Heart attack symptoms include sudden crushing chest pain, shortness of breath, sweating, and pain radiating to the arm or jaw; immediate emergency response with an EKG and high-sensitivity troponin blood test can confirm heart muscle damage, and stents or bypass surgery are life-saving interventions only when performed during an actual heart attack emergency, yet over 90% of these procedures are not performed in this critical situation.

Don't Die of a Heart Attack本站添加:
If you get a cute, sudden, crushing chest pain, shortness of breath, sweating, pain into your arm or jaw, that's a call an ambulance right now and get to the hospital. Once you get there, they're going to run an EKG, they're going to look for electrical patterns that mean your heart muscle is in trouble, and then they'll look at a high sensitivity troponin blood test, and that tells us if heart muscle is actually being damaged.
Now, if those confirm a heart attack, a stent to open the blocked artery, or even a bypass sometimes, can be life saving.
But this is the only situation where a stent or a bypass is actually life saving. Unfortunately, over 90% of them are not done in that situation, and they're not life saving.
