DOJ Alleges SPLC Paid Extremists Millions, Defrauded Donors

[00:00:01]Basically, what the DOJ is alleging is that the SPLC secretly paid over $3 million to individuals that were embedded within extremist organizations. So, people that were part of the KKK, the Aryan Nations, the National Socialist Movements, and a few other white supremacist groups.

[00:00:26]But, the issue is the SPLC was soliciting donations by telling donors that [music] they were fighting and dismantling these hate groups.

[00:00:38]But, at the same time, they were paying people in these groups to incite violence and you know, basically commit these hate crimes. But, the really fishy thing is that they were allegedly paying these people through like shell entities to conceal [music] the purpose of it. So, that really conflicts with that first speaker was talking about. If it's a known fact that they have informants and the FBI pays informants, and that it's not a big deal that um the Southern Poverty Law Group did the same thing.

[00:01:20]But, then why did they have to make payments through like shell organizations? Why was it concealed?

[00:01:27]So, the government is claiming that this amounts it amounted to them defrauding donors because donors were never told that their money was actually being used to incite violence.
