It was so fun. It was so fun. I'll go into it at the end. I'm so excited. Um, welcome besties. For the replay, I'm going to dive right into our topic, which is going to be zap fatigue. We talked about that actually quite a bit at the Austin meetup. And so, I wanted to deep dive into it on today's live.
Um, because so many people experience it. I feel like we need to like reloop, talk back about it. Um, have a combo and then we can kiki at the end too, which I'm so excited about. I feel like I have so much to share. Um, and I want you to share too also as you're signing in.
What are your victories um, for this week? I want to hear what's gone well.
What do you want to work on? Tell me everything. Um, so, okay. So zebomb fatigue totally normal or mandaro fatigue trozepide fatigue and insert whatever GLP1 because they're common across GLP ones is very very common and you know I was talking to somebody at the Austin meetup and we were having a conversation about this and for me it's allowing the grace of rest of truly when I weighed over 300 lbs I didn't know how to rest I just I think I would rest through food quite frankly quite a bit um that was where my rest and solace came from. Speaking of which, I feel like I have makeup under my eyes cuz I literally just woke up from a nap.
[laughter] Speaking of rest, and so allowing my body the ability to rest or recognize or even verbally say, "Hey, I'm tired. Hey, I don't feel super energetic today." Um, and allowing myself to be able to acknowledge that and then also rest with it, too. Like the part two of that is then like, "Okay, I'm going to take some rest." I'm going to get to the comments.
I promise my besties. I'm so glad you guys are here. I cannot wait at that.
I'm going to do my first thing about dabbound fatigue and then I'll come back to the comments. So, keep the comments going. I'll go back to them. Um, but allowing my body the ability to rest, allowing my body the ability to slow it down for a hot second and then the part two of that, and this is where I I do recognize that there's a luxury within this. I'm I recognize that. But also, I'm saying it to also help encourage that 24 to 48 hours after my shot, I am very tired. Very, very tired. Guess where I am right now? In the bed.
because I'm tired. Like I'm allowing my body the ability to rest because also weight loss is a stressor on the body.
It is a stressor. And so the medication is adding stress in terms of like tiredness with it. And then weight loss is a stress. And then add in there the third component. If you're not eating enough calories, that will also make a girl or a gentleman tired. It will make us tired. And so acknowledging those things, weight loss is a stress. This medication can be a stress in terms of tired, excuse me, tiredness. And then if calories, if you're not eating within the right calorie range, that is going to add an extra layer of tiredness. And no wonder you can't be Wonder Woman and do a Wonder Woman and do all of the things. You can't if you're not eating enough calories. How do you have the fuel or energy to even do that? And so, hey, I'm so glad you're here. Welcome.
We're talking about zipound fatigue.
Welcome. Come on in. I want to hear your victories for the day. Tell me in the comments below as we go through. I'll read them when we're when when when I'm done talking about zone fatigue. But I wanted to share that of acknowledging it first and foremost. And then secondly, okay, what's the proactive plan with with that then? Like what's the plan?
The plan then is allowing my body the ability to rest. And for me, I make it up on the back end. Like 24 to 48 hours after my shot, I am not making a lot of social commitments. I'm not making a lot of work commitments. I'll do my work of course, but like not going necessarily above and beyond. And then I'll make it up on the back end. Day five, day six, day seven. That's when I pick up steam with social commitments or um work commitments or things like that. Um and I think that that's really important to acknowledge. People I think sometimes don't and want to power through which is amazing. Weight loss has given me so much energy. It's not that I don't have energy cuz I do. In fact, I think sometimes I have too much energy for some people that are like, "Oh, she's on drugs." And I'm like, "I promise you I'm not on drugs. I haven't had a drink in 20 years. Like I'm not on drugs and I don't drink." Um, it's literally I have a ton of energy, but then when that energy source is depleted through GLP1 and if eating in a calorie deficit too too much, then I got to I got to get to my bed. And I know not everybody can do that. Particularly if you have children like for my kid, some of it is I just power through for him of like I'm going to show up and you know for my son and so I'm saying that for for besties and I know many of you have grandchildren and you're like I'm showing up for my grandchildren. I am tired. [laughter] and so what we do for our kids and and things like that. But so in terms of that tiredness, I do know and my husband and I have gone around and around and around working out does make me less tired. It seems counterintuitive.
Walking makes me less tired. Physically doing those things does help. It doesn't seem like it does, but it does give me a lot more energy. Two, next big thing is um the foods. For me, I can be sensitive with certain kinds of foods. And so for you, I would very much encourage you.
Number two is do you know like I know self be true our bodies interact with foods very very differently and so do certain things trigger your body like at the Austin meetup um last night we're talking about some people have like gluten allergies some people like going through different food reactions in our bodies are you having a reaction also that is making it you more tired with it too very well maybe I've not taken like an allergy test but certain foods definitely make me more tired like foods with corn in I love porn stuff, porn based stuff. But I noticed for me that actually makes me more sleepy. And so I'm saying all that to say because I've recently gotten this about zone fatigue and with new people on Fondeo or we go pill, new uh GLP1 people coming into the fold. Like that's part of the bag for me. I'll use my eye statements for me. It was part of the bag. Um I love it. People are putting their non-scale victories. I love it.

Um so all of us are different. Our bodies are different. our reactions are going to be different. Particularly if you guys have not seen the video where I talked about the brain, the CC camp in our brain of how some people who lose a ton of weight have more of a firing in their brain with that CC camp versus other people who don't lose weight as easily. It is literally in the brain.
And then also the genetics too. They've identified the GLP1R. I'm butchering that name is but there's it's I think it's called GLP1R gene. It is a gene for people who lose weight very quickly on GLP1. So, not only do we have the genetic component, we have the brain component. And then throwing in these other side effects, it can make it challenging. And so, know that you're not alone. Give your body ability to rest. Um, and for me, I'll make it up on the back end. I'm like, I'll have a ton more energy day five, day six, day seven. Um, but also making sure I'm eating in like also for that 24 to 48 hours, I'm typically not eating in my calorie range. I'm eating under for that. And so I'm trying to get a little bit better about that of 24 to 48 hours cuz I get so hungry later on in the shop period for GLP1. Um that I'm trying to eat within that so I don't get as tired cuz that's part of it is eating in such a calorie deficit it can make me really really tired too. Um I am really excited. And I'm like, it really does help me to get to know you better because I care.

Um, Sherry says, "I need to be more consistent my weight training, but girls and guys, I use vibration plates and walk every day." Woohoo. Sherry, I love that. I feel like walking is such a foundational thing of getting into that routine and then that begets other routines for me at least it did of like walking begets um lifting weights and like it led down this path of it was walking to Pilates, Pilates to then lifting weights. Um and it was home Pilates, wall Pilates and then to like an actual Pilates studio and then into lifting at home and then now lifting in a gym. Um but my encouragement for you is what's stopping you, Sherry? For me, what's stopping me is I'm frequently tired, which is why I'm doing this exact episode talking about zetbound fatigue that I did not um I did not get to work out this week very much. Part of it was from travel, but part of it was I was really really tired and so and I know partially some of that's medical. That's there's some medical stuff that's going on for me.
And so that would be my fourth thing to add in zbound fatigue of if it's you're that tired that that you may need some medical intervention, please make sure you talk to your healthcare provider, right? Like could it be like a vitamin D deficiency or a zinc deficiency? Not zinc, iron, iron deficiency. Um but anyways, I I would say if it's the consistency part, what's holding you back? Is it scheduling? Is it that you're tired? Is it that you don't know what to do? And that's cloaked in that you don't go because you don't know what to do. I have had experienced that of where I'm like, I'm not good at it, so I don't even want to do it. Any other recovering type A's out there? I'm more type B now. But um that was one of them of like perfectionism. If I can't be great at it, I don't want to do it. And that's a stinky attitude to have in life. And it's been amazing with GLP1s of how much I've grown as a human being.
I don't really think that way very much anymore. Linda said she lost 10.2 lbs.
Wow. 5 weeks in. Linda, I am so happy for you, friend. What do you think the biggest thing is that what you've learn?
What have you learned, Linda? What has been the biggest learning lesson for you in your last five weeks? I want to know.
Um, oh, Peggy, she says, "I needed this.
The last three weeks have been horrible, my sweet friend." Well, first, I'm giving you a whoosh wave of love. I'm praying over you. I'm giving you lots of love. And secondly, what can you do to make some small victory? It doesn't have to mean the whole day is a victory, but for this one part, what what what would that be? Hey, Danny. Check out the hotel gym. I am so tired from walking. the calories that I've burnt on my Fitbit. I'm like just at 3,000 and it's still not even It's still early.
So, I'm not moving, but I want to. These Austin folks are very health consscious. Um, let's see here. Yes, Danny coming to um NYC in August. Yes, trying to confirm if it's going to be July 19th or July. I have a YouTube meet and greet and YouTube big thing. I have two YouTube things um that I was invited to in New York City. So, I'm trying to coordinate my flight and for one of them my kid and my mom are coming with me. So, all that to say um I'm waiting to book our flights and then yes then Danny I'm booking it. It would be in July. Virginia would be August. The meet up and greet for Virginia would be at August, but for New York City would be the next one would be at the end of July. Either around July 20th or around July 28th or 29th.

It's one thing to be like, I'm going to eat healthier. I'm going to do this, but like to go to a nutritionist and then learn the foods and then buy the foods and prepare the foods and then eat the foods. You know what I mean? Like, and I think GLP1's such a fabulous tool for us to be able to do that, but we still have to do it. And so, the fact that you're doing it is fantastic. and weight training three times a week for the last five weeks. That's a lifestyle change, bibs. That is a lifestyle change to be able to lift three times a week. That is a lifestyle change. I love that so much.

You are amazing, Lisa. not medical advice at all. um to my experience strength and hope is with the lifting you're eating within your protein right so it's not going to cannibalize again not from a not dietitian person just from somebody who did that [laughter] somebody who did cannibalize their own muscles by not properly eating high enough protein when I was lifting back in the day now I do but back in the day I didn't um Mandy says I want to go on to Virginia I have a free flight my friend then I need to book this at the end of August for Virginia. They were way too small. I would show you. It's literally my suitcase, but I don't want to be mean to the brand that sent it. Um they were just they were very small. And so anyways, I was like, I'm not going to wear their sponsored outfits. And I bought I bought them with my own money.
And I was like, I'm not gonna like I it's too small because they were size small very like smaller than normal sizes. I'm like, I know I'm a size medium top. And then I was like, am I just gaining a ton of weight? Is that's why it's not fitting? It's not. It's it's genuinely a small brand size. So anyways, I was like, I'm going to make my own customized pickle ball paddle so it will distract people that I'm not wearing the outfit attire that I'm supposed to wear at this brand event for and the clothing company was the sponsor. So anyways, this is my homemade pickle ball paddle. Not homemade. I mean, I got it on Amazon, but is that not a hysterical? I'm like, I'm going to customize my face on everything.
So, that's so funny. So, for pickle ball, um, it was I could actually play with it. It was legal whatever the word is like, uh, tournament play.
I like I hit the ball around. It was It was on top of a rooftop building and it was, I don't know, 85 degrees up there.
It was very hot. So, I didn't play too long. I played for a little bit and then I was like she tired just it was hot. If it would have been air conditioning I would have played.
