Corporate monopolies have realized what's happening. They see the 180 billion, they're building smaller express formats on our doorstep. At the same time, highly organized foreign syndicates have optimized the wholesale and supply chain network, completely outcompeting the traditional independent local shopkeeper who built these neighborhoods. The local entrepreneur, the mama who paid for her children's university fees by selling vegetables on the corner, the uncle who ran the local butchery is being systematically squeezed out.
