[00:00:00]Rumble is one of YouTube's biggest competitors, and if this email is legitimate, which I believe it is, then it looks like they want me to upload videos on their platform. So, today you and I are going to be taking a look at the good, the bad, and the ugly side of Rumble and figure out whether it's worth watching and uploading videos on. This video is not sponsored by Rumble. I want to make that very clear right out of the gate. The reason I'm making this video is because I've seen some of my viewers ask if there are any good alternatives to YouTube. And I'm intrigued to find out if Rumble is the answer. So, for context, back in April this year, I received an email from a guy called Ivan, which read, "Hello, I'm Ivan and I represent Rumble, an exciting video and live streaming platform that's rapidly gaining momentum as a YouTube alternative. We're eager to welcome your channel to Rumble, where you can connect with a fresh audience and unlock new revenue opportunities. Our platform offers a vibrant community and innovative features designed to help creators like you thrive. If you're ready to expand your audience and maximize your earnings, we'd love to feature your channel on Rumble.

[00:01:19]Before making this video, I didn't know much about Rumble other than the fact that it simply exists. And one of my favorite YouTubers, Deep Humor, uploaded a video in November 2025 where he said he had received the same email and he voiced his thoughts on Rumble and he essentially said that he was hesitant to upload videos on there because of its strong focus on political content. And after visiting Rumble for the first time, I couldn't agree more. It seems to be a very political platform, especially compared to YouTube. But despite that, I'm not writing it off just yet. While I don't personally watch or upload videos that mainly focus on politics, that doesn't mean that I dislike Rumble because of its content. Anyway, that's enough yapping. This is the website's homepage. And the first thing you'll notice here is this live stream smack bang in the center of your screen titled Trump wins again episode 2517.

[00:02:17]The guy on the live stream is Dan Bonino. I hope I'm pronouncing that right. And he's one of Rumble's biggest creators with 3.64 million followers and is the former deputy director of the FBI. Shout out to Wikipedia. Anyway, from this screenshot alone, you'll notice that Rumble is quite simply very similar to YouTube in terms of looks and functionality. It's got shorts. It's got a trending page. You can create an account. You can pay to go ad free. The list goes on. If we go back to the email that Ivan sent me, we can see that he mentioned new revenue opportunities and the ability to maximize my earnings if I join Rumble. And because I like to treat myself by having a drink and burying myself in fat stacks in my bathtub every other Friday night, I was interested to find out how much I could earn. And it looks like you can make money in essentially the same ways that you can on YouTube through ad revenue and through donations from viewers. I'd be a barefaced liar if I said that I didn't like making money. I don't think there's anyone out there who doesn't like that.

[00:03:25]So, in that respect, Rumble does have my interest. Now, you might be sitting there thinking, "Bro, how do you even know this email was actually from Rumble? There's literally nothing to indicate its legitimacy." And I completely agree. For all I know, this email could be fake and from some random scammer, and my dear friend Ivan might not even be a real person. As a YouTuber, I get loads of annoying, poorly worded, suspicious emails, mostly from companies asking to be my brand manager or join them for some kind of AI marketing projects that's most likely a scam. It's usually those two things.

[00:04:01]However, I do believe that this email is legit, and that's because scam emails and messages usually ask you to complete an action within the confines of the message. I suppose the most obvious example is clicking a dodgy link and entering your card details. This email is persuading me to do something, that being to join Rumble and upload videos on there, but I can't exactly see how a scammer would benefit from me doing that. Anyway, with all that being said, do I think that Rumble is a good alternative to YouTube? Well, if you like watching or creating political content, the answer is a resounding yes.

[00:04:39]and it might even be better than YouTube in that respect. The problem for me lies in the fact that there are so many great creators on YouTube who will never upload on an alternative platform. And the reason for that is because YouTube is an absolute juggernaut in the video sharing industry. I mean, it might have its flaws, many of which I've made videos about, but when it comes to watching and uploading content, YouTube is and probably always be the number one. And I simply can't see a world where Rumble poses a significant threat to YouTube. As for whether I will ever switch from uploading videos to YouTube to uploading videos to Rumble, the answer is no. Will I at least upload to Rumble as well as YouTube? Probably not.

[00:05:30]For all its faults and features that people despise, like ads and comment bots and AI, YouTube has given millions of creators like myself the opportunity to reach millions of viewers. Most of the videos I upload on this channel consist of me criticizing features of this very platform. But despite that, YouTube still pushes my videos out and recommends them to millions of people in the algorithm. And as a result, I get loads of views, sometimes hundreds of thousands or even millions, which is just so ironic given that this whole channel has been built around me criticizing just how ridiculous the ads are on this platform. I personally think it would be counterintuitive to start uploading my videos on a platform much smaller than YouTube. And Rumble is objectively much smaller than YouTube.

[00:06:23]Unless I'm reading this wrong, Rumble made a net loss of over $30 million in Q4 of 2025, compared to YouTube, which made 11.8 billion in revenue in the same time frame. I don't know how much of that was profit, but given how insanely high that number is, I highly highly doubt that they're making a loss. On a different note, I actually think that quite a lot of the video thumbnails on Rumble are surprisingly ugly. I know I can't really say much, but when these videos are put side by side and on top of each other, it just makes the website look a bit messy. You could argue that because YouTube and Rumble are designed in a similar manner that YouTube also runs into this problem. I would personally disagree. I think that while the videos on YouTube's recommended page can often be irrelevant and random for a lot of people, seeing the wide variety of different topics of those videos cements YouTube as a place where people can be creative and upload basically whatever they want as long as they follow the community guidelines and YouTube doesn't wrongly take their video down. Rumble promotes themselves as being a free speech platform that could be less restrictive than YouTube, but I think that's resulted in political content dominating the platform.

[00:07:44]Whereas, I would argue that YouTube is much more diverse in the types of content that is on here. And to be honest, I personally don't really see much political content on YouTube at all.
