[00:00:58]Today, I'm joined by a special guest who wears two important hats, blockchain engineer at XDC Network and the lead developer behind Trade Fine Network. In this episode, we'll explore how the platform works, what's being built, and what's next for RWAs on XDC. [00:01:27]>> I'm doing good. Thank you. Thank you for having me on the podcast, Rebecca.

[00:01:30]>> It's lovely to have you in the podcast.

[00:01:32]So yeah, let's get started. Tarun, can you please tell us more about yourself?

[00:01:37]>> Yeah, sure. I'm coming from a technology background and I have more than 18 year of experience. I have the diverse range of domain experience as well as the technologies. From last four year, I'm working the blockchain and at XDC, I'm focusing mainly around the tokenized products and RWAs and the DeFi.

[00:01:56]>> It's great to have uh another, you know, blockchain expert and engineer expert at the podcast and even a DeFi expert. So, Tarun, let's let's talk about TradeFine Network. What is TradeFine Network?

[00:02:07]>> TradeFine Network is actually a data and discovery layer of tokenized trade finance. It makes the real world asset on chain visible and verifiable. You can think of it as like a Bloomberg style view, but for on chain finance. Uh on TradeFine Network, we have the broad category of assets that's being listed like, you know, uh real world asset that encompasses or that includes uh uh you know, the private credit, the bonds, uh the tokenized gold, stable coin. USDC is actually one of the key uh issuers or or other offering on our platform.

[00:02:40]Uh we also have structured products like ETP uh issued by 21 Share currently listing in Europe and uh we have a fast-evolving DeFi ecosystem thanks to our DeFi team.

[00:02:52]And uh more importantly, we have uh you know, the tokenized vaults. Uh these are very important because they are these are the institutional vaults that invest in the real world strategies like the mining and GPU center. So, they are the actually real yield source, not just the DeFi. Apart from that, on TradeFine Network, we're also showing the uh staking and master node information, you know, so we display the uh the yields from the staking infrastructure that that you can generate, you know, that you can get the passive yields from the by staking. And the master node set which actually these master node infrastructure is making the XDC ecosystem uh resilient and, you know, secure.

[00:03:30]>> Very interesting take, you know, um Bloomberg style kind of view for on chain analytics.

[00:03:36]>> And I know you may have mentioned a lot of these what can be shown on the TradeFine Network, but does it cover stable coins?

[00:03:41]>> It does cover indeed actually. As I say, you know, USDC is actually uh one of the biggest stable coin uh on our uh platform and uh yes, it's a it's a major offering.

[00:03:52]That's actually because USDC is very critical as a settlement layer in the trade finance activity. So, having it on our platform and growing regularly is actually a key key component.

[00:04:03]>> All the things that you mentioned is a clear overview of, you know, especially how you're bringing on-chain data and verifiable analytics into one single website or one single page, right? So, let's let's move on to the next part.

[00:04:17]What is TradeFi Network trying to solve?

[00:04:20]>> Yeah, so see, there is a problem that these uh private uh credit opportunities and the real world asset data, it is it is fragmented and it's not easily accessible, you know? And because they're not easily accessible, uh it's very hard to interpret the data and make any, you know, investment-friendly decision out of it. So, this is the core problem that TradeFi Network is trying to solve.

[00:04:44]Yeah.

[00:04:45]>> And why do you think transparency plays a key role?

[00:04:48]>> So, yeah, transparency is very important uh you know, because the institutional capital institutional capital doesn't move on the hype and narrative, rather they it need the trustworthy data. And and, you know, as more and more tokenization is happening and the tokenization adoption is happening, this on-chain verifiability is even more important. And this is where the TradeFi Network actually fit in perfectly, which is filling this gap.

[00:05:10]>> Mhm. I think transparency, you know, and verifiable data is not just important for institutions, but also for retailers. But I think again, great point, you know, bringing fragmented RWA into a single structured view uh helps, you know, investors to make informed decisions.

[00:05:28]>> Absolutely.

[00:05:28]>> So, now let's talk about how participants can actually, you know, engage with the platform. So, one of TradeFi Network's goal is to list private markets, right? Um you know, and how does this platform enable this?

[00:05:42]>> data accessibility is a big problem and, you know, in in private uh credit market it's even a bigger problem. You know, the data is very very, you know, it's behind a closed closed door. It's not very easily accessible. So, at the TradeFinex network, we provide the opportunities for the issuers to to list their product on our, uh, you know, platform, where investors can track the liquidity, the asset performance, the risk associated with the assets all at the single place, and thus can make a better decisions. So, yeah, we are we are bridging the gap between the tokenization issuers and the investors uh, to give a single unified view.

[00:06:18]>> Mhm. I think that's a great way, you know, to showcase um, private market opportunities in a transparent and compliant way. So, yeah, you're improving visibility and also making opportunities more accessible to the investors. So, building on that, Tarun, uh, let's talk about why XDC is the right infrastructure for this.

[00:06:39]Because for private markets, you know, uh, private participants, be it if you're an asset manager, if you're a fintech or a trade finance company, how can they use TradeFinex network?

[00:06:51]>> Yeah, so, uh, the the these players, the the market participants, they can list their, you know, they can list their offerings or their products on the TradeFinex network. Uh, we we fetch the on on-chain analytics from their, you know, uh, their products and display in a meaningful way, so that you know, the the investors and the institutions can see it and it's visibly, uh, available on the dashboard and they can do on-chain verify, you know, it's on-chain verifiable as well. Uh, the XDC network actually is a is a infrastructure layer. It's a core infrastructure layer that enable everything. Like, it enable the issuance of uh, the assets on-chain. Uh, so, it works as a infrastructure layer and TradeFinex network work as a data layer sitting on the top of the XDC network.

[00:07:37]>> And how do you think they can leverage, you know, XDC's smart contracts infrastructure?

[00:07:41]>> Yeah, so, uh, since inception XDC was built around, you know, the real trade finance use cases and that's that's the USP of the XDC network. So, these these market participant can make use of the rich ecosystem that XDC offer apart from just the infrastructure provider. We also XDC also provide the rich trade finance ecosystem.

[00:08:03]>> Amazing. I think that's how, you know, XDC network makes real world data transparent and structured for investors. Now, you know, looking ahead let's explore more about TradeFinex network as more assets move on chain.

[00:08:17]So, there's a growing interest in blockchain for private credit and alternative investments. Why do you think XDC is well suited for this?

[00:08:25]>> See, these private credit and the tokenized assets, they need a blockchain that is cost efficient and and, you know, uh quick in settlement. And XDC fulfill both of these criteria, but more importantly, as I said earlier, XDC is focused around the real business use cases, not just the hyper oriented tokens. So, basically, XDC provide the perfect platform where, you know, the issuers basically can list their products.

[00:08:51]>> Yeah, I think, you know, again on the two layers you combined the architecture of XDC being fast and scalable and, of course, in business side, the the data that you're showing is actually, you know, very structured and very transparent. Now, let's let's talk about the exciting part. What's coming next? Tell us what is the, you know, what's the road map of TradeFinex network? How does it look?

[00:09:17]>> Yeah, of course, evolution is a part of how how you going to improve. So, basically, our our next we want to improve on the two side of the product. One is from the issuer side, you want to make sure that we make the onboarding, the new asset onboarding easier and in more structured way. And from the investor side, we want to increase the data discovery, analytics, and comparison so that investors can see the different categories of, you know, statistics and they can compare and take the best investment, you know, decisions. So, these are the two areas we are doing.

[00:09:49]>> We already have a broad range of categories that we're listing on the TradeFinex network and we are we are expecting more of the tokenized trade finance product, institutional RWA vaults. These are the categories, you know, we want more and more stable coins adoption.

[00:10:05]>> That is a very strong to Rune and especially you're making it more seamless for both issuers and investors to interact within the platform. So, before we wrap up the podcast, Rune, any final message for our community, for our builders, or to viewers who want to list their opportunities to TradeFinex network? How do we find you?

[00:10:25]>> Sure. Thanks. Thanks for giving me this question. This is what I was waiting for. So, as a builder, if you're building on a tokenized product, just don't build it. Make sure your data is visible and this is where TradeFinex network is is your place. You know, we are the marketplace where filling the gap between the between the you, the issuer or the builder, and the investors. So, make sure that you deploy a product on XDC and we'll pull this data, show it in a meaningful structured way so that investors can see your offerings.
