I pull up how much money is the gig industry making a year in America. I'm speaking about on-demand gigs only. So, it actually gave me a few different, but I'm going to you know, pull this stuff up for you. It says the on-demand driving and delivery segment of the the US gig economy. Look, if I make a mistake, I'm just going to run it back, all right? Because I'm not AI. So, I'm not perfect. I'm just going to bring it back. Shout out to y'all who understand.
All right, let's run it back. The on-demand driving and delivery segment of the US gig economy is currently generating hundreds of billions of dollars in annual gross volume. For 2025 to 2026, major platforms alone are facilitating over $200 billion in transaction, while the total US gig economy, now this include high-skilled freelance and manual labor.
So, now when you think about you know, platforms like TaskRabbit, if you've ever heard about that. That's I haven't been on their platform for a while. So, if they I think they updated the name of it. Like those platforms, they're also considered gig slash freelance. That's also manual labor because what you can do is you can pretty much sign up on the platform, and if they need somebody to go out let's just say an old lady or somebody not just an old person but a younger person also they're not really tech savvy they don't know they don't know how to pretty much you know mount a TV on the wall what would happen is they would put in the order the order in task rabbit they will send task I mean not task rabbit look like I said I'm not AI task rabbits what task rabbits will do shoot look at the views y'all look at the views behind me.
Crazy so what task rabbit will do is they will now allocate that that that that that job order out to you now if you're tech savvy or you know how to mount let's just say a TV on the wall you go out there you do it that's considered manual labor if you know how to paint if you know how to do drywalling if you know how to you know just go over there and fix something in the house for somebody or even bring a chair upstairs or from upstairs to downstairs something somebody can't really handle because it's a little bit too heavy you go over there and pretty much do that you get paid for it now you're freelancer and of course you're doing manual labor and this is where this comes in so when it says while the total US gig economy including high skilled freelance and manual labor is valued between so they're adding all of that including you know delivery jobs and so forth I mean driving jobs and so forth or driving delivery gig work right they're including all of that together it's all valued between 455 billion and 674 billion dollars.
That's a lot of money y'all that's a lot of money getting floated around in around the United States now because it's between 455 billion and 674 billion. We're just going to say, well, let's just, you know, call it around the medium area, which is four I mean 550 billion dollars. Let's just say that's the medium, right? Between both both of those. It's not the exact numbers. We're talking about 550 billion dollars a year. That's some crazy numbers right there. And so, we're going to go down a little bit more and I'm going to elaborate as I go. Sometimes, you know, you can't just go out there talking about apps apps apps.
What's apps? All of my videos can't be what about apps, y'all.
It can't be. It's just going to get redundant and boring. And, you know, I've been really want to tap into a little bit more than just apps coming on here. Hey, what's the apps? So, you [snorts] know, I wanted to cover more than that, y'all.

I'm going to tell you it's not making any money. So, I'm here showing you that this is a profitable area to be in for you to pretty much create revenue and you could earn a living uh being in this area um of business, which is a gig economy. So, so let's go down a little bit more, right? So, uh right here uh it's talking about Uber.
So, let's talk about Uber uh mobility and delivery. So, we're talking about driving and delivering. So, the total gross bookings that they had um in all is a 162 billion dollars, right? 162.8 billion dollars globally.
Now, when we're talking about mobility, we're going to put them together now, right? So, we're talking about mobility, which is right here revenue Uber pretty much in between 2025 2026 they made 29.7 billion dollars pretty much 30 billion dollars in right here and in Uber Eats food delivery they made a revenue number of 17.2 billion dollars y'all.
Gosh, that is that's a lot of money.

Uber Uber is getting y'all.
They're making money.
>> [snorts] >> Y'all Uber is making money y'all Lyft Lyft made in right here they made 18.5 billion. And in and you get well of course their total revenue gain of course now that's total bookings y'all. Remember they have to pay y'all out pay out the drivers. So, after that their total revenue fell to 6.3 billion dollars. So, Lyft is paying making those payments. Let's look at DoorDash y'all now this is DoorDash delivery only.
So, DoorDash total revenue now projected I'll get to projected now their total revenue for 2025 was 13.7 billion dollars. Let me see they made damn Uber Eats actually made more than DoorDash last year in 2025. By 4 billion dollars. They crushing it but I see a lot more people talking about DoorDash though. But hey, it is what it is Uber is out here killing the game. Their total revenue uh No, no, no. We're back to DoorDash.

this is the thing I don't like about DoorDash or any other uh platforms.
They pay you low and expect uh the the the the the the the customers to tip you. I don't really like that. I don't like that at all at all. And this is what I'm seeing uh being, you know, copycat. That's what I call it, copycat it um that a lot of different companies that's coming in or or apps that's coming in, they're paying low and they're expecting to pass on the other fees to the customers. I don't agree with that. Do you agree with that?
I don't think anybody should be out here doing deliveries and depending on tips.
I just don't buy that. I don't buy that at all. I feel like these companies need to pay y'all.
They need to pay. You can't be like, "Okay, you know, our standard booking or fee that we pay out is $10, but, you know, if you don't get a tip, that's all you're going to get." I'm not with that.
Because what's going to happen is people are going to get mad, which they're already doing that, they're going to get mad at the customers when it's not the customers you're supposed to be getting mad at. You're supposed to be getting mad at the company who's not paying you right.
That's I I just don't get it. When I see people, you know, out there cussing customers and doing all types of stuff to customers' food just because they didn't tip, I look at that as low.
That's low because you're not supposed to be depending on the customers. Look, the customers, when they purchase, I You know what? I've never used a DoorDash nor Uber Eats, y'all?
Never ever ever.
So, what I'm saying here is when the customers make that purchase, they're already bringing business to the platform. See, if they're on Uber Eats, they could have brought that business to DoorDash. Now, as far as if like if I'm I'm getting, let's just say I took a Uber, right? Or or Lyft. And uh the driver sits in the car, you know, I'm always at the airport, you know, so if I'm bringing my luggage and I get out and I get out and he just sit in the car, pop the trunk and I put my luggage in there and I get out and get it back back out, I'm not tipping for that because you didn't do me a service. Yes, you drove the vehicle, but I paid for the ride. I'm not tipping. Now, if you get out your car, open it up, get my my luggage, put it in there, "Hey sir, how are you? This that that that that. Have a good flight." This that I'm tipping you.
I'm tipping I'm tipping you for good service and I think we all should, you know, adapt that type of mentality. When you get good service, you tip people back good, right? So, oh, you know what?
Let's look at DoorDash real quick.
DoorDash DoorDashers in 2025, Dashers earned over $20 billion. Uh >> [laughter] >> DoorDashers earned over $20 billion in 2025. Crazy numbers. All right, so let's go down here, right? Market outlook and scale. This is where you got to really understand what what you're into. Let's look at this right here. It says uh workforce size. Approximately 73 million to 76 million Americans now participate in the gig economy. That's a lot of people. I remember not not too long ago this thing was saying 20-something million people. I remember when I researched it, it was saying 20 Now, in 2026, approximately 73 million to 76 million Americans now participate in the gig economy.
So, between 76 to 70 to between 73 to 76 million Americans, they're doing side hustles out here.
Look, if you have a 9-to-5, a regular 9-5 job in this time of day that we're living in, I don't know how you're making it.
I remember I was talking to uh someone from Florida, with my sister. Let me not just say someone. My my older sister from Florida, and she was saying down in South Florida. Now, when I speak about South Florida, we're talking about Miami, West Palm Beach, and Fort Lauderdale, or Fort Lauderdale, Miami, West Palm, where whichever way you want to put it, right?
Between in South Florida, she was living in Miami.
>> [snorts] >> Uh this was probably about last year or the year before. I think it was the year before last.
She was saying the year before last was when 2024. She was saying that you need to make, for you to survive a regular standard living in Miami, you need to make you need to make about $25, at least $25 an hour.
Plus, you got to have about two side hustles on top of that. And I believed her.
This was 2 years ago.
Right now, I believe for you I'm going to look it up.
I'm going to look it up. I'm going to not now, but I'm going to look it up later.
Right? So, this is where we are right now in the future of the economy. It's crazy, y'all. All right, so let's look at growth trends, and then we're going to get to the top 20 states for gig driving. So, we're going to get to our growth trends. Right share prices for customer rose.
Listen to this. Right share prices for customer rose by 9.6% in 2025, with with average trips costing about $23.66, I believe.
However, driver growth was more modest at 4.1% as trip frequency hit a 7-year low.
So, less people in 2025 uh were taking trips. Now, when it says the the drive the driver hourly pay growth uh was more modest, it means y'all behinds ain't getting no increased pay.
That's just what it's saying.
You You're just going to stay where you at.
So, what Uber is doing or ride-share has been doing is they've been increasing the payout uh or the pay that the customers are paying, but pretty much not increasing the payouts that the drivers are getting.
And that's where it gets real shady when it comes to these ride-share uh apps.
These companies, man, they are robbing y'all. All right, let me look up this, y'all. Let me see tipping. Right here it says tipping. Tipping All right, while ride-share tips reach record high reach records high of $1.58 per trip in 2025, delivery tips slipped to near all-time low of 4. or $4.16 per trip in the final quarter of 2025.
People are getting tired of paying all those high fees. I sure enough This is what I do, y'all. And this is where we could have this conversation on this channel. I remember I used to take Uber a little bit more often than I do now because if I'm going into Let's Let's just say I'm going somewhere. I'm going downtown.
Usually, I would be like, "Yo, I'mma jump in a Uber, you know, uh but nowadays, I'm like, "Yo, I'm just going to drive my own vehicle and park."
Because when I'm looking at where where I am located, right, what, about 16 minutes it's going to take me 16 minutes driving in a Uber to get to the middle of a downtown. Right? That's a 30-something dollar trip.
A 30-something dollar trip. Now, we're talking about 30-something dollars to and 30-something dollars from.
30 plus dollars, y'all.
I'm talking about Now, now I'm ending up paying almost 70 dollars for a 16-minute trip to and a 16-minute trip back.
It doesn't make sense to me. It does not make sense to me at all. So, guess what?
