This video addresses key Islamic concepts including the impermissibility of announcing deaths on mosque loudspeakers, the spiritual significance of abandoning obligatory prayers as a sign of weakening faith, and the importance of maintaining religious discipline through consistent practice. Sheikh Assim Al Hakeem explains that fard prayers form the core of Islam, surrounded by voluntary prayers like rawatib (12 rak'ahs), al-duha, night prayer, and al-witr, creating a protective spiritual defense. He also discusses why Muslim countries may not fight for Palestine, emphasizing that national decisions involve complex interlinked factors beyond individual comprehension, and that each person should fulfill their religious obligations according to their capability.

>> A man from India.
>> As-salamu alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh, Sheikh.
>> Wa alaykumu s-salam warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
>> So, Sheikh, I heard that it is haram to announce a person's death in the mosque.
If so, then how should we announce it?
Usually, we announce the death, the person's name and funeral timings on the microphone and out to the whole vicinity twice in all and almost all of my street too.
>> is not permissible to announce the death of a deceased on microphones or on minbars announcing it as if something had happened in Islam like that.
You announce it through telling your neighbors and your neighbors tell their neighbors and everybody knows that so-and-so has died. But to announce it on the microphone, oh, the so-and-so has died, or some people say after Isha prayer, the Imam gets a list and so-and-so has died, so-and-so is just born, and what is this? I mean, the 9:00 news? No, this is not permissible. Sam from Canada.

>> Sheikh, we know there's a difference of view whether abandoning salah is kufr or not, but how do we advise the the people who don't pray? Sometimes they say, you know, Shaitan worshiped Allah for thousands of years, he's going to hell anyways, right? So, what's the point of my prayer? It's like, you know, or they say, I don't want to pray because when I see how the Muslims pray and then they do something else, it's like I don't like to pray anymore because of what I see in the Muslim people. Whatever it is, whatever their reason, but how do we advise them and get them to to even start?
>> No, such people, akhi, don't even advise them. You don't even come close to them.
You just run. These are full-fledged hypocrites.
These people are full-fledged hypocrites who have deep resentment to Islam, to the Quran, to the Sunnah.
Someone who says, "Satan have worshiped Allah for thousands of years. Look what had happened to him.
He's a schmuck. He's an idiot.
Why don't you look at Jibril?
Why do you look at Satan? Of all those that you can look at, you neglected the billions of angels who are worshipping Allah Azza wa Jal and whom Allah is pleased with. And you only go to this cursed individual and take him as a role model?
He is your role model and you will be with him in hellfire for eternity, inshallah.
These people, you just run. When they come and say, "Oh, look at the Muslims who prayed. They do this. They do that."
Come up with your own examples. The prophet used to pray also.
The companions used to pray. The tabiin used to pray. The tabiin tabiin used to pray. All the vast majority of the Muslims we see who are law-abiding citizens, who are good individuals, you don't see them. You don't consider them to be good, righteous people. And you only look at the bad apples that you associate yourself with 24/7.
You will be with them.
So, akhi, don't waste your time. Let them go to hell. Who cares about them?
Focus on me getting to paradise and let them go to hell. I don't care about them. If they don't care about themselves, why would I bother? Look at those who come seeking guidance and asking you for knowledge and wanting to be close to Allah, these are the people you focus all on and Allah knows best. Shahjon from Uzbekistan.
>> Assalam alaykum wa rahmatullahi >> Alaykum salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.
>> So, um, recently I have only been praying fard prayers and I I rarely pray sunnah prayers, like maybe at night I may pray two raka'ah Isha sunnah prayer, but recently I've only been praying fard prayers. Is this a sign from Allah that, um, I'm becoming I'm becoming less religious.
>> Yes, it is.
Of course, it is a sign of Allah that you are becoming less religious because fard is the core center of our Islam.
And is surrounded by voluntary prayers such as a rawatib, 12 rak'ahs.
And then out of it, the general nafl that is highly recommended such as al-duha, night prayer, and al-witr.
So, whenever the enemy wants to in intrude and penetrate your defense lines, they have two big fences.
So, if they would penetrate the first fence, they would go to the rawatib, the 12 rak'ahs. And if you neglect those, then they're faced with the fard prayers. And if you miss fard prayers, you're doomed. So, you have to restart building this great wall, these firewalls, so that it would protect you with the grace of Allah Azza wa Jalla.

>> Why are Muslim country UAE, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Jordan, and Egypt not fighting against the US and Israel for providing support to Palestine?
>> What are you saying, akhi? Speak in English.
>> Hello?
>> Yes, I don't understand a word of what you're saying.
>> Uh, why are Muslim not supporting Palestine?
>> Why why why are you not? Why what?
>> Why Muslim are not fighting against the US and Israel?
>> For what?
>> To for for not supporting Palestine.
>> So, ask them.
If you can go, why aren't you fighting them?
Why aren't you going there to fight, Muhammad?
>> Uh, because I'm living outside Palestine.
>> Buy buy a >> ticket and go and see what will happen to you.
Sometimes people don't see beyond the tip of their noses.
They speak about mega issues that is way above their pay grade.
Aki, running a country, having people dependent on you, the pros and cons, enemies anticipating you to make a mistake, things that are way beyond your comprehension cannot be just scratched with a pen and say, "Why don't you do this and do that?"
If you personally you're not able to do any such thing, how do you expect others to do it?
There are so many things that are interlinked that we don't see.
And this is not our job. Our job is to fulfill what Allah ordered us in the Quran and the Sunnah according to our capability. Me as a Muslim, Allah told me to do the following things. None of them is to go over my boundaries and try to do things that Allah Azza wa Jal condemns and does not approve of.

>> Sheikh, my question is in one of your videos you mentioned that a person should have interest, passion, and a sense of purpose in his career.
Alhamdulillah, I have that for medicine.
And I also want to use it for to benefit others for the sake of Allah. My confusion is that Allah has already given us the greatest purpose through the Quran and Sunnah.
When we look at the companions of the Prophet Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, we see how this [snorts and clears throat] purpose motivated them to strive with dedication and excellence. So, why can a person still have a clear purpose, genuine interest, and even a passion for field, yet lack discipline, focus, consistency, and ihsan in his action. What is the missing factor and how can a Muslim overcome this gap between knowing the purpose and acting upon it with excellence? This is due to laziness and lack of Iman and motivation.
Simple as that. So many Muslims know that there is heaven and there is hell.
They know that if they die on the sins they're doing they're going to hell and they are continuing to do it.
So it's lack of conviction, lack of Yakeen and Iman and also lack of the motivation, laziness.
Procrastinating every time saying maybe tomorrow, maybe next week, maybe the following. There is no motivation for them and it's at the beginning and at the end. Firstly and lastly, it is to a week.
It is the success and encouragement and the support that Allah gives. If Allah doesn't give it to you, you're not going to do anything good.
