Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu faces significant constraints in accepting any US-Iran deal because Israel depends on the United States militarily, economically, and diplomatically, and is not included in the crucial negotiations over Iran's nuclear program, which Netanyahu considers an existential issue; despite his position as Israel's protector, he must prioritize US relations over his own political legacy, especially given domestic pressures and the broader context of ongoing conflicts in Lebanon and the West Bank.

Will Netanyahu accept any deal Trump makes with Iran?Added:
Kev Aldo, a political analyst, a contributor to the Israeli newspaper Haretsus in Tel Aviv. Aka, you were telling us that Benjamin Netanyahu seems to be at war with the whole world. My question to you was whether he would ever accept any sort of deal that Trump makes with Iran.
This is uh a very interesting question because uh in normal times u this question would not come up whether the uh little country with 10 million people u whether it has a strong army or not but after all uh Israel cannot say no to the United States of America. Um, Israel depends on the United States militarily, economically, diplomatically. If the United States will decide not to put a veto on a resolution, for instance, that Israel has to move out of the occupied territories and go back to the international borders in the north between Israel, Lebanon, and Syria. Uh, this will be the end of the discussion.
Now, uh, imagine if the president of the United States now would be someone like Barack Obama or President Biden. In this case, Netanyahu would repeat what he said several times. I am the only one who can say no to the United States and I am the ultimate protector of Israel.
This is how he wants to be reminded in history. Now what Netanyahu knows as well as Trump better than anything is domestic politics and now he is trapped between you legitimate question. What will Netanyahu do if President Trump, and this is what I believe will happen, will sign an agreement with Iran that will not include end to the the nuclear program and to remove the uh enriched uranium from Iran. Uh Netanya will not be able to say no to this and this will happen behind his back. Israel is not part of the negotiations on the most crucial issue and NetA would even say existential >> issue but uh after all Trump also has elections in November and he's got to deal with enormous pressure from his own constituency from his own uh faction in in in the Congress and uh if you will have to choose between Netanyahu and his own legacy.
He still dreams about the Nobel Peace Prize. I want to remind you, >> I have no doubt that he will choose Trump because it's always Trump comes first.
>> Netanyahu has said in that pre-recorded speech that has been shown on Israeli television that Iran and Hisbala are weaker than ever, but the war with them has not yet ended. Would anything change if Netanyahu lost this year's election?
>> Well, you know, Netanyahu, after what I said before, he's got a point. According to uh the Ty agreement that ended the civil war in Iran uh was exempted from all other militias in Iran in Lebanon because uh it's uh reset is to fight the Israeli occupation and to resist the occupation and as far as I know the occupation is still there but has also a commitment to resolution 1701.
Uh Lebanon's government has a commitment to 1701 from 2006 uh to end the uh military conflict against Israel. The Israeli northern communities have been uh under threat uh in the last two years. Uh we are very lucky that we know that uh there was uh no real coordination between Hamas and on October 7, 2023.
But still Israel has got a point.
Is a terrorist organization and it is not it cannot be part of an agreement and the Lebanese government is not able to do it. is not willing to sign an agreement with Israel and they also have a case because Israel is still occupying the uh West Bank. Gaza is under uh Israeli siege and uh we we have to look at the broader picture and the broader picture is putting an end to the Arab-Israeli conflict and first and foremost your other guest mentioned the Abraham Accords. The the Abraham Accords ignored the Palestinian Israeli conflict. They ignore the occupation and uh what President Trump is suggesting now that Saudi Arabia will will join the Abraham Accords uh is a non-starter as long as the Israel is violating the international law in the West Bank and ignores the other part of the Abra which is a two-state solution.
>> Akad, thank you very much.
