The guy in Ventura who was a legend in 6th grade

[00:00:00]That same year, fifth or sixth grade at Loma Vista, is where I met Guy Martin.

[00:00:04]Remember he came from another school. He came to Loma Vista in like fifth or sixth grade. And we became pretty good buddies. But one of the funniest stories I remember about Guy at that time was he was kind of a ladies' man.

[00:00:18]>> [laughter] >> Even in elementary school girls were I was making out with with little these little girls and they're I was little too. So I mean >> [laughter] >> We're talking in fifth or sixth grade, right? And it's like I'm making out with these little girls in the bushes at Loma Vista.

[00:00:36]Um actually no, Washington school. And I remember him telling me he had this one girlfriend who I I won't name it. I could probably name her. Her name's Her name's Kelly. And um I I work with her now at Ventura High.

[00:00:51]She would think this is funny. I wouldn't ask her about this. But I remember he they were kind of dating, you know, like in sixth grade. And I remember Guy was like, "So-and-so likes you. You want to ask her out?"

[00:01:01]And Guy was kind of all pressured and everything. He's like the cool guy, you know. And I was like, "Well wh- where are we >> [laughter] >> where are we going?" And you know, and it's like, "You don't know?" You know, and that's where I learned go to go steady and this this whole thing. So sure enough um I asked her out. It was like in fifth or sixth grade cuz I was pressured by by Guy to do it do all that.
