Behind the scenes at the biggest Crypto Conference in 2026!Added:
We had such a cool day today.
>> Running around be going a completely wrong way.
>> Oh, look at >> meeting the gsr guys.
>> Yeah. Podcast one, podcast two. Now we're going to some other side event.
>> I could we have to go now, but it was a pleasure. I would have loved on to see the contest.
>> Okay, this is the first time doing a vlog. We're at Consensus Miami. or taking you guys with us across multiple events. Today is one of the busiest days. We just went to the Xbox event. We are going to meet the CEO of GSR. It's going to be super important for us for the product that we're building on Canton. Then we have podcast number one, podcast number two. So yeah, let's go.
That was awesome. A lot of hedge fund guys that are super keen on using stock as collateral, they get it. You know, the best feedback I got, he was like, "Okay, this is such an easy product.
It's inevitable. It's going to happen.
We're building infrastructure for tokenized stocks. We believe the next wave of asset influx into crypto is going to come from stocks, from the stock market. Now you see people tokenizing stocks like our partner Xtocks or Kraken. The real magic comes from combining tokenized equities this new asset class together with what we have been using in DeFi for the past six seven years doing lending perpetual futures doing prediction markets all that kind of stuff. And that's what we are building. The lending market can be pretty abstract for people that are not used to crypto, right? We're building a web three product, for stock investors.
You can turn your stock into yield bearing assets. Through our technology, people are able to earn cash flow on their assets, which is something that only professional investors and institutions had access to. Now, we allow anyone to have access to that. And also, you can get very cheap leverage.
You can borrow dollars against your stock. you buy more stock and now you have a leverage position essentially in our platform you can do that if that makes sense I'm feeling it like Miami is nice it's a little too hot like my Swiss body is not designed for that heat I'm always doing this we're now walking to the national hotel I'm not sure what the name is exactly but it's down the street it's a very important meeting just to quickly say hi establishing a relationship we're going to need a market maker it's going to be a very quick one like we're on the run because actually in 45 minutes. We have to be at a podcast.
>> Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Pause.
>> National hotel.
>> Yeah, >> we've been going the completely wrong way.
>> No, >> guys. That's why we >> address the directions is is a is like an area of improvement.
>> Oh, look. I told you.
>> Let's take the Let's take the >> Oh my god, he's so funny, >> dude. Let me do the directions. No, I am >> I'm capable.
>> You trying to give a monologue for the vlog? been doing it for a while cuz we're not going anywhere.
>> We're not late. We're not late.
>> Let's just highlight, man. If I didn't point it out, >> we would have 10 minutes. Yeah. A good 10 minutes down.
>> So, Brad, what I wanted to say, our adviser, I wanted to meet him actually like 10 minutes before we're going to meet GSR. That's now not going to happen. Uh, >> directions is not your strongest.
>> No, it's really not. I don't know. I think >> it's okay. We can't make it everything.
>> No, no. I think since Google Maps came out, like my brain just outsourced location.
>> I think we're going to arrive in 1 minute. Oh, easy.
>> He's just expecting me now. He's like three guys in the camera. But you know Brad as well. You already met him as well.
>> Oh, >> you were talking about fishing and stuff with with Brad.
>> Oh, yeah. Yeah, he's great. Yeah, dude.
That guy's actually amazing.
>> He's cool.
>> Yeah, I'm super excited. Like, have you been to the main conference yet?
>> Uh, did you get inside?
>> I have people. I have people's Indian. He'll get >> He's like, I own this place.
>> I'm too cousin.
>> My cousin. I'm just Yeah. I mean, the thing is like we got tickets, right? My ticket >> and he just didn't claim it.
>> Good, man. Sorry. We have on camera.
>> Yeah, we we're recording a little vlog.
>> We have We have to leave.
>> We have to leave pretty soon. We're going to record We have to do a podcast.
>> Brad told me you got a podcast on.
>> Is it okay for you to be on camera or no? Oh yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
>> I'm easy.
>> Are you in the in the London office or >> I'm in Singapore, but I was just saying to Brad, I'm moving to London. I applied a couple companies in Cayman. It's related to kind of the tokenization effort actually. So, we'd love to talk to you guys about like tokenized stocks and what you guys are doing.
>> Yeah, we started doing uh lending for tokenized stocks. Like I have a background in in DeFi developments. In six years, I've been involved with stable coins, lending markets, yield aggregators. The product really works.
Tokenized stocks. We're now at a billion TVL in the whole ecosystem and because I had experience with lending markets I was like okay someone will build the for stocks.
>> Yes. Okay. So you're taking that model you are trainable lending market on tokeniz >> correct. Yeah. Just for fun I applied for feature lab right? I was okay I want to build on canton and we're building currently equity.
>> Yeah >> on canon.
>> And that's why I wanted to speak to you guys. I mean what's your take on Kton?
I'm curious.
>> Yeah good question. I know I was talking to Dom Wilson from DRW about this in New York last month and obviously they're massive supporter of it. It would be interesting to in terms of >> which end market you're addressing, right? And is it really the institutions that you're trying to bring on chain? I question that. I challenge that a little bit because I feel like the institutions that you know we know from our chat days they have access, right? So what are you really solving for them? What is the unlock? I'm not sure. I don't think they'll be the early adopters, put it that way, right? Do you think the early adopters will still be the crypto native investors? It depends for which end market institutions. Yes. For the early adopters, it may not be on.
>> It's I think it's cool because there is a filter like on other chains. Anyone can just deploy a smart contract with good intention or bad intention. On Kendall, you have a little you have a little filter. Yeah. We will see if it's a good thing or a bad thing. It's different to anything that I've seen so far.
>> 100%. Yeah. Again, it goes back to how do we solve real problems? Right. And that's where I think you guys will get traction. So, we would love to >> see if we can be helpful.
>> Yeah, that's cool. No, that's awesome.
I'm happy to hear.
>> I think you're on to something for sure.
And I've been a founder myself. Um, some successful, some not so successful, right? And and I think my biggest learning was always solving a very specific problem for a very narrow set of users and then going from there. But I think Z lending it should be massive, right? It should and it should be on chain and it it should become more efficient as a result. And you don't need intermediaries like you know Black Rock BJI to go and do that.
>> We have to jump actually and we we need to go to the You got 25 minutes ride.
>> We have to go now. But it was a pleasure. I would have loved to stay more. I would have loved to say more.
It's been a pleasure. Thank you so much for your time.
>> Thank you also and we see nature.
>> We will.
>> Cool.
>> You're the man.
>> Nice to meet you.
>> Thank you.
>> All right guys, be safe.
>> I was a little bit worried that I mean it's CEO of GSR, right? It's not just some little crypto firm like they do multi-billion dollar volumes and like we come three guys camera. We just invade the table interview and now we're heading up to the next thing. What do you guys think?
>> That was a good conversation. Yeah.
Yeah. Very good. Quite insightful.
>> How did you order the car when you when you were in the conversation?
Multitasking.
>> Oh my god.
>> We're going to be 5 minutes late.
>> Is it Jack Jack? The one we know.
>> No, it's the other Jack.
>> Oh my gosh. It's Jack, too.
>> There's a lot of Jacks.
>> It was good.
>> Very good.
>> And the guy was so friendly and so nice.
>> Just a very normal person. That's nice.
Krypto >> wanting to help and and be excited for it. He saw the the vision. Having smart people >> agree with you and be like, "Okay, this makes sense what you're doing. This is This is nice. This is really cool." I was sweating so much >> cuz you're nervous.
>> No, because I'ming drink a lot of water.
>> My Swiss body is crying right now.
>> Have water. Are you a lot of water? No, I have not.
>> You need to have that tiny.
>> I was like expecting, you know, the whole thing to come.
>> It's like one sip.
>> Now we're going to the first podcast. We have to go here. We invite for a podcast.
>> That's not the other location.
>> Okay. Again, wrong spot.
>> You see the pattern emerging here.
>> Whatever. We'll be there in like 2 minutes. Amalfi brand new.
>> Wait, where are we going?
>> I don't know. I didn't hear.
>> I know. How many times How many times he said he knows it?
>> Oh, dude. This is where we were yesterday. I like this area. It's cool.
Yeah, like all the graffiti everywhere.
It's very nice.
>> Yeah. Welcome to Wwood.
>> Yeah, it's really beautiful. Oh, this is a billionaire boys >> on the main tourist out here.
>> Where's the wrong one? Like one block down.
>> Yeah, there's two actually. So, we're in this one.
>> We have to go after to another one. Like we have backtoback podcast. Like man booked two podcasts. Like >> back to back.
>> Yeah, literally back to back. Where are you from?
>> I'm from Wisconsin. Are you what? What's your deal? You're your Andreas. You're so But is that in German?
>> Yeah, like I'm Swiss, but my mom is from Chile, >> bro. This is Europe.
>> I know every pleasure. Sorry, we've never been here, but uh Oh, Jackie doing the >> I'm doing the Sorry, I didn't know. I didn't know.
>> Someone big. Speak to the guy in the hair right now. Big brain.
>> No, I'm shy. You have to You would have to introduce me. I can't go up to him like, "Hey, man. What's up?" Yeah, you got to have a >> You want to invest in my company?
>> That would be stupid.
>> You got to get on the peptides because I'm looking skinny as out here.
>> It's recording.
>> We're going. You good?
>> I'm good. Yeah.
>> Phenomenal.
>> Was in Bitcoin before you guys. 2013.
>> No. Oh my god.
>> Yes. That's my first transaction.
Somebody sent me three Bitcoin.
>> Why you like what happened? You're buying some some drugs in the dark.
>> No, no. It's my brother-in-law is big in crypto. You just sent me this three bitcoins. What do I do with this? Is this real money? What are you joking?
>> Yeah.
>> Are you taking drugs? What is this?
>> Yeah. Crazy.
>> So, I converted it by the way to real money.
>> When I was looking at you like the the the background, I was like, look at it like >> in Singapore, we had a studio that had this exact like and I do like 4 hours of podcast a day. It's like 40s.
>> Well, you did super well, man. We talked to all kinds of founders. Like, some are terrible, some are amazing, but you you like killed it. Honestly, >> in the beginning, you were like you had like your question you wrote down, but then after a while you were like because it was interesting to you as well. And that's always cool when you when you having a conversation, not just someone's reading questions.
>> These are really to like have something.
>> You need to have something in the beginning, right? Exactly. Really good.
Like the guy asked such nice questions and the studio was nice. It was great.
Now I'm really curious. The next guy, we always do Twitter space with him. So I have like spoken to him like four or five times already. Ex posted about us.
>> He retweeted for the first time actually.
>> Yeah. He doesn't care.
>> Who me? I look at the view. I've heard this pitch like 10 times today. I've heard it so many times.
>> Fair enough.
>> Yeah. Are they posting about it today?
>> Yeah. Let's go. Polish. Oh yeah. I'm ready, baby. Let's go.
>> Yeah. Sorry. I was >> You're already checking out the houses you're going to buy off this.
>> Oh, look. There it is. There it is.
>> This banner, man.
>> The banner. I just saw it.
>> We should have done that. That's a great idea.
>> We did this stuff 20 years ago, right?
Like plane and the banner. But now like people taking pictures of it and uploading it to social media. So now everyone sees it. Way more powerful now than it used to be. What do you think?
How much would it cost?
>> 10.
>> 10K.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. A common friend introduced us. You did marketing advisory for for us helped us through the launch and we just never stopped working together.
>> Yes. I've just enjoyed working with you and the vibes of >> the team have been so good.
>> Of course.
>> And it's a point where you want to work with people you enjoy. So >> 100%.
>> Just seems to be getting stronger and stronger. So >> yeah, exactly. It became mega natural.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Come on. Say more good things about me, bro.
>> Yeah. Awesome, man.
>> That's it. Awesome, >> man. Come on, >> bro. Bro, I'm getting I'm getting weaker because I've been doing all this fatty pancakes and everything.
>> But you're ordering that [ __ ] >> Yeah, I know.
>> The food in the US. What's your take on it?
>> I like it.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. But >> hamburgers, pancakes.
>> You think it's healthy?
>> Hell no. But that's why it's good.
>> They got their mind.
>> Yeah. They get brainwashed.
>> For the first time, uh, chicken >> chicken and waffles for the first time.
>> Isn't it good?
>> I love it. I love it.
>> Yeah. Ah, yeah. There you go.
>> But I've had it before.
>> No, it felt wrong.
>> I took a bite. I felt the diabetes like creeping up. I was like, you can taste the quality is not that good. Like a lot of stuff that you eat here is considered poison. The US is like in chemistry lab.
We're pretty late.
>> How late are we?
>> 40 minutes late.
>> Oh, he said it's okay.
>> Break my bed now. See you.
>> How are you doing today?
>> Cooked. The jet lag. Manny basically was like, "Who wants to do it?" Jack was like, "Well, he's my homie. I got to do it." Like, >> and Manny as well. Manny is awesome.
>> Yeah, Manny is great. She's awesome.
>> She's like one of the best operators, I think, in the whole crypto.
>> Yeah. Yeah. She's super professional.
Hey, man.
>> Hey, nice to meet you.
>> Nice to meet you. How are you?
>> Doing good. How are you?
>> Videographer Goats.
>> It's 88. What What does this mean? 88°.
>> Yeah, but how much is that in Celsius?
>> I can't do the math, dude.
>> Whoever invented that stuff.
>> So stupid. It's so dumb. Okay. Water freezes at zero. It boils at 100. Like it's like at 32. Like >> Yeah. What does that mean?
>> Yeah. Yeah. Like, can I get you anything? Coffee. Water.
>> A coffee would be awesome.
>> Should I have a coffee?
>> Of course you can, dude.
>> Thank you, man.
>> Videographer. Go. Anyone who sees this, if you think I ignore the videographers, I don't. I promise. Like the videographers are the >> Yeah, he shows love.
>> Man, I saw this at the dinner. This is such a cool thing. like what what's the lore behind the >> So, Pokémon Red was I think the first video game I got on console. I lost it and then I found it again. I still have the original box card. It's actually worth quite a bit now. But it's just like nostalgia to me, you know? It's like and I collected the cards, but it all started in the game.
>> How old are you?
>> I'm 34.
>> Okay. I'm 26.
>> Yeah. Yeah. I'm basically a decade older than you. I could be your dad.
>> Not quite. Not quite. Maybe in the UK. I don't know how you guys are doing with the hair.
>> So, it's like full graphics in the background. That was ECC. So, we've got like a little the like >> mega nice. Like, it's really well edited.
>> So, if you want to put on your websites and stuff like this is the podcast you use.
>> Cool, man. You're killing it.
>> Thank you, man. Yeah, that's it. That's >> You're going to change how people are going to do this type of stuff.
>> Yeah, I think so. It's called the pyramid. So, it's not my idea. Gary Vee, a couple of the big creators, they call it the content pyramid. And it's like, how do you turn one form of content into as many? So, it's like podcast, clips, >> thumbnail, carousels, images, >> and then written post, articles.
>> I'm so happy you're doing this because like I was always like stressing myself like I need to >> the content because obviously it's so important, right?
>> It is. So, I'm taking that off.
>> That's so cool. Yeah. Perfect. We were like unboxing Pokémon cards.
Yeah. So, I've had a couple of TCG shows on.
>> Next time I'll bring you some cards.
We'll do an opening.
>> Yeah, dude. Always. Yeah, that was sick.
I love having double videographers around.
>> It's good. Like, we had such a cool day today. I told you in the beginning like we were running around meeting the GSR guy, podcast one, podcast two. Now we're going to some other side event. Can't wait to see the content.
>> As much BTS as possible with yogurt.
Yeah. Take him everywhere with me.
That's what I do with Vlad.
>> He came to Hong Kong with me, France with me.
>> Good. Can we get you to fly cross country?
>> Hell yeah.
>> Hell yeah.
>> Good.
>> Cool. Well, I'll let you go. I'm guessing you've got like 400 other places to be.
>> So much. Thank you so much.
>> Thank you. Thank you, man.
>> Have a nice day.
>> Thank you. Have a nice day.
>> Pleasure.
>> It's like an institutional finance event here. Bunch of people here again. So, we're just doing some networking. I have to meet one guy. Networking. Finding that one guy, Lewis. That's our mission.
>> I don't know.
>> I just don't take myself too serious, bro.
>> I just found Louis.
>> Yo, what's up?
>> Oh, you know, you guys know each other.
>> Do you know him?
>> I just met him today.
>> Oh, really? Like I just met him? Yeah, he said >> like recording a vlog and it's like, okay, we here. We need to meet Louis.
Where's Louis? You found him before I did.
>> That's so funny. How are you?
>> Good. Good. This is uh John.
>> Hey, what's up? You know Leon?
>> Leon is my phone number.
Yeah.
>> Yeah, I know Leon. We should take a picture and send it to Leon.
>> Yeah, totally.
>> I get along with quite well because he's German. I speak German and it's like the little >> We've worked together for a while now and I've still never met him in person.
I've been bootstrapping this for since December. So >> really awesome, man. Yeah, we should.
>> Yeah, >> are you the guy that brought the connections for the Brazilian team?
You're the guy. I told this to so many people your idea. I was like it's so smart.
>> No joke. I think now because of you and because of me telling them I think there's like two or three guys looking for kind of like people who are financing farmers in Thailand, Vietnam.
>> Yeah, totally.
>> Because the idea is smart genius.
>> Yeah, cuz I mean like not like tokenizing the grains but just financing everything like working with the financers. They're already sophisticated money people.
>> How much do they already have now? Just a quarter million. Went live like two weeks ago. But we have like two million coming in this month and then hopefully should get to 10 million by June.
>> The world is so small.
>> It is. That's crazy that you know Leon.
>> We're doing a vlog.
>> All right.
>> Say hi to the camera.
>> Hey. Hey. How's it going?
>> I know this guy since like 10 years.
We've been doing our little business like some side hustle. We were like 18.
We didn't know that he was going to work. He works in crypto. And I met him like last year again. I've like not talked to him for like six, seven years.
>> Yeah. And we're hustling again back together, right? You know, I'm not very into US as a >> neither. I'm sorry, but >> Yeah, exactly. But I like my army, right?
>> It's nice.
>> Gives more like a Dominican Republic vibe.
>> Yeah, it's more chill.
>> So, what are you drinking?
>> I don't know. Just some spicy margarita or whatever.
>> Bro, I got yesterday.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah, bro.
>> Where did you go? First the cir event and there was open bar. Then I went to the beatard event and it was called open bar zero piece. So we like to see those right.
>> He's the same age like me but he's like a father of three. He's a proper Eastern European guy like cooking kids you know.
>> Oh pleasure as always.
>> So that was it for today. This is the first time we actually brought you guys to a behind the scenes at a conference.
Couldn't have been a better day to do that. We wanted to try this format out.
If you like this kind of content, leave it in the comment section below. Let us know. Like, share. Thank you so much.
See you in the next one. Bye-bye.
All right. So, we are here at the dinner location. We invited a couple close people, the team to sit down, have a very relaxed ambiance here, just eat, talk, exchange ideas and yeah, that's what's going to happen now.
>> I think this is pretty good, you know, kind of chill people around, just alone folks from Canton. I got exciting start of the week. Oh, it's amazing. Great food, great coffee, good friends.
Let's go.
