Black Women Outpacing Everyone In College Degrees?

So there's this very strange but very specific mistruth lie to put it a different way that I keep hearing and it is that black women are the most educated group in the US. It's very strange how often I've heard this but I heard it again recently on X. Uh this post 120,000 views.

Um, I don't really care about the other stuff, but here, black women are among the most educated groups in the US. So, that's not true. uh, black women and and we're talking I'm not going to get into IQ, but just if we're talking about like do you have a college degree, black women are more educated than black women or sorry, black women are more educated than black men and Hispanics, but they're not they're not more educated than white people of either gender or Asian people of either gender. So like if you're, you know, if we're thinking about the totem pole of where black women fall in terms of having degrees, it's pretty mid, like mid to low. So I don't know why this specifically black women are the most educated groups. I I don't know why this keeps getting repeated, but I thought this was hilarious. She doubled like people were correcting her, but she doubled down. If this triggers you, the fact is black people have come a long way. Okay, that's that's fine. Black women earn about 64% of bachelor's degrees and over 70% of master's degrees awarded to black students.

[00:04:30]Singaporean women not as educated as black women. Like so just looking at black graduation rates from high school if these women really believe in that.

[00:04:47]But how could like I don't know just like if if I were a black woman, you know, and I'm moving in in the world and I see what the Asian community is doing and I see my own community. I don't know how out of touch I would need to be to honestly believe that I like we were more educated than them.

[00:05:12]Like that's wild. That's wild. And I don't know how how to fix that lack of self-awareness like to this level. Oh yeah. So yeah, here's here is one of the most educated people on the planet.

[00:05:55]I'm trolling. I'm trolling. Right. I made that video last night. So, I can't I'm not I can't even And it's like I don't mean to like always be picking on the black community, but it's I mean, let's say I were to come on here and be like, I have the most popular podcast.

[00:06:21]People would correct that, right? And I think that's fair. It's just such a such a flagrantly untrue thing. It's kind of hard not to stop and go, "Hang on a second.

[00:06:33]Let's talk about it." And so, yeah. So, no, black women are not the most educated group. And please, next time you hear someone say this, call it out.

[00:06:43]Uh, yeah, white people, both genders, more degrees. Uh, Asian people, both genders, more degrees. I was actually kind of surprised to see that Hispanics were lagging behind black people in the degrees situation, but I mean apparently that is the case. Um, and I also know that of black women with degrees, a shocking number of them actually work for the government. Basically, if you're a black woman with a degree, you're either in healthcare or you work for the government. That's why you had people like Ayanna Presley complaining about all the Doge cuts because it was disproportionately affecting black women who were, you know, no longer had these cushy government jobs.
