3-year-old, subject of Tennessee Amber Alert, found in attic

[00:00:01]Oh, I balled my eyes out. I got the I got the call while I was at work. And then after I got off work, I came here.

[00:00:07]>> We begin tonight with breaking news in Clarksville where the frantic search for that missing 3-year-old boy is now over.

[00:00:14]Tyler Hall was last seen at his home off of Realfoot Lynn Drive just before noon today. We're told the boy's in foster care and that his guardian is the one who called 911. Now a long list of agencies joined the search that went on for more than 7 hours when their prayers were finally answered. Our Kelly Avellino's live now tonight at the central command area off Lafayette Road in Clarksville near the home. Kelly, where did they find this young fellow?

[00:00:42]>> Scott, Clarksville police confirm that boy was hiding in the attic heavily concealed they say as that search went on for hours. Tyler was taken to Vanderbilt Clarksville Hospital just as a precaution, but so many prayers answered, so many sighs of relief came down just after 7:30 when we learned that Tyler had finally been located. The mood here in the staging area completely changed, immediately lifted. It was packed with law enforcement vehicles and different officers from many different agencies. They've cleared out at this point. I could tell you just before noon his guardian, Tyler's guardian, had called 911 to report him missing. Those agencies were immediately on the ground from Clarksville police, Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, TBI, as well as Fort Campbell Criminal Investigative Division as well. Officials had asked for the public to stay away from the area. They had blocked off a bunch of streets because they didn't want uh too many scents from other humans interfering with the canines. This is a residential area and a pretty wooded area as well with a number of ditches and such causing a whole lot of concern, hence the Amber Alert. Tyler's previous daycare teacher showed up here on scene.

[00:01:55]She was speaking with us. Uh she tells us he is absolutely the sweetest boy, already so empathetic of others, and that he has had multiple foster families in recent months.

[00:02:06]>> He has been with some really amazing families. I had the opportunity of meeting him through child care. Um I've been his daycare teacher for the last 7 months, and I've just gotten to see him grow and blossom into this a really amazing young man, and I really think despite his circumstances, I really do think he has potential, and I know he's out there somewhere just waiting for someone to find him.

[00:02:28]>> And Tyler was absolutely found just under 2 hours ago, again after that large-scale search and many frantic moments. The State Department of Children's Services was also here on scene. The investigation continues into what exactly happened here, but I can tell you things are much calmer now. The parking lot completely cleared out except for us media, and tonight we do have a happy ending that Tyler is okay.
