The video establishes a firm theological boundary that prioritizes scriptural exclusivity over cultural synthesis. It effectively highlights the inherent tension between monotheistic dogma and traditional ancestral reverence.

Why Christians shouldn't worship our ancestors本站添加:
My cousin going to call my phone storm with me, talking about some I don't understand why you pray to that white Jesus anyway. I said for the same reason you date white men.
Cuz he got good credit.
She going to tell me some no, you need to be praying to your ancestors. I said I'm not praying to Auntie Emma Jean.
I'm not praying to Auntie Emma Jean cuz she gave bad advice when she was alive.
She going to tell me some I pray to my ancestors every single day.
I said I could tell.
I could tell. She said to me what you mean by that? I said cuz you look like a walking generational curse.
You look like all the bad bad advice in our family.
So I can tell I can tell you you praying to.
You must not get the pic.
>> [snorts] >> Man, God is so good, right? Now, everybody knows that Jesus was not white, but there's this narrative out there that the Christian religion is only for white people. I'm here to debunk that. I know that people don't want to follow Jesus, they'd rather do the African ancestral worship. Those are demons though, guys. Do not spend your time worshiping demons. Let me show you some videos, guys, on why this is something that you need to be careful with if you're doing that. Ancestral worship is everywhere now, from TikTok rituals to Black Panther. It's all over pop culture. And because of it, we see more people calling on their ancestors for protection and guidance. Of course, I get it. For many of us, it's a way to stay connected to the ones that we lost.
For some, it's a way to stay connected to their indigenous roots. But here's the truth. Trying to communicate with your ancestors isn't harmless, it's communication with the dead. God's word is extremely clear on how he feels about communication with the dead. In Deuteronomy 18, this style of necromancy is seen as detestable by the Lord. Not because God doesn't want you connected to your family and your ancestors. No, because spirits know nothing. You have no idea what spirits are actually answering you. You think it's an ancestor, but the Bible specifically tells us the dead knows nothing. You see, the enemy loves to use something called familiar spirits. These familiars use things that you're familiar with to connect with you. So, yes, the sweet way that your grandmother used to talk to you, that way that bacon only smelled when your grandfather cooked it a specific way. For me, he used the scent of the top of my son's head who passed away only at 6 months old. So, yes, if anybody would love to be able to speak to someone who passed on, it's me. I would love to have conversations with my boy. But, I know that the devil will try his best to use the pain that I feel from losing him to distract me from Jesus. So, if you've been setting up altars, leaving things out in ways to communicate with your ancestors, stop.
It's not them. Pray, give that longing to God because you can't get guidance from the dead, but you get it from the true and living God. Conviction over comfort, follow me if you're into that.
Shalom. Yeah, so we got a lot of people in the comments. Um this person right here says, "You haven't been in Africa, South Africa to be exact. That is part of our culture.
It is highly respected and ancient. It was done from a very long time and is still practiced to date. I It might be trendy in the US or any other part of the world, but here it is what people are. I'm South African and I was born and raised in that, but now I choose Jesus.
But, it's so difficult to educate people on that because they just think that you're crazy or young or too young to understand. I think we should work harder to spread the word. Some have found Christ, while others think that God and ancestors can coexist, meaning they worship both. This is serious.
This guy says, "Culture is an excuse.
That simple." I know that in the in the motherland, it is very hard for people to understand the confusion that has been spread across, but or because the lie is multi-layered, not two-dimensional. So, I think he's correct that it is an excuse. Um I understand that people also feel like since it's been done for so long by many that come before us, that it's the right way to do things. I'm going to give you this example about this person that was making meatloaf, and every time they made the meatloaf, they put it in two pans. And so, down the lineage, every time they got grandma's recipe, they made it in two pans.
Well, so one day, the granddaughter asked the grandmother, "Grandma, why do we always have meatloaf split in half?"
And she's like, "Oh, because I never had a pan big enough." So, just because your grandmother did it one way doesn't mean that it's the correct way to do it, right? It goes the same thing with this African spiritual worship. Just because our ancestors before us did it, doesn't mean that it's the right thing to do.
Because the Bible's clear on how to be saved. The Bible's clear on who to worship. The Bible's clear that necromancy and talking to the dead are not allowed. And there's a comment right here that refers to that. I totally agree with you, yet I'm still puzzled on how Sam Samuel was summoned from the dead for answers. How he was summoned was he went to a witch. The witch of uh Endor, I think it was what it was. Let's pull that up. First Samuel 28:7-25.
Then Saul said to his servants, "Seek out for me a woman who is a medium that I may go to her and inquire of her." And his servant said to him, "Behold, there is a medium at Endor." So, Saul disguised himself and put on other garments and went, he and two men with him. And they came to the woman by night, and he said, "Divine for me by a spirit and bring up for me whomever I shall name to you." The The said to him, "Surely you know what Saul has done, how he has cut off the mediums and the necromancers from the land.
Why then are you laying a trap for my life to bring about my death? But Saul swore to her by the Lord, "As the Lord lives, no punishment shall come upon you for this thing." Then the woman said, "Whom shall I bring up for you?" He said, "Bring up Samuel for me." When the woman saw Samuel, she cried out with a loud voice. And the woman said to Saul, "Why have you deceived me? You are Saul." The king said to her, "Do not be afraid. [clears throat] What do you see?" And the woman said to Saul, "I see a god coming up out of the earth." He said to her, "What is his appearance?"
And she said, "An old man is coming up, and he is wrapped in a robe." And Saul knew that it was Samuel. And he bowed his face to the ground and paid homage.
Then Samuel said to Saul, "Why have you disturbed me by bringing me up?" Saul answered him, "I am in great distress, for the Philistines are warring against me, and God has turned away from me and answers me no more, either by prophets or by dreams. Therefore, I have summoned you. Tell me what I shall do." And Samuel said, "Why then do you ask me, since the Lord is turned from you and become your enemy? The Lord has done to you as he spoke by me. For the Lord has torn the kingdom out of your hand and given it to your neighbor David. Because you did not obey the the voice of the Lord and did not carry out his fierce wrath against Amalek, therefore the Lord has done this thing to you this day.
Moreover, the Lord will give Israel also with you into the hand of the Philistines. And tomorrow, you and your son shall be with me. The Lord will give the army of Israel also into the hand of the Philistines. Now, we see here that Saul has been rejected for what he did with Amalek. And Samuel is dead. Saul's been praying to God. God's not answering his prayers, as he told Saul he would do through Samuel before his death. So, Saul tries to circumnavigate that and goes to a spiritist, uh someone that can speak to the dead through necromancy.
And that's witchcraft. And not only that, but just because it's demonized and you can't do it doesn't mean that it didn't work. This necromancer brought Samuel back from the dead and Samuel even is like, "Why did you bring me back from the dead? Why why are you seeking me when you already have the answer?"
Right? It's not okay. And just because Saul did it doesn't mean that it's allowable, right? And so in these videos that we see on ancestral worship, people try to act like it's okay. It's clearly told not to do it in the Bible and times don't The Bible doesn't change just because the times do, right? Well, there are all the devils of the culture back then. No, culture's still the same, dog.
We're not changing the Bible. We're not rocking differently just because you want to allow for some sin to be okay.
It ain't happening over here, not on my watch, Jack.
>> You're not crazy. Something can feel cultural and be spiritually dangerous.
Watch this shift. I'm Rooted Mama and I'm making biblical truth so simple that even a kid can understand it. Let's talk about ancestor worship because it's being renamed, softened, and slipped into Christian spaces. One, honoring ancestors is biblical. Worshiping ancestors is not. Exodus chapter 20 verse 3, God gives the first commandment making it very clear that worship belongs to him alone. Remembering family history is fine. Praying to ancestors crosses the line into idolatry.
Ephesians 5:11, expose it. Two, the dead does not guide the living. Isaiah chapter 8 verse 19, God rebukes Israel from seeking guidance from the dead instead of seeking him. People say my ancestors are watching over me, that replaces the Holy Spirit with a completely different source.
Ephesians 5:11, expose it. Three, the Bible forbids communication with the dead. Deuteronomy chapter 18 verses 10 through 12, God lists practices like consulting spirits and calls them detestable because they invite deception. Ancestral altars, offerings, or asking ancestors for wisdom falls under the same category. Different name, same practice. Expose it. Four, Jesus is the only mediator between heaven and earth. First Timothy 2:5. Paul explains that access to God comes from Christ alone. You don't need ancestors to intercede for you when Jesus already did. Expose it. Five, identity comes from Christ, not lineage. Second Corinthians 5:17. Salvation creates a new identity and a new spiritual family.
You are not spiritually bound to ancestral spirits.
You are free in Christ. Expose it.
Honoring your family history is not sinful, but seeking power, protection replaces God as the source. And anything that replaces God, no matter how cultural, emotional, or traditional, is darkness disguised. Go go ahead and save it. It's darkness disguised. Go go ahead and save it. Save it for later. And share this with somebody who needs this biblical clarity today. And so, yeah, man, said pretty plain and simple. I don't think that I really [clears throat] don't think that this is a an argument that will ever be won. It's never going to go away. It's something that's always been around, but what we can do is we can expose it like she said, and we can try to lead one soul at a time to Jesus through the truth of the gospel, through the truth of what they're doing, cuz a lot of people just don't know. Like the unique said to to Philip, how how will I know unless someone shows me? How will I know unless someone guides me? This is why discipleship is so important, guys. So, I really pray that this video lands where it's supposed to, that the Holy Spirit pushes this in front of the people that need to see it. So, that way he can get all the glory, and people will be awakened to the truth of what they're doing. I'll leave all these videos that I reacted to linked down below in the description, so that way you can follow them as well as to give them credit for their videos. That's going to do it for this one. I'll catch you guys on the next one. Until then, God bless.
