Radner’s analysis incisively demonstrates how digital evidence acts as an uncompromising check on the fallibility of human testimony. It is a compelling study of how a single text message can pivot the narrative of credibility in a high-stakes trial.

Karen Read Witness Karina Kolikithas Texts! Trial Lawyer Breaks it Down!
Added:Today we are going to be talking about Karina Kakus' testimony. Now why after years of the Karen Reed case, criminal case being over, why are we going to be discussing Karina Kolith's testimony?
Well, there's actually two very important reasons why we are going to be discussing Karina Kolkas's testimony, which is actually very relevant very soon. But in case you forgot who Karina Kitus was or is, there was a very memorable moment during Karen Reed's retrial. a moment that just touched everybody and just gave everybody a smile when they heard this testimony.
So, in case you forgot, let's play that little testimony that she gave, which was just very memorable and just very touching to everybody. Listen to this.
>> And uh was there one specific interaction that stands out in your mind then and today?
Um, >> and I'm talking about a physical interaction >> when they Well, they they hugged at one point.
>> Okay. And did John come over to Karen at one point and do something?
>> He did.
>> What did he do?
>> Um, so John went over to Karen and he gave her a kiss on the forehead.
>> Okay. And that kiss on the forehead. Why did that stand out to you?
So honestly, I'd never seen something like that before, a boyfriend do to a girlfriend in public. Never saw that. So it just stood out to me. I was like, "Wow, that's the sweetest thing I've ever seen." So that's the testimony. I'm sure now you remember it. And uh Karina Kith has actually played a very instrumental role in that trial. And in fact, she's going to be playing a very instrumental role in the wrongful death case. Why am I saying that? Well, Karina Kusas had like an hour or so conversation with Karen Reed. Her testimony was in very critical actually in the criminal case because her testimony was to just recap very briefly was that they were loveydvey. Karen Reed and John O'Keefe that night were loveydvey. Now, according to the prosecution, that all ended extremely suddenly. As soon as they got into the car, they got into some crazy fight which caused Karen Reed to get into this fit of anger, throw her car in reverse.
when they got to 34 Fairview and go 24 miles per hour backwards trying to kill John O'Keefe. That's the prosecution's theory. So when you hear Karina talking about how Karen Reed and John O'Keefe, that was just the nicest thing ever I've seen that they were so affectionate and they just were in such a great move.
They were loveydovey and then the next second they just get into Karen Reed decides to kill him. So that actually very very much helped the defense for Karen Reed. Now why is this relevant going forward? Okay, that's very nice in the past. What about going forward?
Well, in the wrongful death case, we know that there was just a hearing and in that hearing, they're talking about the depositions that are going to be coming up. Well, one of the depositions coming up or both the depositions, they said that both of Kithus' depositions are coming up. Nick Karina's husband and Karina herself, her depositions are coming up. Now, we know August 17th is the close of discovery. So, sometime between now and August 17th is going to be the deposition of both Nick and Karina. Now, why is their deposition so important for the wrongful death case?
Well, for two reasons. Number one, obviously, of course, all the context uh that would lend a jury to believe that there was no interaction that Kerry did not hit John O'Keefe, that's also obviously going to tell for the wrongful death case as well that the O'Keefe family is suing Karen Reed for. But for another also for a different cause of action which is the drram shop cause of action. Let's not forget that aside from Karen Reed being a defendant that the O'Keefe family are suing, they also named the bars CF McCarthy's and the waterfall. Why do they name the bars?
What do the bars have to do with this?
Well, there's something called a dramop action. And a drram shop action just simply means that if a bar serves an obviously intoxicated patron and then that patron goes out and commits a tort or kills somebody as a result of negligence or whatever. So then the bar can be responsible civily for money damages. They can be responsibly to compensate the O'Keefe family. So the argument that the O'Keefe family is making is that TF McCarthy's and the waterfall both served Karen Reed who was again these are the allegations that Karen was an obviously intoxicated individual and they kept serving her alcohol and then what do you know she gets into the car and backs up 24 miles per hour to kill John O'Keefe. So that's why the O'Keefe family is also suing the bars. So Karina's testimony is actually going to be very critical because if she's going to be saying and remember this is what her testimony was. Her testimony was that they were loveydovey and everything was great and that she had like an hour conversation with Karen Reed at the waterfall when she was done drinking all of her drinks and she was extremely lucid. They had a very normal, regular conversation that nothing stood out funny to Karina. Well, that's going to be very helpful for Karen Reed's defense and for the bar's defense that they did not serve an obviously intoxicated individual as they're going to be alleging as Karen Reed. So Karina's testimony is actually going to be very critical for the bars. Now what also just happened? Okay, so that's also something coming up. But there's something else that just happened and that is that you know that we are getting more discovery that we seeing that are being passed on that was sent to in the criminal case. We are seeing discovery dumps. There's a special foyer and find out link in Google Drive that you can find all this discovery. And just recently, a report by Tully was seen about some text messages that Karina Kolith has had with somebody else named Meg. Now, some people would speculate that that Meg is referring to Meg Kennedy, but that at this point for me is speculation because, you know, I only go by what's in the reports and in the reports it's redacted. It just says Meg. But there's some sort of text message exchange between Karina and Meg.
And it's right about the night of right right after John O'Keefe's death. So this just became available to the public. And I was taking a look at this and I was like, "Hey, this is something very interesting." And let me pull this up for you and we can go through some of these text messages and what this report actually says regarding that those text messages. So take a look at this. This is this is a discovery that was sent that we're just getting now. Apparently, this is a police report February 24th, 2025. Okay, as you can see, from Lieutenant Brian Tully, now retired Lieutenant Brian Tully, an interview of Meg. So, some sort of interview with Meg. February 24th, 2025.
On Wednesday, February 19th, 2025, I, Lieutenant Brian Tully, received a phone call from somebody redacted on my office telephone. The caller stated her name was Meg something redacted. She stated she watched the testimony of Karina Colus at the trial Kamoth versus Reed last year. So she's referring to the first trial. That actually that clip that I played for you was the second trial. But there was also Karina was called in the first trial and also her testimony was very consistent that John O'Keeffe and Karen Reed just looked happy. Everybody looked happy. Everyone was great. She is talking to Karen Reed and very very similar. She just happened to not say the kiss on the forehead part. You mean she didn't say that part.
Um but everything else was basically the same. Now apparently this Meg person who we don't know the last name is at this point.
It's just speculation. So Meg watched the testimony of Queenas and this is a just a good Samaritan. This is just a good Samaritan who happened to have watched the trial and wants to be a policeman or a lawyer and wants to very much help, you know, just like Kate Peter. They just want to help the prosecution. So Meg decided to reach out to the police and say, "Hey, I caught something. I caught something about Karina Kakus' testimony." Me stated she was friends with Karina Kolkas in 2022.
So seems like they were friends. Not sure if they're continued. They're still friends, but she's saying that they were friends in 2022. She stated she has text messages between her and Karina that contradict Karina's testimony during the trial. The text messages are from the week following John's death. Wow. This is like, who knew about this? Some contradicting text messages between Karina Kolus and Meg Blank, who some people will speculate is Kennedy, but we're not going to. So, it's between Karina and this person named Meg, and it's the week following John's death, and it contradicts Karina's testimony.
Wow, this is juicy, juicy information.
Maybe Karina is going to say that actually she did not speak to Karen Reed for an hour. Maybe she's going to admit to Megan in the in the text messages that she only spoke to her two minutes and she was slurring her words and falling over her feet and not able to have a lucid conversation with her.
Wouldn't that be juicy information for the police to know and for the prosecutors to know?
Well, let's see. On the same date, I received an email from Meg with 22 screenshots of text messages see attached. So, this is the police report that all he's sending on February 19, 2025. Now, remember the retrial was not till a couple months later, I think it's April 2025. So, they had this information. I mean, this is going to be like if this is juicy information and the prosecutor didn't bring this out when Karina was on the stand. I mean, come on. This is like malpractice.
This is like ineffective assistance of counsel. Even though this is not when you're a prosecutor, there's no claim like that. But I mean, come on. If you got such great information that can completely destroy Karina's testimony, I mean, you got to bring it out, right?
So, let's see. Let's see what all these text messages are. M messages are just going to skip through them because they bring them down later in an easier way that we can follow it.
All right, let's go. Let's get there.
Okay, here's an email. Good afternoon.
Please see attached from Meg to Brian Tully, February 19th, 2025. Now, what's very interesting, very, very interesting, something worthwhile pondering actually, is that you'll notice it's February 19th, 2025. She's deciding to reach out February 19, 2025 when the trial and her first testimony was many, many months before.
What's that all about? And is this something that she noticed right away from the first trial and they said right away, we are going to be retrying her.
What took a couple months? What exactly what was exactly going on during those couple months where she decided I'm not going to turn them over? Did she maybe decide that, you know, I I should probably turn them over closer to trial.
So, because if I turn them over right away, maybe it's going to get lost in the shuffle or be stuck in Proctor's uh, you know, folder somewhere that's never going to be seeing the light of day. Who knows? Maybe that's what she thought.
And therefore, she felt, well, maybe I should just turn them over closer to the actual trial date. You know, February to April and not that long. So maybe they'll it'll make more of an impression. Who knows? But that's definitely a a question worthwhile thinking about and exploring. Okay. So, personal cell phone number in case you need to get a hold of her. Here's a personal cell phone number. All right.
Here we go. All right. January 30th, 2022, 7:34 p.m. Call you in a few. And the left is Karina, I would looks like, and the right is Meg. So, here you go. call you in a few. And then Meg says, "Okay, Karina, sorry, just took a while. Just called. It took a while." Meg says, "That's okay. I'm in bed now watching a movie. We'll chat tomorrow." Karina says, "Okay, sounds good. Enjoy." Then Karina sends back on January 31st, 2022 at 7:31 a.m. Karina says, "It's all over the news." And Meg says, "I saw." Now, exactly. Now, remember, when there is a contradicting contradiction, I want you to make sure that you point it out and scream it to me. and put it in the comments because this is this is it.
This is the gotcha moment that we're gonna get. We're gonna see from these text messages that Meg felt so important to let Tully know that we are we have got Karina caught in a lie contradicting her own testimony. We are just going to make her look like a fool in the second second trial. Let's take a look. I saw.
And then here comes Karina. It's on the radio, too. Poor Jen. And this is Meg saying, "I know." Karina says, "It's all over the news." Meg, I saw. Oh, we just did this. Okay, because they have some of their repeats.
So, Karina says, "Do you know if Waterfall has cameras?" Me says, "I assume they would." Karina says, "I'm kind of freaking out to be honest."
Okay, that was the conversation on January 31st, 2022. Early in the morning. Then the conversation picks up later after work hours. January 31st, 2022. Karina says, "How was your day?"
Meg says, "Chaic. How was yours?" Karina says, "Same.
They have his picture on the news now.
It's so sad. Max says, "OMG, I haven't seen I have clients until 8." Karina says, "Yes, I cried." And then she sends a picture, it seems like, of um John O'Keefe with some sort of message from the state's office of the chief medical examiner, which we cannot see.
Then Karina says, "All over the news."
And Meg responds, "Oh god, the autopsy results sound suspicious." Karina, very okay. Then, so they're talking about the autopsy report. Sounds suspicious. And Karina says, "Yes." Okay. Now, the next day, February 1st, 2022.
And here, Karina says, "See?"
And Meg's responds, "WTF a-hole?" So, we have no idea what they're talking about here. There's just I mean, maybe there's some phone calls in between. We don't know, but I can't even begin to speculate what they're talking about here.
Now, continuing, Karina says, "Cicketric." Meg says, "I know it's embarrassing." Karina says, "Hysterical." Oh, Michelle. Me says, "Leave it to her." And now Meg sends a boston 25 news.com report about John O'Keefe.
Then Karina says, "I know. What do you make of that?" And Karina says, "I heard she's in a psych ward." So Meg responds, "They are admitting it's a homicide." In a psych word now or was. So now I don't know what Meg's talking about. they are admitting it's a homicide. Is she referring to the autopsy report? Is she referring to a um other conversations that other people have had? I'm not sure what she's talking about. So, she just says they are admitting it's a homicide. And then responding to Karina saying in a psych word now or she was in a psych word. And Karina says I heard she is.
And then Meg says I would be. And Karina says, "Does it mean that I didn't respond?" I'm not sure what she's referring to. Respond to what? Respond to who? Karen Reed. I mean, respond I don't know what they're talking about responding to. And then Meg says, "I didn't either." Karina says, "Honestly."
And then Meg says, "I actually did privately about two minutes ago just saying, "Thank you for organizing animal contribute gift cards." So apparently some sort of gift. I would imagine there's some sort of gift that they're maybe organizing for the O'Keefe or something like that. Um I can't be blatantly rude. Um, Karina says, "Okay, so I should maybe talk about I should respond." Then you got Meg saying, "Probably, so we don't look like bullies."
Karina says, "You are too nice. Now you are making me with a smiling emoji or laughing emoji." Then Meg says, "Haha, cuz she is too skilled at making herself the victim." Again, we don't know who she's talking about. Too many pronouns without any people identified. So, all right. Now, we have another conversation. Karina says she just got arrested now. I can imagine that this must be talking about Karen Reed. To which me says, "I know." And forwards a tweet from Steve Cooper something about breaking Karen Reed of Mansfield arrested a manslaughter charges yada yada yada yada.
Then Karina says, "Yep, I saw it." And Meg says, "Sociopath." So Meg starts with the name calling on Karen Reed saying that Karen Reed is a sociopath.
That's what the context at least anyway is. And then Karina says, "OMG, I can't even. Did Jen see the head injury?" And to think I was giving her the benefit of the doubt. So this is where Karina is a little bit jumping to conclusions here saying you know again this is a what many people do is when you see that the police arrested somebody this is what criminal defense attorneys always have to work against is that there is unfortunately not a presumption of innocence once the police arrest somebody that very quickly many people make the presumption of guilt and unfortunate but that's what happens all the time and this is what criminal defense attorneys are always up against because you got a person sitting in that jumpsuit or not jumpsuit at that point But you got somebody sitting at that table who the police arrested. Many people are going to be jumping to the conclusion that oh they must have done something wrong otherwise why is he there or why is she there? So this is Karina kind of being guilty of that herself saying well you know I guess the cops got it right you know and that's what a lot of people give confidence to the police. This is before obviously any information came out in this case. They knew nothing. And this is where, okay, she's just assuming that the cops actually did an investigation, which we see very clearly afterwards. They did not. So, um, but this is where she's first thinking. Okay. Then Meg says, "Yes, I think she did see it." Referring to Jennifer McCabe seeing the head injury. So, Karina says, "Crazy. What do you think is a blunt object?" Because in the autopsy report says that there was a blunt object apparently. So then she says, um, that poor man, motive. This is Karina again talking motive. What's the motive? What what would make you that angry? So here's Karina already trying to figure out, wait, what's the motive?
What would make you that angry? She she's probably remembering, you know, I remember them seeing seeing Karina seeing Karen Reed and John O'Keefe at the bar. Everything seemed great. In fact, she spoke to her. So this is where Karina seems to start questioning herself. What's the motive here? What would make you that angry? And then here's Meg putting in some suggestions.
I bet he tried to break up with her or something. So that's her speculation where maybe she's getting the information from somebody. Who knows?
But that's what she's saying. And then Karina says in front of the house, wasn't he trying to go have fun? He looked happy with her. So this is all very consistent with what Karina testified about. So again, remember, just hit me up. Hit me up in the comments when you see the contradiction here. Uh, but here Karina is very clearly saying she's trying to figure this out herself. She he looked happy with her. Wasn't he trying to go have fun?
Now we get some more information that somehow Meg has found out. Another question that you may have. How does Meg hear about know about this? I heard this is what Meg says. I heard she sent texts earlier to someone saying he was being a jerk and she might be going out alone.
She may have shown up at bar where he was where he was uninvited.
So where is me getting all this information for? These are all the questions that an attorney would want to ask me if they took her deposition of her say, "Hey, you know, you're saying here right away that you heard from somebody that she Karen Reed sent text messages to somebody else saying he was being a jerk. Who you referring to?"
And then here's the answer. Uh then this is what Karina says back. when she went to McCarthy's like that she was uninvited when she went to McCarthy's she just happened to have known where he was going and then just showed up uninvited and then me says yes I'm guessing but who knows to which Karina says there must be text to which Meg says has to be so there has to be text did she see the text now she's seems like pretending that she's not see the text but she heard from somebody that there are some texts that there were some conversations that Karen Reed had very question about where Meg got her information from, but anyway, moving on.
Karina says, "I knew that morning thing was a show she did." Not exactly sure what she's referring to here. I just couldn't believe she would do that.
Meaning, again, here we have Karina saying, I just couldn't believe she would do that. Do what? Meaning that she would kill John O'Keefe. She still can't wrap her mind around this.
And then she says, "Oh, maybe another woman." That would piss her off. Like if Karen found out that there's some other woman that was romantically involved with John O'Keefe. Okay. So now she's looking for a solution to this problem that she has. Karina has this problem that why does it make it doesn't make any sense that Gary Reed would go kill John O'Keefe. Now moving on. So you got another uh tweet that Meg sends to her about Steve Cooper. Sources say a woman charged with killing Boston police officer John O'Keefe tried to cover up the crime by calling police the next morning and the detectives found pieces of her car in the snowbank. The offduty officer was found unresponsive in during the blizzard.
So that's what she sends to Karina. So Karina responds, "Yep, horrible.
Honestly, it's shocking." Me says, "So shocking." Karina says, "She was so nice." So here Karina is saying, "She was so nice." So again, she's having this problem. Wait, Karen Reed was so nice. And now she's saying, "Well, you know, I I guess if everyone's saying that she actually killed him, obviously not." You know, if if that's what happened, then she's saying, "Obviously not." To which Meg says, "Psycho, she's a psycho." To which uh Karina says, "Clearly."
So again, assuming this is the first day of the investigation and assuming that Karina thinks the police got it actually right, that there's actually some evidence to back this up and being fed this information from Egg. She's saying, yeah, I guess guess she is psycho if she would do that.
And then he's then she's saying, well, she was psycho then John must have known that. He must have known it, too. And then she says, I told you I found her to be manic. So this is where Karina is saying, okay, she must have she told at some point apparently Karina told Meg that she found Karen at some point to be manic, meaning someone who's gets very excited, uh gets is high energy, uh is a little bit too excited about things. So um this is where she's telling that she must have told at some point Meg that she found Karen to be manic. Now, she's not talking about from here that doesn't seem from these text. She's saying that the night of the Jan the night that John died. She's not saying I found her to be manic that night. This all makes perfect sense. Now, that's not what she's saying now. She's saying very clearly that I I told you at some point that she was manic. So, maybe this is all this is all one big puzzle trying to come together.
Although you still see that Karina is really struggling to understand how this makes sense because she's also saying that they were so happy and everything at the bar was was fine. So, how does this all make sense? But now she's being fed this information. She's a psycho and and we have these text messages and she's trying to put all these pieces together. So, it seems that she's saying, "Okay, well, maybe at one point I said that she's a very like manic type of person who just gets very excited very easily. Uh, I don't know. Maybe maybe this is all coming together."
So then um Mag says yes you did.
So uh Karina says back you sleeping? He must have known that she was psycho.
This must not be a new thing. Poor guy.
So again this is where Karina still looks like she's having trouble with this because wait that means that Jon must have known that she was psycho.
This isn't just like a one thing oneoff thing. Usually psychopaths are psychopaths not just one night after a three-year relationship, right? It's usually that you can tell things from a person before. So, this is where Kina's like, this looks like she's still struggling with this that is this such a psychopath like Karen Reed is such a psychopath and that's what's going on here. Like then then John must have known about it. So, still looks like she's trying to put the pieces together.
Then you have morning from Karina. Do you know who's going to the arraignment?
I think it's open to the public. Here's the response for Meg. Meg. Uh, Jen is going with Peggy. Karina, I still can't wrap my head around this. You see that?
She's still having trouble with this. Oh my gosh, they are showing her on the news.
Me says, "What news?" Karina says, "Fox 25. You want to see it?
You watching or you at work?" And Mag says, "I'm at work. Can you send me the link?" So Karina, there isn't one yet.
They keep showing her. They are in the courtroom waiting for it to start.
Did you get an update from Jen? So Meg apparently knows Jen. Okay. So that would help with some of your speculation out there who this Meg person is. So somebody close with Jen. Maybe that's where she's getting some information from. And uh Karina's asking, did you get an update from Jen? It's bad.
And the response from Meg is, "No, work has been crazy. What happened?"
So Karina says bail is set at 50,000.
Her attorney was asking for her to be released on her own recgnizance, but the judge said no. she can drive if the R&B allows her to. Basically, he's saying that she did not know she hit him.
They're also saying she didn't get offered an attorney like no Miranda rightites offered. Don't know if that's true. Jen's name is all over the place.
They read what she told the police. So, this probably referring to what David Yianetti was saying that it doesn't look like this there was any intention here.
If there was intention to to hit him, but of course, a lot of people are taking that out of context, not understanding what David was saying. He wasn't saying that there obviously was an interaction. He's just saying even if there would be one, there was definitely no intent here. So, um, that seems to be what she's quoting here. And Karina says they said he was badly beaten up. His eyes were swollen shut. Now, Karina is saying she was badly that he was badly beaten up. Lacerations all over his arms, I think, on his head, too. And Meg says, "OMG."
Karina says they showed everyone in the courtroom. It was live. Then you have Meg saying, "Now she says she has a brain tumor." And you've got Karina saying she might get off. Yes, she showed no remorse. She showed no remorse. So I think this is what where car they're talking about the arraignment here. And it seems that Karina was saying that Karen doesn't show any remorse at the arraignment hearing. And yeah, arraignments are not for remorse. Again, this is just Karina's just, you know, not understanding really the the legal process here or what different dates are. This isn't a sentencing. This is an arraignment. So, you know, you're not going to be showing any remorse, especially if you didn't do it. So, uh, but again, it seems at this point Karina is under the belief that the cops actually got it right and therefore she's like, "Oh, she shows no remorse."
You know, that's why it's seems to be something that's sticking out to her.
Uh, so Me says, "OMG, unreal. I read they have ring footage of the incident."
Oo, ring footage of the incident.
Remember these reports?
Seriously, she wasn't crying or anything. So, this is Meg soaking the fire again, not understanding at all any of the legal process here. Uh, and uh, Karina says no, they didn't talk about it. I don't think they speak about the evidence really, mostly about the bail and why they wanted it set at what it was. Nick thought Nick Karina's husband thought it was way too low. He said when he wor when he worked for the DA, he was at $50,000 for little offenses.
Me says, "What channel was a live feed on on from arraignment?" Karina says Fox 25. They're the only ones. She said a brain tumor colitis and her and had her colon removed. Oh, and MS. Meg says, "Was the courtroom packed?
Karina says it looked like it was full but not standing room or anything. Maybe because of COVID. So Karen is claiming she dropped him off and didn't see him go in. So now Karina is actually saying what the other side is that Karen is claiming she dropped him off and didn't see him go in. When she woke up in the morning, she saw the broken tail light.
So repeating over what reports she's hearing about Karen's defense to which Meg says, "Yes, she obviously is trying to cover for herself." So, you can see what team Meg is on very clearly from the beginning and throughout these entire text messages. She's completely sold on Karen being guilty uh not allowing any sort of investigation. She is completely sold on this. You see, this is like the difference. Karina is literally trying to figure all these things out. Again, she's being told information. So, at one point she's reacting to information as oh, a psycho.
Oh, yeah. Maybe I did call her manic many many, you know, a while ago or whatever. uh trying to put everything together and very clearly the other side here, the other conversation here, Meg is absolutely on the Karen Reed is guilty side, no questions asked from day one. So, this is very clearly, you know, Meg already made up her mind, just like Proctor did uh the first day of the investigation.
Moving on. Yep. She's saying that she dropped him off, did a three-point turn and left, never saw him after that. Even if she did it by accident, there's no way she didn't know she did it. They checked the car. the cameras and beeping thing worked perfectly.
She hit him, panicked, and left him.
That's assuming it was accidentally, but who knows? And so Karina's like, "Yeah, who knows?" Like, she's trying to figure all these things out. Let's hope there really is a video. And then um Magg says, "OMG." And then she sends something about rate my professors.
We've got Karen Reed at Bentley University.
Karina says, "OMG, have you heard anything else?" To which Meg responds, "No, Anna just said they aren't giving the gift basket until next week." now.
Okay, good. Yes, I think they should wait until a week or so after services.
Okay, talking about the gift basket.
Agreed. I'm happy about that. It's too rushed and they have enough going on right now. Bad day at work. Me says, "Yes, too busy. I'm spent." Karina says, "Go to bed." Then you have the line is going to be awful later. It's bad now.
You have me responding, "Oh god." Karina says, "Yes, we heard 500 police are coming. It's open casket. They're talking about the funeral of John O'Keefe." Me says, "Oh." Karina says, "Are you going to the cemetery after?"
Me says, "I guess we are going to the cemetery but not in procession." I'm letting Ashley call shots. I'm just driving. Karina says, "We are in the We are in the procession." It's sad.
Karina says, "Did anyone go out to eat?
I'm starving." To which Meg says, "We are both No, we are both home. Mike's eating Ritz crackers." And that's the end, believe it or not, of the text messages. So, if you can all please put in the comments where you saw the contradiction between Karina's testimony and the text messages, I'd love to hear it cuz I haven't seen any sort of contradiction at all. Again, Karina's testimony was that Karen Reed and John O'Keefe were great. They were loveydovey. They were hugging. He gave her a kiss on the forehead. Everything seemed to be great. And when they walked out, Jennifer McCabe said to her, "Uh, you're coming with me." So, uh, where in these text messages did she contradict anything, uh, about that at all? So, uh, maybe that's why we didn't hear any sort of cross-examination on this issue because any attorney worth anything would realize that this is actually not contradiction at all. Uh, which is why when you have uh people that just hate Karen Reed uh and want to find any sort of way to squeeze in something and try to find something and they send this information to the police, even then the police will look at it and the attorney will look at it and say, "Sorry, I got nothing here. I'm really sorry. Go back, keep plotting and try to figure something else out." Uh, but that's what we saw from the uh Karina call. So, her deposition is going to be coming up soon. Like we said, her deposition is very important for the wrongful death case, and we'll see if she actually takes the stand in one of the next trials that we're going to be uh seeing, which most likely she will be if this actually goes to trial. So, that's going to be it for today. Uh we are still waiting, by the way, on the Lindsey Clansancy trial. As soon as that starts, we fully intend on covering that and doing our recaps, um pointing out different parts of that trial. I think it's going to be a very, very interesting trial. A lot about mental health. It's going to be very interesting. I think uh very interesting watch. I know it's going to be a little bit longer trial, but we definitely intend on covering it as soon as it start gets going. So, I think they're up to like maybe 10 or 12 even jurors that already sat today. So, uh maybe tomorrow they'll finish up the jury selection process and they'll start opening statements on Thursday. Who knows? Let's see. We're still following that. So, as soon as that gets underway, we will also be all over that. So, that's going to be it for today.
