone to know the timelines of this and that and this and that just for our own protection and safety.
>> That's true.
>> But we'll always let you know what happened after the fact.
>> That's true.
>> But uh we got to get some work done to the RV. Uh, I don't know if Jamie's going to talk about it or not, but something very weird happened. Um, this >> I have a video coming out.
>> You keep saying that for the last week, but this is getting to be very old news now. This video that's coming out, it should have came out like a week ago.
All right. Well, I won't talk about it, but um the um Well, I guess I got to change the subject now.
>> You can talk about it. Go ahead.
>> I'm not >> talk about it. Talk about it. Well, all I'm going to say is that the same night that that horse rescue had the lightning strike that killed the horses, I know you guys have seen that on the news.
>> Five horses gathered underneath a tree to get out of the weather.
>> Yeah.
>> Lightning struck that tree and killed all five of those horses. Really, really sad. But that same night, lightning also struck here, >> and it it was Jamie was live out in the horse barn, the uh the stables out there, and many of you guys heard and even saw the bright flash of that lightning strike. It blew out several things here inside the JL Motel, but what was interesting was we went and we pulled up our surveillance cameras, but to see the actual strike and it struck the top of the Barno Opera House. I mean, it hit right on the top of it.
Blew out some of my lights that I my little my little Christmasy lights that I have on there.
>> Yeah, your lepros.
>> My Lepro lights. I can change the colors and all that stuff. Um, I don't think there's a whole lot of issues with my stuff, but Jamie did have some issues >> with >> with her stuff. And all that she has in there is the RV. That's where I'll stop talking because I'm guessing her video is going to talk more about exactly what happened.
>> It's not till Tuesday. But I will say that that lightning strike was close >> and it was scary >> and uh and we had to have the repair guy come out and work on the RV here.
>> I was literally live with you all and I don't know if you remember but Jenn Gemma almost killed me like because she was so scared and all the horses ran out of the barn like it was >> Yeah. Um, I think that we're just blessed to be able to offer a place for our horses to go, shelter. But you guys do know that horses, our even our horses >> after that lightning strike, they chose not to be inside the barns. They ran down to the trees.
>> Yeah.
>> They went under the trees. That's where I guess they naturally feel safer for whatever reason.
>> And so that could happen to anybody. I don't know if the horse rescue lady had shelters.
>> I don't know. So, don't we're not going to get on her for that.
>> But it's a sad thing. She's the lady who tries to help horses rehabilitate and um and adopt them back out. And that lightning struck that tree where those horses were at and killed all five of them.
>> Man, we had it was a bad weekend for horses. I don't know if you saw this, but there was a horrible wreck today in Sugarland. No. that uh people were hauling horses and one of them's leg got off and they had to put it down there on the side of the highway.
>> So >> Oh, I was >> What do you mean it got off?
>> So the wall of the of the trailer, >> did they wreck?
>> Yes. So the wall of the trailer came in like this and whenever I guess the horse slid down the side where that happened or whatever and the metal like >> oh >> it was just like it was a bad Houston weekend for animals and just very public and traumatic and just the horse community is just very sad over those two two very public events that happened.
>> And so I don't know if the buildings are grounded. All I know is that we have the some of our barns are on pads, uh, concrete, sorry, cinder blocks.
>> Mhm.
>> Some are mounted or bolted in, anchored in to the concrete.
>> Yeah.
>> So, I don't know what you'd have to have to have one grounded. I I don't know anything about lightning rods and all those kinds of things. I know that some house, some older houses have rods that go all the way down and then it's connected to something that goes into the dirt >> and that will help divert the lightning away from the electrical stuff.
>> Well, I don't know if it actually it saves the electrical stuff, but it saves it did it reduces I think the >> Well, we might have to check on that because we did have it blew out some breakers here inside the RV and uh we had to have a repair guy come out the next day. the mobile the traveling mobile RV guy come out to replace the things that had blown out in here >> who is phenomenal by the way. We have not introduced you to that person yet, but we have really found some incredible knowledge.
>> A copper rod at least 20 foot down. How do you drive it in the ground? How do you ever get a 20 foot rod into the ground? Seriously, you can't like tap it in if it's 20 feet because 20 feet is way ass up there. How do you get a 20 foot rod to the ground?
>> I don't know.
>> That's seriously, I have no idea how you'd get a rod 20 feet to the ground.
>> Wow.
>> Xander would know. Somebody says, "Guess I'll ask."
>> Guess.
>> I bet your scout will know, too.
Actually, >> guess we'll have to figure it out.
>> Yeah. Interesting. All right, guys. What else you got, Jane? What's coming up this week besides your traveling plans?
>> Work. I'm so excited to be off tomorrow, though.
um and have just one more day. Uh I have things that have come in to make changes in the chicken world at home.
>> Yeah.
>> And I will because today was the first day with no rain. I know it's supposed to rain tomorrow afternoon, but I think that it'll be dry enough for me to install some of those things tomorrow.
So, kind of excited about that. and um just normal care and projects. I can tell you one thing that Lester has to do and I have not I have not told him about this yet.
>> If this is about the white donkey, you just said that when this live started.
No.
>> No. What?
>> Y'all have been incredibly generous to Lester Eugene Marorrow Jr. here. Lester Eugene Maro Jr. is going to get locked in the shop at Longhorn Lusters until he opens all of his packages.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> Because let me You're all grounded. First of all, you're grounded for spoiling him like that.
>> Yeah.
>> But >> it was my birthday week, guys. And I tell you what, uh I I Sorry, guys. The flies are coming to our light. Um, so it was my birthday week, but I was also low-key sick a couple of those days.
Yeah, >> I didn't tell you all. I didn't want you to worry, but I did not feel well um for three of those days. And so, I didn't really do much. I come out. I went live every morning. I showed up, guys. I showed up.
>> You did show up.
>> I showed up for you all. And I never told you I didn't feel good. I may have I may have mentioned it, but I know whenever a guy says he's sick, you're like, "He gots a man cold." So I just prefer not to even say anything. I just deal with it.
>> You don't you got a man cold dying over here. So I tried to keep it lowkey and just work my way through it. So I did not really do what I normally do. So I have a few gifts I want to open up, but I want to do it on a live or at least on a video. What's wrong? And so I am way way behind. Sorry, guys. I'm way behind.
I mean, you're going to spend some quality time in that shop is what I'm saying.
>> Well, so you know, >> maybe you could get Lex Lex Marorrow to do it with you. That would be fun.
>> Denise Kennedy goes, I could tell you were sick. I I know. I didn't feel it, guys. I was trying not to to show it, but uh you know what? That's just what we do. We have to suck it up and just >> Sometimes though, don't you feel like you're also convincing yourself that you're not that sick?
>> Yeah. Oh, yeah. Absolutely.
>> If I sit there and tell you all that I'm sick, I'm going to make myself even sicker.
>> Yeah.
>> So, I just tell myself that I'm fine.
Just I'm fine. I even told him, she goes, "What's wrong?" I'm fine.
>> Which is code that he has a man cold, but >> I'm like, "What can what can I make you?" And he's just like, "I mean, >> I could have some gumbo from the casino, maybe." or do we have any of those pork chops? Like that's what he would say. Do we have any do we have any pork chops?
Like is it's just killing him from the inside out that like the only thing that would solve it is casino gumbo or some pork chops.
>> Yeah. Now I told you guys before that I do not want this channel to ever become a poor Lester. A poor Lester. A poor Lester. I will I will fake it till one day I'm no longer around anymore. But we're not going to have this channel like, "Oh my god, is it finally happening? Is it finally happening?" You know what's sad?
And and also, you know what's very sad?
>> What >> you should be ashamed of yourselves actually because I was going back looking at my videos from, you know, at the end of the month it'll give you YouTube is really, really wonderful at giving you a breakdown of your end of month analytics.
And I had three videos that YouTube says, "Hey, congratulations. These videos were your top videos of the month." Now, before I say mine, you know what I'm talking about. I do. Tell me some of the titles of some of those that were your top videos of the month, just from what you can remember.
>> Uh, I'll tell you a few of my examples for some of y'all who may watch my channel. The one where Jolene the Longhorn could not find her baby.
>> The the month that that video came out, YouTube was all about, "Hey, congratulations. this video is it's reached so many people. There's a lot of watch time. People are really really enjoying your content.
>> Yeah.
>> Keep it up, Longhorn Lester. And I'm like, "Yeah, you haven't stand up that you can remember."
>> Uh there's one where when we were still in Plum Grove and it was raining so hard that everything was flooded and I'm trampling through I think it's called like out of nowhere and um and it was it was a storm out of nowhere and we're like pulling horses out of the flooded barn and everything else. So, there are videos that come up that YouTube will say, "Hey, great job. Hey, wonderful job. Hey, way to go." Do you know that in the month of April, I had three videos that YouTube says, "Wonderful job, Lester. Great job." All three of those videos were about my cancer.
>> A >> Yes. Yes.
>> That means people It means that that's horrible that you only watch a video to watch me die.
>> THAT'S NOT TRUE. I DON'T REALLY HAVE TIME FOR YOUR CHANNEL, but I will watch you die.
>> That's horrible. That's not why that >> Well, listen. How come you don't understand? It's kind of like Hold on.
Hold on. Have you ever did you ever used to get like really really frustrated with Facebook whenever people would click the don't like button, they had the thumbs up, the the the heart, the love, the whatever. But if you ever played a video that had something bad like like an animal getting sick or an animal dying or something horrible, >> everyone would click the down thumb. Now listen what that would because you like this is horrible. I hate seeing this happen >> because you hate to see it happen. It wasn't that you dislike the video, >> but you don't understand. Whenever YouTube or Facebook sees those down thumbs, they're like, "Oh, this is controversial. Whoa, this is not a good video for our platform. Oh, this is not meet our community guidelines.
>> And wait, wait, wait, wait. It's a great video. It's the It's farm life. It's real life, but an animal's sick.
>> So, they're sad because they were sick, not because they didn't like the video.
>> Yeah. So, you guys are hitting a thumb down because you don't because you didn't like the animal being sick. You hate to say thumbs up to a sick animal, right? But that's how I felt like it was. I I think that because people watched those videos of the of the um the casino. I was reading the comments.
people watch the videos of the cancer stuff. They watch the live streams talking about the cancer stuff and they spent more time watching those videos.
So YouTube, they're not smart enough to understand exactly what's that, you know, >> I think.
>> So they're like, "Congratulations, you had three blockbuster videos this month." And I looked at them and they're all three about my cancer. I'm like, "God darn it. Gosh darn it, Jamie."
>> But it's not the people that are here because the people that are here are not just the cancer watchers. you know, they were here through all of it. It's the people who only watch the cancer is what he's talking about. So, it's none of y'all. It's none of y'all.
>> No, no, no, no. If No. If you're watching now, then you're not one of those who only watch the cancer.
>> Yes.
>> Right.
>> Yes.
>> So, I thought that was something crawling on.
>> Yeah. They're crawling all over us.
They're flying around us. You guys, I know you have to see all the bugs flying around us. We our light has attracted them.
>> Yeah. We're We're a magnet for bugs now.
>> Yeah.
>> It's great.
>> So, well, listen guys, we are going to let you go. It It's night time and we got to go play cards now. It's time for rummy. And we're going to try that game that you guys told us about the having to have 10 cards in your hand and you cannot lay down until you're ready to go all the way out. It's going to be a new twist of our rummy. And thank you all for the kind people who told us how to play that way.
>> We've never done it before, >> so it'll be something new.
>> So yeah, thank you guys for watching tonight. We're very blessed to have you, but we're going to go spend some time with Lex now.
Alrighty, >> y'all. Stay well. Stay safe.
>> Lex will beat us. You watch.
>> Lex will probably beat us tomorrow. I do have a I do I I have a video that I should post tomorrow. I'll post a video tomorrow.
>> Okay.
>> I was going to go I was just going to go live and and all of that. What was that?
Did you see that?
>> It was big bats. I think the bats are coming.
>> We got to go. We got to turn this off.
We love you all so very much. Thank you.
>> It's the greatest.
