When a beloved racing driver passes away, the racing community often responds with collective grief and demonstrates ethical business practices by maintaining fair pricing on merchandise rather than exploiting the tragedy for profit, as exemplified by Salvinos Jr. Models' decision to keep Kyle Bush's model cars on sale at wholesale prices during the period of mourning.

Are you ready? Let's go.
Heat.
Heat.
Hey Guys, good morning. How are you guys doing?
>> Morning.
>> Morning.
>> Morning.
>> So, we've been we've been discussing we've been discussing the the happenings of the week and uh uh you know, we can we can kick it off with with uh NASCAR's biggest loss in quite some time. Um we're going to hit it someplace. This is as good a time as any.
>> Yeah.
Come on. Come on up here.
Well, well, we lost Biffle, too. It's been hadn't been a good year.
>> Yeah.
>> And uh and then losing losing an active driver that's uh you know, he's he's one of the more important drivers of this generation.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> He just >> not Friday.
>> The Friday before. Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> Last Friday.
>> Yeah. The last Friday.
>> Yeah. I mean, we I read it in the morning that he wasn't going to run. You know, I was in the uh going to the hospital and I I just, you know, everyone just figured he had, you know, whatever an infection or something.
>> Yeah.
>> And by by the time I got down to meet my friends at Mickey's bar in uh bar, Irish pub in uh in Har uh what is that?
Fullerton. Downtown Fullerton. They told me he passed away and I go, "No way."
Yeah.
>> You know what I mean?
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. Yeah.
>> And then I looked on Robin Peton, my friend, uh, the, you know, crew chief for Petty a couple years and then ran Westy and then worked for NASCAR.
>> Yeah.
>> He he had a post and it was like, holy, >> I didn't know what to think.
>> Yeah.
>> You know, >> and so I didn't I didn't think about it, you know what I mean? I because we went and played, you know, my my band, we went and played for about two, three, three hours about >> and I and we get no reception in that room >> cuz it's all uh um soundproof, you know, and stuff, >> right?
>> I come out and I didn't even think about it beforehand. Um, I come out and I mean everything Kyle Bush we have is it looked like it was we ran the club, you know, credit cards. It was that big. And uh, >> and all a sudden I started thinking, "Oh crap, we only have a few of some of these cars, right?" So, I'm sitting here driving an hour home on the freeway trying to erase the dang cars because I don't want to, you know, refund everyone's money, right? I think we're okay. I haven't counted them. We'll count them on Tuesday. But, uh, we do have the the, uh, barrel cars. And of course, uh, dealers, you know, couple dealer friends call me and, uh, hey, they're getting like a hundred or something like that for each one. And Marco had put the, uh, barrel cars on sale cuz we had bought a few and we had some left over. And so, uh, me and Jim talked and we go, man, that would be wouldn't it wouldn't be right to rate, you know?
>> Yes. to they're they're still on sale for 20 off till they're gone. Buy them.
Enjoy them. God bless you, Cal Bush. And you're >> you know I I have strong faith. I know all three of us do. And uh >> we all know he's he's fine. I feel bad for his family, friends, and fans and you know all those people >> cuz I've just myself. We all have, you know, and uh it it sucks.
>> It does, >> you know, we we all have, you know, whether whatever you believe in, I don't know, you know, >> and you know, I think that that was the right decision is if we had them on sale, we keep the sale. We don't even bring them up to the regular prices.
>> It would be we we could say we're the we're the last source of them. So, we're pumping up the cost because there aren't any that's just No, that is, >> you know, that that's >> un I couldn't do it. Yeah. I mean, me and Jim both, it was just like, no way.
You know what I mean? Marco asked me, he goes he, you know, like he almost was afraid to ask when I seen him when I got home.
>> He goes, "What do you want to do?" He goes, I go, "It's not right." And he looked at me. He go shook his head. He goes, "No, it's not right." Then I and it was night. So then I talked to Jim in the morning and Jim goes, "No, no way."
You know, I I just, >> you know, I have to run it by everybody, but I strongly It wasn't even a second question. You know what I mean? It was like, "No, that would be horrible." I mean, we're proud to have done his cars, and I'll tell you right now, they were in the top three. He was in the top three of ourselves.
>> Yeah. He even even when he had weird cars, you know, >> you know, I would love to do that zone car because it's it's it's striking.
>> We always talked about that. Yeah.
>> But but being that it's a it's a CBD thing, I think, um, you know, it's kind of questionable, but but uh I I don't >> Yeah, it's sad news. It really is.
little kids and >> and you know we were talking uh I I'll let the people in on our little conversation. We're talking about uh Kyle and I told them I liked him better when he was in the Eminem car before he met his wife, you know, when he was that smart smart like I go ever since he met this beautiful girl and had a family, he's freaking Richard Petty now. He became a, >> you know, he's just a lovable, you know, fan friendly guy. I mean, I like the I like the kid that came out of, you know, Vegas that nobody like him and his brother, you know what I mean?
>> Cuz think of where they came from. I mean, nothing. Literally nothing. Sheer talent, >> you know? I don't know we'll see many of those anymore. No, it's kind of the end of an arrow kind of thing.
>> Well, there's there's always talent, but are you gonna find talented a talented family of a couple brothers that are going to be >> We were saying >> Leon the closest to it is Leani brothers, right?
>> Yeah.
>> Well, the Flock Flock Fi and Tim Flock them were two great brothers.
>> Allison's >> Oh, yeah. Donnie. Yeah, Donnie and But who won two both championships? Only Leanis. Fonnie never won.
>> True.
>> I don't think Fonnie won a championship, did he? No. Tim did.
>> This is way back before any of us were born. But uh but I still remember the history, you know. But I never met Fonnie Faulk. I met Tim.
>> Yeah. I don't think Fonnie ever won a championship, but the Lebanon brothers both won championships and the Bush brothers both won championships. That's pretty freaking amazing, man. You know, >> there's been father and sons and Jarretts, you know, and Donnie Donnie never won a championship, but uh but Bobby did.
But yeah, they were great, both those guys. But that so few >> so few. I mean, you have Michael and Daryl, >> you know, they both won Daytona. That's something.
>> Yeah, that's true.
>> Michael won three races and probably made more money than most racers.
>> His announcing >> the Wallace brothers, Rusty and Kenny.
>> Yeah, Kenny. Yeah. But I mean, >> Kenny's Kenny's better at what he's doing.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know how good of a driver he was, but he is fun to watch.
>> I watched his wife. I always liked him.
He just >> Yeah.
>> But yeah, it's sad. I mean, it's it's you know what it is. It's just wife, kids, >> mothers, fathers, you know, you're not supposed to bury your kids, you know.
>> Yeah.
>> And that's just so hard on families, man. But, uh, God bless him, man. He was uh definitely he was a show for a lot of years, man.
>> Yes, he was.
>> A lot of years and gave us all great entertainment.
>> I was hoping that one one of these years we were going to be able to uh to do a uh do a father and son's son legends cars to do do him and uh and uh and Brexton and and the Legends cars. that would uh you know that that would actually doing a legend cart that would be good for bringing the the younger crowd into building models but I know the investment the investment in that has just doubled thank you thank you tariffs but you know it is >> that yeah I mean we might see that kid up there someday you know who knows >> it's hard to tell you know um >> you know I don't know that probably the last thing anyone's thinking about, you know.
>> Yeah, >> there's a bunch of them. Boyer's kid, I think, races Kyle Larson's kid. Uh >> Harvick's kid.
>> Harvick's kid. Yeah.
>> Oh, yeah. That he's doing a lot.
>> Yeah. So, I don't know. But uh yeah, it's uh I mean he was definitely either you were rooting for him or you were rooting against him, but you were always he was always part of the conversation for a good what 10 years in his prime, you know, >> where it was like I mean he was the guy that beaten that Eminem's car.
>> Yep. You know, something just occurred to us. We're we're trying to figure out these these these siblings, these brothers racing. And we dropped the ball on three sisters.
Force.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> The Force girls. Yeah. So, once again, it's it's rare. It's rare in all.
>> Only one of them won a championship.
>> Yeah. But they were But they were all good.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
So anyway, but anyway, yeah, sad news are terrible and I don't know, you you just don't even know what to say and things like that. Just a shocker.
>> Just a shocker.
But uh anyways, well, you know what?
Growing up the it was a monthly occurrence >> in in my lifetime, you know, where you know, it usually happened on the track though, you know.
>> Yeah. And it was it was extremely tragic.
>> It was expected. Yeah. But >> it was Yeah. So, um yeah, I don't know.
Don't even have words for it other than God bless them and >> Yep.
>> I hope you know >> that's an itch.
>> I hope everybody gathers around the family and >> yeah, >> you know, we all move forward. We're all going to watch the world 600 and I think everybody will do a little piece on him which is >> absolutely >> and uh we'll watch the Indie 500. They put him on the poll by the way. Did you see that?
>> The uh the big column at Indie.
>> Yep. I saw that.
>> They put they put a picture of him and put the years, you know. Pretty cool.
>> Wow.
>> That's an honor. Yeah, that was a heck of a >> heck of a >> So anyways, but we got the Indy500 >> that we do >> and uh >> everyone stays safe. We don't need any more tragedy.
>> We have a couple of clean races and you know we got >> trucks tonight. We got uh Infinity >> got one, two, and then we got >> Bush.
>> Yeah, got a ride.
>> Bush sportsman.
>> Bush. Yeah, Bush. There you go. Thank you.
>> Bushman.
>> We'll be running the Bush Sportsman.
>> Yep.
>> They'll be doing those.
>> And then do Is this the right uh clicker?
>> There we go.
>> Bam. Pull winner.
>> There we go. Yeah, we got that out. You can pre-order it. It's going to be a short run.
>> You will get the road course decals with that as well. It don't have the road course wings. You have to buy them separate. But Clay, when he draws that up, will include the road course wing decals.
>> Is he going to do the driver suit?
>> Yes, he's doing the driver's suit and the helmet. Yes.
>> Cool, cool, cool, cool. But >> they complain every time, but I make them do it.
It's an open wheel car. Come on. To me, it's set at the standard. You get helmet decals.
>> They didn't put the driver's suit decals in, >> but they put the helmet decals.
>> Well, we uh >> we don't have to be limited by what other people did.
>> That's right.
>> So, the Sado has all the the uh he turned it in without the helmet decals.
No, no, no.
That that took a lot of research cuz he had no art. That's how good this guy is, >> Clay.
>> Mhm.
>> No art for that s car. And he he pinpointed every piece on that thing and helmet. I mean, no art. Did it all. You know, guy's talented >> that with being talented. We just keep asking for more.
>> Yeah.
It's like my my dad used to he used to be able to do >> he used to be able to do a lot of stuff and if he ran into a situation where where he he didn't didn't know how to do it couldn't do it we figured he was just being lazy and lying that he didn't want to do it.
>> Yeah.
>> See >> see Klay has that me Clay's a Clay's an artist like you Jim and Clay can't do it shitty. You know what I mean? He just doesn't have it.
>> He No, he can't. Clay can't half ass.
>> If he's going to do it, >> it's got to be right.
>> You know what I mean?
>> Yep.
>> I mean, he's checking every little sponsor decal. I mean, that guy, if he messes up, that's one in a, >> you know, hundred or whatever. You know what I mean?
>> It's pretty rare, right? I I know he's made a couple little stumbles on some of our stuff, but but really it's it's rare.
>> He's amazing. so many is we are getting across his desk.
>> So yeah, >> we are we're very fortunate to have Clay >> doing stuff and if uh you know we're this weekend we're going to have an on on the scene reporter and but he's not going to report to us but he's going to be at the race.
>> But uh No, I don't think Klay's going this year.
>> Really?
>> I I forgot he has something he has to I forgot. Mike told me. I didn't talk to Clay. I I I got Clay so busy I haven't bothered him but uh but uh yeah. No, he I forgot what he's got going. But uh gonna be a great race, man. What you know uh I don't know. We'll we'll do our picks at the end of the show, but uh I'm so to me I I explain to the guys in the band, they they don't get it right. I go, the Indy500 to me is Christmas, my birthday, and everything wrapped in Super Bowl, your Super Bowl, your World Series, all wrapped into one day. I mean, we're planning, >> you know, who's it's only going to be me and Sean this year. Marco's uh got gotta go uh somewhere. So it's and the kids are with their uh their mom has to do something. And so the grandkids, which I'll be honest, that's the one day I don't want my grandkids here.
They're they're a little too young. And I don't I don't like the noise while the 500's going on. So, it's gonna be me and Jean >> and we were planning on we gonna go Hogies because don't forget it starts at 8:30 8:36 engine start in California, right? So, of course, I'll run and grab donuts after the Moto GP race at 4:30 in the morning here because it's short. It's only 24 laps, right? So, I'll run down get some donuts. So, we'll have some donuts while they're starting the motors and then soon as it ends by by the time you get that y last yellow, I think we're going to do hogies this year because it's just me and him, you know.
>> Yeah.
>> So, uh I'll be out today. Uh they they have a believe it or not, Ralph's here.
I don't know if you guys have Ralph's not here.
>> Kroger Kroger owns them, >> but they do own Kroger's nationwide and Ralph's a southern California, >> but they they Ralph carries uh porch head meat, >> so you get to get salami and stuff, you know, >> so I don't have to go to the Italian store since it's just me and him. I can just run over there and pick it up.
>> But uh yeah, looking forward, man, that and then I got Prime. So if you guys don't have Prime, I pity you. But I I have the world 600 on and uh and morning to night 4:30 in the morning till gosh out here probably what nine nine o'clock at night.
>> Yeah.
>> Greatest day of the year, man.
>> Yep.
>> It is >> right right there. I've got uh Lor's Lor's mom's, you know, when she passed away, we had to find places for stuff and she had a 72 inch flat screen. Oh, >> it uh it it's all it was all I it's an older one. It was all I could do to get it upstairs by myself, but it's nice and big. So, I'll be out here watching that on on on Prime.
>> I made I made a new uh man man cave type uh uh TV area on the other side of the house.
And uh so I'm going to be sitting in there watching that instead of sitting in my bedroom.
Jim, do you have uh Kyle Bush's uh Rebel Bourbon car on there?
>> Uh you should put it on. Let's bring it up in memory and put it up in the screen.
>> See if I see if >> we have some in. They're on sale. We're selling them to their gone. We're not >> We're not moving the price. That would be sick in my mind.
>> Yeah.
>> And uh but I want I'd like to our people to be able to get them because I mean it is devastating. We're fans, you know.
Yeah, exactly.
>> I mean, even though he doesn't know us, we know him, you know, we feel like we know him.
>> Yeah.
>> You know, and uh I mean, the stories of him even when he was a punk kid, he used to walk the infield and go hang out if they had a banner, you know, the Eminem banner, right? He'd go talk hang out with them. I heard all kinds of stories of him.
>> Oh, yeah. He wasn't the same guy as on the racetrack or on TV.
But then, like I said, once he met that beautiful girl and had those family turned into Richard Petty, you know, >> you keep talking. I'm going to go grab it off the other computer.
>> Yeah. And uh yeah, he he he became uh just a super nice guy. I always said that though. It happened with Daryl.
Happened with Dale, >> right? You know, I mean, when a guy comes in and starts beating your heroes, it happened with Jeff Gordon.
>> Oh my goodness.
>> You know, so I mean, it's kind of the way >> Remember when Jeff Gordon wasn't liked?
>> You know what's funny is Tony Stewart got away with murder?
>> No, he did. I mean, >> he had this huge fan base and he's probably worse than Kyle, >> you know, or Kurt. you know, but Tony had that AJ, you know, that friendship with AJ and I think that got him a lot of uh got away with a lot.
>> Yeah, Tony is was always a very mean what I say, say what I mean kind of guy and lots of times that that's not popular.
And that was AJ all the way.
>> Yeah, AJ had a huge fan base, dude.
You know, AJ AJ had a massive fan base.
But, you know, those guys are all that, you know, they act tough. They they say BS stuff, but when they're around their fans, >> they they take care. I mean, there's picture of of little Carson Holar, right? 10 years old maybe. And Kyle, he put he posted it cuz I'm I'm sure, you know, he said some things about Kyle and Kyle said some things about him, >> you know, but >> there's Carson Hosar sitting in front of the rowdy trailer at this local track. He came there and ran and uh you know, he goes there there's a giant star sitting there taking a picture with a little kid, you know.
>> Yep.
>> They know their fans. There it is. the rebel car, man. It's the last one we'll do. It's a shame, but uh yeah, that that's what uh Jack called me, one of our dealers, and goes, "Hey, they're selling the cars for like a hundred and some dollars, whatever." I go, you know, he wanted to get some. I go, "Nah, we're just going to keep selling them for the wholesale price till they're gone."
you know, let the let the people that you know, because he's even if you loved him or hate him, he's still part of our family.
>> Yeah.
>> You know, the racing our racing family, you know, it's like, you know, when in the days I used to go when would lose a guy, >> he might not have been, you know, your your favorite or whatever, but still the loss was heavy, man, you know.
>> Yep. And it uh you want a piece of something, you know, you want to you want something, you know, to remember >> and uh you know, whether you buy a hat or a t-shirt or you know what I mean?
>> You want something wouldn't do anybody any good for us to just try to try to make a make a little bit of money off of somebody else's suffering to jack up the price. That's just for us. No.
So, we we uh we were selling them at a at a discount. So, good on you guys to >> Yeah, we probably won't have any left after this week, but >> whatever. But >> but uh yeah, but I just wanted to show the car just to honor him.
>> That was that was really a cool that car.
>> I love that car. I like the Lucas car, too. I had to pull it down. We didn't have many.
>> That was a good looking car, too. He had some cool cars. The Chatter, not so much. 3G was pretty cool.
Yeah. But uh anyways, yeah, going to be a great weekend. So, let's go through some of the cars we have. We got these new Fords out. We're going to add two more.
>> Let's uh show >> they're very limited runs. So, if you want one, reserve one right away.
>> So, let's s I'm going to tell you now, S's close to sold out, guys. I mean, we will remake them maybe a couple year or so from now, but for the first order, >> they're close to gone.
>> I like >> Josh Gary, that one's pretty close to closing in on sold out before we even make it >> because we already bought the decals.
We're committed to this small run. We're It is what it is. Same with that one.
Um, >> those are two good looking cars.
>> Yeah, I like that one. That's probably my favorite Joey cart so far.
>> That is the best looking Penso car.
>> Yeah. And that's a great looking car.
>> It's a very good looking car.
>> So, yeah, we got all three of those.
They're all short run. They're probably not a lot left. If you want one, grab it. If you don't want one, wait for the next stuff. The chase, uh, that's going to be a kit of the month. So, if you're in the club, do not buy that. You're going to get that.
And uh the mold uh update on the mold while you're flipping through those is uh the uh mold is completely cut now.
Just needs buffed and it's on its way to us finally. And Halo selling like crazy.
>> Um again, >> you know, if you win the Indie 500, we always reserve the right to go back and uh >> make that.
>> Yeah. But for right now, you know, we run like Joseph the 23 car. We could make some more, but we got well, we only have about six Joseph's left. So, if you want if you want the 24 car, buy it now, cuz I think there's only six as of when I was there on Thursday.
Um, that one So, that one's going to go out immediately. Soon as that mold hits, those are going to be pumped out. So, it it'll be probably another four weeks, I'd say, guys. I know. You know, I I seen an email, you know, hey, you said April. Well, tell that to the mold guy.
>> That's right.
>> It is what it is. You know, the the the difference is we let people talk to us, whereas uh Rall and Tama, they're three months late. They don't say nothing.
You're not going to get to any of them.
>> Yeah. And that's going to be the kit of the month for the club. Available to everybody though.
>> Yep.
>> Um it'll be very limited too uh because uh the uh because the club's going to take up most of them and we didn't make a lot of extras. So if you want one, buy it.
That's the first gray ghost. That one's gone, Jim.
>> That's gone. Okay. There's a reason why I brought this one up. Also, guys, see it says builder club exclusive. We do a number of kits. We're going to be doing four this year that are you want them, they're cool, they're only available to the builder club. You want one, you either need to to bribe one of your buddies who will double the price or or and and should >> or or you can or you can join the club.
So, >> so that and those pretty much gone.
>> Yeah, we have to make like even numbers.
>> So, the club's not an even number. So, we have x amount of leftover, right?
>> And uh the club burned through them. So, >> you know, I've I've got >> They're gone.
>> I've got the box art on that next exclusive up here. Do you want to show it?
>> Sure. Well, it's not approved yet, but yeah, go ahead and show it. Joey would Joey could care less. Joey's a great guy.
>> Oh, that's a cool You got to be in the club to get it. That's the only way.
It'll be sold out again.
>> That's nice. That's a cool car.
>> Yeah, that's cool.
>> Yeah, I'm really stoked about Joey. What a great guy, man. Joey Arrington. And I can't tell you who he introduced me to because that's a big announcement coming.
>> But thank you, Joey. Joey's just he introduced me to a really cool dude. And we'll get Joey to come on the show.
>> Yeah, definitely. Joey's going to eat.
wait till it gets closer to the release.
>> He's got stories. He's a good storyteller.
>> Yeah.
>> Good. So, >> we got to get a few more of those storytellers to to come up.
>> Oh, there's a lot of them up there.
>> Was just Ronnie on there.
>> It was just a trip.
>> Be the last. We had too much fun. The Indie car will be up the minute the uh not the minute, the minute this this old guy can figure out what Marco does >> and put put it up on the website.
>> Yeah.
>> Or it might be the next morning if I fail, but it'll be up >> and uh and we'll see who wins Charlotte if we have a contract.
Uh if it if it's Hendrickk for sure. If it's Gibbs, we'll pro we'll make it.
But, uh, um, our Spire or Track House or any of those, we'll we'll we'll definitely make it. RCR, >> wouldn't that be something if uh RCR won the World 600? That would be awesome.
>> Who is taking over for or >> Hill? Justin Hill.
>> Oh, okay. Okay.
>> But Whoops. He must have gotten the phone call.
>> He'll be back.
>> So, with that, I'm going to I'm going to kick him from the studio. Oh, >> we came He came back, but we know he only wasn't going to hear us. So, he'll call back in.
>> So, >> I I I know Rick's smart enough to know that he got the >> Yeah, he'll be back. He's a pro at this now.
>> He's He's crashed out on us several times.
>> Yeah.
>> So, anyway, >> man. So, so everybody bought up those uh those Ronnie Thomas kits.
>> Mhm. Yeah. There was only a few. There wasn't a lot extra, but yeah, they were gone.
>> So, >> and I I I put some of those stickers in your your the box to you, Matt.
>> Oh, cool. Thank you.
>> Yeah, they get a cool sticker. They get a Ronnie Thomas special sticker, >> which is really cool.
>> We do that for the club. They don't They don't buy them. They just throw it in with the >> It's It's a part of the club deal.
>> And we give some decals while we still have decals. And who knows, we might have to back up on the decals once we start using up all the ones we have.
>> Yeah. Really don't get the decals like we used to.
>> Yeah. But we still right now we're putting in three sheets, but we might have to cut that back in the future when we run out of decals.
>> Yeah.
Thank goodness we bought a bunch of them at the beginning.
>> Yeah.
>> But you will always get your sticker >> and you at least get one sheet.
Originally we did one sheet of decals and a sticker.
>> Yeah.
>> And then uh we started throwing three in because we had a bunch, right?
>> And uh we're probably going to have to go back to one here in the future because uh they're so they're so damaged. We'd have to raise the price of the kit.
>> Yep. So you'd be paying for it one way or the other, guys. You know, we can't lose money. So, >> Oh, yeah, we can. But we can't stay in business too long if we >> It's tough enough as it is, guys.
>> It is.
>> But anyways, yeah, it's going to be a hell of a weekend, man. Can't wait. And uh we got uh a lot of cars coming. We're going to have uh several indie cars this year. We got really small run stuff just constant hitting. We got the two chase cars. We uh you didn't show the uh we actually have three chase cars. We got both of his winners coming out.
>> Let's see. I showed I showed the one and then we've got this one.
>> Yeah, that's >> And then you have the Amazon.
>> There we go.
>> That one's not on the site yet, but we'll soon as the mold gets here, we'll put it up. But we are making it. And uh >> do I have the prime on here?
>> The prime. The prime is on the site. You can buy it right now.
>> I do not have it loaded up here.
>> See what it is.
>> Another phone call.
There we go.
>> Are you still with us? Can you hear us?
>> Nope. He can't. you there?
>> We are, but you can't hear us.
>> He needs to He needs to set his phone on airplane mode or something.
>> Yeah, really. Definitely.
>> So, when he calls back, I'll uh logs back in. I'll I'll slide back and get that other uh that other uh uh chase kit because it it came out really good, too.
That box. Yeah, that's a that'll be a good one.
>> Yeah, the the licenseors are re getting really good about supplying us with, you know, racrack race day pictures. I've got uh uh the we got a couple good ones of of uh Austin Cynric and Ryan Blay that did the box art on those. Probably not ready to show those yet, but uh you'll see those soon. Those will be up for pre-order. And they gave us some good pictures.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> Look great.
>> Thanks for Greg. My buddy Greg, man, comes through.
>> Yep.
>> Penske and uh they all do actually. You know, even Track House who who's not set up for it. Uh they have to buy them >> and they they have a minimal fee and so we just pay the little minimal fee. They they're really Heather's really great over there. That's cool.
>> Yeah. Um, well, Heather works for NASCAR, but she handles their stuff.
>> And, uh, they once we get that Chevy and, we'll be knocking off the track house cars, too. Carson Holabar Spire is officially part of the, uh, the, uh, deal now.
>> Oh, okay. Okay.
>> I think Felix just opened the door behind you, but uh >> but uh Spy, so we'll be doing the Chili's car and >> another phone call.
>> Wow.
Well, Rick need Rick needs to do something. And uh Oh, there he is.
>> I hear you.
>> You can hear us.
>> It's the same person keeps calling me.
>> Okay.
If you keep once you leave me a message, uh guys, I'll get back to you. Trust me.
>> Yep.
>> You don't have to keep calling.
Doesn't make it happen any quicker.
>> Nope.
>> But uh >> busy guy.
>> But anyways, uh well, that's the problem with using my phone. I should be using the computer right here in front of me.
>> Yes.
>> But it is what it is.
just convenient. But yeah, them are cool. They're going to have some >> There's the prime.
>> We're going to knock out some Chevys.
And so we got Spire. We're still waiting on We haven't really pressed it, but they did a contract 2311, but uh they did sign it and send it back over and uh we agreed to it and uh it was same as everybody, you know, nothing different. But, uh, they had to put some legal ease in there. If we don't like if we don't like you, we can we can throw you out. If >> or you say too many fbombs on the the the >> We can throw you out.
>> Look at Look at that car. That looks like they just pulled it out of the shop. Not that that he's just >> Oh, no.
>> 400 miles. It looks Well, it's got a black front end, so you really don't show the chips and stuff. Yeah. Yeah.
>> Probably probably use black primer.
That's a wrap on there.
>> It's all >> Yeah, that's the thing with the wraps.
They're so tough they don't don't really chip up and >> until they hit them into the wall.
>> Nah, then there's a problem. But >> Indie Car still paints their cars. I wonder why.
>> Really? They do.
>> Is it mandatory or is it speed? I don't know what it is.
>> I don't know.
>> I mean, they're going so damn fast. Who knows?
>> Yeah. Some of us think that painting, you know, and clearing and is faster. I don't know.
>> It could it could be smoother. It could and it could be a little bit lighter.
>> I don't know. Yeah. Yeah, probably.
But, uh, >> and and they're all they're all body panels. They can pull them off and set them aside. That's another thing.
Whereas whereas with the with the cars, they can't just pull pull panels off.
>> So, >> right. They got to unrivet them and however they put them on, glue them. I don't know what they used now.
>> Yep.
>> Yeah.
>> Wait, no, that's >> We've seen how they have to pull them off. It's e It's usually off used with another car as a can opener or they got to get out there saws and >> and cut through them.
Yeah, I like the new bodies. I like I like the the idea that you can, you know, bump somebody, you know, just a little bit and you don't have a flat tire, you know, >> right?
>> As much >> and that ruins your whole race. You can still bump the wall a little bit and get away with a lot more.
>> Yeah, >> you can you can shove around a little bit.
>> You bang into them and you're something's gonna happen. But if you're just doing a little bit of shoving around, hip checking, you know, not too hard there, it's it's good and you're not going to you're not going to bend something, >> right?
But uh yeah, anyways, uh >> and I don't get the complaints about the looks of the cars because I think all three cars look >> dynamite.
>> They do. They look great.
>> They're absolutely gorgeous. And I I do think the Toyota is the the the best looking of the three, but that's just my personal taste on on the on the nose on the Toyota. But they're all they're all great looking cars. I mean, if I was if I was given one as a street car, I I wouldn't care which one.
>> The tickets.
>> Well, I like the I like the Chevy because we sell by far the most of those.
>> Yeah.
That's what sways your vote, huh?
>> But uh yeah, now they they're I think they knocked it out of the park. NASCAR, I know everybody complains, but go to the car dealer and show me the car that you can make a cup car out of.
>> Yeah, exactly.
>> There are none there.
>> No, it's all trucks.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. Are we running SV S SUVs or you know, there are no cars. There is no, you know, they're doing the best they can with what they have to work with, you know, and uh I think they really, you know, knocked it out of the park. The competition is unbelievable nowadays. You know, if if you watch like on the big tracks, watch how hard it is to get the second lane going, you know, in likeinity or whatever the hell it's called now, sportsman or uh and look how easy it is to get a second lane going with these new cars.
>> Yeah. You know, back to the talking about the bodies, something that has always drove me nuts is I just don't understand the hate or the complaint that's out there of the new car, the bodies it, you know, not it doesn't look like street cars and stuff like that.
And it's just like, but everybody's okay with how the cars were in the 2000s, which was like a time period. I absolutely didn't watch NASCAR because I thought the cars were hideous when they Yeah. when they were all misshapen and they didn't even come clo there was no I mean like they threw the templates away those cars were debacles to me they were they were abominations and to me the cars today even though okay they all share the same greenhouse and all that they don't exactly the same shape as a Camaro or Mustang but they look a lot more like it today they don't look you can tell the brands I don't care everybody oh if it wasn't for stickers you can't tell the I can tell the brands.
>> I think and they look like a car that would they look like they could be a street car. I really don't care. They don't look, you know, cuz they're all symmetrical now. That's what I'm happy about is that the cars have a symmetrical appearance to them.
>> Yeah. Rick sent me a picture of one a couple days ago. They looked like a stinking banana. They were hitting >> it like Yeah, it looked like Yeah, it was. It's like, how is that thing going straight down the straightaway? It's >> It's curvy. They look like freaking race cars, dude. They're awesome. And they resemble >> the Camaro. They resemble the the Mustang. They resemble >> the to Toyota's the hardest one because that car is, >> let's face it, it's it's a gas saber car. That's best they can do. But we're we're sure we're sure glad they chose to be in NASCAR >> because it's great for the series and >> good for all of us, you know, that we have, you know, more team support.
>> If Dodge does come into Cup, they've actually got a they've actually got a a couple cars that they could work from, whether it be the >> the the uh uh the Challenger or the Charger. I think the Charger is probably gonna gonna be a more of a natural fit.
If they have if they'd have been smart, they would have designed their new Charger to look so close to a Cup car.
>> Yeah.
>> As possible. So that that >> you could actually buy it and do what Mike Gry with his and it and it looks like the you know the car on the on the track.
>> Yeah. You know, too >> I thought the sixth gen they they looked way off. They didn't look anything like a Mustang or Camaro.
>> They were No, I'm talking the sixth gen.
Well, that too, but the sixth gen, I mean, the body was just it it didn't even resemble resembling a Camaro or a Mustang.
>> Yeah. Well, it's like the uh the the O'Reilly cars. They don't >> Yeah.
>> They may have they may have the nose on there, but aside from the nose, there's nothing about the car that looks like a car. Right. These >> big old bulbous things.
>> Yeah. But the nextG just it has it has character to it.
>> Yes.
>> It really does side of it. The way the the fender flares are and everything. I mean, it has fender flares. I'm a fender flare fan.
>> Yeah.
>> They have fender flares.
>> Look at it this way. You got Indie. You got Chevys.
>> Yep.
>> And And you got Hondas.
>> Do they look like a Chevy or Honda?
>> No. You go to Formula One, you got Mercedes, you got Ford now, you got uh Cadillac now. You got the Ferrari. Do they look like the street car? No, they're race cars, guys.
>> Yeah, they're rac Does Ron Cap's funny car look like a Toyota?
>> Not even remotely.
>> Yeah, but it's still a Toyota. And you know what? Let's be thankful those companies are involved because >> those days I was a little kid when they look like car most of you guys you know that whole >> that whole idea who wants to see a bunch of Camry and you know Ford Flexes or I don't know whatever the hell they make you know running around the track. I don't want to watch it.
>> No. You know, I want to see race cars that haul ass >> going around the track, you know.
>> Yep.
>> And I like the extra horsepower this year. That's cool.
>> Did a good job on that.
>> That was a smart move.
>> That was a good move. Indie Car, they're going plenty fast. They don't need to do nothing. In fact, I'm worried that they're going to screw it up in 2028 because they got such a great package right now.
>> Yeah. you know, >> and it is such a dynamite looking car.
What are they going to do to >> How do you make it look better?
>> Yeah. How do you make it look better?
>> I don't know.
>> Kind of kind of tough.
>> Hopefully they they don't mess with it too much. They kind of, >> you know, refine it. May maybe, you know, they were talking about some safety things like making them a bit lighter. I guess if they're lighter, they're safer.
>> So, they were talking about taking some weight out, you know.
But I mean, they need to keep it simple because I mean, >> those cars race so good and the Cup cars race so good.
>> They do.
>> I mean, it I I don't know. I don't understand the complaints. I don't >> I I didn't watch the same race as I watched for some reason. It's so much more exciting is seeing seeing two guys, you know, two or three guys fighting those that last few hundred yards for for who's going to win as opposed to so so Bobby Jones is three laps ahead of the next guy who's a lap and a half ahead of the next guy and >> right >> you know and and you you want to make those those uh races exciting have a crash and have the guys get out in the fist fight. I had I had a uh um I don't know what race and what era this was, but I was listening to something some you know old time NASCAR talk and they're talking about there was a race that Kale Yarro had lap the field so much and then he crashed out and while he was getting interviewed he was still leading the race with a with his car in the in the garage area crumpled up and he's talking to a reporter and he's still technically was leading the race. He He gotten so far. I mean, you'll never see that again. And kind of like I mean, that's it's funny and and wow, but yeah, you know, having this one car that's all of a sudden lapped the field seven times.
I I I wouldn't want those days to come.
>> Well, I think the the old times, Matt, with the the big thing was reliability.
>> Yeah. No matter how far you were in the lead, you probably had at least a 30 to 50% chance of not making it to the finish line.
>> Exactly.
>> And that's gone now.
>> So, >> the the only way around that to keep the excitement is to make them race, you know, >> because even if a guy had a big lead, >> that doesn't mean he was going to make it to the finish line because attrition was so high back then, >> you know.
>> Yeah. And um you know indie like I said you get 10 finishers you were doing pretty good you know >> that that was 10 out of 33 or 13 or something you know your odds weren't good that you were going to make it to the end you know >> right >> and now if you don't wreck I mean what two cars maybe break down >> you know >> during the whole 500 you know the wreck the wreck's really what take things out.
So, yeah, it's just a different world now. Racing's better. It's tight.
>> And I mean, it's hard to tell who's going to win. If a guy's good at the track, he's going to be tough to beat because he's got equal equipment. Can you imagine in Ronnie's day if he'd had the same car like they have today, he would have the same car as Richard Petty and David Pearson?
>> Who knows? They would have went to a track where Ronnie's good, you know, his home track and he would have smoked them, >> you know.
>> I mean, you see that all the time. Uh, you know, u guys just at different tracks do really well. It seems like >> that Tyler Reic and Denny Ham on them mile and a half and even Chase, they just they uh they run really well, you know.
Yep.
>> And Denny's a dude for his age. I mean, he's not that old, but you know, guys, you know, Jimmy and them were aging out about Denny's age, you know, and and Jeff, you know, they weren't winning as much. Denny Denny's pretty uh he's definitely uh hanging in there.
>> Yeah, I think >> whatever he's doing, he just needs to keep doing it. Yeah, because it's working.
>> But yeah, good. It's going to be good race. World 600 be good.
>> It's a long race. It's a long race, but uh >> Yeah. Why Why did they do it right after Indie? Why didn't they put it off and do it on Monday?
>> No, because that you went the whole day.
They got the lights. They put the lights in.
>> See, before they used to have to run at the same time as Indie. And >> that was really, but it was not it wasn't on TV back then, >> you know.
>> But now with the whole TV date, now the Formula 1 decided that they were going to go head-to-head with the Indy500.
Great move, by the way.
Great great move for the electric cars.
But, uh, they're slot cars, by the way.
>> Yeah.
But, uh, now that they've decided to, uh, you know, to go head-to-head, I love that Moto GP took the spot and Fox grabbed it right away, man.
>> Yeah, >> Fox threw it in. Morning morning morning race. Moto GP. It's kind of cool.
>> Marquez brothers are both out, but still you get to see some great racing.
>> Martine Martin came back. He's doing great. But uh yeah, you guys, it it's kind of a great spot for Moto GP because they get to finally show themselves to the indie NASCAR fans, you know, because to America, let's put it that way. Yeah.
>> Because America >> doesn't tune in to it. It's like 35,000, right?
>> So all of a sudden now they're on network television. when you're tuning in getting ready for the Indy500, >> you're going to see a 24 lap shootout >> before the Indy500, you know, and boy, that's some great exposure for Moto GP.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> Cuz let's face it, everybody will watch it. We all love racing.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. You could put You could put any race on before the Indie 500 would watch it.
>> Yeah. That's a good race. I I think that was a a really great move by Fox to uh >> Yeah, >> they had they had it on Fox.
>> I might even watch it.
>> Oh, it's I love it. It's good racing and it's short, you know.
>> Yeah, >> motorcycle racing is always short because it's so hard, man.
>> It's just too hard on the body.
>> Yeah, >> you know, it's really physical.
But, uh yeah, I'll watch it. I can't wait. I don't need Monte Co parade. This won't be a parade. I guarantee you.
>> Yep. Yep.
>> Be 24 laps of action and uh and I think a lot of people will get turned on to it.
>> Oh yeah.
>> Which is cool because it's on Fox Sports One and Fox Sports 2. So you can catch every race. They have a sprint race on Saturday today.
So, I'm not going to tell you what happened because if you taped it, >> but uh >> but anyways. Yeah. But anyways, it's about time to sign off here.
>> Yes.
>> Go with our pick. This is the big pick.
We'll leave out Moto GP. Okay.
>> We're not We're not We're just going for the double header.
The two big crown jewels. The crown jewels.
>> Go ahead, Matt.
>> All right. You want to go first? Go ahead. People are probably gonna know my picks, but Santino F uh uh >> he's qualified fifth, man.
>> That's a good pick.
>> Yeah. I I >> He's good at that track.
>> I want I want to see him get AJ uh another 500.
>> Yes. And then uh we've got uh on the I guess you'd say the outside poll number two over in the in the world 600 I will call it because I'm old school is of course my boy Kyle Larson. He's uh >> he's due.
>> He's due and he's right there. He he qualified second. So you know he's on the outside poll.
>> All right. Jim, put that in writing. Write it down. Jim, >> you know what? I'm gonna go next week.
bragging rights.
>> I am looking what I wrote down from uh a week or so ago, probably two weeks ago.
I have Kirkwood and Byron.
I'm going to stick with those two.
>> Okay.
>> Kirkwood, Byron.
>> I don't know about Byron, but I think there's there's a good chance on Kirkwood. But uh >> yeah, Byron's been up front. You know, he's been right there knocking on the door.
>> Yep.
>> You know, Chase is the only Hendrickk driver to win a race. Can you believe that?
>> I know. Isn't that something? He's won three of them with the the 150, >> you know. But anyways, I'm gonna go with the winning picks here.
>> Okay.
>> I'm I'm gonna go I'm gonna go with uh >> Joseph.
>> Joseph stolen Joseph out from under you.
>> I'm not a fan. I just watch how he races there and I just He's the best.
>> That's true. I mean, he could have had it that >> he was close to getting that third one in a row.
>> Yeah. And I watched the pra the last practice, >> dude. He blew from the back of the field all the way past everybody.
>> And Po came out with about eight or 10 lap fresher tires. Couldn't stay with him.
>> I mean, he just kept passing all the way to the lead. Then the lightning came and they called it off. So, I say Joseph from the 20some spot wins it. And then Sunday, I'm gonna go with everybody's favorite driver, Danny Hamlin, baby. I'm gonna I'm I'm playing to win this week.
>> I'm playing.
>> That's a good one.
>> I'm playing to win.
>> I I I'd usually go with the second choice.
>> I'd go with the company pick. So, first off, the company doesn't want Joseph to win because his cars are too similar.
>> Yes.
>> To his other winners, but I'm going against it. I want to win. And then secondly, Chase Elli is our bestselling car, and I'm not going to pick him. I'm going with Danny. I'm going to win. And we will do Denny's car because we got the new Toyota coming.
>> And that's as good as good as any uh get to do if you were to win it. Yep.
>> Oh, heck yeah. Uh, now if you ask me for the company, I'd go P A Ward and Chase Elliott.
That's the company's picks right there.
But >> there you go. Well, okay. We can have the company pick, too.
>> The company pick is uh Po Award and Jay Elliott. There you go.
>> That's what we should do from now on every week is have your pick and a company pick.
>> It should be S.
>> Yeah, because I get screwed every week.
fan.
>> I went against the company, man.
Totally.
>> Yeah.
>> I I hope Denny What What car is Denny driving?
>> I like I hope it's that furniture company or whatever it is. I love that car.
>> We're making that car, guys.
>> I just Good one.
>> I love that car. But anyways, man, thank you guys. Enjoy you. God bless you all.
Have a great weekend. And again, thoughts and prayers for uh >> the Bush family, >> Kyle Bush's family. And I know that's just horrible.
>> We all just a young kid like that.
>> Terrible.
>> Yep.
>> Yep.
>> But see all we'll see our pitch to the club on Tuesday. See who's right and wrong. And probably none of us are going to win.
>> It'll be fun, man. I love this weekend.
It's your birthday. Christmas with a Thanksgiving all wrapped into one.
>> Yep.
>> Yep. All right, guys. Have a good uh good weekend and we will talk later on.
>> All right.
>> Take care, everyone. Have a great weekend.
>> Bye.
>> Bye.
>> Bye.
Heat. Heat.
