Incora’s Daniel Gubichuk on managing the MRO chemical supply chainAdded:
So we're here at MRO Americas 2026 and I'm sitting with Daniel Gubitschuk. Uh he is with Incora, which is a major global supply chain company that uh supplies lots of things to the aerospace uh and defense industry.
Daniel's job primarily is in chemicals and so we're here to talk a little bit about that. Daniel, can you describe for us exactly what uh what Incora does in the chemicals business?
Yeah, absolutely and thank you so much for the time. Um from from a chemicals perspective, we are an end-to-end supply chain solutions provider around chemicals.
Uh if you think about chemicals in a production facility or chemicals in an aftermarket facility, you're you're looking at things like shelf life, temperature control, regulatory requirements, EHS requirements, and and really just environmental controls and making sure that you're not buying or wasting anything that you that you uh don't want to hurt the environment. In- Incora looks at looks at our customer supply chain and we look at that whole end-to-end process and come in and look for an opportunity to take that process and and where our customers are doing this sort of part-time or it's it's a very small piece of their supply chain, for us it's all we do. And and when when I say it's all we do, we've got experts in every small piece of that entire segment so that at the end of the day you're the airlines have what they need when they need it, no questions, all the quality checks are are perfect. Um we're making sure we're not scrapping or throwing away any material that they uh they don't use, they have the right sizes, the right quantities. And and as a global company with, you know, 60 locations around the world, uh we're very good at moving product in and out of the different regulatory environments as well. Okay. So I would imagine with it's very important chemicals, I would imagine with just how quickly things can happen in the industry with AOG situations, uh emergencies basically where you need to get chemicals. Um so, how does that affect the way the chemicals need to be managed and you need to handle them? I I would assume that that's pretty important. That That's a great question.
I could say real focus is having the right inventory at the right place at the right time, but it's also forward-looking into the production system or forward-looking into the demand planning, which is where we step in. We're not just a pure distributor.
What we are is a production partner, and we're a company that's actually working within the processes, within the the supply chain planning to say, "Here's what's about to roll down the line. Here are the chemicals that are going to be needed, and exactly how much are are going to be needed in the right location so that they're not overstocked, they're not throwing anything away, and at the end of the day, keep the airplanes flying." So, we've got shipping issues, we've got energy price spikes, um very unpredictable. So, how should MRO operators approach chemical supply chain continuity? What should they be thinking about?
>> Yeah, right now um with with the turmoil around the world and the turmoil that that happens constantly um around the chemicals industry, it takes one storm, one conflict, one um kind of macroeconomic event to really affect the chemicals industry. And what what the companies that are are really successful do, they work with companies like Incora, um and and we're in front of that process. And we're already looking at and we're thinking on their behalf about different shortages, different supply chain crises, and and we're when when those opportunities actually do arise, we're in front of them. I really attune it a lot of times to um a utility. When a customer walks into their shop and flips on the light switch, the lights have to come on. The chemicals just have to be there. The last thing in the world to happen is anything related to what we support. So, we're we really treat all of our opportunities to where we're in front of it, ready to go, um and you can treat it like a utility. It's just there and we're we're operating. You don't think about it until there's something wrong or you have to think about it. Um but I guess that's the value that Henkel brings is that you're going to flip the light switch, the lights are going to come on, you're going to need your chemicals, and they're going to be there for you every time. They they need to be there 100% of the time every time, and you don't want you don't throw as little away as possible if any. That's absolutely what we're focused on. Can you talk a little bit about the the size and scope of the company? You're based in Fort Worth, Texas, but you've got operations all across the globe. Can you talk a little bit about? Yeah, we're uh global global company. As I mentioned, 60 locations, 16 countries.
Um we are supporting products uh throughout Europe, throughout the Middle East, um all the way into Southeast Asia, Australia, uh and and up and down both North and South America. So, all the the large or most of the large OEMs are your customers and and they they rely on you?
We we work very very closely with our our customer partners, um with whether it's the OEMs or the aftermarket. Um we're we're supporting them, and as their business shifts, as they decide to move production systems around the country, around the world, uh we're there and ready to support them wherever they wherever they happen to land. Yeah.
So, a show like this, MRO Americas, um it's really a wonderful opportunity to get to see your customers, your suppliers, the OEMs, um just everybody in the industry is basically here. So, I'd assume that being at this show to you is really important.
>> The the the show here is absolutely important, and the industry is here. As as as you look around as you walk the show, um the who's who of our competitors are here, the who's who of our customers are here. Um every one of our suppliers are here. We're working on long-term relationships. How do we continue to drive forward and and support this industry? We we mentioned chemicals, but we haven't actually said what chemicals that you primarily deal in. Can you take us through sort of your product portfolio?
>> Absolutely. So, from a chemical management perspective, um we like to say anything with an SDS or anything with a safety data sheet. So, it can be everything from adhesive sealants, um, coolants, paints, solvents, uh, everything from floor cleaners to machine greases. It can be a flyaway product or product used in the manufacturing process. If you walk into a a production system or you walk into an MRO shop, and you see it smell our product that we usually when you walk in, and it is, uh, our our solutions [music] provide the whole end-to-end service. So, there's nothing in that building that we can't support.
