Canada has officially entered a technical recession, becoming the only G7 country to do so, with GDP contracting for two consecutive quarters. This economic downturn is attributed to the Liberal government's policies, including excessive spending, tax increases, and mass immigration programs that have failed to stimulate sustainable economic growth. Despite Mark Carney's promises of the strongest economy in the G7, Canada's economy has shrunk, with housing becoming unaffordable, household savings at historic lows, and business investment declining. The video argues that Canada's GDP per capita has been declining for years, and that the government's focus on immigration and international commitments has come at the expense of domestic economic stability and Canadian citizens' quality of life.

Outraged Canadians Throw Mark Carney and Liberals Under The Bus for Leading Canada Into RECESSION!Ajouté :
Mark Carney promised the strongest economy in the G7 and today we found out that Canada is the only country in the G7 in a recession. Canada's economy is smaller now than when Carney took office.
>> Canada just entered a recession becoming the only G7 nation to do so. And here's what makes it worse. Mexico faces the exact same US tariffs and still managed to grow. Canada didn't. GDP has now contracted for two consecutive quarters.
Turns out blocking oil sands pipelines and tankers is bad for the economy.
Canadians elected a global banker, economist, and self-described crisis manager and ended up in a recession anyway.
>> I hate to tell you so, but let the man in the robe be the bearer of bad news.
Canada is officially in a technical recession as our economy stalls in the first quarter of the year. But as usual, I think they're just trying to downplay the headlines because if you actually look at the metrics, we're downright in a recession. This was the first quarter of 2026. Hmm. This was the last quarter of 2025. Hmm. And this was the second quarter of 2025. Hmm. Three of the last four quarters have been negative. And year-over-year we're down 0.2%.
That means that for the last year there's been no growth of the economy in Canada. Actually, it's just gone worse because the cost of living has increased, taxes have increased.
Our economy just stalled. No, sorry. It shrunk. But it gets way worse when you realize that Canada is the only country in the G7 that is now in a technical recession, although we're in a real recession. The only one. This comes after an entire year of Mark Carney telling us and gaslighting us saying that we were the best in the G7 and we had the strongest, most resilient economy. And yet, stats, facts don't back it up. It's just being gaslit the liberal way. Plus, doesn't it get even worse when we consider that we've been sold and told time and time again by the mainstream media that he's a world-class economist, a central banker with experience in both the UK and Canada, the man for the job, the one who will fix the economy. I mean, that's what I hear from liberals all the time. He's the brightest. Give him time. He knows what he's doing. Well, first of all, it's been the same government, same party for 10 years, but sure, we gave him the benefit of the doubt. It's been over a year, and the economy shrunk under his leadership. There's still no trade deal with US. We have Chinese foreign police forces operating here secretly and covertly. His Minister of Public Safety is trying to snoop on your DMs. Tech companies are talking about leaving Canada because of tyrannical bills. And now, we are the only G7 country in a recession.
Congratulations.
Elections have consequences. So, it's official today. It finally came out.
Canada is in a recession, which means our economy is cooked. But, at the same time, people are like, well, there's so many wealthy people that live in Canada.
Why can't they fix it? I don't think you guys understand. 90% of the wealthy people that are in Canada don't live in Canada anymore. All those big mansions you see, at least 50% of them are abandoned. Nobody lives in them. They're just there as investments, but even those investments are going down because the real estate market's going down. So, there's less money inflow coming into Canada. So, why would a wealthy person stay in Canada? Most of them live in other countries while Canada is the only G7 country that is currently in a recession.
>> The Canadian economy has slipped into a technical recession, according to new data.
>> Well, then giant surprise, but we all kind of knew that was coming. But, get ready for something else even more interesting.
If you right now Google 2030 Great Depression they already have tons of information on it.
4 years away.
Elbows up.
>> Well, Canada, you are officially in recession. Thank you to all the elbows out people. Thank you to the Carney government that promised us so much and delivered so little. Maybe, just maybe, next time when you go and vote, you really truly read between the lines and look at the past promises and just reflect for your future voting.
God bless Canada.
We need a lot of it, a lot of blessing.
>> Well, after 11 years of liberal spending, Canada is in fact the only G7 country in a recession. While one in three working Canadians are going into debt just to put groceries on their table, the Prime Minister at 30,000 ft is spending $95,000 on in-flight food. We're talking about braised beef, we're talking about special buttercups, and fine wines.
Deficits have doubled. Costs keep Costs keep going up, and Canadians are falling behind. So, when will this liberal government admit its failure and reverse course?
>> Well, elbows up, Canada. Canada is officially in a recession thanks to the elbows up, thanks to the liberal government, and thanks to the economic genius Prime Minister Mackanifor ensuring that the last two quarters, Canada, among the G7 countries, is the only G7 country in a recession. And Canadians are not shocked about this because they've been seeing the things that are happening in Canada, and they've been admitting that in sure for sure, Canada is in a total mess thanks to the liberal voters, too. And apparently, they are throwing Mackani under the bus, these elbows up, and these liberal voters for making sure that their country, among the G7, will be the only country to be in a recession. In this video, let's watch what Canadians have to say about this recession era, about this news that is just coming in that Canada is in a technical recession. Then, we shall be discussing about it.
>> This is breaking news. Canada has officially entered a recession. This is two quarters of declining GDP growth, and that is now what we have today. We are the only G7 country that is now in a technical recession. You cannot just blame the Trump tariffs. Every other country is dealing with that. We are the only country now in a recession, but as a Canadian, you know we have been in a recession for many years. It was simply hidden by this government through their mass immigration program to bolster gross GDP demand without any thought of our public services, our housing, our health care, and that's why it's all being destroyed. Our quality of life has been destroyed, but now they can't hide it anymore. It is breaking news everywhere. We're officially in a recession. We've all been feeling it. We all know that it's been happening, and this government has always said, "We're not in a recession. We're not in a recession." And we are. This government has squandered the biggest opportunity in the G7. We have such a beautiful country with so much opportunity, and it's all slipped through our fingers.
And it's been done by purpose, by the way. This government has done this by purpose. Look at the people they put in place to drive investment. We have business investment fleeing this country. For God's sakes, our innovation AI minister is Evan Solomon. He was a failed news broadcaster and art dealer for Mark Carney. These are the people they put in these positions. Of course, businesses are not going to invest in this country. Like, people need to wake up. If for some reason you were truly living under a rock, and you did not feel and see your fellow Canadians struggling every day, what are you going to say now? That we're the only G7 country in a technical recession. This is about holding people accountable. We need to hold them accountable to make Canada the country that it could be, prosperous for all Canadians. And this is what we have in front of us now. We are officially in a recession. This is massive and breaking news. Canada has just officially entered into a technical recession.
What that means is that our GDP has declined for several straight quarters.
It declined last year, and it just declined in this quarter.
Three of the last four quarters have been negative.
Investment, business investment, is now down five quarters in a row. Our population is shrinking for the second straight quarter, and we're the only G7 country in a recession.
Keep in mind that every other nation, every other G7 nation faces the exact same Trump tariffs that we do.
Here's the difference.
Germany grew, Japan grew, Mexico, who also shares in Kuzma, they grew as well.
So, the smartest banker in the room just delivered a technical recession. And here's the part that every Canadian should know.
Mark Carney was the economic advisor for Justin Trudeau. So, when Trudeau was working on his economic response plan to COVID, where we had the record number of debt, more debt than every single prime minister in history combined, that was Carney's plan.
And now that Carney's officially the prime minister, he's officially put us into a technical recession. Outside of COVID, this hasn't happened in nearly a decade.
How is it possible that someone who is so highly educated, who has his PhD in economics, has his Harvard degree, could fail so miserably? It has nothing to do with the Trump tariffs.
The man with the plan has an awful plan, and it's not working.
14 of his MPs are unhappy. One just announced that he's going to be resigning. You have a province that's separating, and you have a country whose economy is going down the drain. Ask yourself this. Why do you think Mark Carney has nearly 95% of all of his investments in America?
He's not investing in Canada.
Why do you think that is?
And to those who voted for him, elbows up.
>> So, this showed up on my Instagram feed this morning. Canada is officially in a recession after two straight quarters of negative growth.
>> Canada's been in a recession and we've been telling you this for over 15 years since 2014. Why, Mike? 2014 we're booming. Our real estate was going up.
All the Chinese investing and the money laundering was coming in. Everyone was getting rich on paper. What are you talking about 2014? Well, that was the first year where the average median home in Canada passed the $1 million mark. Average home. Same home, average home, same average, cracked foundation, broken roof, teardown home, $1 million. And that same house in Alabama, 20 grand. And $1 million in Canada, same house in Florida, 25 grand.
Built after World War I, cracked foundation home in in Vancouver crossed a million dollars. Now, where are we now?
We are in a depression. And we've been making depression versus recession videos on this channel for years arguing and debating.
If you can't get into If the average citizen born and raised, educated cannot get into their own real estate because they're bought out.
Remember those real estate agents? If you don't buy now, you're going to be forever bought out of the market.
You can't afford to eat right now and your wages haven't kept up with the price of real estate because the money laundering was horrendous. From 2010 to March 2024, the Chinese laundered $2.4 to $2.6 trillion through your real estate market. They did the same thing in Australia, New Zealand, and all those other countries that speak English. Got completely obliterated by Chinese dirty money in the trillions.
So what did Canada think they could do?
Oh, let's bring in 4 5 million Hindus.
We'll put 30 to a room, 30 to an apartment. Don't worry about occupancy and and don't worry about the environment and going green. Yeah, just put 30 40 of them in a room.
That fell apart real quick. Unhirable people with no talent with no skills and nothing nothing like that. Destroyed.
Completely destroyed. We are in a depression. We've been in a depression for ages. And if you haven't woken up to see, "Oh, when I was doing so well."
Yeah, cuz you were using your home as an ATM machine. You were taking the money out of your equity. Now your house is worth less than what you bought it for.
Now you're crying. But you were warned.
You were warned because everything comes to an end. Everything hits the wall.
The truth always surfaces. And that dirty money that came in from China?
You get a good government in here to do a a forensic audit from 2010 to March 2024?
Housing will go down 80 90%.
To correlate with wages because they keep raising taxes to keep raising everything. Oh, we're we're we're we're we're we're negative growth. We're in a recession.
We're [snorts] in a depression now, people.
Buckle up. It's going to be a bumpy ride. Mike Martin's here. I have spoken.
>> So bad news for Canada, but not real breaking news for working-class Canadians. Canada is now in a technical recession. But like I've been saying over the last year, Canadians have been in their own recession as individuals for much longer than just the last two quarters. Now, we've had two two consecutive quarters of economic decline, which puts us in a technical recession. So all the economists are going to be boasting about that or like talking about that. But our GDP per capita has been declining for years now. Over the last 10 years, we have performed nearly the worst out of 100 countries.
So as Now, Canada as a whole is now in a technical recession. Individual working-class Canadians, the average person in Canada has been in a recession for years now. And believe me, we all know it. We all feel it. We see it every single day. But nobody cares cuz they say, "Well, that's GDP per capita. That doesn't take into consideration the entire country." But if the average person in your country is in a technical recession themselves, that is much worse and should be looked at under a telescope compared to okay, now all of a sudden we've had two consecutive quarters of the country in a recession.
We should be caring more about the individual person. We should have acknowledged that Canadians have been in a recession a long time ago and we should have been putting together an economic plan to help the country and help the individual working class people.
>> Good news, Canada. We are in a recession. And that means we've hit rock bottom, which means it can't get worse, right?
Right? Results from the last quarter show that Canada is in a technical recession. They should just call it what it is, a recession, because by every stretch of the word, by every metric, we are in a recession. Anyways, a technical recession, technically speaking, is two consecutive negative quarters of GDP growth. And that's what we've had right now. I feel they should just call it a recession because I mean, look at our employment numbers and the rest of that stuff and you'll know that we are in a recession. Not nothing technical about it. They say we're in a technical recession and even so it is marginal because this last quarter was only about 0.1% negative.
That's marginal. What is not marginal is the results for people. We're seeing high levels of credit card delinquencies. People can hardly afford food and youth unemployment is astronomically high. So, can it get worse? That is the question I have for you guys. The catalyst for this is those schools money negotiations. If those schools money negotiations go badly and we get hosed or worse, we come back with no deal, yeah, there'll be blood in the streets.
Yeah, it will be scary hours in the streets.
>> Canada is now in a recession. That's right. Stats Canada said today Canada's economy continues to fall even further behind under Prime Minister Mark Carney.
Get this.
Canada is now the only G7 country in a recession. Even though those same countries face the same global pressures that Canada does.
But here at home, Canadians are struggling. Household savings have fallen to the lowest level in years.
Housing is the most unaffordable in Canada than in any other country in the entire G7.
Business investment in Canada has dropped every single quarter with the lowest investment per worker. And millions of Canadians, especially young ones, can hardly afford the basics. And every day they lose hope that they'll ever be able to afford a home. Never mind to go after their futures with confidence that they can capture their big dreams.
Prime Minister Carney told you he was the man with the international credentials, the economic education, and the experience you needed. He said he was a man with a plan for Canada's economy and promised to get a deal done with the United States.
But the numbers are in after a year of him as Prime Minister, and here's the truth that Pierre Poilievre and we Conservatives have been warning about, the inevitable results of the Liberals' tax, borrow, and spend, and anti-development agenda. As they say in my neck of the woods, the chickens have come home to roost, and the consequences are here today in black and white.
Already struggling Canadians must face this predictable, brutal Carney recession.
Never forget that when Pierre Poilievre questioned Mark Carney before he was Prime Minister and while he advised Justin Trudeau, Pierre warned of escalating inflation in Canada that would make everything more expensive for everyone.
Now, it really says almost all you need to know about the masterful illusionist ideologue that Mark Carney is that he arrogantly predicted instead that Canada would see deflation.
Well, Carney was catastrophically wrong, and it's never been more clear that Canadians cannot afford this Prime Minister who is is just another Liberal, but maybe more dangerous because he's actually an out-of-touch privileged elite who has spent a lot of his working life away from our Canadian home, and he self-identifies as a European.
He's a fake.
And Canadians pay the ever-growing price in every part of your lives for his excessive government spending and taxing, his empty words and illusions, photo-ops, empty speeches, and more declarations or agreements on paper do not grow Canada's economy and productivity, or put affordable food on tables in affordable homes in safe communities. Canadian families can't ever get ahead of their bills while they continue to be forced to pay for more liberal taxes, spending, borrowing, and endless debt.
Conservatives would cut taxes. We'd scrap all those anti-development laws and regulations that block building and deter investment. We'd restore hope for Canadians who struggle to keep their heads above water because of this liberal government so that anyone who works hard can enjoy an affordable home, a safe street, good food on the table, and capture their dreams. Because conservatives want a country where people get ahead by having the best product and the best work, not by having the most political influence. But hey, just remember, it's all elbows up, right?
>> Someone might keep on wondering why are these Canadians throwing Makani under the bus and the elbows up under the bus and you know, slapping the liberals in the face for causing all this mess. Well, it is the liberals uh fault, I dare say, because you see, it doesn't matter how Makani found the government. It doesn't matter how Makani found Canada coping up. It doesn't matter how the situation was in Canada before Makani got into office. What really matters right now to every Canadian in Canada is Makani is the one who is in office and this recession is happening under his leadership and under his government and under his watch as the Prime Minister it is his legal and moral duty to ensure that Canadians could never face anything like this among the G7 but right now technically Canada is in the G7. It is his legal and moral duty to be held accountable for these mistakes. That is why you're seeing Canadians are throwing him under the bus because they've been saying and they've been crying and they've been complaining about how Makani and the Liberals are leading this country. They are struggling very hard to ensure they have the majority to ensure that they buy expensive cars driving state of the art vehicles. They don't put Canadians interest at heart. They pass policies that don't benefit Canadians. They aid other countries while Canadians are really really needing these taxes that they're being overtaxed that are being sent abroad to fix the mess that is happening in country that led to this a recession. What are the mess we're talking about? Canadians are struggling with housing. Canadians are struggling with affordability, inflation, high cost of living. We are seeing groceries becoming a luxury for Canadians. Even full-time working Canadians are admitting that life is unaffordable to them. High cost of living is there not to mention the high cost of gas not to mention you know people can't afford to pay rent, homeless crisis, affordability crisis, food crisis. We are having food insecurity. We are seeing things like mass immigration which which is now something that is literally killing Canadians right now. For instance this mass immigration these immigrants that are coming to Canada we are not saying they shouldn't come. We are saying that the Canadian government should provide enough resources that can be split between Canadians and these new coming immigrants. They can provide enough resources that will accommodate these newcomers into Canada. But the Liberal government is not doing that. It is allowing people into the country with less resources. It is not making deals with the United States. It's not moving.
The country is literally not growing.
And Mark Carney is passing bills like the Canada Strong Sovereign Fund, you know, aiding Ukraine and other countries. But Canadians are struggling.
So, these are the kind of things that are making Canadians themselves throw Mark Carney under the bus for causing all this mess in Canada that is now leading to recession. And it is upon his legal and moral duty to start listening to people.
To start fixing this issue because no matter how hard or no matter how worse he found Canada, Canada is under his control now. He's the one that is there to restore the name of Canada because right now Canada is officially in a recession just that they don't want to admit it because Canadians themselves are saying, "We are officially in a recession. Stop these shenanigans of saying technically because we know as the citizens our country in the G7, the only country in the G7 is in a recession thanks to Mark Carney, thanks to the Liberals up, the Liberals voters, and everyone who supports what Mark Carney is doing. But literally, as you can see, things are not pretty at all in Canada.
Tell me what you think in the comment section, guys. What is the solution that can fix this mess? Do you think that Mark Carney is the one who is supposed to fix these issues as the prime minister or what are your thoughts? Drop your thoughts in the comments. Subscribe to this channel, guys, and see you in the next one.
