BREAKING: Caesars Bought For $17.6 BILLION! Are Vegas Hotels About to Be Sold Off?Added:
Hey, somebody must have slept real good last night and woke up in a real good mood today to be like, "You know what?
Y'all know that 17.6 billion deal we working on? Yeah, let's go ahead and make that happen. Let's go ahead and close that and uh, you know, get the ball rolling on us so we can get that locked in." I'm going to go ahead and drop 5.7 billion dollar in cash. And yes, y'all heard that correctly. B with billion, not M for millions. B for billions. The true definition of B's on the table. It's on the table.
>> If you know, you know. But if y'all haven't heard the news already, you know, I know some people have heard about it. I know reports and stuff were going around about it. I'm still getting all the details myself, but uh Tilman Fertitta, if y'all don't know who Tilman Fertitta is, he owns the Golden Nugget downtown on Fremont. Uh it was to my surprise, I didn't even know this. He owns Bubblegum Shrimp and Rainforest Cafe that's up there by the bridge by Planet Hollywood. Uh he also owns the Houston Rockets. He's a US ambassador uh for Italy and San Marino. Uh but uh yeah, he's a big- time guy. He got a lot of money and a lot of assets and um a lot of talks had already been going around for the last few years that he actually wanted to own a property on the strip. But it was like where you going to own a property at? How you going to, you know, get property on the strip?
Everybody trying to get on the strip. Uh so I guess he decided to play chess and make a power move. but he has officially taken over and bought Caesar's Entertainment um and is going to take over the entire Caesar's portfolio. So, that is going to be a 17.6 billion deal.
Um he there's going to be 5.7 billion in cash to put down and then the rest of the 11.9 will be acquired in debt. So, it'll be a crazy crazy massive deal. And I'm just sitting here trying to wrap my head around all this because it's kind of like know I've seen mixed reviews. Is this a good thing? Is this a bad thing?
And I don't know. I don't know how I feel about it because, you know, obviously the transition is taking place. You know, sometimes when you acquire properties, it could be a good thing. You know, if the right people acquire it and then sometimes it could be a bad thing. Things could be transition and it could be for the worse. Like I don't know how y'all feel about Cosmo right now. Like to me, I mean, you know, some people say Cosmo got worse. Some people say they like Cosmo to think it got better, you know, since MGM took over um from Cosmo being independent. But uh I think in a number of ways that this could be a good thing.
Um mainly because Caesar's Entertainment was a public company, you know, and a lot of the big talk that's been going around Caesars and a uh not Caesars, but Vegas with a lot of things going on is corporate greed, you know. Now, obviously, Fertitta is a businessman and he got a big company, but um I think it puts a different spin on things when it's a private owned company and not public, you know, cuz things can be ran a little bit different. Um so, the entire uh portfolio will no longer be owned by Caesars. Now, what does this mean for us? Um I've talked to a couple people offline about it. First thing I'mma say is please don't touch Planet Hollywood. Leave Planet Hollywood alone.
Okay? Hey, I know there's rumors that maybe some of these uh hotels might get sold off since now it's going to be owned by a private company. So, that could open the door for more independent properties on the strip, which I mean from a competitive standpoint could be cool. We like competition. You know, Venetian, y'all know probably the biggest sleeper independent company on the strip. You know, you got Treasure Island that's independent. Hard Rock is in the process of being uh finished and they going to be independent. So, I like competition. We all like competition.
that adds a little spice, a little paprika to Vegas. Uh, but for my Diamond Gang people, shout out to my Diamond Gang. You don't really know. Um, I don't know what this mean. And there had already been whispers about, you know, the potential of resort fees. Y'all know once you get a diamond, your resort fees is waved. But there has been whispers and talks that maybe that could get put to Diamond Plus. And I'm like, we don't want that kind of juju out here. You know what I mean? Don't be putting that juju on people. Um but we're gonna have to wait and see. I know because um the Fertitta family known around the town like uh Tilman's cousins, they own the station casinos. So like Red Rock and Durango, Boulder Station, Palace Station, um that network of casinos, those are actually owned by his cousins.
So you know, the family tapped into Vegas like they known in Vegas. But this is just a power move like to grab, you know, the second monopoly on the strip cuz obviously MGM's the biggest. But to have ownership of the second monopoly is going to be crazy to see because you know in a weird way I kind of feel like some of these properties now that they truly not going to be owned by Caesars and it's going to be owned by a privately independent company. Some of these hotels might get put up for sale.
But just look at Vanderpump. You know what I mean? I think Vanderpump just kicked off opening this past weekend.
You know that was a partner with the Caesar's portfolio. But if you wanted to go ahead and let her branch off independent, that going to be your first independent property right there. So, man, this going to be crazy. It's going to be crazy. You know, we all been watching the transition of Vegas. I've been telling y'all for the last year that Vegas is just transforming before our eyes. It went from being the gambling, the uh fun party city to now it's becoming the sports and entertainment mecca, you know, with the sphere. They about to have a NBA team in a couple years. The baseball stadium is in the works. Like it's crazy a crazy time to really see this transformation of Vegas. But uh for my Caesars people, man, I don't know how to feel. I'm not going to lie to y'all. I'm just like leave Planet Hollywood alone. And that's kind of my little concern like what you going to do with Planet Hollywood knowing that he own Bubblegums and Rainforest Cafe. You know, that's the hidden gem on the strip. I've talked about Horseshoe. between Planet Hollywood and Horseshoe, like two major gyms on the strip. As far as Horseshoe, you got affordable pricing, but you get some of the biggest base rooms of any property on the strip that's not a suite. And then Planet Hollywood, same thing. You get real good pricing, and then the amenities in the base room are just better than a lot of the stuff you get at some of the luxury hotels. So, two of them hotels in this portfolio that Mr. uh uh Fertitta have, I don't know, man. Just please leave them alone, okay? Like if you want to offshore something, go ahead, you know, let the get the link go. Sell that as a bundle property. Get the link link prominade.
Y'all know the flamingo. And to be honest with you, um I don't think many of the properties need too much renovations. I think from a business perspective, it was a genius move. I mean, if you got 17.6 billion to just be like, let's do it. You know what I mean?
I mean, money ain't a thing to you for real. Uh but in the serious aspect, I think it's a great business move when you got the capital cuz a lot of people want to be on the strip. Um, and if you look at the properties, like we can go, let's go through each one. Like Caesar's Palace, that's going to be the only luxury hotel portfolio. And they renovated a coliseum tower. So, you know, that coliseum tower has been updated. Updated. The um Julius Tower was I think updated like 18, 19. And that one's still in pretty good condition. The Octavia Tower probably needs some work next. And then the Augustus Tower, y'all know that's my favorite tower. Caesars. Like it's easy access right there by the diamond lounge. ma major space in those rooms and stuff. Those probably could do a touchup, use some type of touch-up work, too, but I think they straight. You know, some people agree or disagree.
Y'all can let me know how y'all feel about the Augustus Tower. Um, but that's going to be your luxury portfolio would be smart in my opinion to keep that. Um, now once you go over to Planet of Hollywood, Planet Hollywood good. They done updated glass bar. The rooms is cool. I mean, I guess if you wanted to update those rooms, they could probably use a refresh to a degree, but for the most part, they still good. Uh Paris just updated and added the Versail tower, you know, so that might be a money maker, too. But then once you get on over there to uh Flamingo, Flamingo, we know them go rooms need to go. Um but they have done a lot of work. They've renovated the gold pool. They've renovated um or added uh Cabana or Havana, the uh Cuban restaurant, and then they just added Bobby's Burgers, you know, and they're doing some work on the casino floor now. So like they're trying to do some improvements, and I wonder if this is why they was actually doing these improvements. I've been wondering what's going on with Flamingo.
They got rid of uh the spot on the casino floor. I'm drawing a blank right now. Uh but they got rid of uh was it Charlie's? They got rid of Charlie's and um they doing some work over there by the lobby. And I just been like, what's Flamingo doing? Y'all renovate the gold pool. Y'all got Bobby's Burgers here.
Y'all put this new restaurant here. They got a speak easy in there. I'm like, they trying to improve, you know? I give kudos to that. But the rooms is the most important. Like that's where people going to be at. Y'all got to fix those rooms. And so now that this transition done took place, I'm like, this somebody knows something that we didn't know. I'm like, h um but if they fix the rooms at Flamingo, they'll be all right. Flamingo be cool. Uh the link, they call them the cruise ship room. Y'all know we always call the rooms at the link the cruise ship room. So, um I guess you could really in essence if you wanted to make if somebody wanted to buy a property, uh that would probably be a real good one to be honest cuz you get the hotel and you get the prominade even you know cuz the link the prominade is technically link prominade even though it's connected to flamingo. So that might be a good one if somebody were to want to acquire a property out of their portfolio because of what you get with that. Uh and then Lord knows maybe they can make them rooms bigger cuz them rooms crazy small. Uh, Harris is another sleeper. You know, like a lot of the gyms that I talk about on this channel, y'all know I seem to be one of the biggest Caesars's advocates. So, for me, I'm really kind of like, man, it's going to be crazy cuz a lot of my properties I like to stay at on the Caesar side, it could be up as hell. If it's on the low, like that's crazy. I'm not going to lie.
This is crazy. Uh, Harris is definitely a sleeper. Um, I would think that would be one of the budget ones you want to keep. Like I think between Harris and Flamingo, well Harris and Link because they was already trying to sell Flamingo for a billion, but ain't nobody want to pay a billion dollars for a Flamingo.
I'm pretty sure they probably if they was going to want to try to sell one, I guess. Maybe try to sell Flamingo again.
Maybe not for a billion. I don't know.
But you think you want to keep Harrison Link like your budget hotels cuz you could technically push horseshoes budget pricing and I hope they keep it in budget pricing. Please don't change the budget pricing. Please don't touch horseshoe. Horseshoe alone. Like Horseshoe is just good like it is. Don't do nothing to Horseshoe. Like Horseshoe and Planet Hollywood the ones like leave them alone. Please don't do nothing to them. Um them could be the ones you that'll be like your budget/affordable with Horseshoe cuz you got everything right there in the Grand Bazaar shops.
Again, the rooms is spacious and then you know it's easy in-n-out access. You can get right through uh Paris or if people need to get off somewhere the ride share right there on the side. It's it's very very convenient to stay at Horseshoe. you know, it's a gym I've been telling people a lot. So, that could be your budget/nock to going up to affordable um tier hotel and then y'all know about Planet Hollywood. So, yeah, I just wanted to drop a quick video because I wanted to share my thoughts on it. I don't truly know how to feel. It's kind of like wild to know like this really happened cuz 17.6 is crazy. When I seen 17.6, I was like damn boy. 17.6.
Who in a recession?
What? War hoop.
Some folk ain't even worried about it.
They they waking up like we f to just go ahead and buy stuff. You know what I mean? We ain't worried about nothing.
But y'all tell me how y'all feel about it, man. Y'all share your thoughts. What do y'all think about this uh acquisition from uh Mr. Tilman Fertitta. Um it's clearly a power move. Like I know I was saying it earlier in the streams through the year and um we've been talking about it over the last year like it's a new this a new uh age of Vegas, man. Like we watching it in real time. Like think about it. Let's say he do decide he want to sell some of these properties. Which y'all which Caesar's properties do y'all think he should sell if he was going to make them independent? I think Vanderpump about to mess around and be independent. I already had a feeling when Vanderpump acquired Cromwell that she was somehow someway going to break off and that was going to be her own. So that really might be the first one even though they were supposed to have a partner. But now that Caesar is being bought out, I think she about to that's going to be the first independent one.
Are the locals finally gonna get free parking? Because uh shout out to Rais in Vegas. Heather been trying to get free parking. And with the family having mad local love, some of the Caesar's properties might get free parking. So, it could be a good thing on that aspect.
And one last thing before I get up out here that I did want to touch on that I saw from uh Vegas policy. Shout out to Vegas policy. I was watching him talk about this cuz he don't seem to be a big fan of it at all. But he did make a good point and I'm like, "Please don't do this. Uh Mr. Fertitta, please don't do this." Okay. At Golden Nugget, cuz this one reason I don't gamble at Golden Nugget. And um I thought it was weird and now that he brought it up, I'm like, "Please don't do this." But if you play blackjack down at uh Golden Nugget, the minimums would be $10, but you got to do a mandatory $2 Annie, right? So, you know how like you can do the progressive for extra $5 if you want to try to hit the bonus? Like, it's mandatory at Golden Nugget. That's just a mandatory thing. So when he mentioned that and was like, "Is that going to come to the strip?" Please don't do that. Okay, that's the only thing I want to say when he was talking about it. I said, "That's a real good point. Please don't bring that any extra nonsense to the strip.
Leave the casinos as they are. Caesar's 25 minimums. It's the high prestige hotel. It should be. You can get $15 minimums at all the other properties."
Like, leave it like that. Okay? Do that for us players. At least the bare minimum. Okay? That's the least we can ask for. keep the gambling affordable for us and we ain't gonna go nowhere.
You know what I'm saying? To be honest, leave uh if you want to change it uh the rewards program or whatever, I don't care what you call it. Just keep the perks the same. You know what I'm saying? Rename it. Keep the perks the same and we'll be straight. But that's going to do it for this video, man. Uh hopefully everything work out for all of us cuz this is uh major news. I'm not going to lie. I'm still trying to digest all of this. You know what I mean? like this was a freestyle video cuz I have no idea uh what we about to be walking ourselves into. You know, the fact that Vanderpump just opened and now boom, we got the entire portfolio purchase and might be crazy times by the end of 2026 get here. But uh yeah, I'll let y'all in next video, man. Crazy crazy crazy.
