Caleb Hammer provides a necessary reality check by exposing the devastating intersection of financial illiteracy and speculative greed. This serves as a sobering reminder that without a foundational safety net, high-risk investing is merely a fast track to ruin.

Confronting Crypto Scammers
Added:Crypto, crypto, crypto. Years ago, everyone told you you got to get into it. And people haven't really been happy these last couple years. From pumpa dumps to chasing everything to things that are a bit more stable, like Bitcoin. It's all over the place. People are going crazy with it. And I want to talk about some of the stupidest [ __ ] I have ever seen in my life. You got me, you got Brandon, and this is the Caleb.
>> Day 104. going homeless to buy cryptocurrency.
I just had to pull money out of my investment portfolio at the bottom. Why?
Because my BMW broke down and I had to choose between fixing my car or keeping my position.
>> Caleb, don't you preach emergency fund?
Emergency fund. Emergency fund.
>> We sure do. And that isn't even having to do with anything with crypto. He's just being a [ __ ] Why you you know what they say, buy high, sell low. What is he talking about? Also, I I'm confused. So, why did he have to get rid of his uh investment fund to Why couldn't he invest in crypto in his investment fund?
>> He is on day 105 of putting all of the money that he earns into crypto and living in his car.
>> Okay.
>> So, he's gone all in on crypto. So, we had crypto, he had the little investment portfolio, and he's having to sell some things to fix a car. I really want to know what crypto he's getting too. Is he going on like that pump fund thing?
>> Listen, there's a there's one coming up here soon that's going to show you his portfolio and it is every type of cryptocurrency under the sun.
>> People think investing is about having diamond hands, but the truth is if your life isn't stable, you can't hold longterm. That's why I'm documenting this journey to show you what it's really like with no safety net, no apartment, and no backup plans. Well, that's actually not true. I don't think Diamond Hands is spend 100% of your money and hold on to it. I think it's you just hold on to your investment forever, right? Like like Diamond Hands until it goes up until it goes to the moon, right? Am I not mistaken on that? Not like a big crypto diamond hand guy, so maybe I'm misinformed on the diamond hand lifestyle. selling everything to live in your car and go all in on crypto. Um, well, you know, you've said it like, but don't put all your eggs in one basket. I don't I don't THINK THAT'S ALWAYS A >> DIVERSIFY, RIGHT?
>> WELL, I'm hoping at least in his crypto portfolio, it's widely diversified, not just [ __ ] But again, I guess we'll see.
>> I'm going to make it out of this. And when I do, this video is still going to be here.
>> Follow for day 105.
>> 105?
What were the first 104 like?
>> Uh, listen, he's still living in his car.
>> Yeah, it's true.
>> Uh, and here's the thing. I think if he struck it big on crypto, probably have a roof over his head.
>> I woke up today and I decided my portfolio is $130,000.
I'm selling everything and I'm going to put it into Bitcoin. I think it's the right move.
>> Listen, I have nothing against Bitcoin.
I think crypto can be a good part of a balanced portfolio. I have Bitcoin myself. I don't sell all my assets and put it into it. Why can't you start playing catch-up? Let's say you have $130,000 in the S&P 500, start diversifying with, okay, leave the S&P 500, then catch up a little on the crypto. Why do we have to go take this to zero and put it all in crypto? I'm so confused on that. Just like if you want to get in a little international, you don't all of a sudden start selling this to international. Like, that's crazy.
You just start doing ketchup. What?
Like, I don't understand. She Why couldn't she just start buying crypto without selling everything?
>> Buddy, the crypto craze truly took the world by storm years ago and and I don't think we've ever rebounded from it.
>> Again, crypto is not inherently. This isn't Dave Ramsey Boomer. Oh, all crypto is bad. It's like, no, but if you make stupid ass decisions like she is, that that's what makes it bad.
>> Everything I'd say all 130k is going into Bitcoin. I'm so excited about this.
I think I'm going to make millions in probably the next month or so.
>> I'm ecstatic. I think I'm going to buy a place in Thailand on the beach.
>> What? Millions.
>> It's like 300 400% increase.
>> How many times has Bitcoin done that in a month, >> dude? Probably never. May maybe during the big maybe during the big big big crypto uptick. Yeah, I'm sure it'll recover at some point. I know it's uh been >> quite a bit down for a bit, but like that's kind of what Bitcoin does. It goes up, down, up, down.
>> But even if you put even if you put all 130 in it when it did that big boom from 50 to almost 100.
>> One of the biggest months I can see.
Okay, here this would probably be it.
October of 24 to December of 24.
>> No, that went up like 50%.
>> Yeah. So your story, >> which is incredible, but not millions.
>> Not millionaire status.
>> And she saidz millions and then she's going to immediately take it and go purchase.
>> I want to know when that video is dated.
And I want to know if she did make money. Did she get out or is she still holding? Because we're as low as we were back in fall of 24.
>> What is Bitcoin at right now?
>> Well, right now it's at >> is it 60? Uh it's under 58 585 at the time of filming this which is about where it was in October of uh jeez.
Yeah. Almost closer to like September 24.
>> Is it safe to say she is not a multi-millionaire off crypto?
>> Again, I don't know if she did, but a lot of these she's probably diamond handing, right? So, she can't touch it.
So, she can't actually realize the gain of her investment. Again, like honestly looking at this chart, I feel like I want to go buy some Bitcoin. It's pulled back. It's pulled back. I I love buying in the red, but she was probably catching in at the craze. And you know when the craze is, it's always when it's getting close to the top. That's when everyone's No one's excited when we're going down.
>> No. When you start getting close to those six, you know, $100,000 Bitcoin.
Oh, it's exciting. It looks good. You're like, "Oh, it's going to go to the moon." I bet she lost.
>> Um I'm probably going to purchase it before my Bitcoin goes up cuz I'm just that confident in this decision. I hope you guys are having a wonderful day.
>> Okay. I'm hoping that's a troll. There's no way she's considering buying her. for what was it? Thailand property or something.
>> She could probably do that for if she took her 130, she could probably absolutely buy Thailand property.
>> She said before get even getting her Bitcoin.
>> Listen, Caleb, some people just believe some people believe in the vision.
>> And I have a feeling since she said before I get my Bitcoin, it probably was near that $100,000 probably.
>> So her one bitcoin, >> she's day 121 going home was to buy cryptocurrency. And here's why I'm buying XRP instead of paying my rent.
Rent might give me a place to sleep, but XRP gives me a shot at freedom.
>> Oh, actually kind of. I mean, for what it's worth, >> he's not paying his rent, Caleb.
>> Well, I don't think he has, right?
>> He said he wasn't going to pay rent that month.
>> Oh, I thought he just lived in his car.
>> I thought he moronic.
>> He's not paying his rent now.
>> Why allow that to go to collection yourself?
>> Do we think his rent is just car payment?
>> It could be. I was going to say, listen, this isn't a lifestyle that I would encourage, nor do I think it's a good lifestyle, but throw away the crypto part for a second. S&P 500 with more guaranteed returns. Imagine literally putting 85% of your income because you just live in your car into um the S&P 500. I mean, yeah, you would be wealthy much quicker, don't get me wrong, but that's not necessarily a healthy lifestyle that any reasonable person would encourage. Not only that, but he's putting it into Okay, let's see where XRP is.
>> He's putting it into more risky things.
>> I mean, yeah, I feel like the the upside of XRP, >> let's see. XRP Bitwise ETF. So, oh, I think Okay, when it launched, it was at 22, hit a peak of 25. Today's it's at 11.
>> He's probably more homeless now than ever before.
I'm not doing this to stay comfortable.
I'm doing this to escape the matrix completely. Even if XRP doesn't hit this year, I'd still be further ahead than if I spent that money surviving instead of building.
>> Maybe.
>> Well, may Well, no. It sounds like he's worse off, Caleb.
>> Uh because I don't know. Maybe your productivity would be higher. Your earning potential would be higher if you had a roof over your head. I don't know.
I mean, maybe. I mean, sure. I guess it's $11 a coin. share coin uh which is certainly like half of what it was when it launched. So I guess sure you're better off than zero but I don't understand why they couldn't just be in something like the S&P 500 which has done quite well since the launch of XRP.
>> He's one of those grind set individuals.
It's not mindset. It's grind set which >> I don't know if it's always healthy.
>> Not always if it turns you into that.
>> Yeah. Delusion land >> man. Crypto. I'm investing in my mental health now. I lost three grand and like I need this money for my therapy. [ __ ] us so much.
>> You don't lose anything if you don't sell it.
>> That is true. You only lose when you sell. Now, I'm going to take him very literally for a moment just just for the benefit of the doubt cuz maybe he is.
Why are you investing money that should be going to your life needs like therapy? Because it's not like all of a sudden you're not putting your therapy money in investing so that you can pull it out for your therapy sessions. No.
>> So you're putting the money that was meant to go to therapy, which you know, highly encourage. And instead put it to crypto.
>> And the average individual $3,000 loss.
I can't lose $3,000. I don't want to lose $3,000. You don't want to lose,000.
That's horrible.
>> Wow. How much did I lose to to >> I almost killed myself.
>> You lost 10k.
>> I was close. the the the hatch to the top of our building.
>> We had to seal it down extra tight that day.
>> It was like if I had to lose $3,000 right now, I would it would ruin at minimum my week. A minimum. Basic minimum. THAT'S INSANE.
>> I AGREE. I SAID IT IS.
>> AND for the average person ruin their buddy, we earlier I told you I don't even deliver groceries because it's an extra $20 >> and he makes good money.
>> I have thousands of dollars in cryptocurrency. My checking account has $27 that needs to last me 4 days.
>> He's back and he's got $27 and his XRP is uh what's the opposite of going to the moon hell? His XRP is going to hell.
I understand he's trying to get wealthy, but why not a more proven way? He's more on the gambling side of things cuz at least Bitcoin, you're starting to be able to track trends. XRP is nothing.
It's something that's existed since 2022. Unless I'm missing something here, but I just I was just literally looking at Apple stocks. I don't know.
>> So, instead of buying a small smoothie from Lifetime Fitness for $16, we're walking three blocks away to the mother's market to get some yogurt. This is what you sign up for when you buy cryptocurrency.
>> Hold on. Pause. Lifetime's not cheap.
>> No, >> he's a member of expensive as dude.
>> Yeah, it's like 350 a month or something. 250 >> one of the cheaper ones. I used to pay $170 and that was one of the cheaper location >> and and then you you don't get to get the smoothie unless you have access to get in.
>> Yeah. And then you have to buy the $16 smoothie on top of that when you have $27 in your bank account.
>> If he lives in a relatively cheap place, which it's looking a little California, so probably not. But which might mean Lifetime's more expensive by the way.
>> Oh, it probably is.
>> But I was going to say if he first of all, if it's all about the grind set anyway and he's just living in his car, dude, go park in Oklahoma. Like or go get an apartment that's probably the price of your car and your lifetime in Oklahoma. Caleb, you can't find rent that cheap.
>> Yo, they finally got me. I was a part of my first rugp pool.
>> I got cooked.
>> Oh, I recognize Think or Swim from anywhere.
>> Oh, buddy. It's so easy to tell when something's a rug pull.
>> When Miss Tua launches her Hawk Tua coin, you know it's a pump and dump. I'm sorry. Most celebrity most celebrities that co-sign a coin have have obviously not realized the trends in the market because no >> most of the time it's tied to a pretty serious Coffeezilla video.
>> Uh so yeah, I was up like almost a thousand and then that [ __ ] went down long.
>> Oh hey, at least it hasn't gone all the way down. It It only dipped half. It dipped half the game.
>> When did he buy in? Oh, it's always these peak buyers. He bought at the peak. Yeah. Because again, if you bought it at that bottom before it did that big deal, get out and you're still making like good money.
>> Made $1,000, but I think he probably held too long and then it tanked and now he's probably sitting on zero.
>> I don't understand everything. It's so clear what it's pumping up. Why are you doing this? This is day 321 going homeless to buy cryptocurrency, but I already took profit on half my portfolio and I don't plan on buying any more crypto this cycle.
>> What was that profit number? A couple thousand dollars. Few,000.
>> What day was he on?
>> Uh 321.
>> And he said he got profit on half his portfolio.
>> Yeah.
>> Half.
>> Half.
>> I TAKE HALF HIS [ __ ] That lifestyle for a year for a couple thousand dollar.
>> Yeah.
That that doesn't sound more enticing than the life you live now.
>> Wait, you're saying a 9 to5 would be more productive?
>> I said he puts everything he makes in there. Yeah. Does he have a job?
Probably.
Yeah. Does he have anything to show for it though? That is really what it comes down to. And I don't I don't think so.
This ginger though. Should I still call this going homeless to buy crypto? Or should this be going homeless to buy a Lamborghini Urus or going homeless to escape the matrix? Cryptocurrency was never the goal. It was just part of my strategy.
The goal always has been and always will be financial freedom.
>> What? Why are you so far away from it though? Also, is he in a Tesla?
>> Yeah, >> it looks like it.
>> Interesting car to be homeless in.
>> I feel like that's probably the best car to be homeless in. I'm not going to lie.
>> Is it probably that or a van? That >> I guess if he's out there if he's out there in a good city, then yeah, charging's pretty cheap.
>> They make those little mattresses for the back now. Like it's >> Man, that's actually true. Never mind.
>> That or like the the loaded up van, but I don't you can afford the van.
>> How long can a car stay just on idle cooling you with a gas stay full or a Tesla full? I don't know. I'm curious.
>> I think Tesla wins probably, right?
>> Um, recently I actually put all my money, every penny, every dollar I have, >> and I have taken it and put it into Bitcoin.
>> No, Lacy. That's the second time he's shown up on the first one. Get Do you remember what the first one was? When he lost a ton of money gambling.
>> Oh, Lacy, I don't know you, my friend. I don't know you, but well, let's we need to talk for a second cuz you got you got some toy [ __ ] going on right now. No creator's career lasts forever, friend.
We're in a very blessed position because of because well, I mean, you lovely people, but it doesn't last forever. You need to invest the vast majority of your money right now into more consistent, provable, returning assets. I'm glad he only said it. It was a bit Bitcoin, right? It was Bitcoin. But here if >> which has gone down since he's bought that, but >> what if he bought it at 100?
>> But I'm h Well, even if it was still most likely went down. But the thing is, Mr. Lacy, dude, S&P 500, get your money managed even even just No, no, no. Let's not do bonds. But like, come on. Just a indexed retirement fund. It's boring. I'm sorry.
It's not sexy. It's not as fun to talk about on stream, but I got to make you prepared for postcontent life. It is critical. It does not last forever.
Lacy, email me. I'll get you dollar-wise for life. That's the budgeting app that we have created here. It's incredible.
It's the budgeting app for the average person instead of the overly complex [ __ ] like wab and all that crazy crap that no one can even figure out how to get past the onboarding screen. So, for for most people, literally just check out Dollarise, download it, go to dollar.com, take the free trial to see if it works for you. It works for the vast majority of people. So, most people sign up for the full version afterwards and they usually take the annual version cuz it saves a [ __ ] ton of money. and you get the physical version of my 30-day meal plan signed by me mailed directly to you and the digital version of the cookbook to go with every single recipe. Check it out. Download Dollar Doll or go to dollar.com.
Yes, that's right. I have I have I'm telling y'all right now, I know things, okay? I can predict the future. I can predict the market.
And Bitcoin is going to have a boom soon.
>> Oh, >> I hope so. It would be it would be good for me.
>> Got a boom in a downward direction.
>> Listen, I'm sure Bitcoin will recover at some point. I really I I do. But I'm not banking my entire life on it. I'm not banking my entire portfolio retirement existence post creator lifestyle on it.
>> You're not selling a house to get into Bitcoin?
>> No. What the are we talking about here?
>> I either picked [ __ ] coins or the crypto market is tanking.
>> Yeah. No, the crypto market has been tanking, by the way. And you probably pick shitcoins on top of that.
>> Did you see his portfolio? Mark, can you rewind just a second so we can see how much red there is?
>> Oh, no.
>> I just want you to see how much red there was, buddy.
>> Everything is in the red.
>> Everything is in the red.
WHY?
YOU NORTHERN CALIFORNIA DUMB MOTHER GINGER.
>> I don't even know what to do with someone like you. Uh, caleb hammer.com/apply, please.
Yeah, down over 60% on my memecoin and over 30% on everything else, which means I should probably buy some more.
>> But I also have one last credit card I need to clear now. Chad GBT thinks I should pay out the credit card, but I feel like doubling down on crypto. What do YOU GUYS THINK?
>> WHY IS HE IN CREDIT CARDS? He has no overhead, this guy. Why is he in credit card?
>> The credit card had hit a $3,500 balance, buddy.
>> Oh, >> the credit card had hit a $3,500 balance. had one last. So, he's had more.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> What the [ __ ] been doing?
>> His portfolio's listen uh I will give him a bit of credit if he was doing this insane lifestyle to pay off all this debt. If that's what he meant by financial freedom. But what's this dumb crypto memecoin [ __ ] he's doing while having a $3500 balance on a 30% credit card of death?
Let's be honest, the cost of living right now is absolutely insane. But if you are out here leaning on credit cards just to buy your groceries and fill up your gas tank, you are literally paying a 20% survival tax and highinterest debt just to exist. Look, if you're a homeowner, my friends at American Financing actually have a way to get you out of this BS. They are helping people tap into their home equity to pay off high interest debt. American Financing is saving their customers an average of $800 a month. That is a muchneeded financial reset. There are zero upfront fees to find out what you could save.
And you're talking to a salarybased mortgage consultant, meaning they aren't some pushy salesperson. They actually want to help. And if you start today, you may delay two mortgage payments.
American Financing, America's home for home loans, and get your life together today. 866574-2500.
That's 866-574-2500 or americanfancing.net/hammer.
Well, guys, I'm the goat. I just turned $8,000 into $300 in 4 days.
>> OH, >> $8,000 to $34 days.
>> So, he got dumped.
>> Uh yeah, he got dumped hard, dude. But but everyone buying at these peaks. How how I wonder how many times he got dumped in those four days to lose 8,000.
I'm I'm assuming he was smart enough to maybe do some different coins.
>> And the crazy thing is at that point, I guess I would just hold Yeah, it's like at that point, what the [ __ ] >> What What's the difference between losing an extra $200 at that point?
Like, it really is like you might as well hold out and hope for something.
But that's such a bad mindset cuz that's what's keeping these people in such a position. Let's go gambling.
>> A dang it.
>> I'm quitting this challenge. I tried to turn $1,000 into $10,000 in 30 days. I give up a,000. Listen, just consider this a tax.
>> Yes. You did the You got taxed for it.
Own it. Move on. You learned. Invest in a well diversified portfolio. Don't chase a quick win. Quick wins are quick losers. Stop, please. Yo, so story time on how I lost 120K on crypto. Boom.
About 6 months ago, yo, I was heavily invested on crypto. I was on that [ __ ] all day, every day. Just sucked into the charts. Just like this little addict.
You know what I'm saying? And I was so caught up. Next thing you know, Trump [ __ ] starts going mad with these tariffs and that and literally I lose like 120.
>> And it was a tough pill to swallow. Like £120,000.
Like you can do so much stuff with that.
>> Yeah.
>> What is in Europe?
>> What is 120 lb? That's probably 130.
135.
>> Without fail, the Brits will always find a way to be poor.
>> And we're filming.
>> It just evaporated. You know what I is just in thin air gone. Oh, like I was in a dark place for like a good 2 to 3 weeks. You know what I'm saying? I really had to pick myself up. It's probably one of the probably one of the hardest most challenging things I've done in my life really so far. It's a L, you know? It's a big L.
>> It's a big L.
>> Anyways, after that, I was just like, yo, I need to like I need to get my head into something. I need to just concentrate. And obviously, I had my jewelry brand, which like I wasn't really doing much with.
>> So, I was like, yo, that's it. I'm investing all my time. the same stuff I was doing over there on the crypto. I'm going to invest into the jewelry brand.
I'm going to get it popping, man. Like, that doesn't sound like a brand if you haven't done [ __ ] with it.
>> Uh yeah. So, we're going to go from crypto to startup.
>> A jewelry startup. Like, no one else has done that. Like, not every kiosk in the mall is doing that.
>> You know who dominates that business?
The Indians and the Peters.
>> Unfortunately, sir, you're behind the curl.
>> He has a little bit of Carlson. He does, but not enough to make him.
>> Obviously, 6 months down the line, we grew. We grew so much. Cold world, check it out. If you've not checked it out, go check it out. But yo, >> now >> without that happening, >> this would have never happened. It's going to be way greater than anything I'll ever achieve doing crypto. This just be a lesson to anyone out there.
Like, yo, if you're going through something, yo, you're going through you're taking a big loss or like it can be anything cuz you're not ready to have it yet. You know what I'm saying? And and so you got to take a few more losses, man.
>> And sometimes you got to take a loss to realize what you had.
>> Yo, keep your head up, man. Like, for sure, >> we're all going to the top, >> sir. You should down and applications.
>> You should put your head down and grind on applications.
>> The thing is, this guy didn't have to take the loss. Like, I understand. Okay, put a little bit in risk, but dude, consistent, provable investments. You didn't actually have to take the loss.
He's saying you have to. No, you No, you don't. and 120,000 I think at you know at what point are you losing and you go oh I should probably maybe liquidate some of this so that I can quit losing >> that's lifechanging money $120,000 you can do so much with that >> that'sing crazy that's a massive down payment on a house that's a great influx to a investment portfolio it's like paid for multiple cars dude it's just like I don't understand what we're doing and you didn't have to if you just normal sound investment with a little percentage of it being towards something riskier like that.
Bro, how else how else do you sell? Right. It boomed.
>> Yeah, that's about when you would probably be looking.
>> Yo, it's climbing. Sell >> 70. When I opened it, it was like 59,000. Sell.
>> SELL.
BUDDY. That was his like we care easy there. They already think >> that was it did this. It did this. We made a Jew joke earlier. They already think we're bad.
>> I know it did. No, it wasn't a joke.
They do own the Diamond District in New York is fully Jewish. Honestly, I have full respect for it. It's fully Jewish.
They're hustlers. Dude, if if I want to get jewelry, I'm sorry. It's from the Jews.
>> Fair is the stone.
>> If I was known for being rich, I would love that [ __ ] Absolutely.
>> That's amazing. Unfortunately, the native part of me are just known for being alcoholics.
>> That is true, >> bro. No, no, no. I feel like he's going to dump as soon as I buy.
>> Oh, no.
>> 71,000.
>> Oh, YOU BUDDY.
BUDDY.
BUDDY.
>> And that's what happens, buddy. That's what happens, >> buddy. That [ __ ] went But he didn't buy, it sounds like. But that's an example of what could have happened if he did.
>> He was about to.
>> He was about to. I'm so glad he didn't.
That's like the one pump and dumper ever in the history of forever who got lucky.
>> He did.
>> He was probably a half a second away.
That's insane. [ __ ] Oh no.
OH, SOMEBODY got screwed. Some people got screwed. out to this scammer.
>> In front of your eyes, Chad. Imagine I bought right there.
>> You wanted to.
>> Crazy. I don't know, man.
>> Just be just be happy you didn't.
>> Basically, my husband borrowed money off the equity line on our house and put it into cryptocurrency and asked him to sell it right away. He said that he would and assured me that it would be, you know, back in the bank account by Monday or Tuesday. But he was he had the flu at the time, was not feeling great.
I don't know. I don't know if that >> dog ate his homework.
>> What? I've never What? You get on your computer, click a couple but not even that, your phone. You click a couple buttons.
>> Yeah. Uh the wife should have realized the second that the husband started making excuses.
>> You got to get yourself a woman like this. She's easy to manipulate.
>> No, I don't want a woman like that. Do you?
>> Yes, buddy. If I'm going to marry someone, she has to have 80% of a brain. He's saying this now that he has a girlfriend. I don't have a girlfriend.
>> Okay. Yeah. Got it.
>> Yeah. I don't know. But in in any case, he accidentally pressed the sell short buttons instead of the sell button apparently after like four or five days and it hadn't showed up in the bank account. I asked him about it and then he admitted to me that um he accidentally pressed the wrong button and it had all been liquidated and it's gone.
Quarter million. That's crazy.
>> Quarter million.
>> How is George not dying on camera there?
I'm listening to a call that already happened and I'm dying.
>> He's being very composed for this poor lady losing a4 million dollars. The >> Also, it is absolutely insanity to do a equity line of credit from the house without even talking to your wife. You got to get yourself a girl like this.
>> Now, this she's easy to manipulate.
>> Now, this I can get behind.
>> And where did it go? Apparently, crypto the the account just kept it.
>> Okay. So, >> I don't I don't know.
>> Well, selling short means he borrowed an asset he didn't own and he sold it at the current price and then he becomes obligated to buy it back later potentially at a higher price. So, this is just gambling in the in the you know market especially in the crypto world.
It was already speculation. So, it's like double gambling at this point on top of the infidelity that he created by doing this behind your back. So my question is, is there any way to get that money back or is it just gone for good?
>> Well, he'll be obligated to buy it back.
It's absolutely crazy. The crypto not as like I wasn't around crypto traders, but I was around stock day traders where they're buying options, they're buying puts, they're buying calls, and it is it is a crazy world. And I've seen some people make honestly life-changing [ __ ] tons of money, >> but it is such a small demographic of those that are actually able to execute.
It's like 80 85% lose money or 90%. It's something crazy.
>> I had a buddy that used to sell options.
They trade options.
>> Yeah.
>> And you never hear about them winning or you hear about them winning once and then it's >> never again.
>> The crazy thing that's really just sad to say. Maybe it's my video game. Maybe it's like I like the economic video games.
>> Yeah, >> it's fun. Buddy, trading is so much fun cuz you get in the data. You do all this stuff. I just don't allow myself to do it cuz I know this is bad for me. It's bad for my money.
>> Buddy, gambling is fun. I'm sorry. It It is.
>> Well, yeah, but I mean, this is like even more informed.
>> I know. For what? But here's the thing.
If you take gambling to an extent where you start to study like, you know, how to be a really good card counter, it's no different than learning how to be a really good day trader cuz there is data and you are having to track things more intellectual. Absolutely.
>> So, that's where it's like the crypto stuff. That's where it gets hard for me.
But, it was fun. and I would wake up, I'd get geeked, caffeinated. Like, if you or your child spent years growing up on social media and experience serious mental health struggles, you should hear this. Recently, a jury ordered Meta and YouTube to pay millions for their role in designing and promoting addictive platforms. They knew their apps could contribute to anxiety, depression, and body image issues, but did not share those risks while prioritizing profits. The recent historic verdict underscores the consequences of those decisions. Now Morgan and Morgan is stepping up to hold these platforms accountable for the harm they caused. Click the link in my bio to take a short quiz. You may be entitled to a potential recovery of over $1,000.
And so I don't think that it's gone forever and he needs to do his due diligence to figure out what he needs to do to get the money back. I don't know the ins and outs of what platform he's using and the wallet and how much money is gone. It's about $250,000.
>> Okay. You buried the lead there, Kate.
He's a he's like a degenerate gambler at that point.
>> Yeah. Basically, my um fear is like maybe his put expired. Like I I don't know what he was doing. I don't know.
>> But my fear is that she's going to kill him when he goes to bed cuz how the do you take $250,000 equity out of the house and don't >> I'm not even afraid of that. I think it's justified.
>> Yeah, but the court's not going to the court's not going to find it justified.
If he puts his entire house and family on the block to try to get rich quick with crypto, >> it's very upsetting.
>> And there's a lot he's not telling you.
I'll tell you that.
>> Yeah. I don't know what >> I'm not saying that he didn't hit a wrong button, but I'm saying that there's a few steps you have to take to do something that idiotic. I don't know what's worse. If he didn't know what he was doing or if he knew what he was doing. Both are frightening scenarios.
So, here's some questions to ask him to confirm today. Are all positions closed?
That's number one. Number two, is there any remaining margin exposure? Number three, is this 250k a realized loss?
Meaning it actually happens or is some of it still in flux? And then what exactly is owed right now? Who is the lender? What's the interest rate? What are the repayment terms? What are the risks here? And you he needs to provide you with screenshots of everything he has. And if he can't do that, I don't know that there's a lot of hope for you two.
>> Yeah. The Ramsay people won't say it, but I'll say it. Leave his ass. But the thing is, whether or not he meant to No, he did. He's someone >> He knew what he was doing. He knew what he was doing. You don't go, listen, if it's a single trade, couple hundred bucks. Okay, maybe you made a second.
You don't go through the process of getting approved for a loan, getting a appraisal done, getting money taken out on the house to put that all into a into a platform where you can trade it to be able to put it all like No, this was intentional. He's a gambler. He's a degenerate. And you will lose more money if you don't leave him now.
>> That's premeditated stupidity.
>> Shib Pepe and do Oh my You are a kid. My thing with stocks is if I hear this I put like five in towards this one stock that was supposed to go off crazy.
>> It was supposed to It was scheduled to, guys. It was scheduled. It was ready. It was like we we clocked it in. I filmed so many of these things. I I don't know.
We now we filmed this show. We film Hammer Elite shows >> as as mega fan of the show prior to working here. I don't [ __ ] remember that guy.
>> Was that before you started?
>> It had to have been. I don't remember. I think so.
>> Was it a member audit?
>> I don't know. I don't remember him.
Well, either way, he seems like a dumb [ __ ] >> Yeah. How do you mean it's scheduled to go off? It's ready to It's not how it works. We would all buy. The coin is scheduled, Caleb.
>> Every 6 months it went out 100fold.
>> That's not a schedule.
>> For the past 3 years, every 6 months it had gone up. I invested. So, I put the money in and of course, it tanked because that's my luck. And luck is made a stupid investment.
>> And then it went back up and I made my money back and some. I left a little bit in there for crypto just in case it happened to be Bitcoin 2.0 I know. And I get to be a millionaire for free.
>> Why did Kamu go down from 3,300 to 200?
>> I cashed out that and put it towards one of the cards.
>> So, you didn't actually pay off like the card from behavior based things. You got lucky on a bet that it all makes so much more sense. Of course not. You haven't made any progress really. So, there's the context of the conversation and I'm upset because he didn't do anything to actually make his progress outside of the context of being in that entire conversation. I am happy to at least hear instead of throwing it back into [ __ ] he did put it towards that. He did, but >> but without changing his behavior, he'll probably end up back in the same dead again. That's usually what we find, unfortunately.
>> All right. Me again.
>> What the not doing that again?
>> TPing on his side on the way up.
>> No.
>> Oh, wait. The dev sold. Oh, I wasn't even looking. I was watching the stream.
I was just about to say, dude, it's the same exact.
>> Why wouldn't you be looking? If it's a pump and dub, you have to be on it within a minute. First of all, why didn't he put a limit on it? Why didn't he put a fall limit on it?
>> And why is he switching tabs?
>> Yeah. Yeah. What the doing? Why Why aren't we putting limits? What What are we doing? I just What are these people doing? Is this their first time trading?
What the doing >> on YouTube? Ellie just clicked on it.
>> Yeah, I I looked on YouTube. That's what I was about to say.
>> Yeah, I thought that was the point.
>> Yeah, true.
Oh my god, bro.
[ __ ] you all with my life.
I don't understand. Why are you going into that illprepared? Why are you not putting limits on losses? Why are you not like what are we what are the doing here? What are we What are we What are we What are we doing here?
>> Before pump one, I was like actually going in and coding my own meme coins trying to rugpool people. There's no point in scheme.
>> Scheme. You never heard of Scheme?
>> Yeah. Don't act like >> it's going to be scammy though.
>> I You know what's funny?
>> Before I I It's easy to like talk down on people, right? Like, oh, that guy's just a a scam or whatever. Before I got famous.
>> Pump and dump.
>> I wanted to be rich so bad that I was in the college and a frat and one of the schemes was a literal scam.
>> Well, is this not He literally called it a pump and dump, right? He did.
>> He said pump and dump people, >> buddy. That's a entire plan that he's about to lay out to you.
>> To trying to This was before pump fun. I was like actually going in and coding my own meme coins trying to rugpool people and it cost about $1,000 in making it and liquidity and everything. Either way, I had like $20,000 in my name at the time.
>> I was so bad I couldn't get anybody to buy my scam. So, I ended up losing like $20,000 trying to scam people.
>> So, I'm not even good at it. But >> why are you trying to scam people though?
>> At the time when I was 18, I needed to be successful so bad that like ethics.
Now, of course, we've learned that there's like I've grown as a person. So, but back then, I can admit, bro, >> no, he didn't, >> dude. So, his entire plan was it was $1,000 to make facilitate the meme coin and he would lose every single time on it. So, he has lost endlessly in crypto.
>> He scammed himself.
>> He did. He did. Is that karma?
>> Honestly, w [ __ ] dev.
>> Oh, here we go.
>> W dev guy. What a guy. Restored my faith. And >> why are we switching tabs? If we >> What a Chad move. Bro just spin a band of his own money ON BOOST JUST BECAUSE HE'S ABOUT IT.
>> And it just spawned.
>> You [ __ ] [ __ ] You can't. How do you Is this the same guys before?
>> No.
>> Oh, HOW DID THEY THEY'RE ALL THE SAME LEVEL OF ART. THEY'RE ALL MORONS. WHAT?
OKAY. Why is it not at least at the very least a multimonitor setup? Most traders have a multimonitor setup so you can see everything at the moment.
>> It's the verticals, it's the horizontals, it's the verticals.
>> If you have everything on one [ __ ] thing where if you're going through Twitter tabs and all that [ __ ] like that guy was, that [ __ ] that dumbass, you wouldn't lose everything.
>> If you have $10,000 at stake, why is that not your priority? I don't understand these. If you are out there being this person, I will personally harm you at caleb.com/apply.
What is actually happening? I don't.
