Dr. Brown to Tenak Talk: Let’s Debate!

[00:00:00]Well, check this out. I kind of wanted to debate this guy now cuz this is way easier than I thought it would be. All right, so this is a video from the gentleman on the Tovia Talk Channel on YouTube and uh let's do it. Let's have a formal at length debate. Get a few other gentlemen if you want to to join you and and let's let's do a a full length live online debate. We can really get into things and dig deep into the Hebrew text and and we'll ask who who is the the servant of the Lord in the book of Isaiah. We'll be very specific. Who is the suffering servant in the book of Isaiah? And we'll open it up and and we'll have cross-examination and go back and forth and you can challenge me and I can challenge you and no rhetoric no no rhetoric no no performance just digging into the text. How about we do it? So, the context here in the early 90s I debated Rabbi Tovia Singer. There's a there's a myth about why he won't debate me again is completely false and we've debunked that and I'll come back to that in another video. But we debated in the early 90s and then over the decades his work shifted from this quote counter-missionary work so a Jewish person comes to faith in Jesus and he tries to work with that person to pull them away from Jesus. But he just began attacking the faith of Christians in general Gentile Christians and others more aggressively than any counter-missionary that I know. I'm I'm friends colleagues with other counter-missionaries. We've interacted at length over the years. But Rabbi Singer aggressively started going after the faith of Christians in general and and I've got I don't know 3,500 videos online something like that but we probably did about 20 just responding to some of his objections because very commonly people ask about it. We've been able to help people in their faith through this. So, we put some videos out and we started putting a few out again recently and and somehow it looks like we hit a nerve with the folks at Tovia Talk. In fact, they they had this to say to me in this video rebuttal that they put out. Uh Michael Brown is attacking Tovia Singer.

[00:02:03]Uh I guess that's his life work is to piggyback off of Tovia Singer's teachings. Michael Brown just wants to use Rabbi Singer as a platform to be able to get his name out there more.

[00:02:14]Um he is already popular but he is so desperate to get Tovia Singer again just so that they can become more famous and all this other stuff and And there's other late people who go after Michael Brown and who do an [clears throat] incredibly good job of it as far as that goes. I have to confess going into this I was kind of scared cuz it's got all this hype and all this this pump up about Dr. Michael Brown who baddest dude in the universe. This is like talk This is like talking to a four-year-old with this guy. I mean he everything he's doing is so elementary and he's not even going through anything that's really rich at all. That he's making it look like came back to Christianity because of him. I think he's full of crap. I think the people who are leaving are staying gone and I think that's his damage control cuz he's not he's not giving you examples of all these people to begin with and all the people who are watching him are people who never believed in in the counter-missionary work to begin with. But I think they're shills. Look >> think they ever left Christianity. I don't think they ever you know because of something Tovia said I don't think they ever really left Christianity but they're talking about it as if they do because it gives credibility back again to Michael Brown.

[00:03:35]>> Yep. So, here's here's what I want to do. Again, let let's do the debate by all means. And of course I'd love to debate Rabbi Singer.

[00:03:42]He's he's a well-known internet counter-missionary. Of course it would be very edifying very helpful for Jews for Christians in general. We could really dig into the text. We could make it multi-day.

[00:03:54]Did that recently spent about eight hours over weekend debating. So, we'd do it around Shabbat we could other time of the week with many hours. Let's do it.

[00:04:03]Again, no rhetoric just digging into the biblical text and and seeing what it says and and and seeing who's accurately representing the Hebrew text etc. So, anyway, here's what I'm going to do.

[00:04:15]I'm going to take the time a bunch of claims were made uh by the Tovia Talk gentlemen. I don't know them personally.

[00:04:23]They they made a bunch of claims and I'm going to do a video hopefully in the next couple of weeks and go through it point for point and just refute rebut just based on facts. Just based on facts and since these gentlemen think that I'm making things up uh that that what I'm talking about people who've left the faith and come back through our through our videos by God's grace left the faith because of Rabbi Singer and come back to the faith through through the truth that we presented. Um Well, well I'll do that. I'll I'll I'll show you the the screenshots of of this the the the people that I've seen online that have contacted us. I'm sure there's there's so many others that I don't know about. And you know, Yeshua Jesus said this to to Jewish people that were following him but were they serious or not? He said, "Hey, you'll know the truth and the truth will set you free.
