Rage bait is an internet phenomenon where content creators deliberately provoke outrage to gain attention and clout, exploiting human psychology by targeting polarizing topics like religion, politics, and abortion; successful rage baiters adopt a mindset of caring about nothing, which makes them immune to the backlash they generate, as demonstrated by figures like Nick Fuentes who deflect criticism by appearing unconcerned about anything.

Philosophy of Rage BaitAdded:
Rage bait, an art form that consists of eliciting outrage for the sake of internet clout. Rage bait has been all over the news recently with people falling for it left and right over the most trivial arguments. Artists who can sing versus artists who can't sing.
>> Can't remember how to say your name.
>> [music] >> This who can sing vs. who can't. Like, just tell me you don't get no girls.
Tell me like your mother didn't love you. Just like you might as well just say it. Does it hurt me? Not really.
However, the art of rage bait has become so saturated that most attempts at it just end up being lower for trolling.
Hence, when people are giving an opinion that is different from theirs, they say, "Huh, bad rage bait." Or, "Huh, I almost [clears throat] fell for that rage bait." If you want to properly rage bait someone and actually succeed at it, you better follow my advice. I'm an expert at rage bait because even when I make people upset, it doesn't bother me. I have a decrepit, vapid hole in my soul that only exists to make other people miserable with the words I spew, even though it only brings me mild contentness. This is the exact state of mind you need to be in if you want to be a true master rage baiter like me. With that being said, the most important thing you can do to maximize your chance at rage baiting somebody is to choose the right topic. Usually, you want something that is very polarizing.
Something that will make everyone want to argue with you. A few examples include religion, abortion, politics, and capitalism. Charlie Kirk was very good at this. He would go to different university campuses with his loyalists and argue against the college students who couldn't string sentences together because they were on edge from the Vyvanse in their system, and they would rage at him over the most generic talking points, and those clips would go viral on Instagram and TikTok. You create a company that's like like close to being a fascist and then like >> Okay. Well, how am I Let's Let's go through this. How am I a fascist?
No. Dude, like you >> Can Can you name one thing I believe that's fascist? Um you believe that like you ought Oh, [ __ ] But I'm such a bad fascist I let the people who disagree at open mic to talk to me for 2 hours uninterrupted.
>> Okay. This is essentially what made Charlie Kirk so famous. It also got him shot in the esophagus. So please be careful when you do this. But yo, but to be honest, Charlie Kirk's rage bait is actually pretty rudimentary stuff.
Charlie and a lot of other conservative influencers would go on the college campuses and make a statement that would piss off all the people that are left-hearted and clip farm them. It's not that hard to do. Most people are [ __ ] You can get a clip out of them for anything. The funny thing is these blue-haired feminists with dirty legs, they did the same thing 10 years ago.
Instead rage baiting sensitive young men with mild autism and an interest in World War II history to get clips off of them, too. You know, most people commit are men. Most people who work in dangerous workplaces are men. Most people who fight in war are men. And who set that system up? Both sides of the political spectrum would do this using the most basic rage bait method. And so once you get used to it, it's very easy to spot. That's where I think the term rage bait comes from because our generation grew up on political analysts on CNN and Fox News talking about the same topic from different angles that we all kind of collectively figured out it's kind of [ __ ] Whether you're on the right side or the left side of the spectrum. Our generation is already used to old people going at it on TV and arguing about literal nonsense for hours. We grew up on that during the recession. Most of the people that are getting rage baited from this generation are usually just women because they're not used to people rage baiting them because people want to sleep with them. And millennials because what else are they going to do other than argue? But the reason most people get so angry at being rage baited, right, is because most people stand on something. And they're very stubborn on what they stand for even if they're wrong or haven't really thought about what they stand for that much, they'll still stand on it nonetheless. And when there's an opposition that is arguing against them, they will get heated.
That's debate 101. It's human psychology. And so when we see a middle-aged white guy with a coffee mug sitting on a table with a sign saying debate me about abortion, neurons start firing and we're ready to fight. But although Charlie Kirk and a lot of these Republican debaters are super good at rage bait, they are also equally susceptible to the same rage bait from the opposition because they stand so proudly for what they believe in. And so all you need to do to neutralize someone like Charlie Kirk is bring someone like Destiny in who's there to refute all his points until there's a deadlock because both sides got tired of arguing. But to truly be a masterbater of rage, you have to be willing to let everything go. You have to stand for nothing essentially.
You have to be okay with watching the world burn because then and only then can any attempts at rage bait not hurt you. The people that are the best rage baiters care about nothing and just want to watch the world burn. This is the trend that we are heading towards as a society, a society without honor and humanity. The most important example of this in the political space I think is Nick Fuentes.
I am a rizzless on a [ __ ] shot, okay?
And that's how it is. That's how I was born.
I'm an incel. [music] And some people say, "You're rich.
You're famous. You're not bad looking.
Why can't you rizz up the baddies?
[music] Why can't you rizz up Livvy Dunne?" It's because I am a [ __ ] You can hurl any slur, any comment. You can call him an incel. Any attacks on his psyche is completely deflected and he always seems to come out on top because he just doesn't give a [ __ ] [ __ ] about anything. This makes him an incredible rage baiter and has also amassed millions of followers that share the same beliefs as him.
But at what cost? What would a man like Nick Fuentes that stands on nothing other than spewing on about a vague America that he wants to be Catholic again and no more minorities even though he seems to like minorities and gets rewarded for it with millions of followers want other than money and power. This is why Nick Fuentes has ties with Israel, even though he claims he's an anti-Semite. These are the most infuriating people to deal with if you're an old man that, you know, gives a [ __ ] about things because usually there is nothing you can say to make them mad. And any attempt that you raging at them fails because they know the game better than you. How's that even possible?
>> But you want to talk seriously about the Holocaust? Yeah, I do actually. I mean, I I do because I I just find it extraordinary that you would think the Holocaust could ever be something that we could joke about.
Oh, Piers. Why? Too soon?
>> [laughter] >> Why too soon to make jokes? How is it that Nick Fuentes was able to punk Piers Morgan whilst also joking about the Nazis? It's because he doesn't care. The world is already torched. There is nothing to strive for other than money and power. And power comes from not giving a [ __ ] Or at least pretending not to. This is the current world we live in. This is how we get power. No honor, no humanity, no sense of pride.
We're all learning to not care about anything.
That is our response to rage bait.
