When investing in Pokemon cards priced between $1 and $50, the key strategy is to identify cards that appear frequently (6 or more times) on demand lists over 18 months, as these cards have a 31% chance of significant price appreciation; investors should eliminate cards driven purely by playability and focus on those with sustained demand, as demonstrated by successful cards like the Eevee Scarlet Violet promo card (14 appearances) and Radiant Charizard (14 appearances) which have shown substantial returns.

Top 10 Cards Under $50... Hidden Gems LOADED With UpsideAdded:
What is going on all you Pokemon collecting maniacs out there? This is Ryan the Pika Pika Papa and today we're going to be hunting for gems. And by that I mean we're going to be looking at cards in the $1 to $50 price range that have been showing up on TCG players most in demand data set for the last 18 months. And I truly mean that because you know earlier this week we looked at the cards over $50. And in that video, we specifically look at the top 10 cards because we have seen because we've been doing this forever, cards that show in the top 10 with the highest degree of frequency. Those give us the highest rate of return in the long run. But when you're looking in this area of the $1 to $50 range, it doesn't matter if it's in the top 10. Doesn't matter if it shows it number one or number 99. What you're looking for is a high degree of frequency. You want it to show up on this list time and time and time again.
And so today, that's what we're going to be digging into. And I'm telling you right now, the reason I get so pumped up, like I'm literally fired up to be shooting this video for you right now, is because I know if you can get good, and I mean really, really good at identifying these $1 to $50 cards early on, you can buy multiple copies, like you can give yourself a high rate of return on them. Like, the long-term upside is absolutely through the roof.
And literally anybody can go out there and buy most of these cards. We're not talking about those $150 cards or anything like that, right? Approachable price points, huge opportunity for long-term. And we have a lot of data that's going to support some of the cards we're going to be talking about today. So, as most of you know, we have made a transition. So, all of these data sets that we're going to look at today, all of the graphs, all of the lines, all of this is available on tcgmarketpulse.com that's owned and operated by me and my team, and we have taken all of the data that we've been accumulating over the years, put it in there, used BI dashboards, and now I think we can look at these things in ways we never have before. And every single dashboard when you click on it, the first thing it's going to take you to is a methodology section because as I said earlier, remember those top 10 cards over $50, like that's what you're looking for here. We're looking for something different and we can back test everything. So remember I was talking about frequency in order to get the highest ranking that we have here in terms of our certainty of how the cards will perform. We call that conviction, right? The biggest call out is has it appeared six or more times over the last 18 months on one of these lists? Like that is the big one. And if you can find cards that match all of the parameters around there, uh when you back test it, they have a 31% chance of breaking out.
But remember, as we go through this, we're going to find cards that we can easily eliminate from that list. Some of those cards are driven by playability.
Some of those cards are names that maybe won't have that long-term opportunity.
So that's what the math tells you. You and I can use our big beautiful brains to give us much better opportunity for success here in this space. So I'm not going to read you the whole methodology tab, but I want you to understand that is very, very important. Now, next slide. What I want to talk about here is a little bit of the back testing. So on that website tcgmarketpulse.com when you go to the elite rankings tab, you can sort by the number of appearances and that is what I did.
Remember we have 18 months uh worth of top TCG player demand data in this $1 to $50 space. So if you look at that feasendipity from Shrouded Fable that has been on here literally every single month. It has been on here 18 consecutive months which is unprecedented demand. However, you and I both know I'm not investing in fees and dip for the long run. Like, I'm sorry, that's just not going to happen. So, you can strike that one from the list. Same thing if you look down there. Paradox Rift, Counter Catcher, right? A card purely driven by playability. So, that card, you can cross that off the list.
We're taking cards that fit that conviction category and we're knocking them off the list, which is improving that 31% uh opportunity for hit rate.
So, we're already making our hit rate better. But look at all of these other cards and look at the returns that have come along with them. Look at the Lucario Vstar, that Sword and Shield promo card from Crown Zenith, right?
It's up 1,1 312%. Then you go down the MUEX Scarland Violet 151, that's up 85%.
The Latios EX from Surging Sparks, that's up 94%. The Magneton, the other promo card down there, it's up 168%.
That Snorlax is up 1,700%. And that Charizard DX from 151 is up 141%. Right?
So, when you think about that, eliminate the two cards that we wouldn't invest in. All of these other ones are up significantly. So again, we're just really hammering that point home that if you can find these bigname cards featured on this list that have multiple appearances, you're going to have the opportunity to do really, really well.
Now, the next thing I want to call out is when we look at the elite rankings tab because this is where I start. I don't look at the top 10. I'm looking at elite elite rankings. I'm working my way down. I'm trying to find these cards that have been showing up multiple times. And this Eevee, the Scarlet Violet promo card, obviously it comes from the um Elite Trainer Box from Prismatic Evolutions. This is a card I've talked about a lot on this channel.
You can actually click on that card and get all kinds of really awesome insight.
So, as you can see, this thing has ranked as high as number six in terms of demand volume for those 1 to $50 uh price point cards. It has gone most recently to number 72. But I don't care, right? I don't care that it's down at 72. All I care about is the fact that this thing has appeared 14 different times. The first time it appeared on this list at a price point of $12.58.
The live price at the time of me shooting this was $15.25. That is not a big delta. The demand for this card is through the roof. It is checking all of those boxes. I don't care that it's only a $15 card right now. We have seen non-POK Center exclusive stamped promo cards from these ETBs from the big sets do really, really well over the long run, right? And as you keep looking back down, you can see all kinds of other information that you're going to be able to get here. So besides that, listen, I do got to give a pause real quick.
Listen, I am going to do my best to provide all this content to you every single month because it is truly valuable. The reality is you just can't get enough into a YouTube video. So, if you do want to check it out, we are running a 3-day free trial at tcgmarketpulse.com.
Feel free to check it out. And if that's not for you and you just enjoy the content and you're getting something out of this, hey, hitting that subscribe button, giving us a thumbs up, that goes a really long way, too. And I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. So, now we're going to start looking at some of the other cards because if you watched the grading video that I did the other day, we talked about Fantasmal Flames.
Fantasmal Flames has crept its way up the list of the most graded sets at PSA over the last couple months, and it I think it was number three when we looked at it for last month's grading volume, which is just incredible. Then you look at this card right here. I know this is not a $1, $5, $10 card. You're looking at a card which right now is sitting at $24. This Meowth, right? This is the illustration rare version from Fantasmal Flames. Like absolutely stunner of a card right here. But it's appeared six times. It has been on this list not just six times, six consecutive times. So if you want to talk about a card that just is starting to fit that six or more appearance bucket, this one is it. The character is absolutely huge. The artwork is absolutely amazing. Fantasmal Flames is turning out to be just incredible as far as I'm concerned. And so this card, I think, does have a lot of upside to it still. And if you look at where the price is now versus where it was 6 months ago, it is basically flat. It started off pretty hot. Then it worked its way back down, hit one of our famous support lines that we talked about. We now do videos on support lines, right? The support line data is all on the dashboard at tcgmarket pulse.com. And then you can see what happened from that support line. It started to take off in price, but it is still basically right where it was 6 months ago. So, the fact it's been on here six times, six consecutive times, the fact that it's basically flat versus where it was 6 months ago, plus all of that momentum that's going on in Fantasmal Flames made this one of the cards that I absolutely wanted to start off talking about. The next one, sticking with Fantasmal Flames, Wigglytuff right here, this is a card which I think could be a sleeper. Is it going to be a $100 card in the future?
Absolutely not. It's just not going to get there. But when you look at the fact that this is a $659 card right now, again, still below where it was 6 months ago. It was up over $7, but you can see the upward trajectory is real. You cannot deny it. Another one. 6 months ago, this popped on the list. It has been on here six consecutive months.
The demand for this card is through the roof. It's not being driven by anything else other than the fact that the artwork on this is ridiculously adorable. And it is the type of card which could get to that 30 $40 $50 price range given enough time. It's not going to happen in short order. It's not going to be something where you're automatically going to be able to put your kids through college if you hold on to it for the next 20 years. That's not what this card is. This card represents the opportunity to go from a $6.50 investment to a possible 20 $21 investment. So you could 3x this over the long term. So lots of again positive momentum in Fantasmal Flames. Obviously lots of demand in this card. You just can't ignore it. it is too prevalent to sleep on something like this when it's happening. Next one we're talking about is the Radiant Charizard from Crown Zenith. And I thought this was a really cool one to highlight because one of the neatest things about this is this one has been on here 14 different times.
Okay, so it has 14 different appearances here on the list, right? And interestingly enough, the last time we saw this was in December of 2025. So I thought this would be cool. Not only because, hey, listen, it's been featured 14 different times. This card has obviously got a ton of, I don't know, just organic growth around it because Crown Zenith is doing so well.
Obviously, Charizard, the Fire Lizard, is the king of all Pokemon collecting and investing, but when you think about it, go back to December of 2025 when we last saw this card featured on this list. So, December's data set would have come out in January. So, if you look at that right there, look at the growth that has happened. So, even though it hasn't been featured on this list since then, because the demand was stacked so heavily in the beginning, literally the first 14 times we got this data set, this Radiant Charizard was featured on there. Look at the growth that has happened past that. Even though it's not in the top 100 in terms of demand anymore, it is still seeing an accelerated rate of price appreciation.
So, this is a really cool card. And I'm going to be honest with you, coming in at sub $1,400, it's the final set from the Sword and Shield era. It is the final set that had these awesome yellow borders. Crown Zenith is doing all kinds of awesome things. It's going to continue to do great in the future. Even though the streak is at zero and it hasn't been featured at all in 2026, still think this is a fantastic card and I'm still a big believer in it. I think this has definitely $20 plus opportunity ahead if not more. So, a very cool card with a huge huge track record of really big demand. Next one, we're sticking with Charizard here. I think this is another cool one. So, this is from Palan Fates. Talk about a specialty set that is absolutely crushing it right now. And look at what this card has done over the last year. This card is up 86.57%.
Now, it started at $3. So, I mean, we're not talking about huge in terms of dollar growth, but don't ignore the percentages. Those are very, very important, too. This one has been featured 11 different times. 11 of the possible 18 times this card has been featured on the list. So, even though it's a sub$6 card right now, the demand for it is through the roof. Obviously, Charizard, super cool card. Obviously, a lot of people uh you know, are in love with Palan Fate. So, again, a lot of really neat stuff going on. So, a card again, which maybe wouldn't have been on my radar if it wasn't for me hunting and perusing through that elite rankings tab. So, big big fan of this card. Think this one has a really cool upside. And again, Palan Fates is just crushing the game. So, it's hard to ignore any card that's coming from that set right now.
Now, speaking of cards and sets that are hard to ignore, we're going to jump into celebrations right now because listen, celebrations, obviously the 25th anniversary set is about to get a shot in the arm with all of this awesome 30th anniversary stuff uh that is on the horizon and we've already started to see a lot of movement in the celebration space. But don't sleep on some of these awesome cards like this Flying Pikachu VMAX right here. The artwork is obviously amazing. This is just a really cool card. People are going to love it.
And the demand has been second to none.
Look at this thing. This card has been featured not only 14 times, but 14 consecutive months in a row. And we only have 18 months of data, but 14 for 14 in the last data sets that we've had. This card has been featured in the top 100 in terms of demand on TCG Player in those cards in that $1 to $50 price point. And when you look at where the price is today, sure it's up about 171% uh over where it's been over the last year, but it is still a sub$8 card. And don't get me wrong, I collected throughout the celebrations era. I have tons and tons of celebrations. They were easy to get your hands on. It seems like they printed it into the moon. But this is a traditional set which I think is going to do really well. It's going to get a shot in the arm in the 30th anniversary. When the 35th comes around, it'll get another.
When the 40th comes around, it's going to get another. is just really hard to bet against any type of anniversary set.
And again, when you look at this 14 for 14, this card has been in high demand.
It's not going anywhere soon. It is still sub $8. Love absolutely everything about this. Now, next ones that we're going to talk about are ones where I shared with you early on in this video.
I said, "Okay, we're going to talk about a lot of high conviction cards, cards that have been, you know, appearing on this list non-stop for a long period of time." And I said, at the end, I'm going to share with you a couple cards that aren't quite there yet. These cards only have two or three appearances and some of them haven't even been featured in the last couple months. But as far as I'm concerned, these are cards that are worth talking about. And I love that Dark Silvian V, which is a promo card from the Sword and Shield era. It's a promo card from the um an Celebration set, excuse me. Everything that I just got done saying about that Flying Pikachu, from the fact that it's a 25th anniversary set, plus it's a promo card, plus it has Sylveon on it. Plus, it's a dark variant. Like I love everything about this card. And if you look at the price right now, the thing is sub $9 coming in at $8.84.
Now, this card has been featured three different times on this list. Remember, you start to see that high conviction rating once it gets all the way up to six. So, we're still below that. But again, if you can identify some of these cards early on, you're going to have huge opportunity for upside. And look at how high that card has gotten in the past. This has been an $18 card at one point. Now, it was a very brief moment in time when it got up to $18, but there was plenty of sales on the way up and plenty of sales on the way down. So, this card has seen a lot of buying and selling uh you know, opportunity there in the teens uh price point. So, love this card. Love the fact that it's well below its all-time high. And again, all of those things combined for a really cool card. The other thing I like is again another stamped promo card is that Pikachu from Pokemon Day 2026.
Absolutely love it. That graph on the TCG side is up in the upper right hand corner. You can see another one which is at the $8 price point. The thing I like about this is this thing is starting to get hot. It has been on here three consecutive months. Obviously, it hasn't been out that long to begin with, but to see that amount of demand, that amount of interest in it. Barely over that one-year high. It started off high, dropped down low, then it's working its way back up. Looks like it's starting to teeter and flatten out just a little bit. But anything, you know, 25th anniversary stamp, a Pokemon day stamp on it, like those things can go a long way in driving long-term demand. And plus, you got Pikachu on there. Really hard to go against that. And the other one, speaking of Pikachu, uh you know, I really like that stamp or excuse me, it's not the stamped version, the regular promo card uh from the ETB from PALA evolved. I love that set as a whole. This card is just absolutely phenomenal. We have seen time and time again whenever you have Pikachu and multiple other Pokemon cards featured on a single card, it has a tendency to do really, really well. Plus, that set as a whole is going to be awesome. The regular ETBs are doing well. The Pokemon Center exclusive ETBs are through the freaking roof. Now, another card which has been on here two separate times, so not a ton yet, but again, when you look at where the price is right now, it's at $24. I continue to say this. We have seen so many of the non-stamped variants of those uh cards that come in the ETB perform really well. And I think as those uh Pokemon Center exclusive ETBs start to climb higher and higher and higher, I think the regular variants are going to go higher and higher. And I think cards like this are going to start to see a bit of that halo effect as terms of price appreciation. So these are three of the cards I wanted to highlight that I'm absolutely in love with. They haven't hit that high number of appearances yet, but I think have a strong opportunity for big appreciation in the future. The final thing that we're going to talk about is just another tab on that dashboard that we have at tcgmarketpulse.com.
Uh, and this is the rank velocity. And the thing I like about this tab is this does tell you month over month which cards are shooting up in terms of overall demand on tcg player. This has proven in the past to be a fantastic indicator of cards that have the opportunity to possibly see some price acceleration, right? Because we all know what drives price increases. It's going to be demand. And this is the best way to show you which cards in that $1 to $50 price point in terms of demand have been accelerating the most over the last 30 days. So, you know, you got a perfect order card up there. That's to be expected. Perfect order brand new set. I like that mega gardavore though, right?
That mega evolution series promo card in there. That one's up 41 spots. The Lucario again coming from the regular elite trainer box in Crown Zenith up 27 spots month overmonth. That mega Charizard Yex from Ascended Heroes. I love everything Ascended Heroes. Then again, you have the Mega Lucario EX down there. Uh the other Mega Evolution promo up 19 spots. So again, these are cards which maybe don't have the conviction yet, but month overmonth have been getting a ton of attention and they've been climbing the ranks. Listen, this is a ton of fun. I love these new views we have. I love the new insights. I love the data driven approach. We've always been data driven, but I feel like now we've kind of taken it to the end level.
So really excited. The dashboards are always improving. I'm working hard behind the scenes to make them better and better for you every single day and bring you more. So, if you want to check it out, like I said, we have a 3-day free trial at tcgmarketpulse.com.
If that's not your thing, no worries.
I'm always going to try and bring you the very best content that I can. And a thumbs up and a subscribe goes a long way in helping my small channel out. So, with that out of the way, listen, I can't tell you how much I appreciate you watching. I hope you have an epic rest of the day, and I can't wait to talk to you again soon. You guys have a great one. See you. Bye.
