The video attempts to dignify standard fan commentary with academic labels, yet it remains a surface-level recap of popular fiction. It prioritizes communal enthusiasm over any rigorous literary analysis.

BOOK CLUB: THRONE OF GLASS CH 10-20Added:
Previously, on Relatable's Book Club, I reckon here's my throw in the dark.
She is going to become really close to Kale, and Kale doesn't actually like the king because the king forced him into the Royal Guard and did something to his family, and that's why he became the leader of the Royal Guard when he was cuz he's so young. He's only 20.
>> Uh-huh.
>> And those two are going to try and come to a plan to kill the king, but they can't and instead of doing that, they're going to save some people from the salt mines.
>> Welcome to Relatable's Buddies Book Club, where we will embark on a journey reading some of the finest pieces of literature you've ever laid eyes or ears if that's your preferred way to consume a book on.
>> no, no, no, no, no, no.
>> Throne of Glass chapters 10 through 220.
Let's go. Jake, I'd like to say that the book is turning up, which it's not, but it's also not turning up if that makes sense.
>> Yeah, I I Oh, it sucks having read it.
>> I I I want to use the word edging.
>> Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
>> I feel like I'm being just edged chapter on chapter on chapter on chapter on chapter on chapter on chapter on chapter on chapter on chapter. It's kind of like um if you were at the movie theater and someone said through the whole movie you have to eat one piece of popcorn at a time cuz you know how you start eating one piece and then you start shoveling it? Like we haven't had any shoveling at this point of the book yet.
>> I thought you were going to say something completely different then I >> Yeah, no, no, no. I'm not sexual like you, you [ __ ] nasty [laughter] [ __ ] >> How do you know How do you know that's what I was thinking?
>> Cuz you were talking about edging.
>> Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then you went to the movies.
>> Yeah, I mean, I was in cinema six, but like I was just eating popcorn, [laughter] man.
>> Yeah, I thought you were going to say you can get freaky and then like the the what do they call the usher comes up with a torch and then like you're like, "What the hell?"
>> Have you ever Have you ever >> No, I have not, Jake.
>> gone to a movie theater for a date or anything? Um uh I wouldn't classify as a date. I'd like call it a hangout cuz you're not talking. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Um I remember Yeah, I remember for some reason it's like our school or or or our year group went through a phase where they thought like the movies was the place to do [ __ ] Mhm, I feel like that's a natural like young person's progression though because you can't go to your parents' house, obviously, and you don't have your license.
>> No. And um Oh, this is [ __ ] the most >> [laughter] >> I remember I think this might have been the first time that I ever touched a boob.
>> [laughter] >> Was that at the movie theater with my >> with my girlfriend at the time.
>> You're hearing it first here on Book Love. This is what you get.
>> Yeah, [laughter] [ __ ] >> [gasps] >> Yeah, it was like my first girlfriend and we went to the movies and I think it was the first time I got to feel a boob.
>> To be fair, fitting for this book because I feel like that's all that is going to happen in it.
>> Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, not even that, mate. Not even that.
>> [laughter] >> Um and then I wanted to touch on pronunciations, Jake.
>> Yeah, yeah, yeah. How you going?
>> Uh we aligned with almost all of them except for I was saying Cahol.
>> Yeah, yeah, yeah. That was That's what the audiobook was saying, right?
>> Yeah, [clears throat] you were saying Cahol.
>> Yeah, I was saying Cahol.
>> So, we've got the sound. Play it.
Oh, is this um the audiobook?
>> Yeah, this is the audiobook. What do you think would be right?
>> Yeah, but like how much does Sarah J.
Maas have to do with that because all that I'm basing it off is the baddies who I trust more than a [ __ ] audiobook audio.
>> [laughter] >> Surely someone's approved it, but I feel like we're both wrong. It's kind of in the middle, don't you reckon?
>> Cahol stood with Dorian in the >> Okay, Cahol.
>> Yeah, it's like Cahol.
>> No, K.O. Not >> You're saying K.O.
>> K.O.
>> I feel like it's in the middle.
>> No, it's She's She's literally just saying kale, but instead of kale, it's K.O. She's just pronouncing it like the c h is a k and she's literally sounding it out.
>> Yeah, I guess. I guess.
>> I would say Whoever read that, who got paid for it? She shouldn't be paid [ __ ] for that.
>> This one's not great, hey? It's also like challenging to listen to because it's one voice actor and she plays all the characters.
So, when there's like Doren or K.O. and stuff, it's still a woman's voice and then they're like kind of like having banter back and forth and then you're like, yeah, wait a second. I need to I need to get into like picturing what Doren looks like, but then it's still the same voice putting on a voice. So, it's kind of weird.
>> Yeah, reading A Court of Thorns and Roses first series with having and also having every single A Court of Thorns and Roses book um dramatized audio was like a bad idea.
>> I know.
>> Cuz like I've I when I read the series Red Rising, cuz it's like kind of in-depth and long, I would sometimes if I was cleaning my house, I would listen to it while I was cleaning the house.
>> Yeah.
>> And they had a few of the books fully dramatized audio and they were hectic.
But then I got up to about like the the fourth book and it was just one it was one guy reading and so he was like his normal voice was the main character's voice.
>> Mhm.
>> But then he would put on a different voice for >> Yeah, it's so annoying. It's jarring even.
>> And they would have whole chapters of just either the main character and then other characters. Like they did that type it was multi POV.
>> Yeah.
>> And um so when he would do a woman's voice, it was the most jarring thing.
>> Yeah, the same with the male voices, hey?
>> Yeah, I was like, [ __ ] me. Like, how come they haven't finished this series in the dramatized audio? Like, don't post this [ __ ] Like, >> [laughter] >> surely surely there's a budget to have more than one voice actor, too. Even if it's not dramatized without the sounds.
Just like talk with each other. That's what I'm thinking, too. Like, these series, bro, they rake in money.
>> Was this cuz this is old. When did this come out?
>> Oh, yeah, fair while ago, I think.
>> Like, was it massive when it first came out or did Sarah J. Maas's like name become massive after ACOTAR?
>> It's [snorts] a good question, actually.
Cuz I swear you see every single book has number one New York Times best-selling author. I swear if you're an author, you just automatically become that.
>> I was just like I was just [laughter] going to say like, how hard is it to be like the New York Times best-selling author?
How many books do you need to sell in New York to be a New York Times best-selling author?
>> It must be They just put them on rotation in the bookshop. They all get like 50 each and then they sell out.
Yeah, New York Times best-selling author.
>> And like, does that sell more books?
Like and it's like, are we judging that based off of something else? You know what I mean? Like, I don't feel like I I don't reckon I look at New York Times best-selling author and think like, oh my god, like that's the best. Like, it's like I would say if if a movie got like a 99 on Rotten Tomatoes, I would be like, that must be a good movie. But if I see a New York Times best-selling author, I don't think, wow, that must be a good author.
>> I feel that's funny. I actually agree with you, too. In a sense, books are almost the same as podcasts. Like, the only way I feel like you'll take a recommendation is if a friend or someone you like trust tells you that it's good.
>> Yeah.
>> So, baddies, if you If you're enjoy [laughter] If you're enjoying this podcast, help us out and tell a friend to tell a friend that The Book Club is back with Throne of Glass.
And to reiterate, um this is the second of I think it's five parts, but all of them are available on Patreon right now for $8.99 a month. Um and you don't have to wait week on week on week and you can just go binge all of them.
>> Why would you not want to do that?
>> We're recapping every chapter, thoughts and theories [music and singing] to every plot twist, we'll break it down for you.
>> Yeah.
All right. So, we finished off last one, like last recap, we finished off with I believe Celaena and all the other competitors were brought forth to the king, correct?
>> Yeah, correct.
>> So, now he's like, "You [ __ ] have all been chosen to be my my champion." I think he calls them my champion.
>> Yeah. One champion to rule >> "You're going to do all my dirty deeds, all right?
If you win, you work for me and you earn your freedom. After your time is up, you you're free to go. And I'm going to pay you a [ __ ] ton, by the way."
>> Yeah, how good?
>> is like.
And Celaena is like Celaena is like, "Fuck, do I even want to win this thing?
Like, do I even want to work for this guy?" And I was thinking, that's a valid question, but then she's like, "No, if I one more day in that salt mine and I'm [ __ ] necking myself." That's what she's like, "Nah."
>> One thing I'm struggling with, do you reckon Celaena doesn't really have the vibe of an assassin?
>> [snorts] >> Well, one thing I say So, one thing I would say I noticed is that it's like I was just trying to really convince myself, you know, it's fantasy, it's fantasy, it's fantasy, because like she is a very beautiful woman. Like, she's she's apparently stunning.
>> Damn.
>> And she got picked up or like, you know, this guy, the king of assassins, [ __ ] comes around. His name's Arobynn or some [ __ ] Come He finds her, like, her parents are gone, skids or something, finds her, brings her in and is like, "Going to train you to be an assassin."
She's only like 18 or 19 now. She got found when she was like 9 or 11 or around that age. And within that amount of time, she's literally become the whole entire country's best assassin.
And she's like feared by everyone. And she's just like this very beautiful like they they almost like explain her as a bit fragile but then but then she's not. And you know, I I just think like this whole book they Um I I what what I was thinking at least was so the book we're going to read third is going to explain a lot to us.
>> Okay.
>> Because I believe it's a it's a book of short stories of the things she's done as an assassin.
>> Okay. Okay. Which Yeah, which might help with like the way I'm picturing her because I'm getting like I know I'm only what 20 chapters in empath vibes and I'm not getting like cutthroat killer Yeah.
Most notorious assassin ever.
>> [laughter] >> Like they Yeah, like apparently she used to go around just like [ __ ] slitting necks and [ __ ] like no problem or like from the top of a roof like a mile away like arrow through someone's head like it's not something I can picture her doing either. Like she cares too much.
>> But um I actually that's a good point like I'm keen to see like what she's done and we find out a little bit about her like childhood within these chapters in a sense of like >> Yeah.
>> Um what was it that guy picked her up and then he did he didn't say after training her for 9 years that he had like a debt to repay to her or whatever.
>> [laughter] >> So first okay so basically we go from his like all right you guys will be my champion. He's like I'm actually [ __ ] off, right? Then the king goes I'm actually leaving. Like I'll be back in like I'll be back for the finale but um all mate Brullo something Thedus Brullo or something like that who's my weapons master and top top army captain like he's going to run the show and he's going to judge you. Every week there'll be a competition and you get to train in between.
So they're like okay, cool.
And so each person sponsored Selena who is now known as Lillian Sorrengail or something like that.
>> Sorrengail?
>> Is it Sorangael? That's violet.
>> [laughter] >> That's violet.
Lillian [ __ ] Gal >> Galdona Galdona, yeah.
>> Yeah, something like that.
So she's like that's what everyone knows her as cuz apparently if they know that Adarlan's Adarlan's assassin is there, then they're just going to be like no no no, we're out like we're going to kill ourselves. Like that's how scary she is.
>> [laughter] >> Any who, so all of the king's nearest and dearest like high up higher ups have sponsored someone.
Duke Barrington, he's sponsored Cain the big dog.
>> Yeah.
>> And then we had learned about like there's there's 13 others. There's I know there's like 21 at the beginning or some [ __ ] There's so many.
>> No, there's 13. I'll tell you what this is funny. This might mean something to some English baddies. So do you know who Harry Kane is?
>> Yeah.
>> Tottenham ex-Tottenham striker and he's I think he's part of like Bayern Munich.
I'm picturing his face as like a warrior.
>> [laughter] >> See, I didn't picture that.
>> Whenever I see whenever I see Kane I >> That's so apparently apparently he's massive. He's a brick wall like >> Yeah, which what Harry Kane was up top number nine.
>> That's right.
And so now So Celaena is sponsored by Dorian and then but Dorian has chosen like Kale or Kale whatever to train Celaena.
>> Yeah.
>> So now it's about the training and so her first day of training she's like oh my god, I'm chopped hey like one year at Endovier and this I can't do [ __ ] all.
And Kale's like toying with her a bit.
He kind of does say to her like you're good with a sword but like you're also just you're not great anymore or whatever.
>> And she she didn't expect Kale to be so good.
>> Yeah, Kale's a beast apparently.
>> Yeah, apparently he's like equivalent almost as good as her when he's like when she's fully trained she's better but right now he's like got it on her.
>> Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
She always will also get into interactions with people and be like could split his like like could break his neck right now, could kill him right now, but I won't do it, but I won't.
>> But [laughter] I won't. But I won't do it, yes.
>> Um Okay, and then we go in a little bit.
And then I think we do learn about um so like Kayle and and and Selena, they kind of become like mates.
Because they're close all the time.
They're just like hanging out.
>> We're getting that vibe, hey. And like Dorian's like we find out he's like best mates with Kayle, but he's like, "Watch out, she knows what she's doing." He's like, "You don't think I can look after myself, bitch?"
>> Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Kayle's Kayle's falling for this girl.
>> 100% >> And she mentions Kayle is ugly but handsome in a weird way. So like he's just ugly, but I can't >> What are you picturing for Kayle?
>> Um for Kayle Oh, I have like a picture in my I picture Kayle, he's a relatively tall white guy with >> Yeah.
>> dark hair bit of stubble at all times, right?
But like he's the type he's like Like he's like I'm picturing like what you would say if you were just like he's like a man. Like I'm picturing like a man. Does that make any sense?
>> Do you remember and yeah, 100% I'm similar. Long black hair?
>> I was thinking more like my length.
>> Ah, I was picturing kind of in The Hobbit, the second one, the guy who kills the dragon, whatever his name is.
>> The guy who kills the dragon?
>> With the arrow. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
>> That whatever his name was, that vibe for Kayle. Cuz he's like he's like cool, kind of handsome, but then he's just like a burly man. He's just sexy.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah, that vibe.
>> So, I'm getting that. And you know, it's giving Jon Snow vibes for >> Yes, yes, yes, yes.
>> Giving Jon Snow vibes.
>> Yeah, very much so Jon Snow vibes.
>> Is Dorian Is Dorian black?
I don't know. I could have sworn at one point it said Dorian had like dark brown skin. I don't And so base And so if I'm wrong, then I'm wigging out cuz I've been picturing Dorian as like [ __ ] Michael B. Jordan this whole time.
>> [laughter] >> Well, he is every every single bloody person in the land kind of because of his status, but also cuz he's handsome as.
>> Apparently he's sexy.
>> Want to want to be in his pants and be his wife.
>> Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Apparently sexy.
Also And Dorian, he um we find out he's he was broken-hearted at one point. And this motherfucker's like 19 or some [ __ ] He's been full broken-hearted before.
>> Yeah, well it's like it's like a weird thing to conceptualize cuz to me it's giving like the 1800s, but then it's also for some reason giving like future-s-ishes as well.
Caught in behind caught between my mind of what it is. Still conceptualizing it a bit.
>> It like annoys me how they talk about having toilets and [ __ ] And I'm thinking like, but you're in a castle.
Like, what are you talking about?
>> Yeah, glass castle. But I think the glass castle is like built by fae.
That's what I thought.
>> yeah, yeah, yeah. It's got to be magic.
>> That's why it makes sense.
>> Yeah, yeah, yeah. Has to be magic.
That I will say doesn't get confirmed, but it gets more solidified at the end.
>> That's what I thought straight up, hey.
And well, she she also doesn't like it.
You reckon she doesn't like it because it's not safe or because something to do with like she's definitely got something to do with magic, Celaena.
>> She talks about being like descendant of magic.
>> But you reckon that's why she didn't Well, you know, but why she didn't like the glass house? Like she honestly sees >> Well, you know how she You know how she just talks about how she's just like, "Why would you go in something that could break?"
>> Yeah.
>> It just always stays as that. She's like, "I just hate being in something that can break."
>> Yeah, but she doesn't understand the magic.
>> Yeah, she just like she just like she doesn't sense the magic in there or anything like that. She just like hates the fact that glass can break. And I was like, "That's actually valid."
>> [laughter] >> Yeah.
>> Any who, okay, first test. Oh, what do we Yeah, first test is like a archery test. I told you the tests are like kind of boring, bro.
>> Yeah, they're like boring.
>> she does archery, she passes, cool.
They do some running and the training.
And then Brullo, say this Brullo is like, "If you come last, you're getting you're going home." Like, the only way they thought they could go home is by not is by coming last in a test, but they also get sent home for other reasons.
>> Yeah.
>> Um someone in one of the tests I think it's the archery test.
One of the guys that's going to be one of the champions he tries to dip.
And like four steps in, he just gets arrows like through the neck, through the back and [ __ ] And so now everyone's like, "Well, [ __ ] I'm not going to try and run. Like that's crazy." And then Celaena she at one point is going she's kind of like, in my opinion, starts to just like enjoy living in the stone part of the castle.
>> Mhm.
>> And so like she's enjoying the training, she enjoys when Chaol's there, she likes it when Dorian comes to see her. And like Chaol and Dorian like the thing I find the craziest is that Chaol will straight up just like come look at her in the middle of the night or in the in the morning just like without knocking just walks in and just wakes her up and say, "Get up."
>> Yeah, it's a bit weird, eh?
>> Yeah. It's giving stalker S vibes, but then also like protection, but then also cuz there's I guess there's a little bit of a debate I'm finding at the moment.
Are they protecting Celaena or is like from escaping or from her killing people?
>> Yeah, I [snorts] think I think they don't want her to kill anyone. Like they do think she's a beast, and she is.
>> Yeah, which she is.
>> And Dorian, he just like pops in as well all the time. It's sus.
But he he he pops in for for just I wanted to see her. He's in He's [ __ ] falling in love.
>> Well, she's beautiful. What what what what can you say? But I think that was pretty much all the chapters, wasn't it?
>> Uh pretty much. Did we meet like Princess Nehemia?
>> Yeah, we met her and then they Oh, she speaks Elwyn. She's from Elwae. What's the And then she and and Celaena can speak the language and no no one else can, really.
>> Yeah, so like Princess Elwae's here because her father her kingdom has just kind of been overtaken by Adarlan. And um and her father sends her to the castle to learn quote unquote learn the ways of the Adarlan, but no one else speaks Elvish, but Celaena speaks fluent Elvish, so they become friendly.
Um, she quite likes the princess. And then we also learn that Celaena used to have a lover named Sam.
>> Yes. Oh, yeah, we did. And she's been broken-hearted, too. [ __ ] everyone's finding young love in this book, hey?
Because basically the reason Celaena got caught >> back in the day, like a year and a bit ago, and she was there for a year was like someone had to rat her out.
>> Mhm.
>> And it wouldn't have been Sam, but when she got ratted out, Sam got caught in the fold, and he got killed.
Yeah, poor Celaena. And she thinks that another another assassin ratted her out.
>> Ooh, there's a bit of a bread crumbing as well. Oh, and yeah, ended on Was it It was Dorian was having a bit of a play fight with the princess.
>> Mhm.
>> That's where the chapter ended.
>> Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, Celaena's training with the princess, and Dorian comes in and is like, "Hey." And Celaena goes, "Hey, you have a crack." And he's like, "No, no, no, no, no, no, no." And then the princess is like, "How dare you? I'm asking you to spar me." And he's like, "Mhm, okay." And then Chaol comes in and he's like, "You [ __ ] [ __ ] What are you doing, man?"
>> [laughter] >> Uh, but that's yeah, that's about it.
That's that's that's yeah. Chapter Yeah, I might have missed some things, but yeah.
>> Thoughts and feelings predictions, too.
Falling for fictional [music] men like we always do.
Kicking our feet and screaming again.
[music] This is the Relatables Book Club.
Let the throwing of darts begin.
>> Okay, our thoughts and feelings, Audio.
How are you feeling at this point?
>> Although, like, arguably nothing has happened, I'm actually like really, really enjoying it.
>> It's I felt the same. I was kind of like I I'm enjoying this book, but it's also kind of boring. So, I don't know if I was enjoying it just because everyone says it's super, super good, and I'm like, I'm just going to [ __ ] cop it.
>> Yeah, but they've said that about other things too and they've been terrible.
Whereas this is like on I can feel that like I'm reading for a purpose.
>> Mhm.
>> Like um what was uh Frost and Starlight a guitar is kind of similar but that one was boring. Whereas this for some reason I'm really really engaged.
>> Yeah, that's good.
>> And I don't know why but thoughts and feelings yeah, I'm going to say like a solid eight out of 10 A. Yeah, dang. I look forward to it and then also I put something in the um baddies club on Instagram a couple days ago just saying like um little teaser about Throne of Glass and that many people were saying like it just gets better book on book on book on book. And like you said I think just cuz we're reading for a purpose like I think I'm preempting that it's going to be good.
>> Yeah, I agree. I think that um it's going to get pretty sick. Also, I have to say something cuz I and it's a decision that I've made and I'm my decision won't be swayed.
>> Won't be or will be?
>> Won't be.
>> This is unlike you. [ __ ] >> So, um I was voice messaging with a baddie. She was I think it was either on related to Instagram or my Instagram but any who it was like that when I first started reading Throne of Glass, right?
>> Mhm. Yeah.
>> And they were giving me pointers of when to read Assassin's Blade.
And so I said thank you thank you and then she goes also book I so I think there's eight books.
She said book six and seven is the two books that can be tandem read.
>> Oh.
>> And she said that she didn't tandem read them, right?
And she regrets it >> Uh-huh.
>> because book six is phenomenal apparently, right? Like full book six follows these characters that like uh you're so so engaged with and it's just like the best story. And then book seven is happening at the exact same time but but in a different part of the world as book six. But it's a bit boring. Like the characters are all right, they're not your favorite. Like the story is it's not as good. And book six ends on like the biggest [ __ ] cliffhanger.
So, the way you read it so basically what I'm trying to say is I'm tandem reading that [ __ ] okay? Because what you apparently it's like you get through it a lot better and you enjoy it a lot more.
Because you read it and then like the boring bits get made up by get made up in sorry, the boring book seven gets made up for by the sickness of book six.
Book six ends on a cliffhanger and only gets answered at the start of the very last book. So, if you read book six first, you have to go through all of book seven and be like, "Oh, this is a grind." And then get to books eight.
>> I get you. I get you. I get you. Okay.
>> So, it's got to yeah.
>> I'm happy to do that.
>> Okay, [ __ ] oath.
>> You could >> [laughter] >> You could have phrased it as "Ollie, do you want to tandem read?"
>> No, because I remember you and I had a conversation once where once where we were like, "Fuck tandem reading. Not happening. Like that sounds so confusing." But then this baddie convinced me.
>> Oh, yeah. That makes sense to me.
Especially like if you tell me one book's boring and if together they're the best thing ever, then I'm down.
>> Yeah, that's true cuz >> Ollie.
>> Um Iron Flame, grind and a half.
>> Oh, yeah. [ __ ] I gave up. Um all righty. So, finish on I kind of like this dynamic a little bit too the predictions on my side because I I I say something and you can't give anything away.
>> Well, oh yeah, mate. I'll read the second book right now.
>> [laughter] >> Cuz I'm waiting.
>> I shouldn't have said anything. Yeah, mate. I'm [ __ ] grinding to be fair.
Um on my side. All right. So, predictions predictions predictions. So, >> [sighs] >> Ah, [gasps] Celaena is going to fall in love with Chaol, but then they got to hide it from everyone because Dorian is his Chaol's best friend and then the king can't find out. Blah blah blah blah blah. And Celaena is actually a big softy. I reckon she's like she only kills because she has to not cuz she wants to.
>> Okay.
Um and then so can you tell me or is it not a bad thing is it a bad thing to say if I ask if magic and fay plays a big part in the book? Is that a giveaway?
>> Depends. Um >> [sighs] >> would it be a giveaway? I don't think it's a giveaway if so it's like a giveaway but not a big giveaway if I say there's a You know what I'm saying?
>> So I think that So they think magic is extinct well it's illegal do they think it's extinct?
>> So I don't think people think it's fully gone but they it's like been very it's been illegal for for like I think a good 15 nearly 20 years.
>> Okay or yeah well I reckon Selena will be like the beacon of hope for bringing back magic.
>> Ooh.
>> And like she discovers it somehow and then that's also why she's a weapon.
She's got like a reason for like not taking anything away from her but why she's so like dialed in as well other than just training. Why she's such a good assassin like It's almost it comes naturally to her. Because you see yeah she seems like such a normal girl but then she also is a mass murderer and I feel like that's got something to do with being fay.
>> [laughter] >> She's not a murderer she used to do it for work mate.
Yeah I suppose that's I suppose that's the justification. But that's my predictions and oh is there is there anything I think all the challenges are going to be like pretty boring. Is there any cool ones?
>> Oh let me think. Honestly like not really. Like hate to hate to break it to you.
>> That's all right and I reckon I was going to say Cain's got to die.
But I don't think it's going to be against like Cain and her in the finals for sure, cuz isn't it that the last two battle to the death and then the winner >> So the final four >> four >> They battle.
>> So like the final four battle.
>> Kayin vs. Selena and then like something to do with like Kayl will be like Selena's about to die and then Kayl will like come in and help or something and then she'll take over.
>> Oh, no, but also but also Sarah J. Maas writing um writing style is never which I like never rely rely on a man.
>> Ooh.
Wait. Good point.
>> Whereas which we found out in ACOTAR like women are powerful and they're um gift to the world and she writes that in such a powerful way, I think. So I'd take that back. It's all going to be Selena. Something to do with her. And she'll save Kayl. There we go.
>> [laughter] >> Okay. Okay. Okay, one thing I wanted to say before we leave is so I reckon like there's a good chance that we'll be nearly done Throne of Glass when ACOTAR 6 comes out.
>> Yeah.
>> Right?
So you know how everyone's saying like you need to read all of Sarah J. Maas to to to to understand ACOTAR 6 and 7.
>> Mhm.
>> Like I I don't fully believe that. Like I don't think we have to read Crescent City and stuff like that, but I am going to read Crescent City cuz I assume you probably won't read it at all.
Question.
Should I read what cuz I'll read Crescent City in my own time.
>> Yeah.
>> If I I don't want to like say I'm going to do this, but would the baddies like it if I sit down just like on my own and talk about Crescent City books. You know, I could read 20 chapters one afternoon or I could read five and I like just like kind of record when I feel like recording and say where I'm up to and just post them only on Patreon.
>> I was going to say a way to get you to do a great idea is if you make money from it.
>> Ooh.
>> [laughter] >> And and in inherently I make money from it. So yes, that is a brilliant idea, Jake. [laughter] >> So I think I might do that with Crescent City. I'm nearly done Dagger Mouth.
Dagger Mouth's been a grind, but it's a good book.
>> Yeah, yeah, okay. Yeah, no, I reckon that's a great idea. And then just do it in like the essence of when you feel like you need to talk about it.
>> Mhm. Um Patreon, that's a great Patreon exclusive. So, next week, guys, chapters 20 through to 30. But to reiterate, Patreon, they're all there, ready to go.
>> Let's go.
>> And another reason to go on Patreon is to see Jake talk for it could be 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 50 minutes.
>> Sit me down on my own, it might be 2 hours and I >> Why don't you just read the book on the We were saying like the audio book is terrible. Why don't you just read the whole book on there and we'll post it?
>> Why not?
>> [laughter] >> All right, bads. We love you.
>> Stay bad.
>> [music]
