Successful reselling requires balancing low-cost items (purchased for £1-£5) with high-value items to maximize profit margins; for example, purchasing a bundle of beer towels for £10 and selling them for £750+ demonstrates how strategic sourcing and understanding market value can transform seemingly worthless items into significant profits, while also maintaining efficient inventory turnover by selling items within 2 days.

ROOKIE Reseller Mistake That Backfired SpectacularlyAñadido:
It's always funny to me when us resellers who document what we do, we put our videos online, we make purchases, and you get the occasional person that doesn't even know what they're talking about and they'll say something like, "That was a bad buy. Why would you waste your money on that for?
That'll never sell." That is exactly what happened with that big bundle of beer towels that I picked up the other day for a tenner. Within two days, I made £7 back. And in today's video, we've sold another bundle as well, and we've still got tons left. So, if you want, I'll sell you one at half price so you can wipe your little tears with them.
That's my sass done for the morning.
I've been very, very busy these last few days. So, some of these orders are going out late. Not late, past a dispatch time, but later than I'd normally like.
As mentioned, especially on vintage, I like to shift my stuff out within two days max. Same as I do with eBay. But, I've been selling at the car boot sale.
We've sold lots and lots of stuff. We got so much space back in here now. so much more clarity on the mind and all like boxes and tubs and stuff. There is a selling video. It will be out soon, but you'll see what I mean and you'll understand. Like, yeah, that was nice.
It was a good clear out. I didn't bring too much back either. And get away from me. I didn't bring too much back either and I made £270 on top of my 50 float.
So, that's some ammunition for the weekend's car boot sales. But of course, before we go to the car boot sales, before we do all that, we have to get some sales out. And that's what we're going to do. Today is Thursday, so again, I'm off kill. You know, I like to do my sales videos Monday, Wednesday, Friday, but I'm off I'm off center. All right, we'll start with vintage first. There's not loads going out, but there's plenty.
We'll start with vintage. £7 for this Cheshier cat. Now, I've got a lovely message off a young lad here.
His name's Dylan. He's bought it for his mom, but he said, "Thank you for accepting my offer. My mom likes the Cheshire cat even though it's got people teeth. People teeth is just fantastic.
It does have people teeth. That's from Dylan. He's 13 years old. Bless him.
He's put his Tik Tok up if you want to go and check him out. There's D. D wants you to go and follow his Tik Tok channel. Go and run the numbers up.
It might not be what you're after, but if he wants to make content and be a content creator, what more of a boost can you give him than giving him a bunch of follows? deal. Massively appreciate it, mate. Hope your mum loves the cat.
And I hope some people go over and run those numbers up.
£7. I paid one pound at the boot sale. I picked up a bundle from a lovely couple that are always at the car boot sales.
I'm actually editing the video now.
Picked up a Google chcast. I didn't realize it wasn't worth as much as this was. I thought it was worth way more than that. Picked up a Google chcast, a Brighton cycle map thing. Just charging it now. It seems to be working.
And a pair of Rayban P's, Rayban polarized for 12 quid. I've sold this one for £750. Now, I thought these are worth way more, but apparently this is just a really old one, 2013, I think.
So, I think it only costs up to 1080p or something like that. But I was thinking like 2030 quid. No. Sell for about a tenner. I managed to get £750 out of that one. But that still brings down the spend of the Ray-B bands which you haven't seen of course cuz you haven't seen the video. And that thing there. So it's decent. I'll take it. So Michael Kors wedges paid two pound at the car boot sale. And unfortunately I've got a bit of damage on the back here. Can you see that? Just just here. Only only like slightly like the lips a bit broken on both of them. So I listed them on eBay on vintage for like seven quid, dropped to five, got an offer of 333. No, reduced it to 333 and they sold. So I've made a pound or something on top, but I didn't see that damage when I was buying them, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered. I mean, it's not really like going to affect the shoe, but people want perfection, don't they? And I don't blame them.
So we've made profit still. Oh, and this was off the lady where I bought the Google Chrome as well. She was selling figures for a pound each. I picked up this one. I picked up Rock Steady from the Turtles and something else, but these these cost me a pound. This is a Burger King one.
Universal Studios Monsters or something.
Can't remember. Monster Wolf Man sold it for £3 pound50. So that really brings the spend of that deal down, doesn't it?
Do you see what I'm saying? It all compounds. 1 pound into 3 pound50.
That's 2 pound50 on top plus my one pound back.
Come on. Come on now. Let's stop being silly. You'll notice when I'm at the boot sales, I do look for one pound into five pound items quite a lot. But I'm also looking for big ticket items, which you'll see here as well. We found one the other day amongst the all the one pound into fives and we've got a£5 into a nice chunk. But that's how I like to run it. That's how I like to do things.
There's always opportunities to bring the spend down. If I went to a car boot sale and spent £100 on five items, 20 each, I've got to make sure I'm getting my 20 pound back regardless. But if I spent £110 at the car boot sale, five items at 20 each and 10 items at£1 each.
And those one pounds are going to sell for five six seven quid.
£5 times 10, that's £50.
That's two and a half items that I've paid 20 for that are going to sell for 60, 80, 90, 100 pound. They're now free.
Not technically free, but do you see what I'm saying? Come on, work with me here, people. Work with me. Well, we're going to move into eBay now. Oh, we got a nice few sales over there. Not loads, but some good little ones.
First of all, for £184, we have sold zipper.
Have you liked and subscribed yet?
How did you do that with your mouth closed? Very, very professional. Paid a fiverr for this at the boot sale while I was buying a few of the things. Took it home, washed it, cleaned it, come up absolutely lovely. £186. Look out for these character bags. They always sell really well. And we've sold the home medics machine. This was one pound at the car boot sale. I was going to say one pound fish then, but it's not a fish. One pound. It's a bit of a fin shark's fin. Whatever. Paid a pound at the car boot sale. Sold it for 2345. In fact, I think there was a lovely little message with this one. Or it was a note.
I can't remember notes, but obviously I can go back to messages. Yeah. Hi Ricky.
Longtime subscriber. Loving your journey. Keep it up, mate. F the trolls.
We don't have trolls around here. just have losers. Watching you and the other retailers inspired me to have a go. My shop is stuff and that 2024. Cheers, Phil. By the way, hopefully this will sort my sleep. It definitely will. Not Phil. Fee, my apologies. It definitely will. They're fantastic. I have sleep or something on podcast or something to sleep every single night. I have to. I have no choice. I can't sleep in silence. It kills me. But yeah, as I was saying, I'm a bit concerned. I've got a really vague memory of somebody either leaving it on a note or a message, but I've gone through all my messages on vintage and all my messages on eBay. I cannot find it, so it must have been a note on eBay. Somebody said, "Please, can you hold off postage and delay it for as long as possible because I'm away or something, but I can't find that message, so it must have been a note on eBay." So, I'm going to be dispatching all of these. And if I do dispatch it and it's you, my apologies, but it would have been the furthest I could hold back on eBay regardless. But if it was vintage, I don't know. But somebody sent me as if it was you who let me know and I apologize. I've got to send it.
Then last night we had the camera sale come through. Paid two pound off the lovely lady at the boot sale. Really really enjoy speaking to you if you watch this if you watch this video. It's a Fujifilm fine pics. Paid two pound.
Sold this for 28.45. And I've also got a memory card as well. I tell about 15, but two pound into 2845 already. Lovely.
Then we have sold I think there's me issues with a lot of these on eBay to be fair. We started selling off the beer towels. Here we go. So I p£10 for the lot. I've already had £750 back and I've sold another one the other day as well for 8 quid. This one has sold for £8.
We've got the cowsburg one. Awesome.
Thank you very much. Was asking about this over the weekend on your vintage top man. I'm a follower on your YouTube and love your work. All the best from Trevor. Thank you Trevor. All the best to you mate. And then this chap sent me.
He asked me how much I would accept for the Embassy and the Croninberg. I said, "Send me an offer of No." He said to me, "Would you accept 15 pound for them both?" Said, "Yeah, mate. Send me an offer of 750 on them both and we'll go for it." So, we got £15 for these two.
Croninberg and Embassy. How cool is that? Hey, when pubs were cool. When pubs were cool.
Matt, really appreciate if you watch the channel. We've sold another one.
Morels's. This one has sold for £8.
We're doing all right. See, we're doing okay.
And then for 789, you must watch the channel. Hi Ricky. Always have your channel on in the background when working from home. Keep up the good work and the great content. Thank you, mate.
You've picked up the Guinness list for a bargain price of 789. I massively appreciate it. So, I'll let you do the maths on those beer towels so far. And we've still got a box full of them. Absolutely full.
So, if you're going to talk about things, talk about things that you know about. All right? Don't just come online waffling cuz it'll bite you back in the bum. I won't out you this time. You are actually a part of the community as well. As in you make videos, so you know who you are, Wally.
Last but not least, we have sold the Panasonic DVD free view. When I picked this up originally, I thought it was just a DVD player. It's from the lovely chap at the car boot sale.
I can't remember your name now. Andy, can't remember. Nice chap. Sells the doories. The car boot sale that I go to on a Saturday have now started gating it from 5 till 6:00. So everyone's queuing up outside now at 6:00 and we all go in together. Whereas before half five, there's people in there scurrying around and getting all the good bits. Not anymore, baby. And it also means the sellers have an opportunity to set up on time, you know, without getting harassed. So anybody that feels that way, Buns Boot Sales are now doing between 5 and 6 a closed off setup time.
So go and take advantage of that. Great people as well. But I picked this up for £5 and it sold this morning on the school run for £75.99.
I didn't have offers on this, but I must have sent out an offer because it was listed for £79.99.
£75. But during that car boot sale, I was picking up one pound into five items, one pound into seven items, two pound into six quid items. Now, I don't really like to do that to be fair, but sometimes it happens because I don't know everything and I don't research everything. I got off a lot of gut and hunch a lot of the time. I love doing that. I love getting home and then discovering what the item's worth. I'm either going to be like which is a poker term for well done, good, or I'm going to be like bonk. Just made it up.
But that's the opposite of Surely that's the way that it is. I'm going to get these lot packed up now cuz they need to go out. I've got a few people asking me when are you going to ship it?
And you know, it's still within the allotted time on vintage, but some people on vintage get impatient, don't they? Which is fine. It's fair. It's allowed.
Currently editing a buying video and I'm currently editing the selling video. I love making selling videos and you guys love watching them as well. So, if you aren't already, please do subscribe to the channel so you don't miss when that one's uploaded and I'll see you in the next one. Tada. Let's get this done.
Let's trap on, baby.
Hello. Bye. Bye.
