Starting a pressure washing business requires a 6-18 month journey where you will work for little to no money initially, face numerous setbacks including missed calls, equipment failures, and inconsistent income, and must develop passion for the journey rather than expecting immediate results; success depends on consistent daily effort and treating it as a long-term commitment rather than a quick path to wealth.

The REAL Truth About Starting a Pressure Washing BusinessHinzugefügt:
All right, guys. Welcome back to another video. So, the title of this video will be something along the lines of real talk or just powerwashing talk. You know, look, I've been in the business for the last seven years. You guys know this. Uh gone through a lot of stuff, done a lot of work. Uh been through a lot of different trials and and situations and whatnot to, you know, to get here, right? Two trucks, two trucks out working per day. Trailer back there doing a fload amount of work. We'll probably do over 100 grand this month.
And I look, I don't say that to brag or boast or anything. I just have to set the stage for some of the stuff that I'm about to say in this video. You know, not only do I believe it rings true, but this just comes from personal experience because like I said, I've been out there. I've been every single position out there. I've I've been the guy powerwashing. I've been the guy going on bids and I'm still that guy and I'm still, you know, running the ship around here. So, I've seen a lot in this industry over the last seven years since, you know, 2019 or so. And uh this is probably the one thing that if you guys are just getting started in the business, you have to know and because I get a lot of DMs, a lot of calls, a lot of emails, a lot of this and a lot of that. You know, people are uh very excited to get started in this industry.
And you know, they get motivation from watching my videos and watching other videos and whatnot, which is super super cool to hear. Here's what I really want you to understand right now, and I really want you to get a grasp of this, okay? because this is not an industry or business is not a thing that you do where you walk in and all of a sudden you turn into the you know to the big swing and you know what. Okay, that's not what's going to happen when you start a business. What's going to end up happening your first six to months to 12 months is you're going to learn a lot, right? That's the first thing you're going to do. You're going to get smacked in the face. You're going to learn a lot. You're going to learn a lot about life. You're going to learn a lot about yourself. You know, because if you're coming from a W2 employee situation, well, there's security there, right? Every two weeks, you work, you get paid. Work, you get paid. When you switch to being into business, you know, being an entrepreneur, starting a business for yourself, you're going to do a lot of work in the beginning for no money, right? It doesn't matter if you have a customer or not. Even if you do have a customer, you might do a customer for little to no money just to get your name out there. You might go out there and put a hundred yard signs and you know not you'll go uh you'll go farther than just working for mo no money. You'll work and spend money on marketing and all this stuff, right? So you have to really get this locked in your head that this is a sixmonth to 18month, a year and a half plan where if I work this plan and continue to do what I need to do every single day with a marketing uh you know a marketing schedule every single day I I've teed up what I'm going to do to advance my business and get eyeballs on my business. That's how you kind of have to look at it. you know, this is a one a six month to a year and a half plan where if you do what you got to do every single day, you're going to get somewhere right now. Now, the somewhere at the end of where that's going to be, that's going to really be dependent on how you handle yourself for the last 18 months. It might be, you know, earning your first $50,000, your first $100,000 or 200 or whatever. You know, there's all different kinds of stories out there of people making it big. And big can mean so many different things, right? Um, whenever I first got started, my first 18 months, I don't think I made more than $40,000 or whatever. My first year was really terrible, right? This is the year that you guys don't see because this this year was not on YouTube. I started my YouTube channel on my second year. Okay, so on year one, I was wheeling around a power washer, dude. I was freaking wheeling around a power washer with my little uh XJet sprayer and pumpup sprayer. You know, nothing more than a nothing more than a a young man with a pull around power washer and hoping a dream, right? And so this is what's going to happen your first two years.
You're going to eat a lot of You're going to take a lot of phone calls. You're going to miss a lot of calls. You're going to go to people's houses. You're going to make mistakes.
You're going to make some money, sometimes make no money. You're going to spend a lot of money with little to no comeback. You're going to experiment with Facebook ads and that doesn't work.
And then you're going to tell yourself it doesn't work. You're going to get your Google My Business profile suspended for God knows what reason.
You're going to go out there and and and and mess up your power washing equipment. You're going to go out there and you're going to make mistakes. But this is where passion really kind of gets into it and this is where motivation really kind of, you know, gets into the picture because, you know, you're going to be doing a lot for little to no results. So, you're going to have to get really passionate and get really addicted to the journey rather than the final result. A lot of people come and go in this business, man. They start for a few months, buy all these kinds of equipment, all kinds of stuff happens, and you know, they didn't get the result that they want or the result that they thought would be there right from their big grandiose plan. and it didn't work or nothing in life works that way, right? Didn't happen. And so what happens? They quit, right? Happens all the time in any industry, right?
Power washing is a big one, man. People quit all the time. Um, so that's why I got to tell you, man. I'm here to tell you if you want to get started in this business. Understand that one, the fact this is going to be a six-month to a two-year journey of which, you know, that's how long it's going to take you to really build a client base and how to get your name out there, build reviews and photos and whatnot. And look guys, I always tell you guys to join my program, my community. Hopefully I can, you know, shorten that learning curve for you. But certainly that's not what this video is about, man. This video is about setting the record straight of what you can actually expect when you walk in there.
You're going to fail. You're going to have issues. I have issues right now.
The things that I'm that I'm trying to figure out and stuff. Every single part of life, every single, you know, point in your business journey, you're going to have different roadblocks, whatnot that you're going to be met with. And yeah, look, when you're first getting started, this probably going to be a little bit more roadblocks. Why? Because no one knows you, right? So you gota, that's a big problem. How do you go from being no one knows me to somebody knows me, right? There's a whole thing, a whole learning curve. You got to, you know, get your marketing right and all this branding and stuff and really go out there and do what you got to do. Get addicted to the journey because look, it is a journey, man. It's a journey, dude.
It gives me goosebumps even just thinking about this, man. The last seven years, the run that I've been on, uh, and the things that, you know, just the opportunities, man, not just from YouTube channel, but just in business, man, it's just makes me emotional just thinking about it, right? Um, but everyone's going to have the same feeling. the feeling of, man, you've worked for five years and you look back at what you accomplished in five years and like dude, I went through that Like, man, the housewashing, the thousands of houses I've or the doors that I've knocked and the restaurants that I've walked into and didn't make connection, but I kept on doing it the next day. Those are things that you're going to have to come to grips with.
That's what I'm going to have to do to escape the nineto-5, to take back control of my life, to be able to wake up. What's today? Wednesday to today's Today's Tuesday. Tomorrow's Wednesday.
To wake up on a Wednesday and be like, what do I want to do on Wednesday? You know, I have jobs coming in. I have work lined up for the week and for the month.
I uh my business is doing good. If I want to go jump in the lake, take my boat out, I can do that. I can go take the boat out or, you know, I can have control, a sense of control of my life.
And I'm telling you guys right now, like it's the most beautiful thing in the world. And that is really, in my personal opinion, that is how like humans need to be. Like humans, you got to like you got to like working for yourself and having your own way to monetize yourself, whether you sell a product or a service or a software or you make videos, whatever, business in our cases, right? Having the freedom to to to do that and to position yourself how you want and to manage your schedule is just the best feeling in the world.
But how you get there is you got to one understand that it's going to be a journey because if you don't if if you don't understand this and you don't you know treat the treat this like a journey and do what you got to do every single day. Look, you're going to stay where you're at. And look, nothing's wrong with staying where you're at. You guys might be happy and content. But I have a feeling if you guys are watching this video, you guys want more in life. And look, more doesn't have to equal starting a power watching business. This is not the prettiest business in the world. But I can tell you guys right now, this business right here has granted me and allowed me to do so many things in my life that I would not have have the ability to do. And guys, that might not be powerwashing. It could be really any service business you guys want. You know, I'm involved in a junk removal company that I started eight months ago that's doing pretty good as well. Firefighter junk removal. You guys can go check that out on Instagram or or Tik Tok. See what we're guys see what we're doing with that. But we're having a lot of fun. Um, so just, you know, this is what business is. This is real business, okay? And look, this is a home service business and you want you want to start comparing what businesses is better, that's a different video. But look, I own a power washing business.
I've seen a lot of people come and go. I get so many DMs I can't even I don't I think I have like 30 unanswered DMs. Um, dude, it's it's not even funny how many people reach out to me, but that I can't actually get to, but this is certainly one of the things. It's like, how do I start a pressure washing business? Man, my pressure washing business isn't doing that good. Or, man, like this, this, and that. And I have ways to circum to go around all that stuff. you know, one is having a job, a good stable job while you're building this to have a sense of security in your life. But look, if you're going to yolo and quit your job and do this for real, one, I don't recommend doing that. But second, if you're going to do this for real, understand this is a journey. It's not there's not a the finish line is not right there. Okay? The finish line is way beyond over there. Okay? I haven't even gotten to my finish line yet. Okay?
So, I like to kind of believe I'm in the middle of my journey right here. And so, if you treat it like that and understand that look, some things aren't going to happen this way. Sometimes it might take me longer. It took me took me two and a half years to get where to to really see a sense of stability in business. It might take you six months. It might take you four years. Okay? Everyone's journey is going to be different. But understand that is what you're signing yourself up for. So strap up, okay? And if you want to ride shotgun, you can watch my videos, check out my community and whatnot. But that, you know, I'm here to tell you that that's what you can expect when you start a power washing business because there's going to be mistakes.
There's going to be wins. There's gonna be thousand dollar days and zero dollar days and $5,000 days and days where you know weeks where customers aren't calling you. That happens every single day. Every single time, okay?
Happens in my business, okay? Sometimes.
Understand that fact. But now that you guys know that, let's get back to doing what you guys got to be doing every single day. And if you guys got any kind of value out of this video, do hit the like button, hit the subscribe button.
