I Bottomed Out While Loading in Seattle

[00:00:31]Had some cameras camera issues there. I was charging the the GoPro and unplugged it so I could start recording and she didn't want to fire up.

[00:00:41]Thought it was still charging so I had to get it apart, get the battery out, which is probably not something you should be doing while you're driving.

[00:00:49]But we're good now. Uh we are somewhere between Tacoma and Seattle, Washington.

[00:00:56]Uh I think the town's name is Des Moines, not Des Moines, Iowa.

[00:01:00]That's in Iowa and it's capital, obviously.

[00:01:05]We're in one that's probably a little wetter and greener and not as boring.

[00:01:15]But we are here to pick up a couple of different things. I They're ground ground servicing equipment. I don't know what that means.

[00:01:31]Uh there's like three different pieces and they're all different sizes. That's about all I really know.

[00:01:55]Uh we are actually about We're only 6 minutes later than when I first started out. I did I was expecting to get into some pretty nasty traffic going into Portland, but it really wasn't that bad. And Portland's got a pretty cool downtown when you driving through on I-5. Uh, I I've been up there I forget the road number, but it was a like a parkway or something.

[00:12:34]It was my fault. I'm not going to deny that.

[00:12:43]But I got there and that guy with the beard was yelling at me to come on cuz he said he parked in the road. I was like, well, kind of cuz I was parked in the HOV lane.

[00:12:54]So he just told me to go and I tried to go and I got stuck.

[00:13:00]They weren't too upset about it. He told me that he told broker, he said tell whoever to come to stop on the road before they pull in so they can kind of see what kind of trailer I got. And I thought it was too steep too, but that that message didn't get relayed to me that I need to stop before I pull in.

[00:13:24]But we're all good now.

[00:13:27]Now we just have a ooh, 24-hour uh 1 day and 6-hour drive ahead of us.

[00:13:39]And for some reason it's telling me to stay on uh 90 the whole way until we get to 25 and take to Wyoming.

[00:13:50]Yeah, okay, it's to go through Utah and New Mexico and stuff is uh 35 minutes faster.

[00:14:03]But I don't know why it's so trying so hard for me to go the other way.

[00:14:08]But I wanted to go the other way that's 35 minutes faster anyway cuz it's better scenery that I've never seen before.

[00:14:15]I've been on 90 through Montana, 25 through Wyoming and stuff, so I want to I'm going to mix it up.

[00:14:25]We're a lot heavier than I thought we were, but I think it's cuz that power pack that's on the back.

[00:14:30]Uh we're not overweight though.

[00:14:46]But if I get out of if I get out of Seattle the Seattle area, I should be I shouldn't be in anywhere that there's going to be rush hour traffic once I get out of Seattle.

[00:15:01]Cuz there's not uh you go through like Yakima and some other smaller cities on 90, I think.

[00:15:10]Then I get on 82.

[00:15:14]I don't know. We're just kind of Now, this is like the first trip I think I've ever had other than I guess that fire truck I pulled out of Nevada.

[00:15:24]Then I just kind of just drive and just enjoy the ride. And I wish I had more opportunities to do stuff like that.

[00:15:33]I mean when I hustle and you know, don't take my time, I make really good money doing that. But I'm making really good money doing this.

[00:15:44]And I get to drive through some of the more pretty parts of the United States.

[00:15:49]So I'm just going to I'm just going to kick back and enjoy the ride. We're not going to try and hustle. We got till 9:00 Monday morning to get there.

[00:16:00]So there's no reason to kill myself trying to get there quick.

[00:16:07]So we got we just got a nice load.

[00:16:11]You know, it's not complicated. It's light. No tarps to worry about. Nothing really unless the chain stay tight. We don't have to worry about anything falling off.

[00:16:23]It's relatively low profile so it should make some pretty good fuel mileage, which is very important.

[00:16:31]Speaking of which, I got to figure out where I want to stop and get fuel.

[00:16:42]We're going over that direction cuz I got to get off off of here in 2 miles.

[00:16:50]I don't know why we're going under the speed limit though.

[00:17:38]That was one of the more interesting ways I've loaded a truck though.

[00:17:43]I think there's only ever been like one other time. No, there's been a couple times I've had to use a crane to load.

[00:17:50]I did those scales that we pulled from or that I pulled from Ohio to South St. Louis.

[00:17:59]I pulled a transformer.

[00:18:03]Not the cool kind, the boring kind.

[00:18:07]And they had they unloaded that with a big ass Grove crane.

[00:18:21]That could have been really bad. Oh man, that could have been extremely bad. Look how tight that is.

[00:18:29]Pay attention. I'm just thinking about those potato chips I got laying on the ground that I'm going to eat for lunch cuz I haven't had anything else.
