In Luke 6, Jesus teaches that true Christianity involves living differently by embracing kingdom values that reverse worldly standards—blessing the poor, loving enemies, forgiving without limit, and showing mercy as God does. The chapter emphasizes that calling God 'Lord' without obeying His word is meaningless, as doers are greater than hearers. Jesus demonstrates that He is the Lord of the Sabbath, prioritizing people over religious rituals, and teaches that our actions reveal our hearts, making obedience to God's word the foundation of a transformed life.

Hello.
Hallelujah. Praise the Lord.
Such a joy to see you all once again.
There is joy in the presence of Lord, isn't it?
Whatever be the summer or heat outside, I think there is joy in the soul, isn't it?
>> [laughter] >> I experienced that and I thank God for that joy, for that happiness. Yeah.
Like what Job says, "You bring a laughter on my face."
Right?
You, oh Lord, bring a laughter on my face.
We may be going through so many things in our life, but still it is his presence that fills us with joy, isn't it? Glory be to God.

>> [snorts] >> So, in today's Bible study, we will be meditating on Luke chapter 6.
Luke chapter 6, a powerful chapter where Jesus Christ teaches the principles of the kingdom of God through what is often called, you know, the Sermon on the Plain.
Not that plane, okay.
Luke 6 challenges our thinking, our behavior, and our attitude towards others.
Jesus begins by declaring blessings that go against the world's standards.
Yeah, I repeat it, against the world's standard. But he says us, "Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God."
Poor in any way.
Lord, I am poor. I don't have money.
Lord, I'm not handsome. I'm not beautiful. I'm ugly.
Lord, I'm a muddu.
I'm a dumb person. I don't know anything.
I don't know anything.
One of the beauty uh with God is that when you empty yourself, he will fill you.
I read, you know, a book called 48 Laws of Power. In that, the first rule is never outshine the master.
The very first rule.
So, when you tell the master, one of the names of God is Adonai.
Adonai means master, Lord.
>> [snorts] >> So, when you tell the master, "I'm nothing.
I'm empty.
I believe in your word.
Without you, I cannot do anything and apart from you, I can do nothing."
Yeah? John 15 verses 5 and 9.
When you tell that, the God will keep our God will keep his word. Let the poor say, "I am rich."
Your own mouth will testify before world that you are rich, but to God, you are always poor.
We should never feel that, you know, we are rich or we are strong.
We are great. We are handsome, you know, you're rich, wealthy, influential.
Without him, nothing.
Nothing exists in our life, at least in my life.
Nothing.
So, in God's kingdom, values are reversed.
Values are reversed. The poor are blessed.
The hungry are satisfied.
Those who weep will laugh.
So, this chapter also contains, you know, one of the most challenging teachings of Jesus.
>> [laughter] >> Love your enemies.
>> [laughter] >> And do good to those who hate you.
Very tough.
Very tough.
Luke 6 teaches us that true Christianity is not just about believing, it's about living differently.
Now, Jesus calls us to forgive instead of revenge. Now, forgiveness is not fellowship, my dear friends.
You may forgive a person, but you can choose never to fellowship with that person.
Forgive and never fellowship.
It eases your heart.
Jesus also calls us to give instead of taking, bless instead of cursing, show mercy just as Abba Father is merciful. He is comparing us to the attribute of God.
That's why he says in verse 36 here, "Be merciful just as your father is merciful."
Our God is our father. Hallelujah.
Abba Father.
Abba Father.
Now, Jesus also warns us about the judgment.
"Do not judge and you will not be judged." And he reminds us that our actions reveal our hearts.
"For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of." Verse 45. "Out of the abundance of heart, the mouth speaks."
See, very few people will realize that they spoke something in anger.
I mean, you are cooking, you know, and your little one, you know, is like simply troubling, you know, for all unnecessary things. Now, mother may, you know, like give a tight slap.
>> [laughter] >> Cuz she has to cook the food. The husband is coming home. She has to cook. The in-laws are coming.
She has to cook the food and this fellow is like simply, you know, disturbing her.
So, ek mar di bache Now, was that uh venomous? No, it is under pressure.
Now, a good mother will always, you know, go back, you know, when she's feeding him that morsel of biryani again, she may tell him, "Sorry, Raja.
Sorry.
You know, dad is coming. In-laws are coming. Again, if I don't cook, you know, mar diya maine. I was in pressure.
Sorry."
Over a matter.
But you don't regret that guilt, then that is something wrong.
"The mouth speaks what the heart is full of." You may abuse your child also that time.
But you must make an effort to explain to that child. You may be thinking, you know, "Why I have to explain to that child?" But God is looking at your heart, not at your words. That's why he says, "It's not what goes into your mouth that makes you unclean, but what comes out of it."
Getting it?
And the person who is supposed to forgive has to forgive, not seven times, 70 times seven. Means unlimited times. But the forgiveness has to be sought by the person who has done wrong.
Now, the chapter concludes with a powerful foundation principle here.
"Why do you call me Lord, Lord and do not do what I say?" Wonderful, no?
"Daddy, I love you.
Mommy, I love you."
>> [laughter] >> But you don't do what they ask you to do, that's not love.
Are you getting it? That's not love.
The wise man builds his life on obedience to the word of God.
Like a house built on a strong foundation that cannot be shaken.
And Luke 6 reminds us that following Jesus Christ is not about hearing the word of God itself, but it is doing the word of God.
Doers are greater than hearers. Yes, brother, faith comes by hearing, hearing the word of God. Yes, but the reward is for doing.
See, getting a job in a company is not important.
Are you doing the job in that company is important. Are you getting it?
So, similarly, getting saved through the blood of Jesus and all, I have eternal life and all.
Okay, cool.
Praise God. Now, there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Yes, all perfect.
But what are you doing?
What are you doing?
How much ever we do, brother, you know, our boss is never happy. My kids are never happy. My husband is never happy.
You are unknowingly portraying the character of that wicked servant in Matthew 25.
"How much ever I do, you will never be happy, you know," says the wicked servant. His boss, he wants you to multiply. How much more our boss?
Boss gave only one talent. That one talent he hid in the ground. He did not multiply. The talent was still there.
And the boss got upset and he says, you know, "Throw this wicked servant, you know, into fire and all." How much more our Adonai, King of kings and Lord of lords, who has deposited his Holy Spirit within us and is not asking for a return on that investment? And what is the return on investment? To live a holy life, to live a righteous life as much as you can, to share the good things about him, what he has done in your life and tell his story through your lifestyle. Is that a challenge?
Is that a challenge?
We are not here to convince anybody. We are not here to convict anybody. That's the Holy Spirit's job. But whatever things, you know, that Lord has done in your life, you can always tell people.
We see, you know, so many health tips coming in the channel, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and all. People post so many things. Are you so good at by missing it like that? Your skin rashes do this, you know, you will have good biceps. You will lose, you know, fat [snorts] that this and all. So many health drinks and all.
Why not tell about the living waters?
Why not tell about the true wine?
>> [laughter] >> May the living word of God from this book, Luke chapter 6, transform your heart, your relationships and your walk in Jesus Christ. If you have any prayer requests, please do comment us in the comment section.

>> [clears throat] >> Luke 6, okay? Luke 6.
One Sabbath Jesus was going through the grain fields and his disciples began to pick some heads of grain rubbed them in their hands and eat the kernels.
And eat the kernels.
Some of the Pharisees asked, "Why are you doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath?"
Jesus answered them, "Have you never read what David did when he and his companions were hungry?
He entered the house of God and taking the consecrated bread he ate what is lawful only for priests to eat.
And he also gave some to his companions."
Then Jesus said to him "The Son of Man is the Lord of the Sabbath."
The Son of Man is the Lord of Sabbath.
On another Sabbath he went into synagogue >> [music] >> and was teaching and a man was there whose right hand was shriveled.
The Pharisees and the teachers of the law were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus.
So they watched him closely to see if he would heal on the Sabbath.
But Jesus knew what they were thinking and said to the man with the shriveled hand "Get up and stand in front of everyone."
So he got up and stood there. Maybe he's telling you the same thing today.
Get up.
Get up.
Then Jesus said to him "I ask you, which is lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil?
To save life or to destroy it?"
He looked around at them all and then said to the man "Stretch out your hand."
He did so and his hand was completely restored.
But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law were furious and began to discuss with one another what they might do to Jesus.
Probably you can repeat after me.
Abba Father open my heart.
Open my mind.
Open my soul.
Let your word transform my life today.
Fill me with more of your Holy Spirit, oh Lord, to understand what you want to speak to me.
In Jesus' name.
Amen.
Okay.
Now >> [clears throat] >> See, Jesus shows us something powerful here.
The Son of Man is the Lord of Sabbath.
See, religion focuses on rules.
But Jesus, he's focusing on people.
Right?
See, sometimes people care more about policy than people.
Did you give tithe? Did you give offering?
Probably people may be more focused on that.
Rather than did you read the word? Did you fast? Did you pray?
Did you meditate?
I mean, more than that, maybe people are more focused on your tithes, your offerings and things like that.
But God values people over rituals.
God values people more than the rituals.
How beautiful is that? Yeah.
Let me just show you that particular scene.
What happened that day?
Let me get you here.
Yeah.
Yeah. Now Jesus heals on the Sabbath. Yeah.
Let's watch this.
Let's see what happened that
