This build masterfully bridges the gap between aesthetic fandom and rigorous mechanical simulation, turning a block-based sandbox into a legitimate engineering playground. It is a testament to how advanced modding can transform digital play into a sophisticated exercise in structural logic.

Working X-Wing With Create Aeronautics!
Added:Welcome back. As you can see behind me, I've got a new ship to add to your collection. An X-wing, a T65 to be exact. And to be even more exact, it's Red 5, famously piloted by Skywalker, but this is not the Skywalker model, so to say. Um, I took some inspiration from it. Kept it pretty close, but it's not identical to to his version. But here it is. Pretty simple stuff. decent size.
Here I am for scale. And here's the ship. So, of course, rather large, but as always, can't have it player sized as that just just wouldn't be possible. But if I get my Millennium Falcon, which I made in the last video, which if you haven't seen, I'd recommend you go check that out. I tried to match them up closely, as much as I could, keep them accurate, so to say, so that the Falcon wasn't humongously bigger. And this wasn't humongously smaller. It was as always not free of its troubles. And the there there was a lot of troubles. H. So if I Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. Whoa.
Ah.
Oh. Oh. What? The game's just crashed.
The game's just crashed. The game just crashed. Okay. It's just crashed again.
And I don't have a backup. Oh my gosh. I haven't backed up the world and it's just crashed. I'm going to look at the build. Don't look at the build. Don't look at the build. Don't look at the build. Don't look at the build. Don't look at the build. Don't look at the build. Don't look at the build.
Oh, okay. Please.
Oh. Oh my gosh. I don't know how that happened or what happened.
Okay. What? Stop. But of course, fully functional, which I'll I'll show off now. To get started, we come over here and head on under to this little trap door here. And if we look up, we will see this little little crank. If we crank that, this is supposed to be see-through. If we crank that, we shall see the lava starts flowing. And once that's flowing, there we go. We can stop cranking and head on out. Oh, there we go. As I was saying, once that's started, that's the engine up and running. So you can now open up the cockpit, which is done by this little button here. But as you can see, the glass just vanishes. And this is a problem to do with shaders and create contraptions when they're like in this unsimulated as in like state. For some reason, they vanish when shaders are on.
So unfortunately, nothing I can do there. So you could have it where this just opens to a a 90° and then locks there and then you'll be able to see it.
But in the meantime, unfortunately, it's just just kind of how it is. But if I go back to showcasing, you press this little button, grab onto the little handle, and lift yourself up and pop yourself into the cockpit, and the glass will lower down like so. I'll just switch my shaders back on. Here we are in the interior. Obviously, a lot less spacious than the the Falcon. Same controls. If I just get up, WD, shift, F, and space, of course. You can hold space to go up, shift to go down, W forward, and S hits your brakes and goes back. Now, you'll notice the landing gear still hanging out, and the wings are folded. So, that's where you press F, and you assume the the more notable, more famously known position.
Landing gear goes in, tucks away, wings expand, and off you go. So, of course, holding W again. If I just actually just turn cuz I don't want to load new chunks cuz it'll start lagging. You will see we are obviously squint right now because we hit such a sharp turn. If you give it a couple of seconds, it will auto level out and it does remain floating because of the levitate that's full to the brim with. As you can see there, we're nice and level. And we can fly on forward. We can hold space to go as high as you like in theory. I haven't actually tested, but I pretty sure it just keeps on going and going and going. So, if you got any space mods, I don't know how they work.
I've never seen them or tested them, but you can fly off to space. But if we bring ourselves back, we'll swing ourselves over this island and swing her around to park. So, I can show off the mechanics and stuff. So, if we just another drift again, if we hold the brakes, slam the brakes, slam left.
Flight skills of a veteran Battlefront pilot, if I do say so myself, glides buttery smooth. The only thing missing are some nice turbo lasers or a torpedo, although I don't know how I'd fit that in this build. And we bring ourselves back to our original spot right on target. We'll just bring our spring bring around here.
It'll never not feel awesome to pilot an X-wing in any game. And even more crazy that I've got it working in Minecraft.
Close our wings, landing gear out, and make our descent. There we go. Now, if we get up, we can press this little button here, which opens our roof. And as you can see, it vanishes. This is our little emergency stop button, which stops the pump down here, which is currently pumping the fuel, which is currently lava, into these sterling generators, which just controls all the other mechanics, the wings, land gear, and the thrusters, which I've gone against my rule of having it buildable and workable and functional and fuelable in survival.
I've been working on it, playing around with it, testing stuff for quite a few days now, and it's it's just not quite there yet. But I have technically got a finished product for those of you that just want to fly a ship and don't care about creative or sorry, don't care about survival. So, I thought, you know what? I'll just do this for now and publish it so that you guys at least have something to work with and not wait for. I have got over here, if we come over here, this little docking connector where you can dock just to hold it in place, but also it doubles, if I open this as a little fueling port. So, if I take this little demo thing, just imagine this is some kind of fuel tank, say that you've got set up in your base.
If that docks like that, we can then come in, open Oops. And if we flip this and make sure that's going that way, it will actually start fueling up, as you can see, our container here. And vice versa, if we flip this and flip this, oops, flip that, it will then do the opposite, of course, and start draining your your fuel. If you're wanting to move it into a storage unit or swapping it to another ship, you can do that.
Just if you are filling up, just make sure to flip this back so it's pointing towards the tank as that's how your fuel goes along and reaches your little uh furnace here. So, you should be seeing seeing that there. Of course, if we flip this That's empty, which means your fuel isn't running to the ship. I've got this little top bit open just for demonstration purposes, but you can close this off and have it sealed like that or a different kind of block. Just kind of whatever sign you like like best, whether it's closed or open, either either option. Now, up here, I showed you the little button here. If I press this, you'll see it stops the mechanics. So, it stops the fuel being pumped to your your engine here, which you can see there, it's warm and it'll start to cool down and the lava will start to siphon out and then it won't be able to run. So, obviously, if you start that and the engine goes cold, you then won't be able to open your ship. Obviously, I can't now cuz the engine's still running. But if that ever happens and you come down here, even if you're trying to crank this, the engine's frozen cuz it's a little toggle switch. So, you just want to press this little button here. So, if you're cranking this and no fuel's moving, you press this little button and that turns off the clutch there and you'll see the fuel gets moving again. Um, I don't know why it's green in my shader, but it's lava. One thing if I just quickly add is if you're schematic loading it in like I have just now, you'll want to obviously fill this up, but you'll find that when you try to start it, nothing happens and never starts. So, I found that you actually just kind of want to break these and replace them. Just place them down facing that way. And then this one, this engine goes that way, facing that way. And make sure it's set to 64, otherwise it'll get overstressed. And likewise, this one is facing into there.
And again on 64. Then you'll find that when you try to start it either via either end of this hand crank, it it kicks in and you'll be able to run it.
But yeah, I think that's that's all that I have to showcase. Pretty well, I say simple. It's not not been that simple, but in terms of building scale, it's not too bad. It's uh our next addition to the the fleet, so to say. Hopefully you guys approve. Hopefully you guys like it. But oh, hello little bunny. And what are you doing on the X-wing even? As I was saying, yeah, let me know what ships you'd like to see. Make sure you're subscribed so you don't miss the next one. Uh, I'll get to working on this when I can. It might unfortunately just have to be as is, but rest assured I'll keep going with the getting on to the next ships and making sure they're they're playable and they're usable and fuelable purely in survival. Hopefully you enjoy. As always, this schematic will be in the description. Download it, play with it, test it, improve it, whatever your heart desires. And hopefully hopefully you have fun. You can see there all my previous iterations. Like, comment, subscribe.
You know the drill. Make sure to be checking my community posts. I'll occasionally be leaving Whoa.
leaving little teasers there at the the next build coming. I'll try to keep you guys updated if there's anything happening there. But yeah, I'll I'll see you in the next build.
