Marandi provides a sobering reality check on global energy fragility, highlighting how the West’s lack of economic resilience makes it uniquely vulnerable to strategic blockades. His analysis offers a chillingly pragmatic look at how asymmetric endurance could shift global power during a resource crisis.

Professor Marandi warns the world is not ready for the growing energy crisisAdded:
Well, I think the the thing that thei the the Trump regime does not uh take account of is the fact that this blockade works two ways. And we already have two months of rising uh global economic crisis and markets are in deep trouble. And people are saying that in a week or two the situation will become much worse. So by uh shutting down trade from the straight of hormones uh even further during the last 10 days or so he's he's intensifying this global crisis.
The Iranians obviously they are uh during like during the war they're going to be resilient because this is a fight for their survival and uh for the Americans this is a war of choice whether it's on the battlefield or when it comes to economic let's call it strangulation.
So the entire world is now suffering and the suffering is going to increase rapidly in the days ahead as the oil reserves as as as the LNG reserves as the helium reserves as the uh as the reserves for all the products that came from the region deplete the uh the global crisis is going to get exacerbated much further.
So the world is not ready for this. And Iran is a country that's been under maximum pressure sanctions for many years now. We h are used to hardship.
During the maximum pressure sanctions of Trump during his first presidency, uh the Iranians for at least two two and a half years exported almost no oil. So hardship is something that we are much more prepared for than the globe and of course than American the American public especially when the public in the United States and people across the world do not see a justification with for this situation that is going to make things much more difficult for them. So uh I think that Trump is looking at the a cl the the the glass that is not even half full. It is not even a quarter full. And uh I think that uh many problems lie ahead for him.
