When evaluating bank stocks for investment, investors should compare growth momentum and recovery potential across competitors; HDFC Bank, while showing decent numbers, has experienced slowed growth and requires a longer-term investment horizon of 12-18 months, whereas ICICI Bank and Axis Bank demonstrate stronger momentum and are better choices for shorter-term investments, with HDFC Bank's 735-740 price zone representing a potential entry point for long-term investors.

HDFC vs ICICI vs Axis: Stock That’s A Better Buy NowAdded:
The next question, you know, that's coming in now, it's on HDFC Bank and our viewer, you know, Arun from Kerala is holding shares at 995. Now, uh you know, Avinash, let me come back to you because, you know, it's yet again slipped that mark of 800 going back to those lows of almost 740 that we saw. Uh I'm sure we would have asked you at that time also about what the counter is, but uh anything that you look at in this aspect because you also now seen results from ICICI Axis. Uh is it uh still a preferred pick in that sense?
Well, I think, see, looking at the banking scenario, HDFC Bank uh has definitely delivered a decent set of numbers, but if you compare it with, let's say, ICICI Bank or an Axis Bank, uh I would say that, you know, uh HDFC Bank will take some time to recover.
Uh it's not that the bank will not grow, but the pace of growth has slowed down.
And my sense is at least for a couple of quarters, we could see this happening.
Maybe post September, things could, you know, change for the better. But compared to that, ICICI Bank or maybe an Axis Bank in the private sector space looks more interesting and a better choice. So, I would not uh prefer HDFC Bank. Quite frankly, ICICI Bank or Axis Bank would, you know, do much better in terms of outperformance.
Uh Kush, uh do you also agree because you've seen we're getting so many queries of it's a good entry price as well on the charts. So, would you what would be your opinion?
I agree 100% with Avinash's view here.
Is that uh HDFC Bank, if at all you want to consider, is a long-term story. And I know people have heard this tape over and over again, and you know, it's been testing patience like anything, but uh you know, the view still remains. It's still a long-term uh you know, story, 12 to 18 months out.
If you want to, then this or perhaps even close to the 735-740 zone is a good entry price. And I also agree to Avinash's second point, which is if you want to consider from a momentum perspective a quarter or so, I think you should consider uh you know, ICICI and Axis in that order. Got it.
