This hybrid model is a clever way to repackage a low-probability lottery as a sophisticated strategy for the intellectually curious. It provides a psychological safety net that masks the harsh reality of diminishing returns for small-scale miners.

HOME Solo BITCOIN Mining is Getting INSANE!
Added:I hit a Bitcoin block. Well, kind of.
All right, not really. Let me explain.
What's going on, guys? Welcome back to the channel. So, if you guys remember like last week, actually, it was actually 5 days ago, I did this video right here. You're solo mining Bitcoin wrong. And we talk about parasite pool, which is this new, I guess new, within the last 6 months quasi hybrid pool. Uh, and we'll get more into that in just a minute, but I was on that pool and I was solo mining on that pool and I was rewarded with some Bitcoin even though I was solo mining. So, let me explain.
Terra hosting is what happens when entrepreneurial grit meets industrialgrade mining. Starting in the owner's garage, growing into a warehouse, and now operating out of a retired DoD military base in Indiana, Terra Hosting has built its reputation from the ground up. Today, they run an 8 megawatt ASICH hosting facility just outside Terahoot, delivering true white glove customercentric service. From free consulting calls to purchasing your first ASIC to powering your miners in a professional environment, Terra Hosting is the perfect home for hobby miners ready to scale into industrial level operations. They support traditional aircooled hosting and now offer state-of-the-art hydro hosting from the latest generation miners. reach out to Terrahosting today and tell them the hobbyest miner sent you for special pricing and exclusive discounts. So, jumping over to Meool uh coming up to the top right hand corner, we're going to go to Parasite and I have a minor on Parasite pool right now. It's actually this guy right here. It's a Bitcoin merch nerd QX++ 4.8 Terraash home solo bitcoin miner and it's mining directly to parasite pool and take a look at this when I scroll down um you can see parasite pool 3 days ago hit a Bitcoin block. So I released the video 5 days ago 2 days later a bitcoin block was hit on the pool and then just 12 hours ago another Bitcoin block. I mean look at this. They hit a Bitcoin block 5 months ago. than three months ago, four weeks ago, three days ago, and 12 hours ago. And you might be like, "That's great. That's awesome. Someone on parasite pool hit a Bitcoin block." But if you remember and you watch this video, parasite pool is very different. It's a hybrid pool versus solo mining. With solo mining, you mine to your own node or to a solo pool, and you have to hit the block to get any reward. On parasite pool, if someone hits a Bitcoin block, they only get one bitcoin. and the rest of that 2.125 Bitcoin gets distributed to the rest of the people on the block based off of their effort and accepted shares on the block. So, I've been on Parasite Pool uh for the last um what six or seven days total and we've actually been a part of two Bitcoin blocks that have been hit. So, this is parasite.space. I have a full video on this. I'm going to link it directly down below if you're interested in trying this out. Guys, this is insane. We were like when I did that video, it was below a pedash and now it's at 3.28 exahash, which is absolutely nuts how much the the hash rate on this pool has just gone parab parabolic to be honest with you. I mean, look down here. 6day average is 511. So, someone or a ton of people have put a ton of hash rate on this pool. When I come down here and take a look, we were down in my last video just 7 days ago at about 16,000, I think it was, miners. Now, we're all the way up here at over 20,000 miners on this pool right now. Someone has put some major hash rate on this pool. And guess what? It benefits us, anyone who is on this pool directly. Now, jumping over, I want to go ahead and show you guys um here are the different blocks and the different rounds. They call them rounds on the pool. So, you can see going back, you know, it's been a number. This was 938, 945, 954, and 958.
These are the block numbers. So, this was the one that was just hit like 5 days ago. And then this is the one that was just hit 12 hours ago. And now we're on to the current round. So I'm on my third round and I've only been on Parasite Pool for seven days total at this point in time. So jumping over, I want to show you guys this is my account. I actually created a within Tangum. I don't know if you guys are familiar. By the way, I highly recommend Tangent wallets. Um I live and breathe by them. I'll leave a link down below if you're interested in like what in the world is a Tangum wallet, but I created a separate wallet within Tangent Wallet just for Parasite Pool. so that I can monitor everything that I'm getting rewarded very easily. You can do the same thing. You can create I think up to 20 different subwallets. And here is my tandem bitcoin address just for parasite pool. Now I it's coming up that I'm getting 5.11 terraash on parasite pool.
So better than what it's traditionally.
But let me zoom in here a little bit. So I got some achievements as I call them or achievements. Where's my where's my Xbox uh players at from back in the day?
Original Xbox. So you can see I was part of mining each of these blocks. So they kind of give you these little like metals which is cool. They gify it a little bit but I was part of these. So I was on parasite pool. I was mining with my wallet and very little effort only 5 terraash which is very little little in the grand scheme of when you jump back and look at 3.26 uh exahash. But that being said, you know, I've been on here so far. My best difficulty has been 1.76.
And you know, we've done pretty good. My total work is 686. Now, that's just this round, right? Just this current round there. And you can see down below here, here is my nerd QX listed. And it does show the different rounds. You know, this is on my third round total, which is pretty slick to be honest with you.
Now, that being said, how much did I make? So, I was only on the pool for a very small amount of time. I want to be entirely transparent. Seven days total.
I was only on the pool for two days, two to three days, I think it was, the first time this block hit. So, if we jump over, uh, I'm over on blockchain.com, the explorer. And you could see in this Bitcoin wallet, I have a whopping, let me zoom in here, give you guys a better view. I have a whopping $1.74 in Bitcoin. So, I was entirely solo mining to Parasite Pool just with this one device. Not all my other solo miners, just this one. And the first block I was on for like 2 days, maybe 3 days, and I was about se about give or take about 74 cents worth of Bitcoin.
And then the second block I ended up earning uh you can see because I have two total transactions here. Uh the first one back on the 15th and the second one just the other day, but I was on there much longer. uh 99 cents worth you can see on the top right hand corner. So about a dollar so about a $1.74 total what I earned solo mining being a part of parasite pool. Now I could have very much earned significantly more if I had more hash rate over here but I'm a firm believer in running your own node and solo mining to your own node. So I love the whole parasite pool mechanic. I think it's great. I love this kind of communal aspect of it when like someone hits a block, we all hit get rewarded in some way, shape or form and they still get one whole Bitcoin which I think is awesome. But I'm going for that trophy at this point in time. And so jumping over, this is my own node. I'm running it here at home out in my crypto mining shed. Um, and if you guys are like, "Wait, whoa, what? You're running your own node? How does that work? I'm running my own node and my own pool."
Uh, yes, here it is right here. I'm running my own node. my own Bitcoin node. We are running core. I know some of you guys are on knots, whatever, whatever floats your boat, but I'm running core currently right now. 100% synchronized and I am running a new um web interface which is go pool. Um I love it because of the interface side of it. It actually my understanding is is built off of CK poolool. Uh let me scroll to the bottom here. Uh go pool is based on CK poolool. Yes. And taking a closer look, why I love it is not because I have the chance of hitting a solo block in any magic way more than what I did when I was on Bassin or public pool, but the interface. And this is one of the reasons why I will jump from one pool to another is because of the interface, the user side. I have so much more information. It's clean. So, shout out to the guys that did go ahead and develop this go burr pool interface.
I love this. Absolutely. So, right now I have 54.97 Terraash solo mining Bitcoin on my own home node. Scrolling down, you can see here is each of my 11 miners. I love it.
It's clean. It even pulls up the minor type on its own. Shows the hash rate and also my best difficulty. Now, I just did jump over to this yesterday, so we haven't had a ton of time, but my best one so far. Another nerd QX. Look at that. That's actually rather interesting. 1.62 62. When we were jumping over to Parasite Pool, my best difficulty was 1.76.
So, it's wild. Actually, this is the first time I'm seeing it that the Nerd QX seems to be performing almost the best when it comes down to shares. I wonder if there's something to that.
Guys, do me a favor. Go over if you have a Nerd QX, check out is it your best performing from a difficulty perspective. I wonder if there's something to that. Please let me know.
Down below here, you can see the entire pool hash rate as well as the Bitcoin network. And look, it shows each of the blocks hit right in this list. So, you can see all recent blocks, which is really, really slick. There is a few miners that have just been announced within the last week or that have really gotten the spotlight in the last week.
And let's take a look at three of them because they're the middle of the road.
So, the first one here, we're over on Altar Tech. I'll leave a link to this directly down below if you're interested. These are miners that are really we're it's funny we had this mass like surge of home solo Bitcoin miners ranging from less than uh a terraash to now slowly climbing up right we looked at the octaxes those were 10 to 12 terraash but now we're starting to get to the middle of the road I feel like um and this one comes in this is called the Kbox built by Gecko Science highly recommend you come over check it out over on Alterate Techch and right now it's going for $840 $39 and this is 22 terraash at only 330 watts. Now we're starting to get up there in watts, right? Like once we start to break 100 150 watts, I feel like that 150 is like that cusp. Now we're talking a decent amount of watts out there, especially when you're a home miner looking at some of these electric crates. So it's really interesting. This is pretty slick. You know, fans on the back here. We got some RGBs on the front. We got a little screen here in the upper right hand corner, which is slick. Um, but that all being said, this is something to keep an eye out on. And they're starting to ship. You can actually go over to Altterare Tech, take a look at this unit. I do have one on the way, so we'll be taking a closer look. So, if you're hesitant, hang tight, and I'll test it out myself. I'll have a future video. The guys over at BSB uh minor, partnered once again with Helium Deploy, have this guy coming out.
Um, now this is called the BSB B30. goes for $7.99. Uh, and now, big disclaimer, the first batch already sold out, doesn't ship till September 5th. The second batch doesn't ship till September 15th. So, it's going to be a little while if you decide to buy this unit, even right now. And I will be honest, most companies that have batches never end up meeting the exact deadline. Like, it says September 15th. I'm going to be honest, most companies don't meet that deadline and ship it and you get it on the 5th or it ships on the 5th.
Everything always goes over. So, keep that in mind if you have your mind set on this from a timeline perspective.
Just be very, very careful. Uh, even with this ships on the 15th. Now, I do have one of these on the way as well.
So, I will be going ahead and breaking that down, taking a closer look at it.
Uh, this is the BSB B30. So, what we talked about with this unit is when you come down and take a look at this unit overall comes in at 30 terraash, which is pretty beefy. You know, the Kbox is 22, this is 30. Now, this does say power usage 360 to 450. My guess is there's a few power modes. So, if you want to look at it, 300 or 30 terraash at 450 watts.
This is really starting to get up there.
Especially if you're going to solo mine with this versus pool mining, maybe this is a better candidate. even the Kbox here. Maybe these are better candidates for parasite pool versus straight solo mining. The next one I want to show you guys is a third one which isn't as popular, but I did come across it. So, I was over on uh Twitter and came across this post here from Dean. I'm not familiar with him um but uh after many discussions our team the shell is redesigned with power built in and decided for a new name. So, this is called the NXQ30.
Um kind of similar name to that B30. I think it just comes down to the terraash. Um, and so this one here has six of the BM 1373 chips in it. They're saying 450 to 480. So I'm very curious on who is actually more accurate. I'll be honest with you, none of these numbers are usually that accurate at the wall. You really got to get it. You know, is this a plus or minus 10% or is this true? You know, same thing with this unit over here. Is this plus or minus 10%. You know, what is that? But 30 terraash, which I think is awesome. I love competition in the space. Now, this is I went ahead to find out like where where can I find this unit, Nexus Miner.
Um, I did find their website right on their Twitter here. They have a few I wonder if this is the same company. I believe it is. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. The same company that we saw the Nexus Miner S1 and the Nexus Miner L1.
Um, I did videos in collaboration with Helium deploy on those units. I wonder if they're now selling direct um at this point in time. And so they developed these two products which are awesome, the S1 and the L1. So highly recommend uh taking a look at those units. I don't have the Nexus Nerd QX, but I do have a similar one out there on that. But just something to take a look at. I'll leave links to all of these directly down below if you're interested in researching more about these individual miners. All right, if you guys stayed this long in the video, congratulations.
You have a chance to win this BitAx Gamma 601. and take a look at this badass copper heat sink. This is absolutely wild. Listen, how do you enter the giveaway? Simple and easy.
Just comment down below. I'd love to know more about your solo Bitcoin mining journey. Have you not even gotten started yet and you're looking for uh your first minor? Um, do you have miners on Parasite Pool? How's that worked out for you? Were you part of the last few blocks? Are you mining to your own node?
Just give me your story. I'd love to know more about my community and what part of your solo mining journey you're a part of right now. All right, guys.
That's going to wrap things up for today's video. Thank you for joining me.
I'll see you guys next time. Take care.
