Controlling your money requires understanding your cash flow (income minus expenses), recognizing that your personal value often exceeds your current paycheck, and prioritizing income growth over expense reduction since expenses have limits while income has no ceiling; this financial awareness gives you agency, flexibility, and the ability to build your life intentionally rather than having money control your choices.

Control Your Money Before It Controls YouAdded:
Transformation Thursdays, four principles. Control your money because whether you like it or not, money impacts almost every part of our lives.
And one of the most important things you can understand is your cash flow. How much money's coming in, how much money's going out because every dollar needs a job. Every dollar, every cent, every penny. And the truth is, we don't control everything in life.
But we do get to decide what we spend our money on.
And get we get to decide what we prioritize. We get to decide what we're willing to accept financially.
Something I've been reflecting on recently is this. Your value and your current paycheck are not the same thing.
Sometimes you outgrow the compensation attached to your current job.
And when that happens, part of controlling your money is increasing your income, too. Because yes, budgeting matters. Being intentional matters.
Reducing waste matters. But expenses can only go down so much. Income has no ceiling.
That changed how I think about money.
Controlling your money isn't just about restriction, it's about alignment. Are you spending intentionally? Are you earning intentionally? Are you building a life that actually supports who you want to become?
Because financial stress impacts your freedom. It impacts your options. It impacts your peace. And ultimately, controlling your money is really about controlling your choices. That's the real goal. Not just having money, but having agency, having flexibility, having some breathing room, having ability to build your life intentionally.
And I'm building this in real time, too.
So, learn your numbers. Understand your cash flow. Know your value and take control of your money before it starts controlling you.
This resonates with you, share with somebody trying to build their life intentionally. And I'll see you next Thursday.
Peace.
