I low-key felt like I was on an episode of Shark Tank

[00:00:00]Up until today, we have never had a DoorDash driver try to scam us. So, like any other restaurant, we do a ton of delivery orders through DoorDash, Uber Eats, all of those apps. And 99.9% of the drivers are super chill. They just pick up the food and leave. However, when we had a driver come today, they decided that they were going to negotiate a deal with us. He came in to pick up the order, walked halfway to the door, and then just sat down at one of our tables. At first, I assumed that maybe he had another DoorDash order to pick up, but we didn't have anything on our end. I walked over to him just to make sure everything was okay. He deadass looks at me and says, "I'm not leaving until I get an employee discount." So, this man is basically holding someone else's mac and cheese bowl hostage because he thinks delivering for us makes him staff. At first, I thought he was joking, but the driver was still sitting there negotiating like this is a hostage situation and claims he delivers for us all the time, so he basically works here. We honestly thought the situation was so funny that we did end up giving him a free bowl. But now I'm worried that he's going to expect free food every time he comes in.
