That intermediate step is a preliminary hearing where effectively the prosecution's evidence is going to be tested before a judge, not a jury.

[00:35:15]The standard that we have to meet is not beyond a reasonable doubt at the preliminary hearing stage. It is it is probable cause.

He's explaining when David when the police popped up at his house, the police try to give him a heads up like, "Yo, somebody's missing. I don't know if you know anything, but dude, stop." There's been some very very big updates from inside that I've just witnessed and we've just seen some of the key evidence that they're going to be presenting against David. What we've seen so far is body cam footage of in 2024 in February when um basically an LA sheriff was sent to David's home at the request of the Riverside County Sheriff and they basically got in touch with uh with David personally. Maybe we saw the body warn video where they went to his property. They asked him about Celeste.
