[00:00:01]So, here in this video, we are going to do the explanation of the lesson Hope is the thing with feather. So, this is the lesson which is for the English semester four students, ma.

So, Hope is the thing with feather, the complete lesson I'll explain in this one video. This one video will be enough to to finish this lesson, okay? And this is the notes which is made by me. So, Hope is the thing with feather was written by Emily Dickinson was a famous American poet.

[00:00:52]So, she was born in 10th of December 1830 in USA, okay? She was one of the famous American poet. So, she lived in a quiet and mostly in a private life. Her poems deal with the life, nature, hope, love, and death, okay? So, he her poems her works is mainly deals with the topic of life, nature, love, death, and hope.

[00:01:17]She is known for her unique writing style and deep thoughts. So, she was very known and she was very unique in her writing, okay? So, her poem uses simple words but carry long, strong meanings.

[00:01:33]Even though she is using the simple words, simple statements, but it it can have a carrier deep meaning among them.

[00:01:40]So, she she was very famous because I could not stop for death and I am nobody, who are you? So, this is the work one of her Emily Dickinson's famous writings. So, because I could not stop for death and I am nobody, who are you? Okay? So, she died in 1886, but her poems are still widely read today till today, okay? In many countries, okay? [00:02:43]The poet describes a hope as a small bird that lives inside every human being. In every human being, there is a still hope in our life.

[00:02:55]There is a store a small hope in our human being, yes? So, that is the poet is describing. This bird is always present in the soul and continuously sings a song. So, everyone will have a hope, no? Hope I'll pass in this exam.

[00:03:11]So, that is a small a kind of bird which will live in every inside of the human being, yes? So, the song has no words, but it will give the comfort, the strength, and encouragement to the people. When you hope, when you believe in yourself, you will have the comfort, you will have the encouragement, you will have the strength among you. In the first stanza of the poem, the poet introduced that hope as a bird with the feathers. In the first stage of the poem, the poet describing the thing that bird has a hope has a bird with the feathers. This bird purchases in the soul, meaning it meaning it lives inside us all the time. So, purchases in the soul, what does it mean means it will lives always inside our body. It keeps singing a tune without stopping, okay? This shows how hope is constant and never leaves us even when we are unaware of it. So, when you small when you think alone, when you are sitting calmly, but you your mind will goes on running, no? So, how in future how you will be, where you will be, like that.

[00:04:20]So, that is called hope. So, it is very constant and it will never leaves us, okay? The song without words suggests that hope is a feeling, not something we can fully explain in languages, but it naturally exists within us. So, she is saying that it is can't we can't say something in the human languages, but still it is naturally exists within us, okay? Inside our body. Means everyone will have the thing, no? Yes? So, this is about the first stanza of the poem.

[00:04:52]In the second stanza, ma, the poet explains that hope becomes stronger during difficult times. So, when in the difficult times, your home will become hope will become more stronger. The bird sounds sweetest in the gale. So, sweetest in the gale, it is nothing about the sweetest in the gale is nothing about the during storms or during problems which you are facing in your life. When people are face when people face challenges, uh difficulties in the life, hope gives them courage and strength. For example, you are in a situation that you are facing so many challenges, that time your hope will give you the strength.

[00:05:40]Your hope will give you the confidence to handle the situation, yes or no? That what sweetest in the gale. The poet says that one very important powerful storm could not stop this bird. Even though any powerful problem you are having, but it will not stop the bird. The bird is nothing about the hope. This means that hope is strong and cannot be easily destroyed. Even in the worst situation which you are facing in your life, hope continues to support people and keep them going. Even if you are facing so much bad in your life, but still you hope for a good life, no? Still you hope for a better life, no? That is called something which is continuing continuously it is supporting the people, yes? So, the bird is described as a small, but it has a power to keep so many warm. Keep so many warm means nothing about there are so many things to keep inside that. This shows that even though hope may seem simple, but it plays it plays a vital important role in every human being's life. It gives emotional strength. It helps the people to survive in difficult times also, okay? That what the poet is saying. So, in the third stanza, okay?

[00:06:58]In the third part of the poem, the poet shares personal experiences that she says that she has felt hope even in the chillest land and the strangest sea.

[00:07:11]What is this chillest land and strangest sea? These phrases represent very difficult and unfamiliar situations in the life. Means in the third stanza of the poem, the poet is experiencing the poet is telling the experiences which she faced in the life. So, she was saying that in the very difficult situation in her life, even in extreme condition, but still hope remains present, it seems. This shows that hope is universal, okay? It exists wherever you want, wherever you want, no matter how much harder your life will become, but still it will have a small universal hope, okay? It will exist everywhere.

[00:07:53]This is about the third stanza of the poem, okay? So, the poet also says that hope never ask anything in return, not even a crumb. That means not even a crumb is nothing about It is completely selfless, okay? So, in return, it will not ask anything, but it will gives the comfort, it will give the encouragement, it will give the strength when you are facing a difficulty in your life without expecting any reward. So, that is about the hope. So, this makes hope very pure and valuable. So, this is a third thing the poet is saying in the poem. Overall, the poem highlights the importance of a hope in every human being's life. Hope is shown as strong and a positive force that helps the people to face the challenges, to understand the situations. It gives courage during tough times and never abandons us, okay?
