[00:00:01]Hello friends, I'm Dr. Saraa, consultant urologist at Prity Urology Hospital, KPHB. It is very common for pregnant mothers to undergo ultrasound scan and sometimes in this ultrasound scan there can be a report saying the baby's kidneys are swollen. So at this point one need not panic because this swelling of the baby is easily manageable most of the times. Many times after delivery, after the baby grows up, this swelling can disappear totally and even if not our job is to just do a follow-ups checkup scan of the mother every 1 month or 2 months until delivery and after delivery once the baby is born we have many options available for giving complete cure to to the baby.

[00:01:01]So please do not panic and bring the baby to us. We will take care by doing ultrasound scan whether swelling is there or not. And if the swelling is there we do some additional test to find out the reason and most of the times by simple surgeries which is robotic surgery available a keyhole surgery can cure the problem most of the times. So do not panic if you see the baby's kidney has swelling in ultrasound scan.
