She Thought She Was DATING K-POP STARS… It Was 20 NIGERIAN SCAMMERSAdded:
And we got some uh hundo cresento pure young coconut water. I don't know. That just sounds weird with all the CP drama coming out from everybody. Pure young.
It just sounds so weird. But boom. We have some underage coconut water. You know some people hate coconut water, but not me. If you know me, you know I love coconut water, man. Hold up, though. I got to got to use the pot here real quick.
>> All right. What's going on, guys? Hope you guys been well today. So, you guys probably already read the title. I randomly bumped into this topic on a random reel over in IG. There's a clip short from a channel on YouTube called Catfish. And uh basically, this 40-year-old woman from Nowhere Michigan named Fauna truly believes that she's out here dating and talking to multiple K-pop stars. Multiple multiple >> from Stray Kid to BTS. I was thinking I was talking to Felix. Um he's the one most popular members of Stray Kid.
>> How? Hold on, bro.
How?
>> And I'm reading the IG comments. Truth be told, I'm cracking up. You guys know how it is over in IG.
>> Just a bunch of savages. Which to be fair, you know, if we're being honest, there's a 0% chance FA is out here dating multiple K-pop stars. Not none.
No. And I'm not even talking about from like an attraction standpoint. I'm strictly talking about how these K-pop idols and the business is all set up.
Like, they're literally propped up as product. Literal products for the mass consumption. Like, if you guys didn't know, in the K-pop industry, there's a strong industry pressure to not date.
Hell, these guys can't even be seen lurking at a woman. They they can't even be caught staring cuz the fans are really that crazy. And a lot of it simply has to do with the fact that the K-pop business model is a parasocial relationship with the fans. Like, the fans are supposed to feel this deep personal bond with their idols and just the illusion and the fantasies of these idols being emotionally available is what drives a lot of this cultlike following. And of course, the massive industry pressure to keep that illusion alive that even something as natural to the human experience as a relationship shatters that illusion. Have a good night.
>> Thank you, Coy.
>> I got to give my husband know we got to do it.
>> Thank you so much.
>> What's a season?
Not at all. Not at all.
>> Like a lot of the songs we make aren't romantic at all. You know, it just kind of led to late night calls. I don't know. No one was calling this stuff.
>> And we're not even talking about like the agency contracts or the group dynamics. Like it's just not you.
There's like four, five, six other dudes. Like if somebody decides to step out and be selfish, you could literally drag the whole group down. We're talking about ruining multiple generational wealth for multiple families. Who's risking that? Not me.
>> I'm lying. Facts.
>> I say all of that to say there's no way in hellio these K-pop stars are just randomly hitting up random women from nowhere USA on some, "Hey, what's good cutie?" Come on, be real. So, when I first saw this real, I'm thinking to myself, like, no way did somebody fall for this. Like, no way. So, I just had to search up the video. Might as well make a video. And uh boom, here we is.
>> This woman wants to know the truth about her internet boyfriend. He does a rapping, vocals, dancing, muscular, very romantic, and I like the attention.
>> There was just one problem.
>> He has a reputation of being a bad boy.
>> I don't know. I found that part so funny.
>> He has a reputation of being a bad boy.
>> Being a bad boy.
>> Be a bad boy. I'm going to be a bad boy.
I got to be a bad boy.
>> I don't know. I just found that part so funny. Now, I'm watching the episode, right? I'm I'm going be honest. This whole story about how she got in touch with Jackson Wing from the group God 7 was uh >> one day while scrolling through Tik Tok, she came across a musician's profile that would change her life forever.
>> His name is Jackson Wing and I came across his profile on Tik Tok. They reached out to me somehow >> and I'm thinking about like there's no way, you know, he's reaching out from his main profile. How do you not know the profile you're looking at and this profile is not the same? It really made no sense. But, you know, my ball knowledge is telling me that she probably made a couple comments, maybe liked a couple reels, maybe even reposted a couple. And you know, these scammers are efficient. You know, they see something like that, they're like, "Oh, logged in. Got another victim. This one's head over heels for Jackson Wayne." Made a fake Jackson Wayne profile and then reached out to her on a different social media platform. You know, something like Facebook. And swoop, there she goes. He does rapping, vocals, dancing. He has his own studio, even skin complexion, muscular. He's got a few tattoos here and there, too. Being a bad boy.
>> Fauna felt she had met the man of her dream. And as their love grew, they would speak nearly every single day.
>> It's almost like your mind has an automatic BS sensor. Just visually looking at this screen, your mind's automatically telling you like, this don't even add up. Like that pattern recognition 1 plus 1 equals 2 is like, this don't even make sense. The math ain't mouthing.
>> THAT MAKES NO [ __ ] SENSE. AND ACCORDING TO FONER, you know, they're chatting on WhatsApp or they, you know, he's sending her quote unquote photos, but really they're just public photo shoots that are taken right off Google.
Like, I don't know why she didn't question that. He's love bombing her.
How you sleep, princess? Did you eat?
How are you feeling today?
>> How did you sleep? Did you eat? How's your health? How's the weather? How's your day going? Very romantic and very sweet. You're looking very beautiful today. Thank you for coming into my life. Now, I could be wrong here, but I think deep down she most likely knows she's not talking to Jackson Wang. But just like the K-pop parasocial dynamic, you know, just the illusion of the possibility, the slightest possibility that it could be, it's enough to keep her high off the attention.
>> He just said it. Um, I love you this morning. I like the attention. When I'm awake, he's sleeping, so it's really We don't really have much of a time to talk. He sends me pictures and we talked on the phone, but he would not video.
But here's the [ __ ] it this up part. Is that even a word? [ __ ] it. [ __ ] [ __ ] it this. The [ __ ] it this up part is whoever this scammer is is leveraging the K-pop parasocial relationship ball knowledge as an excuse to why they can't make video calls or it's going to be crazy impossible to come see her.
Almost crazy impossible.
>> As time went by and their love grew, Fauna and Jackson began to discuss starting a life together and even getting married. Now that Jackson and Fauna decided to get married, it was time for Jackson to come home so they could plan their wedding.
>> Now, according to Fauna here, you know, as they're talking over time, you know, they're starting to get into these fantasy talks of starting a life together, sneaking out to come see her.
>> So, the once impossible I can't see you is now possible for a small fee of $4,000.
>> A little over 4 grand. What the?
And I really think she's being conservative about that estimated amount cuz the way she's telling the story just felt like she spent way more.
>> I even bought us engagement rings, >> which I don't know why this channel thought it was necessary to show us the exact ring gate, the exact link. Like they're out here trying to come off very caring, empathetic, loving, but then at the same time, they're dropping these low-key shady edits. Like, whose side are you guys on?
>> So, I would send it to this lady on on PayPal, and he said, "That's not enough.
can you send me like 1,400? And so I sent him that one. He was staying at a hotel trying to sneak off to get to the airport. It's like, well, I'm going to tell your management, so can you send me money to pay them off? And that was in a sum of about 4,000.
>> So apparently Mr. Jackson Wang here is in a whole Mission Impossible movie. You know, he's out here running around the city trying to sneak off to the airport to fly and come see her. Boom. He's getting caught, blackmailed, the whole ring around the roses. And the way she's sending this money is also sketchy as hell. Like she's sending it through PayPal to some lady named Barbara, which you would think Jackson Wang, you know, he's Chinese K-pop idol, like whoever the helper is, is definitely not going to be named Barbara. And her photo is definitely not going to look like some Google stock image photo, which I didn't even realize this, but holy macaroni.
They've been doing this scam since 2014.
What the?
>> And it's so messed up to this point that they're literally giving this woman no grace. They are literally trying to drain every single penny.
>> Anna had been transferring money in and out of her account in large sums.
>> He wanted my social security number, my ID, and I got sent a fake check to my Chase bank. They would send money to my PayPal, and I was supposed to turn it to bitcoins and send it to his Bitcoin wallet. I've sent upwards about a little over 4 grand.
>> In other words, they would send her fake checks that you know would bounce and in between that time the bank takes to verify the checks which is between you know 1 to 3 days. She already thinks she has that money in the account so she's cashing her own money transferring it into Bitcoin and sending it over.
>> The check bounced and I had to pay them and I couldn't pay rent that month. It left me with nothing.
>> And the old time Mr. Jackson Wang is still texting her like good morning princess. Have you eaten today?
Like, [ __ ] does it look like I can afford to eat?
Charming.
>> Now, the catfish crew here, you know, they did some digging. She apparently already been scammed multiple times.
>> She mentioned previously being scammed by other profiles pretending to be K-pop singers.
>> Like, whoever is scamming this poor woman out here knows she's an easy target. Like, every single K-pop star in history is in her DMs >> today.
>> Like, they probably got her name marked up as the Cash Child. Like boom. This the one boys. She's probably unawaringly feeding a whole village right now.
>> I got targeted over >> 200 >> different accounts.
>> What the?
>> So currently as the crew is speaking to her, you know, she's letting them know that she's been juggling three different dudes.
>> You're currently talking to which person?
>> He said, "Uh, do you remember me?" I was not really.
>> Who else are we creating an IP tracker for?
>> J Uso and Jackson Wang.
>> Fun. Calm down, baby girl.
>> Three total.
>> Yeah, >> stop it. Get some help.
>> And this is how I know like deep down she knows they're all scammers because how how how are you out here saying you're engaged to Jackson Wang, but you're still out here entertaining like three different dudes? Like she even got Jay Uso out here dropping scandalous photos.
>> He was feeling frisky last night.
>> So anyways, the crew decided, you know, they're going to try to IP track some of these boys. I know two of the three clicked on links last night.
>> Now, I guess there's different levels to this cuz whoever the scammer behind the account Jay Uso is, he's on a whole new level. Like, he's literally trying to break the fourth wall.
>> But the one thing Mr. Jay Uso here slipped up on was that scandalous photo cuz they were able to track that photo back to like a crop image of like an adult film star actor.
>> The person in that picture, he is an adult film actor. Okay, now I'm going to just go ahead and ask this question cuz my intrusive thoughts are winning the war here. Raise your hand if you think Fauna goed out to that photo when she received it.
>> Ah, gotcha. Wow, that's crazy. That's messed up.
>> That's messed up. How would you assume that?
>> That's messed up. Wow, that's crazy.
>> I'm going to share with you each of the results. For Darby, he clicked on it right away. And he clicked on it several times and he's located in Lagos, Nigeria.
>> Boom. caught him red-handed. Where else but Lagos, Nigeria? Now, they saved the best for last. Mr. Jackson Wang. So, she's tweaking out a bit, most likely because she probably invested the most into this dude right here.
>> So, Jackson also clicked on the link.
And >> where do you think they found this dude at >> from Lagos, Nigeria?
>> Wow.
>> Charming. I'm actually fairly surprised they didn't say, you know, coincidentally, they seem to be coming from the same IP address.
Coincidentally, right in this hut here, >> THE POLICE CANNOT STOP US.
>> THEY CANNOT STOP US.
>> POOR Fauna here, you know, she she's obviously very heartbroken by the news.
There's like this moment of silence, and I don't know if the dude here just couldn't read the room, but just out of nowhere, he's like, "Well, uh, do do you have any friends?"
>> Do you have do you have friends?
>> Like, what do you think, buddy? Captain.
>> But nonetheless, you know, I hope Fauna's out there, you know, doing a lot better these days. Hope she was able to sort everything out. You know, find some friends, find some uh real better connections. But yeah, that's pretty much all I wanted to say about this video. As always, if you enjoy this video, like, comment, subscribe, show your boy some love, and I'll see you guys in the next one. But hey, what do you want to know?
I'm just sipping baby.
I'll do your natural Do you have
