MILA Global English ProgramAñadido:
Oh, now we have it.
>> Finally, we're live.
>> Yes.
>> Where's my coffee? You need to get one, my friend. I know.
>> Hello.
>> Hey guys.
>> So, here we are.
>> Hey guys, welcome to another live here at Milocaraton.
Today we have a special person with us, Javier. Javier is the person in charge with academic here in Bocaon and he's here to explain to us about a new program that we'd like to introduce to you guys about how it works. But first, Javier, can you introduce yourself to us and explain what you do here in >> Hello there? Welcome. My name is Javier Aouti. I'm the academic assistant here at Miraaboka. And uh you know, we're going to talk about a new uh program, Mil Global.
>> Mila Global. It's a good name, you know.
>> It's amazing. Yeah, it's amazing. You have some questions, I can answer.
>> I do. I do. But first, I would like to discuss about this program because it's something that we have dreamed about for the last 3 years. You have been with us for at least seven, right? But uh since your entry here in Mila, you have heard about this um necessities of students to get a special program designed only for speaking pro purposes, right?
>> Yeah. Finally, we have that. Finally, we have a program tailored to those students who are really uh you know willing to engage as fast as possible into a conversational level. Um it's it's an amazing program very intensive and um you know finally we have it and we're ready to offer it to you.
>> Yeah. And who is it designed for? uh have here.
>> This is designed for those students that have been uh getting into classes and they feel like you know they need something more intensive and uh they just want to talk. They want to improve the conversation. They want to prepare for college for universities and you know basically they want to really see the the growing in the language as fast as possible.
>> Great. Great guys. If you have questions related to the program, there's also an availability for you guys to translate this conversation. So if you speak another language, if you are for example, let's say Latin America, Brazil, Europe, you can just click on the button and translate instantaneously everything that we speak here in English. Okay. So Javier, I would like to start with some questions uh related to the program.
uh does the student need a special visa to enter this program or c can the student study here if the student is here as a in United States?
>> Yeah. No, if you're here in the United States, you don't need any visa. You don't need any process. Just walk in and start.
>> That's great. That's great. What about um levels? How many levels is it?
>> We're going to have six levels. uh depending on um you know and all that, we're going to try to place you in the best uh level for you according to your needs. But yeah, we have a whole uh different level in the during the series.
>> And how long does it take? Uh one level takes about how many weeks?
>> Yeah, there is a we're talking about 60 weeks per level and uh you're going to receive six hours.
>> 60 hours per level. So there is going to be six hours a week.
>> Awesome. Awesome. And um after I mean this is new right guys? So we are just starting the program. Our first group will start on July 7. So if you are looking to study here in Boca Raton you can contact us with admissions team and we will explain how everything works.
Right. Um Javier um there's a question here related to the schedules but I would like to take this one because as of now we don't have the groups yet right. So for now guys we are offering some availability related to the schedules. So there is Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday uh from 9:00 in the morning until 11:00.
Afternoon classes will be 4 in the afternoon until 6:00 in the afternoon.
And there's also availability on Saturdays. So if you want to study for example on Saturdays the classes will be 4 hours a day from 8:30 in the morning until 12:30.
>> So people are asking what is this live about? What they're talking about can you just repeat about what is >> Oh sure sure. So for those of you who just entered here with our live this live is related to our new program global English. So this program guys will be related to people that are visiting here United States. Let's say for example as a tourist or for someone that already leaves here and wants to take classes during this time. So we are just going through Javier is the the person in charge with academic here. So he's explaining about the program and how it works. So let's say for example you're here during the World Cup and you want to study English, you can during this time, right? or if you already live here in United States and you're looking to study with a program that has um focus on communication, Javier is the person in charge to to explain you guys for that. He'll explain that in a second. But um >> they want to know where this school is located.
>> Oh, so yeah, going back to the the course and then we go back to that question. So this program is related to people that wants to speak better and faster. So this program will have a main focus on that right Javier.
>> Yep. This is uh uh you know totally designed and tailor made for those students who wants to uh to improve as fast as possible uh their conversational uh abilities and skills. So it is also based on TED talk the T tech talks um videos. So, every unit you're going to uh see a TED talk video and you're going to be able to discuss um write summaries and do some presentations. It applies and teaches a lot of critical thinking strategies uh that you're going to need if you're planning to continue your professional career or your studies here in the United States.
>> Great.
>> We can ask them to uh ask questions.
Okay, we can >> Oh, yeah, sure. So just answering the question that you guys did before. Uh where is this Q located? So we are located in Boca Raton. It's a city on the south of Florida, right? Right between Miami and Orlando. So we are about 45 minutes away from Miami. So if you're here in the location, for example, I think that we'll have uh games right in Miami for the World Cup.
>> So if you are here as a tourist and you want to visit us, just swing by. It takes 40 minutes for you to be here. Uh the schedule will be only six hours a week. So you still have a lot of time to enjoy your stay here in United States, right?
Um so as Katcha said, if you have any questions related to the program, how it works, uh documents related to your eligibility, please ask and we are here to answer you guys. Okay. Um Javier, will this program be in person or online? It's going to be 100% in person.
Yeah.
>> Why is that?
>> Uh because it is like the whole dynamics of the program is that designed for interaction with you know among the students. So yeah that's a conversational skills that is uh uh better served in the uh classroom.
>> Awesome. And you have any idea on how many students we are targeting to have per classroom?
>> Uh we're talking about 10 students at per classroom. So, it's going to be pretty exclusive for the students.
>> Awesome.
>> Um, can this program help me professionally on my career?
>> Yes. Yeah, this is a program that is going to be a perfect link between your uh university status or you know uh trying to have access to college uh because it is not only about English, it is also about preparing uh the students for a professional career also.
>> The whole dynamics is based on critical thinking analysis. You're going to learn strategies. is you're going to learn uh some business uh uh strategies and skills that you're going to need to get uh you know into universities or to have access to a professional career. Yeah.
>> Perfect. Can you explain us a little bit more about the T talks because I've heard that at end of every chapter there's a tech talk related to that chapter, right? Can you explain and go through? Yeah, tech talks as you know it's a you know uh TED talks they have been on for a long long time already and it's basically people with certain knowledge specific knowledge on uh different topics they they do a video um like 15 to 20 minutes >> and uh but these are really you know the the selection of the TED talks including the in the program they're really the most interesting topics and you know so you're going to learn a lot uh by learning English, let's say, right?
>> Yeah. And on under your experience, uh you see there's I don't know if you guys can check it, but there's a map behind us, right? And um on every country there's a flag related to that. Do you have any idea how many nationalities there is here in Bocaratan?
>> In Boka, you mean in the in Oh, in in the school. Um how many now? Like >> 32.
>> 32. Okay. Wow.
>> So guys, if you're looking to have an experience related to other people, other cultures during this time that you're here visiting or if you already live here in United States and you want to um ex um have an experience related to other cultures, please contact us. So you can also during this time meet people from other uh countries.
Um Javier, that's me. We have Danielle saying hi. Maloo is saying hi.
>> Hi. Hey guys.
>> Hi Maloo.
>> So Javier, can you explain to our audience what is the difference between global English and a regular program of uh ring English program?
>> Mhm.
>> What is the difference? So I mean the the intensive English program that we offer uh uh it's a mostly based it's a communicative approach but it has a um an intense uh guidance on grammar and grammar learning. This uh new uh program uh global English is 100% designed to conversational skills. So uh there's going to be a very minimal load of uh grammar in the program.
>> Got it. So it will be related to people that want to speak on the daily basis.
>> Yeah. Yeah.
>> So >> 90% of the program is going to be conversational skills.
>> Yeah.
>> And as we said guys before, Javier has been with us for a long long time and it it's a program that we have been de developing for a long long time. So, Javier, what can we say to people that already tried to have English classes and gave up after 15 days? What can we say about this program that you can think it's a catch for people to stay with us for a long time? I think this is a whole different uh course and um the second you begin if you're interested in conversation, you're going to feel like you are really advancing at a higher pace. the the program is going to push you. It's going to be challenging for you. So, you're going to feel the the necessity to uh to keep up with the program. Uh and you need to really study and and you're going to feel the proess like very fast. Yeah.
>> As we said in the beginning, guys, uh this program has six different levels.
So, it starts on the elementary and goes all the way to the advanced level. So when you register with us, you will have an option especially for new students because we are just setting the problem right now. Um you will have an opportunity to buy one level in one package. Right? So that's the the big difference that we have now. So when you come up with the strategy to study with us, we are going to develop as soon as we do the placement test with you. we will understand your necessities and then upon that moment Javier will um set the level for you to start and then upon that level you have your program related specifically to you right um I would like to present the book Javier >> can you tell us a little bit about the book and the material >> yeah this is a keynote uh it's a national geographic uh product and um it's a simple book designed to uh you know to get you better uh skills on the conversational the areas. Uh you're going to have a lot of critical thinking, analysis, presentations, debate. So it's going to require that you have uh a certain intellectual load and um it's a very interesting book, very interesting topics and it will feel easy to uh to use the language acquired through classes. It's going to be easier to apply um out there in you know in uh your day-to-day uh practical situations.
Yeah. So who is it for uh professionally? Can you can you comment on some cases? Who is it for?
>> What do you mean? Like who is it for the students?
>> If I'm working as a banker, for example, is it for me?
>> Yeah.
>> If I'm working as, I don't know, someone in immigration or uh something related to um a labor that requires another knowledge instead of office, something else. Is it related to me? Yeah, it it it goes through all the different I mean topics and uh and subjects of a professional life and an educational career. So you will feel that this uh book is designed for your needs at that at that level. Yeah.
>> Got it. Got it. Any questions there Katya?
>> Let me see. How much is it to study there?
>> Okay. So guys for this new group right we do have a promotion going on at the moment. So at the end of this uh live we will provide the link for you on our live because it will be saved on YouTube. You can click on the link and then we you're going to talk to our admissions department. We I will not say the price to you guys right now because there is more than one location available. Right. So let's say for example that you want to study in Miami which is 40 minutes away. you must contact them to have the prices. But if you want to stay here in Boca Raton, you can contact us and I will contact you to explain the prices and how it goes. I can assure you guys that um this program will be the right fit for you. If it doesn't work for you, we're not going to sell it something that doesn't work for you, right? So, please contact us so we can we can explain all the details.
>> Someone said my English my English is basic.
If your English is basic, there is no problem. There are six different levels from basic, elementary to proficient.
Right? So the main difference on this program as Javier said, this is a program for you who wants to improve your English but also your self-thinking right Javier. So it will be developing not only the skill related to English but also your common knowledge, right Javier?
>> You see welcome a lot of people here.
>> Hi guys. Hi guys, welcome. Welcome. So, don't forget if you um are having issues understanding because we're speaking English right now, we do have a team that speaks Portuguese, speak Spanish, English, and um I mean, if you if you speak Russian, Javier can also help you because Javier also speaks Russian, right guys?
>> What is this live about? Yeah, we have a question.
>> Oh, so going back guys, uh we have been here for what 20 minutes, Katcha? 16 minutes.
>> 16 minutes. So in the past 16 minutes, we have been talking about a new program, right? So this program is developed for for people that are visiting here in United States.
>> What's the name of the program? Huh?
>> What is the name of the program?
>> The name.
>> Say it. Say it.
>> What is the name?
>> What is the name?
>> Mila Global.
>> Mila Global >> VA Global English.
>> What is it for?
>> It is for you. for you who's uh looking to improve your uh conversational uh skills and uh it is for you who has been trying for a while and uh haven't been able to find a program tailored to your specific needs. It is also for you uh wanting to go to college, wanting to go to the university. It is also for you trying to open a business in the United States. It is also for you who wants to speak fast and speak soon like you don't want to waste time because you're very busy at work. We understand that. So, it is going to be only six hours a week. Uh it's going to be uh 10 units, right? 60 uh 60 hours the per level and you're going to be able to feel the progress.
It's not you're not going to have to wait to get into a conversational uh skill uh from the get-go. This book is going to push you to talk. So, it is designed with uh very little grammar.
So, um you know, it's going to push you to to um to use your critical thinking, your analysis, your debating skills. So yeah, it's um it's an amazing program and and u we're here to prove it to you.
>> That's awesome. You just commented uh something really um important. Have you had you said to people that want to get into college, right? So let's say that my English is advanced, but I'm having issues related to my writing and also my my speaking spiel skills.
Yeah, sorry guys. Skills.
>> That's for you.
>> Yeah, that's for me. So, if you want to get into college, will that be related to me?
>> Yes, because it is it is going to push your English. It's going to take your English to a higher level, but it's also going to it's going to teach you strategies, learning strategies, reading techniques. It's going to teach you conversational skills, uh debating, negotiating skills, uh presentations, uh critical analysis. So it's it's uh it's all around it's a very uh balanced book not only into learning English but also into getting into the uh educational and career uh professional path. So >> when I finish let's say for example the advanced level will I be getting a certification of that level that I finished it?
>> Yes. Yes.
>> Yes.
>> Y >> can I update that information on my leading for example?
>> Yes of course. Yeah. Yeah. See guys, so let's say for example that again that you're visiting here in United States and you want to enjoy this time to improve your English proficiency. You can also attach uh international certificate to your linking page and you can also um tag us on your linking page stating that you have been studying language um academy that has been certified by immigration to having international students. I mean this program will be not for international students. It is for people that are visiting here, but you can also attach that information to your link page because it's a program related to uh recreational English, right?
>> So, do I live here? Do can I study there?
>> Yes. Yes. So, that program guys is specifically to you that lives here in United States. You do not need a student visa to go to this program. just contact us and we will explain all the options available regarding this schedule.
That's it. Javier, I want to thank you uh for the opportunity to be here with us. I know that you have a busy schedule, but uh I mean it's the first love uh first live that we had here >> and I think that's going to be uh beginning for new lives that we're going to do together.
>> Very good. Yeah.
>> Thank you so much.
>> Like the live and share.
>> Please like. Please share and we are here to help you guys.
>> Thank you so much and welcome to Mil Global English.
