In computer science, nondeterminism refers to uncertainty in execution time rather than randomness in outcomes; nondeterministic algorithms are guaranteed to produce correct results but cannot predict when they will complete, distinguishing them from stochastic systems which involve probabilistic outcomes.

The Difference of Nondeterminism & StochasticityAjouté :
The big takeaway here, the most important piece of all of this, is that this is the essentially the built-in nomenclature in the scientific community.
And so, when we use the word nondeterminism, we tend to mean nondeterministic in time, not in outcome.
So, the idea here is that these uh solutions that you're going to propose to these problems, they're going to get the answer.
You just don't know when they're going to get the answer, but they're all going to get the answer, and it's going to be the right answer.
And so, the nondeterministic piece here simply means we don't know when this is going to complete.
