i love this womanAdded:
Hi. Um, my name is Laura and I'm an alcoholic.
Um, I actually just came for my women's meeting, my recovery meeting that I go to every Friday and I just love those women so much. ages 25 to 85 and we all just hang out and then we go to Starbucks after and we gossip and it's so fun and they yell at me about my bad decisions and I learn from them. It's kind of the best thing ever. If you don't have some sort of support group, highly highly recommend. I feel like they have a support group for everything. They've got gambling anonymous, sex and love addicts anonymous, alcoholics anonymous, cannabis anonymous, shopping anonymous.
I'm waiting for the Tik Tok anonymous.
There's a lot of anonymouses. Debtors anonymous.
There's more. Oh, overeaters anonymous.
But you don't just go to overeaters anonymous if you're an overeater. You can go if you're an undereater, too.
There should really just be an undereaters and an overeaters, but it's all sorts of eaters anonymous. I'm not an overeater. I'm not a binger unless it's 7 days before my period, then I become a binger. I am when I am premenstrual, I I binge. I can control it during the day and then evening strikes and I had like six dinners the other day. I just kept nothing. I was like, "Man, that pasta was great. I could really go for a baked potato.
I think I'll make three just in case the kids want them." They didn't. I ate three baked potatoes.
Then I was like, "Those potatoes were excellent. I should I could really go for a bag of dried mangoes now." Not still didn't do it. So, I thought maybe a little chocolate will help. Didn't help. Maybe a little toast and almond butter. Maybe a little more protein. And I just kept going and going and going and going and going and going and going.
Man. And then I heard something that French people do. French people, I just think they know more than us. At least they think they do. But they I heard from a French woman once. Now, this woman, this French woman does drink her own urine. So take this advice or leave it. But she said that the French will if they overeat one day, they just undereat the next.
I mean, is that genius or is that genius? I kind of feel like I do that naturally. But if you overeat one day, just undereat the next.
I'm going to go to an overeaters anonymous meeting and just say that and go, "Guys, stop right there. If you overeat one day, just undereat the next.
And then I'm gonna walk out and they're gonna be like, "You you lanky. You don't know what it's like.
You string bean gumby looking.
You don't know what it's like." Cuz I don't. I grew up looking like a broom, a stick with hair, and a mop.
Cuz my dad is like a 6'4 mop. like he just is lanky, skinny, eats a lot, just one of those people.
So, I don't get it. But, um, what was I saying? Oh, yeah. Just went to this recovery meeting and it was amazing and I just had a great time and they were talking about being around alcohol and drugs when you're sober. And I talked about my experience with that.
I just went to Arizona with a bunch of my friends and they were drinking and I didn't want to drink. I didn't even want to drink. I smelled the smell of marijuana. That smelled nice. I liked the smell of that. I could appreciate that smell, but that was it. I just appreciated the smell.
Um, and then in other news, my kids got sick again after just being sick for a month and a half. And I feel stu I actually feel embarrassed. You know, when you get sick so much, it's embarrassing. Like, I'm actually embarrassed um about this. It's It feels I feel shame, like I've done something wrong because they were just sick for over a month. We all were. And then we were like okay for a time and now it's influenza.
Um and I'm I'm embarrassed. Like seriously, I'm not proud. And like, oh, is it mole? Everyone's like, Mole? Did you check for mold? No, it's not. It's actually not mold because other people are getting sick that aren't in like it's not that. But I will check, but it's not. Um, and then, oh, the struggle is, you know, especially with my son with autism, he's a very picky eater. So, is he deficient in something? Well, it could be, you know, because he's very picky. And so, I think I'm going to get his blood work done to make sure he's not. And what really me off about my son, sounds terrible, is that he won't take his multivitamins. For so many years, he loved his multivitamins. They make them taste like candy and he won't take them anymore. And that was my saving grace. I would do multivitamins and then smoothies with like protein supplements and just all their nutrients in there.
Stopped eat drinking the smoothies, stopped taking the multivitamins.
So, you know, he does get he certainly gets his protein, but um he's not eating like fruits and vegetables. He's not eaten a lot of those. You know, he I'm sure y'all struggle. Does anyone have a neurode divergent kid or just a very picky eater kid and you're just like like are they getting all their stuff the stuff they need?
Um but yeah, he went to the doctor the other day. Influenza.
Okay. Missed his field trip. So sad.
Yeah. But you know, it is what it is. Oh, here's what I was going to say about the recovery meeting is that I have really bad trust issues to the point where I think I might be a sexual anorexic.
I don't know why that just sounds funny to me, but I'm like listening to these women talk about, you know, their husband going away on a work trip and immediately my head's like, he he's away on a work trip. He's cheating. He's a cheater. He's a liar. He's a thief.
And that's what my head is saying. Like when anyone talks about their husband or their spouse going away on like a work trip for 3 weeks or two weeks or something, I immediately think you're a cheating, lying scumbag. That is so messed up.
I'm up in the head around men to the point where I don't ever want to be in a relationship again. Sure, have fun, flirt, fine. but an actual committed relationship.
Shoot me because I don't trust you. And then I think my algorithm knows how up I am around men and so it feeds me all men cheat. That's my algorithm is like this girl will be like I work in a male dominated field and field field and you wouldn't believe what men do the second they have the opportunity. If your man's faithful and hasn't cheated, that's because he hasn't had the opportunity.
So, you better be saving your money cuz he's It's not an if, it's a when, it's a yet.
He just hasn't had the opportunity. And I'm just getting fed this. It's going into my subconscious mind, you know, and uh I'm aware. I'm aware.
And I'm just listening to these women talk and I'm just thinking I'm spiraling for them, but they're not. They're just fine. Oh no. I said I actually asked one of the women. I said, "Do you ever get worried when he's gone? Like I don't want to be that person that's instilling, you know, paranoia." But I did just ask cuz I want to know like how she copes.
Like, do you ever wonder like him being away so much if he's, you know, ever unfaithful? Oh, no. He's from the Midwest.
He would never.
He's men from Michigan do not cheat.
It's a fact, not science.
All right.
And it's me, man. I mean, are you in a long-term relationship? Do you really just trust your partner?
And it's not to say that women don't cheat, too. I'm sure they do.
You just hear more about men cheating.
And it's me up and I feel bad. And my ex-husband cheated on me. And so, and I know that that's probably why I have issues, you know, and Yeah. And I guess actually my high school boyfriend cheated and I think one other one did.
Whatever.
My experience has influenced my issues, I'm sure. but also just my algorithm, you know, and to the point where like after I got separated from my husband going through this divorce and I got this boyfriend, I felt terrible for him because he didn't do anything wrong, but I was suspicious. I had trust issues and he didn't deserve that cuz he actually didn't do anything. He would say, "Oh, do you want to look at my phone? You can look at my phone." and you know um just did everything he could to try to make me feel secure and I would for periods but then I would get you know he would tell me like oh yeah I went to this um dive bar with my friend last night I'm like what you didn't tell me that why didn't you tell me that did you not tell me that because you were doing something you didn't want me to know about or do you just not have to tell me about every square inch of your life because that's psychotic he's like yeah I just didn't think to tell You didn't think to. He's like, "We were there for like 20 minutes, then we popped by one other one.
You You went to two dive bars and you didn't think to tell me?" He's like, "Whatever." It was It was nothing. I mean, some annoying girl came up to Really? Some annoying girl came up to you? Did she have Was she annoying because her were so big and they were flapping in your face? Is that why she was annoying? Was it annoying how fat her was? Was that was what was annoying?
Screw you.
So, it's like he's better off without me. Truly.
Truly.
And thanks to Bio Optimizers for sponsoring this episode. Okay, I need to talk about sleep for a second because I have been a disaster in this department for a little bit. Like I'll get into bed at a reasonable hour and then I'm tired and then I just don't sleep. I'm lying there running through everything that I forgot to do, everything I said wrong in 2017, just all of it. And then I wake up and I'm more tired than when I went to bed. And everything feels harder that day. My focus, my mood, my patience with my children, which is already like on a knife's edge. That's just my life right now, right? I thought it was just stress, but sometimes it's actually your body navigating the hormonal changes that come with age, and that's real. And that's why I started adding Magnesium Breakthrough by B by Boptimizers to my nightly routine. And what I really appreciate about it is that it's not just one type of magnesium. It's a blend of seven different forms designed to support relaxation, overall sleep quality in a more productive way.
I've been feeling more settled at bedtime, calmer, and I'm waking up without feeling completely wrecked, which for me is huge. People can't stop talking about the benefits, too. Deeper sleep, feeling calmer, better workout recovery, even improved digestion. But I don't recommend anything I haven't tried myself. So, I'm starting Magnesium Breakthrough, and I want to invite you to do the same with me. My challenge to you, try it. Track your sleep. Pay attention to how you feel. See if you wake up more rested and refreshed. You truly have nothing to lose and a whole lot to gain. And By Optimizers backs this with a 365day no questions asked money back guarantee. That's a full year zero risk. So join me over the next month. I'll be documenting my experience and I cannot wait to share how it goes.
If you're ready to feel more rested, head to byoptimizers.com/idiot and use my exclusive code idiot to get 15% off any order. And when you subscribe, you'll get great discounts, free gifts, and the peace of mind of never running out again. That's 15% off any order at byoptimizers.com/idiot.
Make 2026 the year you finally start sleeping great again. Now that I'm single and celibate, this is the most sane version of me. It is. It's It is.
I I can get jealous and insecure and then I ruminate, especially if the sex is good.
I don't need it in my life, which is why I'm considering sexual anorexia.
I mean, you can call it celibate. Just sexual anorexia has a ring to it.
It's also means I'm doing it because I don't want to get hurt. It's not just like and I think you know celibacy is good for me. What whatever the motivation is, if it's my tr my raging trust issues or the fact that um I don't want to be distracted like I'm writing this live show. I'm working so hard on it. Um, I even just hired this drama tur which sounds very fancy and she's really dissecting the story and helping me find the themes and connect the dots and make it into a work of art cuz I want to make something that's so magical for you and tour it around the world. That's what I want to do. And I find when I have a boyfriend, I will get distracted. My free time is spent going on dates, not working on my show. And you know, right now I my focus is just my children and my art. That's it. And friends, you know, but that that's it, man. And um I think if I was probably a little more mentally stable around with men, maybe I could swing it, but I'm not. I' I've realized that about myself and maybe that'll go away with time or something like that, but I find I just am better single, you know, with Steven. There were years where it worked. I think because we worked together, we were just creative together. So, I didn't I couldn't get distracted because he was there. So, we were making stuff all the time. and so I could be my funniest and most productive with the person I loved. So I think with him it worked. But then that was also our demise was the fact that we, you know, were married, we worked together, we lived together, we parented together, we did everything together. So then I'm laying in bed with my business partner and we were fighting about the algorithm, you know, um when we should have been like banging or something. Um, and so yeah, you know, there's pros and cons to everything, right? Uh, have you ever worked with a partner? And how did that go for you? What was that like? What were the pros? What were the cons? Would you do it again? Are you still doing it?
Do you regret it or do you love it? Let me know. For me, working with a partner worked for many years and then I think it actually destroyed things. But that's okay. It's actually okay. Uh, so yeah, trust issues raging. Anyone else have raging trust issues and just inherently not trust men? I love men. Don't get me wrong. I love men. Men are so much fun.
They're so fun and sexy and smart and like awesome in many different ways. Men are so much fun. But that's kind of like it, you know. Um, okay. just like be let's have fun and then just just go over there. Okay, thank you.
Anyway, enough about me. I had my friend Manning over and we laughed and laughed and laughed and had a great time cuz I always do. Do you have a best friend that just matches your energy just always and yeah, tag that friend. Tag that friend. We need that friend. And like as if Mannon was here, she would just start doing this. It's like we mirror each other and it's really freaky and I love it. And not all friends are like that. So when you find that friend, hold on to them.
Hold on to them forever and keep them in your basement.
Man's in my basement right now. Um, but enjoy her uh while she's free before I tie her back up. Um, Mannon, today we have the one, the only Manon.
Thank you so much, Mannon Matthews. You know her from the internet. You know her from the internet. And you know her from the inner web design. I'm a web designer.
>> She's a web designer.
>> And I think I'm a good web designer. And you can find me at man and designs.
>> You know the thing about her web design is you look at a spider's web design and it's nice.
>> It's not nearly.
>> Look at the way she designs webs.
is spectacular.
It's different.
>> You'll go home happy. You'll go home happy.
>> Yeah. Even if you're not a spider, >> regardless if you're a spider or not, you will.
>> How long have you been designing spiders webs? 16.
>> 16.
>> Uh, innerw webs and a half. Okay.
>> So, >> she designs both interwebs and spiderw webs.
>> Spiderw webs. uh for all sorts of events or just if you're looking to have your home kind of feel more like a home, >> right? Because that's what the Japanese call is as wobbishabi. It's >> it's a philosophy that talks about embracing imperfections. Spiderw webs are imperfections.
>> They're known to catch bad thoughts.
Kind of like a dream catcher. Spiderwebs in the corner of the house are really good fun for the Japanese.
>> I kind of sound like Kate McKinnon.
That's what I'm reminding myself of. Do you know who that is?
>> Little Yeah. Yeah. The girl from SNL.
>> That girl.
>> Of course I do. What happened to her though?
>> She's around. She's doing films.
>> What's she doing?
>> All sorts of stuff.
>> That's the thing. I don't watch movies anymore.
>> That's crazy.
>> So I don't know. Like I know she was on SNL like 5 years ago and I'm like I don't know. I just don't see her cuz I watch you on Tik Tok. I watch like my dentist Tik Tok. That's my content. But do you know But do you know people's names? What's this? Are you okay?
>> Yeah, I just had a burp.
>> That's a burp.
>> Yeah.
>> Since when did you start doing that, Laura?
>> Girl, you know me. I >> You started burping like a lunatic.
>> I've been burping like that since you know me and you know that >> I've never seen you burp like that. Not one time.
>> You know that's my court.
>> That's like your signature burp. No.
>> You know I'm not like other girls.
just head.
>> How do you get laid sparkling water?
That's what I want to know. Who would say, "You know what? Let's do it after seeing that."
>> I feel like there's a guy out there who would see that and be like, >> "Yeah."
>> No.
>> There's a guy out there jacking it to that in slow motion.
>> You think so?
>> No.
>> But you probably don't behave that way in front of males. Do you change?
>> I did with my ass.
>> Cuz I don't change. I'll pick my nose and fling it and Johnny's like, "What are you doing?"
>> That's really >> I don't change at all. Like what you see is what you're getting. You know how like some women are like, "Oh my god, I can't you can't watch me eat salad and like you're going to see me in full makeup when I wake up." Like what were you like as a dad?
>> Because you had a good relationship with your dad and he liked that you were the reason.
>> Yeah. And so you learn that funny is attractive >> and that's just like my theory of why you're so comfortable around men being yourself.
>> Yes.
>> Whereas my dad was like, "Why are you doing that to your face? Stop it."
>> Okay. But you had to over you didn't you had to overcome that and still go towards comedy. Terrible. Okay. What the was that?
>> My dad wanted to be me to be an editor.
>> He was like, "Be an editor. You're a face." I'm like, "You want me to be alone in a room in the dark?"
>> Why do you want you to be an editor?
>> He just thought I was good at it. And he said, "You got to follow what you're good at." I think people think that they have to become this thing. It's like, "How about you just do what you're good at?"
>> Really funny that he thinks you're good at editing cuz I can barely get to edit anything we have to do.
>> I knew this was coming.
>> Did you edit it again? We have six unedited videos from the last 3 years because they're sitting on my phone.
>> But you're good at it. You're procrastinating. I'm just not good at getting to it.
>> Wow. But once you sit down and do it, isn't it kind of fun when you get into there and there's the flow of it?
>> Yeah. And then you watch it and you're like, "Wow, I made that." Pretty cool.
>> You ever seen those AI uh those AI podcasts and no one knows their AI? How do they not know?
>> It's so clear cuz their mouth is not moving with what's what they're saying.
One thing you should never do is say ask someone how are you. Say the phrase I am happy to be here today or do you have any ex do you have anything exciting going on in your life right now?
>> The reason why your liver is not detoxing is because you are taking the wrong supplements.
>> You have microplastics in your liver and all over your body >> the size of a spoon. And without these >> and people comment and they're like like why does she know so much? How can I find the full video? It's like this isn't a human. How don't you know that?
>> These people have more followers than we do.
>> And then they just like go British for a second. Do you see that? Or their voice deepens or something.
>> Do it. They'll just be like I'm trying to think of another one. If you're not reading four books a day, then you are your brain is shrinking.
One of the reasons why your heels are hard as a rock is cuz you're not drinking lemon water.
>> Soften your heels with my lotion.
But then you look at their page and they have like 2 million followers. They're not following anyone and they're in the same location and it's clearly not a pure person.
>> Yeah. And they'll do like they'll get like an old Indian man.
>> Yes. I follow that guy. I love him. He has good tips, >> but not sod guru. Not an actual guru, an AI are in the Epstein files. No, I don't want any part of any real gurus.
>> Deepac Chopra.
>> Yeah.
>> Can you believe that? I kind of saw that coming.
>> You know what? I can >> I kind of am like, you know what? All these little know-it-alls, I don't trust a single one of you.
>> There were certain guided meditations from Deepak Chopra. I was like, I feel like he's audibly molesting me right now.
>> It was just very like predatory in his guided imitation.
>> I wouldn't even listen to them. I never even listened to them. I just knew I was like, nah, >> that's absolutely disgusting.
>> Anyway, um, >> how's it going? Fatherhood.
>> Motherhood. I feel like I'm a bad one.
>> Why?
>> I just never feel like I'm good enough.
This morning he woke up and he wanted cookies and chips and he would not I put I put eggs, >> strawberries and yogurt on a plate beautifully and he said no cookie.
>> I mean it doesn't sound like >> what did you do when he said that?
>> I went please just eat this and you can have a cookie after please. I went please.
and he said no and he had a fit and then I was like well I want him to eat something before school and you gave him >> so I gave him it wasn't like a cookie it's like a healthy cookie >> not going to give him like a chocolate chip cookie even though that's what I ate before school >> cuz there's an age that he's now he's two >> yeah Poppy we used to eat anything lent spicy lentil curry broccoli she'd be like broccoli please like just so healthy and then and then she just switched one day and it was all chips and just ew that's gross ew That's gross. Vegetable gross. Ew. And just want wants garbage sucks.
>> And it's just I think it could be that their taste buds are so strong. I don't who know I don't know what I'M TALKING ABOUT. IT'S hard though cuz this week I'm doing it alone, which I commend you on cuz you're like home alone with them a lot, you know, and taking them to school. It's like such an ordeal. And this morning I'm with him alone and at 5:30 in the morning he has me in a headlock screaming and and so it's still dark out and I'm just in a headlock and I'm like this is so interesting. If anyone was watching this right now like you're like is my 2-year-old about to murder me?
>> Yeah. But he loves me. He loves me so much.
>> Yeah.
>> And I guess >> I feel hang on my back like that and sometimes it gets my neck and I'm like >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
>> Yeah. So, I feel like I'm like I don't feel like I'm doing a great job to be honest. I mean, I'm there, but their diet's not ideal.
>> The diet's not ideal. And then I feel like it affects their mood. And then I'm like, see, if you would have just had eggs, you would have been balanced. But now that you had a cookie and some chips, you're going to be annoying all day for the people to take care of.
>> And it's your fault. It's my fault because I don't have structure enough.
What am I supposed to do? How long do I wait?
>> Do you know how much screen time my kids watch?
>> Oh no.
>> It's horrific. It's terrible. Cuz that's the thing. I'm like, finally get to the end of the day and I just want to unwind for a minute. So, I'm going to put on a damn movie. I'm going to put on Pulp Fiction and they can watch that.
>> Yeah. Yeah. My son loves White Lotus.
>> It's his favorite show.
>> My daughter's favorite movie is American Pie.
>> They must really love Jennifer Culage.
>> She loves loves Jennifer.
>> I'm taking the dark.
>> She says that to her teacher all the time.
>> Does she? Yeah.
>> Yeah. She calls her teacher dance.
>> Really? What does the teacher say?
>> I said, "Where did you learn that?" She said, "You."
>> You You taught me this when you showed me American Pie.
>> We can't be perfect.
>> It's not that big of a deal. So what?
They have cookies for breakfast. They watch R-rated movies.
>> Big deal.
>> What else?
>> What else is the problem?
>> So what?
>> Sleeps in your bed all night. Both of them.
>> Put the car in dog mode. I'm getting a coffee. Stay there. In dog mode. Yeah, >> the air is on.
>> Yeah, >> they kick it out on there should be fine.
>> Big [ __ ] deal.
Sue me.
I think we're doing great.
>> So, are you dating anyone?
>> No.
>> Good.
>> Still celibate?
>> I think it's four months now.
>> Good. It's a distraction.
>> You don't need any such distraction. I don't care what anyone says. I don't care how balanced and self-loving you are. A new relationship is never not a distraction cuz you have the honeymoon phase and all your freaking oxytocin and all is going crazy, right?
>> I have a friend who constantly just lives in the honeymoon phase and I just never see them.
>> You never see them cuz it's like a drug.
It's like a very potent drug.
>> Oh, yeah. It's the most addict. I have I was more addicted to that than I ever was to like alcohol or sugar.
>> They say love is the most potent drug out there.
>> It's the best, isn't it?
>> It is.
>> Especially new when you're like the mystery and you're like, "Oh my god, are they going to call? Are they are we going to see that pulse >> and then they text you and you're you get that hit every time?"
>> Yeah.
>> Oh my god. And then and then you go like when you're newly dating.
>> Oh, wait. I have a kid. I don't know if I can do that. Oh my god. You know what I just realized? I don't think I've thought about the future of me being dirty. I don't think I can be dirty in any way. What about River?
>> Did you see the sketch we just shot 5 minutes ago?
>> I know, but I just talked about watching gang bangs on the internet.
>> Oh my god. I should not Maybe don't post that, >> girl. I'm posting it. I'm sorry.
>> Oh my god. You know what? I've never thought about this.
>> River's going to think that's hilarious when he's >> in 20 years.
Yeah.
Do >> you think social media be around that long?
>> Perhaps. And I just think it's not for what you're making. What this is is not for 2-year-olds. Pulp fiction, White Lotus, that's for 2-year-olds. But what we're doing, this is adult content.
>> This is a porno.
>> I don't want to be in a porno.
>> You're already in one, baby. You're in one right now.
>> I don't want to do it.
>> Wait, are you really concerned? You're not.
>> I just got concerned. I've never thought about it.
>> It would be one thing if you were doing Only Fans >> and your kid was going to see that.
>> Do you remember we went We had We had a solid month a few years ago where we were considering solid month.
>> I was this close.
>> It was really you. I was not I don't know.
>> I was excited. I Yes. I was pre-kid and I was like, you know what? How nice would that be to finally get in touch with my femininity dress in like lingerie and make money?
Yeah.
>> I thought, well, she's making 250 a month. Whoever she is, I don't know.
>> No, but there was you had a friend who was making I thought they were making 30K a month. They were making $250,000 a month.
>> Her first month she made 80,000. And I was like, I'm going to just do this.
>> And it was just photos, right?
>> Yeah. I would never do nude.
>> I heard that that there's one girl, Bella Thorne, makes a million dollars a month. See, and she and she does lingerie and bikini and stuff like that, >> you know. Maybe I'll circle back to that idea because Heat. Heat.
