I don't, right? But it doesn't really matter. It doesn't matter if it's an investment. Of course, it goes up in value sometimes. U but it's the all the other attributes that make me a precious metals hound and I have been forever. I mean, there it's just part of who I am.

Is it re is that really how much it is? Because I've got four or five. You know, I've I've put out a lot of the Benjamins before. These are all rolls of uncirculated pieces. As you can see, some of these are just just crazy. Uh, and I've got several other uncirculated rolls, and I left those in the vault because it hasn't been that long since I had those out. That'll be fun to pour through in just a second here. The amount number of uh fake silver eagles that appear on eBay and other venues like that seems to be a little bit out of hand, doesn't it? There are occasionally in these rolls and when I bought these rolls, I wasn't paying that much attention to them. These were all uh pieces that I bought for their melt value because I do come from a numismatic background when I was buying these pieces pretty early on in my stacking career. Uh I was looking for specifically for walkers. And it's funny that I say that because I've got this role of partial uh this partial role here and we'll dig through in just a second so you can see some of the other pieces. Kilo, good to see you. Uh you're safe for counterfeiting millions and bars. in silver, but a single angle fiat bill will get you federal prison. Now, that's a good perspective and I think that's probably true. Precious metals provide optionality. That's a great word and I like that. Well, all the things that I ticked off if you didn't see tonight's video. Uh, I wasn't kidding when I said it was going to be somewhat controversial, right? I know that not everybody agrees with my position on precious metals, but ultimately if you stuck around to the end of that video, you saw the point that I was trying to make and that's why you guys are hopefully joining me in this live stream and why you have subscribed to my channel was because I am a huge precious metals fan. What do we think about Mandy Brown? Good to see you. What do we think about uh silver dropping pretty quickly today? Uh, those of you who follow me on Reddit know that I made a post earlier today about whether or not spot price is accurate, whether or not silver is really worth $65 an ounce. If you can't find a dealer who will buy from you at $65 an ounce, uh, in that that thread that I launched on on Reddit, I was just making a point and putting up a pretty picture of some silver bars, but man, did that blow up. Last I checked, it had been seen by something like 85,000 people. So, a lot of fun. This is a really cool thing. Love the subject, Kilo. Thank you so much. The most controversial precious metal YouTuber.
That is not true. [laughter] I know that's not true. Profit taking uh consolidation, right? Crow dragon pilot.
That's a pirate pilot. That's a good word for it. Uh there are a lot of people who simply sold. And I will tell you guys a secret here. You got to promise not to share it with anybody.
Okay? I actually spoke with one of my local dealers yesterday at about 1:00 in the afternoon and I said, "I'm going to bring you 200 ounces of silver. Can you move it for me? Can you will you buy it from me?" And I also was going to sell a couple ounces of gold, too. Now, before you say, "Oh, you're selling out." That that's not even 10% of what I have.
That's probably more like, "Well, I'm not going to tell you, but it's a very small amount of what I have." But the point is that I bought most of that at uh the silver bars. I just said that I was buying about 90% at, you know, 567 $8 an ounce. The silver bar is higher than that, probably somewhere between 12 and $18 an ounce. And I do have pretty uh concise spreadsheets, pretty accurate spreadsheets that list everything. And since so much of my silver has serial numbers on it, I'm able to track all of that kind of stuff. But the interesting thing about it is that they said, "Absolutely, of course, for you, we will buy that stuff, but we have been buying all day long, and we've already put notes up on the door saying that we're not buying anything else." And ultimately, it wound up that in order for me to move the material that I had asked them to move, they were going to have to go through one of their distributors, and they weren't going to get paid for a month. So, I opted to just say, "You know what? Let's tack the brakes here a little bit. I will be back in touch sometime tomorrow. That would be today or over the weekend. They're open on the weekends. And we'll revisit this and see if this is something that both of us still want to do. I'm not about to try to uh call in some cards and have a dealer buy stuff from me if they're going to get holding the bag.
Got caught holding the bag. But it was really interesting. I don't sell. You guys who watch my channel know that I don't sell. But even I was thinking this is reverse FOMO. I have got to sell some at $65 an ounce. Otherwise, I will be kicking myself if silver drops back down to $30 an ounce. And I will tell you that the emotional uh uh turmoil that I felt for hours after uh going through the vault and picking out the pieces that I thought would be most appropriate to sell. It hurt. It was really genuinely physically painful. And in a way, I'm kind of glad that we couldn't come to an agreement. Uh they were going to be buying at at least $5 back of Melt. So, it was still, you know, it was still going to be $59 or maybe even 60 bucks an ounce, but ultimately I did not sell. That's the closest I have come to really selling silver with almost no exceptions going back to about 2011.
Interesting. Right. In the meantime, you guys have been talking and I've been trying to to speak as quickly as I can.
Uh, good day to cash out. A very wise day. It would have been had I done that.
Mentioned that it triggers my elephant ears. I like that. Uh, Chef Celsius, you need to have multiple ways to get cash out of your metal other than a dealer, online sales, or small group of friends, right? And I have been selling online for about 30 years now. This would not have been that big of a deal. In fact, I could still do that. But when you're selling online, are you capturing the immediate price right now? Are you talking about shipping fees, insurance fees, boxing stuff up, waiting to get paid? Is the item going to get lost in the mail? Is the payment going to be disputed? There are a million other factors that are associated with selling online and you can mitigate those, but they are still there. In this case, I wanted to do a legitimate exchange right then and there and it didn't work out.
It's interesting, right? I sold 25 ounces at $63 within 10 minutes. That's nice, Kilo. I'm sure you were selling them on uh PMS for sale, right? I felt the same way last week. It's painful, right? It is truly painful. And the funny thing is that for me to sell the gold, and I like I mentioned, I was probably going to sell a couple ounces of gold, too. No sweat. Did not even care. But the silver that hit hard. It was weird. Uh, it was a good exercise for you working through the emotions of selling is valuable. When do you feel you should sell next? Will a time it will be easier? It's, you know, it's of course I've done it before. It's just been, you know, 12 years since I've really done it in earnest. And uh one of the big problems when it comes time for me selling is the same thing that I've talked about many times before and that a lot of you are much much smarter at than I am is that I don't have generic to sell. I don't have generic to trade.
Whenever I get money to buy generic, I wind up buying really interesting pieces. So if you had generic, if you had 10 10 bars from uh Silvertown or Pampwiss, those are easy to rotate out of. But when you've got good pieces, even if your dealer is offering you a bit above what they would pay for their regular customers, their regular because you know me, because you know I'm dubc, uh it it still is not the greatest feeling in the world. Generics you don't have an emotional attachment to, but good pieces you kind of do. I once ended up buying back something at twice the price because I realized it was something I wanted. Uh not the value in dollars, right? I've talked about that emotional uh issue, the uh ripping off that security blanket. When you've had something, especially if it's something that you really value, it's very hard to get rid of it. Gold is so insanely high, letting it go uh is easy. Silver feels undervalued. I I don't really feel that at 64, but again, it's, you know, it was that FOMO.
If you feel like you wanted to be buying silver at 15 bucks an ounce where silver is now, put that in reverse. Would you feel the same way if silver drops to $15 an ounce and you didn't sell at 65 when you had that chance? So, it's it's a it's a weird a completely unexpected feeling. I mean, I was genuinely psychologically distressed having to do this or at least thinking about it. Now, I'm a big boy. I can get over it. It's just I wasn't expecting to feel that way. It was really neat.

Typically, you know, I'll plug my own videos, but in this case, I think it is a really really interesting topic and I think it's worthwhile. [sighs and gasps] Uh if it drops, I'll be weirdly happy because I don't want to sell, right?
That's that's kind of hiding in that psychology, too. But I'm right there. My local dealers are offering 35.5 times face on constitutional about 50 bucks an ounce uh an actual silver weight highway robbery. I'm going to keep on putting some stuff out and I will try to catch up with the chat.

Uh we'll go ahead and put the tops off of these so you guys can see them. And like I said, I left most of the BEu rolls of Frankies in the vault. I didn't want to get those out because I've talked about them not too long ago. But we've got this is a partially mixed roll, too. I see some Kennedys in here and I see a couple Franklin's in here. Some circulated Franklin's. I don't really have very many of those. I thought we'd just put out some stuff, right? Uh, can't dump gold, platinum, palladium, but I will dump silver. Nice. I wish that I felt that way. And maybe, maybe I will eventually. 2011, silver hit 49. By 2015, it was back down to 14 bucks an ounce. West Texas Snacker. That's actually a point that I made in tonight's video. There have been, for those of you who said, I use the analogy of a silver quarter, right? 1964, a silver quarter would have bought you a gallon of gas. 2024, a silver quarter would have bought you a gallon of gas.
Now, the the knee-jerk reaction to that is, well, right now, a silver quarter is worth, you know, whatever a silver quarter is worth. It was 18 bucks, something like that, something ridiculous.
um it will buy you two gallons of gas.
So that argument is really easy to make.
The point is that that's only happened a few times in the last 50 years. Uh West Texas was bringing out this amount of 2015 when it was back down to 14 bucks an ounce. So the analogy that a silver quarter bought you a gallon of gas in in in 1964 and would have bought you a gallon of gas in 2024, I think is a valid argument. But the position that I was making in tonight's video is that that's not an investment because it's not paying you more. It's not increasing the value. A gallon of gas is a gallon of gas. Now, we did have three times in the last 50 years where it pays more.
And right now, that silver quarter would definitely buy you more than one gallon of gas. But if that only happens a few times in 50 years, then it's not really an investment by the definitions that I see it. And that was the point of tonight's video. I love those Buu Benji.
Super jealous. I wish I brought more of them out of the the vault. I think I've got 10 rolls of BU uh Frankies and these are kind of dogs compared to some of those. A dime will buy you a gallon of gas here. That's probably pretty accurate, right? Uh the amount of gas, the price of gas has dropped down pretty low recently and silver has spiked. So the analogy and everybody goes back to that whole gallon of gas thing. Maybe that's not the best analogy because we have seen fluctuations in the price of gas and the fluctuations in the price of silver.
Uh Mayushka silver uh 100300 but too bulky charted I do 15-year time frame might see 100 soon in 6 months. Man that would be terrifying. I'd love to hear your thoughts on Dave Ramsey who uh bags on PMs. As we all know PMS are certainly investments. Uh are do we do we say that Kilo if you watch tonight's video? Uh I I think Dave Ramsey is a good person to listen to if you are uncomfortable around finances. Um I have listened to him in the past and I agree with him on a lot of things. I disagree with him probably on more things than I agree with him on. And it's there, you know, if you are not comfortable around finance, if you're not comfortable around money, you're probably not one of my viewers anyway, right? We are probably a little bit more sophisticated than the average bear. uh you know, some of us more so than others. But if you truly don't understand finance and it's always been a mystery to you, if it's all Greek to you, Dave Ramsey can be very helpful. But if once you get past that level, I I don't think he really is that helpful. He's trying to help millions and millions and I've got a nice little group of 7,000 folks who care what I have to say. So, uh you know, we're we're not really the same.
He's a good guy in some ways. I disagree with him in lots of ways. Also, how do I get your address to send swag?
Nobody ever offers me swag. Most other investments, including stocks, bonds, when you look at the yield versus inflation after taxes are actually negative real interest. Uh, you know, are have they increased in value? Have they gone up in value? Is there desiraability? Have they paid you dividends? Have they paid you capital gains? Uh, you can look at all of these different factors and decide whether or not something is an investment. But if you watch tonight's video, you'll understand where I'm coming from. IQ points increasing. Glad to hear it. I'm old enough to remember dad giving me a quarter and riding my bike to Dean's gas station and getting a gallon for dad's lawn mower there. Also a milk machine there. I don't remember the milk machines, but I remember gas being pretty cheap. Uh debasement is 8% inflation 3% 11 is hard to beat. Uh 72.40. Don't sell yourself short. Grow dragon pirate. Don't pay attention to them. Uh the number of subscribers as long as we've got people who are interested in what we have to say, right? I'm a monkey compared to you, Dub. I have a piece of it right here.
Uh, I like that. A picture of it right here. I remember seeing people sitting in a waiting room at a coin shop to sell their silver in 2022. And even though when I can go to the coin shop, people are still waiting to sell. I've been around one of my local shops recently where there was literally a line out the door. Now, I can't remember if it was people buying or selling, but it's a it it certainly puts you in that panic mode, doesn't it? I told you we'd look through one of these rolls that I saw was a mixed roll because I figured that most of these were probably walkers. We definitely have a few rolls of walkers here. Uh these are all 64s.
And we've got a couple of barbers. Good to know. Some of these rolls I literally have not opened in 20 years, so I don't even know what's in them. But two 1911s.
Those are nice, right? Uh that one's a D and that one is an S. How about that?
We've got a Denver and a San Francisco.
If you're not familiar with it, the mint mark is beneath the eagle's tail feathers right there at the bottom. The D stands for S uh Denver and the S stands for San Francisco. These are probably uh good, literally good, right? 08 maybe on the Sheldon grading scale. But it's nice to know that you can get barbers or at least you used to be able to get barbers for the price of just about anything else. That one's got some interesting tone on it. How about that?
There's a Walker, a Frankie, a couple more 64s we've got, and then a handful of Walking Liberty half-dolls. Also, your favorite. Do you like walking liberty half- dollars? Would you rather have the Franklin halves? Do you like the 64 Kennedys? I like them all. Um, the half-dollar never one of my most favorite uh types of silver, but there is some validity to these, especially if the silver dollars have gotten too expensive for you.
That appears to be a solid roll of Walking Liberty half dollars. How about that? So, we've got some pretty nice rolls going on here. Just trying to get everything as much uh kind of centralized as I possibly can. 6,73,117 views on your channel, Dub. Uh thank you. I can tell you that that is inaccurate. Uh we just broached 700,000.

Kilo, you're not wrong. 64 Kennedys I know are not favored by a lot of people, but because they never really circulated unless some got into circulation accidentally, you rarely find a 64 Kennedy that is below a 50 grade, which means that those are probably the ones to really stack if you like them. I've got a couple rolls of just Kennedy halves here, too. At least I think they are. They could be uh mixed rolls also.
All all I know these appear to be pretty bu and I'm looking through my camera screen. I'm looking through the shot there just to see. Uh I'm not looking in real life. Yeah, that's a complete BU roll right there. Uh nice ones. Those aren't bad. Uh the Frankies that I have are better than those, though.
We'll keep on going with those, too. So crispy. I like that. I love my house cuz I get three rolls free a year. David Chung, that's awesome. I'm standing up for my man. The 64 Kennedy. The 64 Kennedy. if you didn't know, was supposed to be a one-year type, right?
It was only supposed to be in 1964. We weren't supposed to continue those. That was immediately after Kennedy's assassination. But who's gonna stop a beloved American president uh from having a memorial coin when he was brutally murdered, you know? So, that's why we've probably continued to make those for so long. Any chance you believe in communism? Because I would love half. Uh communism is probably not what you're thinking about there. Uh, this is a B- roll also. How about that?
So, we've got a couple B- rolls of Kennedy halves there. Those are kind of nice. Uh, I do have one that's a little bit funky looking.
Look at that. This one's got a hole. And what's funny about this one, and I do remember this one, the reason why it's sitting on top is because that was deep inside this roll when I bought it. And I remember going through it and finding it like that. That's depressing when you find one with a hole in it. Not a big hole, right? That's no big deal. But, uh, it is kind of funny that this one actually did have a small hole in it right there. I wonder what that's for.
Right. I, you know, sometimes people talk about putting a a hole in a dime back when we had payoneses. You guys old enough to remember the pay phone? Uh, you would actually put it on a chain and drop it down inside the mechanism and it would give you the credit of making a call and then you got your dime back. I know it's kind of weird, right? Jewelry probably, right? That's probably somebody's keychain or something that somebody put around their neck. No big deal. Uh, Walkers. Good. I like the Kennedys. Nice. Uh, it's a holy coin.
Money moment. Uh, let's not let's not go there. Keychain. It's a washer, right?
Well, usually. And it's not unusual to see coins made into washers. We saw lots of large scents made into washers.
That's one of the reasons why they have holes in them. If you've got a large scent, especially after the small scents came about, it became economical to use a large scent as a washer rather than paying a penny or two pennies or 3 cents for one if you could just drill a hole in it. You can always afford silver 61k ounce, but gold 10 to 20,000. Uh you can definitely afford silver dimes and that's one of the things that I tried to get across when I first launched my channel. Even if this makes you uncomfortable, if you are not quite sure what to do when it comes to things like 90%, go into your local coin shop if you have one and buy a Mercury dime. I mean, at the time it was like a buck. And the idea of being able to buy an investment, if that's the word we want to use for these, the idea of being able to get into it, buy it, walk out the store, knowing that it's yours, right? That is a really cool thing. And there are very other uh very few other asset classes that you can put a dollar into and actually have something somewhat substantial. I think it's really kind of cool. So yeah, I love buying 90% dimes and things like that. I haven't really bought 90% in a long long time. $448 for a Merc. Ouch. I haven't even calculated how much we're talking about.
What is a half-dollar worth today?
Anybody know a 90%. Uh we've got uh 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 rolls at 20 coins per roll. So we've got uh 260. Is that right? Is my math right? Something like that.
Uh Mercury and walking. I like them both. Rated the LCS display the spot price caught up to it. Oh, that's too bad. Uh 2242 per coin. How's that for crazy? Uh these are a nice roll. And I think these are beus also. Yeah. Uh, you know, lower quality. Uh, Beu, maybe these are 61 62s. They don't really have that luster a little bit. They're just a little bit muted. But that's one of the nice things about the 64s. They did um circulate, right? Certainly they did.
Not everybody was just grabbing those as soon as they possibly could, but they didn't circulate that much. Um, it's not very common to find a really heavily circulated uh 64 Kennedy. And you guys who are coin roll hunters, even you probably don't encounter them very often. Beat up 64s, right? Most of the time, even the ones that we find in change are 55ish somewhere in there. And there's a good reason for that. It's because these pieces have not been circulated for circulating for 60 years. They have been reintroduced into circulation. somebody found a box in a closet somewhere after a grandparent passed and dumped the money into the coin shop or the the bank rather or they just put them in the vending machine or deposited them at their local bank or whatever it is and because of that those pieces were reintroduced into circulation. So when you find coins, silver coins especially in change, the the idea that those would have been circulated circulating in since 1964 is very very remote. Uh it's almost certainly those pieces have been reintroduced, not necessarily with Kennedys, but earlier some folks didn't have pockets, so they put holes in the coins so they could keep them close. That's absolutely true. Uh there are also societies where it's tradition to do that. We've talked about some of the Turkish coins in the past that have gold coins in particular that are that are hold that are holes are punched in them so that they can be attached to uh clothes like a bride's wedding dress. So that's not at all uncommon in certain cultures. Not something that we do here in the United States very often. Uh but it certainly isn't something that we haven't seen in the past. I'm rifling through a box of gold coins right now trying to find my Turkish example. If I can pull it up, I will definitely put it out for you guys.
I know it's it hasn't been that long since we showed it, but it's a fascinating piece of gold coinage. Also, [clears throat] try not to lose my voice. It's been very uh cold here where I am today. Let's see if I can keep it going, though. Uh we talked about the half dollars. We've got the uh walking liberties. We've got some Franklin sitting out. We've got some Beu Franklin's. We've got some Kennedys here as well. I like the half-dollar. It was something that I felt like a grown-up buying in larger quantities because they are so much bigger than a dime or a quarter. Honestly, I don't really have that many rolls of silver quarters. I've probably got 15 or 20 rolls. Uh got one two weeks ago, says David Chung. Here's one of those examples of the uh Turkish coin. Uh this is an Ottoman coin from uh 1817.
And you can see that it's got a little hole and a loop in it. And this was such a common thing to do that I think you can see right here. This device actually looks like it was almost kind of a guide to show people where to put a hole in this coin because this was so commonly done in the Ottoman Empire that it's almost impossible to find examples of these coins that don't have a hole in them. Kind of fun though, right?
Uh, West Texas 2020. A buddy of mine picked up a box of half- dollars. Whole box was 64s. Isn't that crazy? Uh, sounds like someone needs a swig of an IPA. They do. Emerald Coast sacker. Good to see you, Jungle Marine. I agree, man.
Right there. That is cool when you find it. I have had very little success in coin roll hunting. It's something that I've tried a few times. I will tell you that I went to a Walmart today uh to do a little uh Christmas shopping. Not Not really. Come on. Uh, but I was at a Walmart today and I checked the coin star store, uh, Coin Star with 20 people standing around the customer service desk right there. There were five or six employees of Walmart standing right there. I excused them to get them out of my way so I could get to the coin star.
I reached my hand in great big handful of change including a well, I'll post a picture of it tomorrow. Uh, but it's true. That's a true story. I really did.
Uh, you got to check the coin stars, right? Not the same thing as coin roll hunting. I've just never been successful with coin roll hunting. He puts proof Benjamins in his spot bin, so I had no problem with it. Proof Benjamins?
Really? That's insane. I haven't been Walmart in years. My told my wife today, I want to go and watch people. H, you know, if you need a an inexpensive place to shop, there's nothing wrong with Walmart. Come on now. Uh, it's not the kind of place that I hang out very often. Um, Ken Lidford, Lidford, good to see you. Thanks everybody for popping in. Uh, we were going to talk about the concept, the philosophy of whether or not precious metals are truly an investment. And it sounds like there's some people in the chat. John XP9XN is one of those folks who seems to uh disagree with me quite strongly on my opinion about that. And I'm good with that. I'm totally okay with that. He's more than welcome to his opinion as long as we're being civil about it. But if you watch the video that premiered tonight, you'll see my perspective, my philosophy on why or why not I see precious metals as being investments.
And ultimately, it probably doesn't really matter that much, right? With 90% buyback so low makes me think about those 1109 rounds, even with the sky-high premiums, that's that's an interesting idea. Uh I I would rather have 90% dimes, though, if I'm buying 10 ounce rounds. Uh 555. I do the same thing. Uh my credit card just gave me 15% cash back kicker for Walmart. Too bad my Christmas shopping is already done. I don't buy Chinese junk. Greg Olsson, I wasn't going to go there, but I feel you. Uh Coin Star won't take the silvers. That is correct. Coinstar kicks out anything that is suspect. And you often find regular coins and you sit there and scratch your head thinking, why did it take this nickel? Anything suspect gets booted by CoinStar. But that means uh you can find steel cents, you can find wheat scents, you can find war nickels, you can find foreign coins.
I've got a huge pickle jar, like a half gallon pickle jar completely filled with the pieces that I found at the coinar uh reject bin because it doesn't take those. And it's an interesting philosophy about CoinStar. Uh and without getting into it too much, it really does kind of tickle your brain when it comes to it. The pieces that are rejected don't belong to anybody. That's an interesting idea. This is true. They are rejected by CoinStar. So, they are not Coin Stars. They were left there by the people who put them into the machine in the first place. So, they don't belong to them. The store in which the coin star is located does not own that coin star. So, they don't belong to the store either. They literally don't belong to anybody. It's an interesting idea, right? Silver is such a fun way to build wealth. The behavior of stacking is a hobby when done methodically is just a great way to save. Ultimately, that's probably true. I hate to consider it to be savings. But there is no doubt that there is a big element of this representing wealth and it is in a large way savings. And for a lot of people, especially when people, if you're the kind of person that money slips through your fingers and you can never hold on to it, and this is the case of a lot of people. I've been like that a lot of my life. This gives you something to tie those dollars up with so you can't get your fingers on it. So it doesn't slip through your fingers. And that can't be overstated either. That's an incredibly important thing that has always been part of what precious metals represent to a large amount of people around the world, not just in America. I see gold and silver more assurance than an investment. I like that concept. That's an interesting idea. Sell checkout registers. Do I see store managers get the special coins out of machines regularly? Right. So, selfch checkckout.
There are a lot of people who check those too. I forget to check those.
Isn't that strange? I don't look at them that often, but I understand that you can find interesting things in those.
Also, I found some Canadian the local coin store. Emerald Co Stacker. I have found pieces from literally around the world in the local coin store. Uh, and I posted pictures not that long ago. I'll maybe I'll post a picture this weekend if I've got nothing else more pressing like making more videos for you guys.
But I've got literally pieces from all around the world and it's it's probably something like 25 pounds of coins at this point. Uh all I found is Canadian the coin star stack isn't savings exactly but it is saving. Yeah, I like that. That's probably more accurate. Few dimes and quarters from coinar. Uh definitely a forced savings, right? that is and it's if if that's important to you. If you are not good at uh you know putting money consistently into something that is a more of a traditional savings account then this is a very important way for you to hold on to some cash and I think that's a good idea too. There are a lot of people not the we least of which is sober stacker right um I think that's who I'm talking about. If you are a friend of bills, if this is something, if you have come off of an addiction and you are able to kind of move that concept of addiction from uh a substance to precious metals and you're not putting that money into whatever it was in the past, whether it's gambling or drugs or alcohol or anything else, this is also a lifesaver for some people. I count myself incredibly lucky and I count my blessings every day that I've never been afflicted with something like that. that if you are struggling, get help. You are worth it. But if you have been able to grab hold of that demon and exercise it to some degree, this can be an important vehicle for you to feel like you are actually getting somewhere. And I think that is a lovely way to think about precious metals.
Savings are exactly what the metals are for me, says Chris outside. I like that, too. Duby is such a smooth talker. It tickles me. Fearless leader. Uh, you know, I do uh once in a while if I feel like I've got a video that that gets to the point and and is interesting to a larger audience, we get to drop tags into our video. You guys who are content uh creators know what I'm talking about.
We get to say this video contains gold or silver or stacking or coins. And I do occasionally drop ASMR into my tags. Uh because ASMR is the um it's when people like to listen to somebody else talk or do other things. Uh and uh people love to fall asleep to the sound of my voice.
I think that is awesome. I love that. So yeah, I appreciate that. I'll take it as a compliment. Uh nailed it. Uh addiction conversion totally works. It does for some people. You know, not everything works for everybody and it is a struggle and I get that. And if you are trying to get help, if you need that motivation, I think it is a fantastic way to do uh you know, a little bit of a change in your brain chemistry if it possibly can.

If you didn't get a chance to see it, I think that that's the kind of video that's a good idea to share with other people who maybe aren't within the stacking community. You can certainly counteract everything that I said in that video. I am comfortable with people uh debating me on these kinds of things, these concepts because believe me, I have been debating these same concepts myself for about 40 years now and I never lose an argument. Uh, but truthfully, I think this is the kind of video that you can share with people who are maybe kicking around the idea of getting into physical precious metals but aren't quite sure how they work and to dispel the notion that they are investments when ultimately it doesn't make that much of a difference. They still have so much to bring to the table that it for me it's it's silly to see people who discount them. We talked about Dave Ramsey uh before and he's one of those PO folks who does not like precious metals and he will tell you the first half of the equation that I uh read off in my video tonight. But he doesn't tell you the other half. And I think that this is an important thing.
This should be an important part of your nutritious breakfast, right? This is not your entire portfolio. It probably shouldn't be. There are lots of other vehicles that you should be kind of touching base with, making sure that you're covered, that you're protecting yourself and your family for whatever happens in the future. But, uh, precious metals are amazing, and I I I'm fully admit that this is a big part of who I am. Otherwise, you guys wouldn't be sitting there listening to me talk about it. I feel like debating Dubc would be like trying to outwrap Eminem. Well, uh, I am Detroit's finest. Uh, it's a rock.
Wealth preservation. Paul Walker. That's absolutely true. It is preservation of wealth. That's the point that I was making in tonight's video and the point that you've heard me say many, many times on my channel. Even though I've never really discussed whether or not I feel precious metals are an investment before, you have heard me say on many occasions that it is taking chips off the table. This is uh having your wealth in a form that only you can mess with.
It can't be devalued. It can't be debased. uh somebody pushing a button somewhere halfway around the world is not going to decrease the value of this, at least not in the same way that a stock can be manipulated. So yeah, of course people can manipulate huge silver contracts and so forth, but when it comes down to it, when you've got it in your hand, when it's yours and you have domain over something like this, it is taking chips off the table, it is keeping other people from being able to manipulate your wealth. And as somebody who is probably way too obsessed with the idea of autonomy, I don't like other people having control over me, in case you couldn't tell that. Uh, precious metals are me to a tea, right? That's just exactly who I am. Speaking of trying to pay a Mongolian shepherd with a gold eagle, there's a guy called Financially Aware that shows his experience selling US gold and silver in other countries. Very interesting. Uh, JCZF, there's been a couple of people who do that. And there's another guy, and I don't think it's the same person.
I think I understand who you're talking about. Is that uh the the people that do videos, Tik Toks especially, about standing in front of a coin shop or a pawn shop and offering people on the street a 10 bar of silver or a 10 bar of chocolate and nobody ever winds up taking the 10 bar of silver. I understand those are incredibly highly edited. Uh and first off, it's a little bit weird that somebody would be offering us a bar of silver. I, as a huge silver hound, would be a little bit weirded out by somebody offering me a 10 oz bar of silver. Did you steal it? Is it fake? Are you trying to get me arrested? You know, that's not the kind of thing that we do. Uh, and it has nothing to do whether or not I understand what an ounce of silver is, how much it value is. Those people are getting clicks on Tik Tok or getting likes on a silly channel like YouTube.
Am I right? So, uh, it's it's fun to watch those things for entertainment, but kind of clickbaity, right? FDIC and SIPC can pick, uh, can picky cover so much and it gets annoying opening over 20 bank accounts. I don't have that many. Maybe I do. Uh, everybody, thank you so much for making the jump. How did you manage that? I think we're running out of uh half dollars. I, like I said, I only took a few rolls. Uh, 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 rolls.
That's not too bad, right? Uh, this is probably somewhere around three or $4,000 worth of silver. A little bit more than that, I think. Uh, I think we're going to see a dip soon. A nice dip. Wishful thinking maybe. I, you know, I I can't tell. You guys who've been watching my channel since I launched it, which incidentally we're coming up on three years. Can you believe that? February will be three years since I launched the channel.
Hopefully, I've improved a little bit since then. Uh, silver was like 25 bucks an ounce, $23 an ounce when I launched the channel. That's how quickly silver has gone up. And I remember those early videos me lamenting the fact that silver was 27 $28 an ounce that premiums were five or six bucks an ounce on some nicer pieces uh largely kind of in that COVID runup. Um now 60 bucks an ounce. What?
That's insane. Uh I do have a an update coming up pretty soon. My quarterly update for the last quarter of 2025.
Believe it or not, we are what 19 days away from 2026. So, I will have a quarterly update. You guys will see some of my new new pickups. And I did buy some silver this quarter, but I have to admit that I held back quite a bit. And part of it is because the price of silver, the 2026 dime has the return of the frigian cap on coinage. Most of the older coins have it, including the Morgan dollar. Greg Olsson, I think we talked about that in one of the recent live streams. Uh, the Barber coinage all has the frigian cap. In fact, we've got some worn barbers, but that's the device that you see here. The frigian cap is what they are wearing right now uh on this quarter, the walking liberty half-dollar. She is also wearing a friian cap. How cool is that? So, yeah, we're seeing a return of it. I have mixed feelings about that. I love the obverse of the dime. That is my favorite of the 2026 coinage. The reverse, I'm not feeling too much. And consequently, I probably am not going to jump on those very much. Maybe a little bit. Right.
Robert Robert Bindelhar uh Jr. I remember the mid1 1990s. Don't you wish we had the foresight to have bought more of this? I did okay though. Um 6276 melt for 280 half. So that's good to know.
Little pit stacker. The French and Moroccan coins also have the friian somewhere other the common theme. We did not invent this, right? The friian cap goes back to Roman times. So and maybe even earlier than that. might actually be Greek, but the Romans definitely had it on their coinage, but you can see that we had it on our dimes, our quarters, our half dollars for much of the 20th century.
The Morgan dollar is sporting the frigian cap. Uh, it's one of the things that I draw a comparison with when we're talking about Mexican silver because so many of the Mexican silver pieces of the 19th and 20th century also have the friian cap and an eagle on the back, just like our pieces do. It's frigian cool. Uh, and the tokens, too, right?
Kin Lidford. We've got some beautiful steam tokens from the San Francisco Mint that have the Frigian cap on it. Also, if the Smurfs wear it, it must be cool.
I never thought of it that way. I wonder if the Smurfs are wearing frigian caps.
That's really cool. Uh we've got uh Did you guys see the video that I put out this morning? No, nobody watched it. You guys were all waiting for this controversial video, so I slipped another video in earlier today. I did a um a followup to the 2025 Omega cents.
Let me just take a little quick aside if you have not seen that. Uh the United States Mint released the 2025 penny, the scent coin with a special privy mark on it. That's the Omega privy mark. And they made 232 sets with a Denver scent, a Philadelphia scent, and then a solid gold Philadelphia scent. And they sold those 232 sets at auction last night during the day yesterday. And the very last one that sold, which is considered to be the last scent that the United States Mint will ever strike, the circulation strike. Anyway, Tilly Tilly, good to see you. Tilly Tilly. Is it Tuly Tulie or is it Tilly Tully? We've been having this argument. The last coin, the last 232 set sold yesterday for $800,000.
That is 2 cents and a gold scent. That's worth about 500 bucks today in gold value. $800,000.
And these were just made a couple of weeks ago. This is a modern mint rarity that was made specifically to sell. And the mint did not offer them to the public. They went straight to stack powers and they sold to the kind of people who could afford $800,000 for three cents. Right. Little foot silver stacker. I actually called it 80 million times face value because that's what they are. Tuli tulie. Good to know.
Thank you. I appreciate that. Uh Samarians, not often. Not tonight at least. uh should have been million. Uh you know there are they have created what is arguably the most rare American scent that has ever been struck. Only 232 examples of it. And I get the off uh metal strike, right? Having one made out of gold is kind of fun. Uh the video that I made today is the followup to the video I made last week before the auction. I go a little bit into the history of these pieces. $800,000 the least expensive set. Uh and it's amazing if you actually look at these sets. The conditions were really low. These were MS-64, MS-65. The most exp the the highest grade was a 67. I think the least expensive of these sets sold for $40,000 bucks. Most of them in the $100,000 range, but then you had several that were over 150, $180,000 and even more. It's crazy. It is crazy to think of those modern pieces literally struck a few weeks ago and it wasn't a surprise. They intentionally made 232 of them and they sold for $800,000.
Uh incidentally, that set that did sell for $800,000 came along with the dyes that struck those coins. So that's kind of cool, too, right? That's almost worth 800,000 bucks, right? Uh Deb, cannot next uh could the next president just make pennies again the same as this one, stop making them? Littlefoot Silver Stacker, I believe they could, but it would require I believe an act of Congress. In fact, I'm not even sure that this president had the authority to stop them. They just did it because he told them to. Technically, I think it's an act of Congress that it's required to stop or start coinage. Uh these are legislative bills, right? This isn't the kind of thing that you can usually stop with a presidential order. But for better or for worse, they've stopped.
Now, I think they've made it very clear that they're going to continue to make proof sense. So, these are the last circulation strikes, but they're not the last sense the United States is ever going to make. In fact, I think I saw one that actually had the 2026 date on it. So, few zincans have never got over MS60 with the circulation strike. That's interesting. And it's it kind of makes you wonder, are there high-end zinc uh zinc scent collectors? I'm sure there are, right?
You could tell who the fans are. I hate that the mint will just immediately slab a special release coin and still call it the last of the circulated since ships.
I'm right there with you. And it makes me wonder, you know, what's going to happen once these floodgates are open.
And we saw this with a privy marked silver flowing hair metal and the privy marked gold coins also the flowing hair pieces from last year. You know, they're not going to stop here. They're not about to stop when they can make $800,000 striking a penny. They're not going to stop with that. They are definitely going to keep going. So, they're going to strike uh some kind of a special. We already know that they're going to make solid gold examples of several of the circulating coins, right?
They're going to continue to do this and they're going to milk it for all it's worth. And my fear ultimately, my anger, if you want to call it that much, is the fact that the average American citizen did not get access to these pieces. That makes me a little bit hot. But the fear is that the men is going to continue to strangle this. They're going to kill this golden goose, right? And eventually, we're going to get to the point where these pieces are going to be as common as what happened with the stamp hobby. And that they're going to kill it. They're going to they're going to make too many of it and they're going to wash it out and it's going to uh just not be something that has any interest pretty soon. I think that's the definite. Do you ever play back gammon?
We're looking at a back gammon board right here. Uh I'm working tomorrow as well. Um 1970 it's why we have fiat currency. I think you're definitely true there. I like the alpha and omega privy idea, but they should do it for the first day of minting and last day of minting of a design and really put it into circulation. I like that too. I like the W mintmark, right? I like the um the pieces that we've seen the quarters recently and I've got a handful of those. I've been able to pull a few of them out of circulation. The one that sold for 800,000 had the dies uh and the gold coin. Pretty nuts uh predicted 500,000. I was wrong. Silver Dragoon, I was nowhere near that much. Now it did the last one. That's what we're talking about. This is number 232 because it was the last one, right? If these are so special because they are the last of the lincolnents and set number 232 is the last of the last of the lincolnents.
That's why that one came with the dyes that actually struck these coins. And that's why that one went to 500 or to $800,000. But all of those sets included the gold coin. There was a gold a gold scent in every one of those three piece sets. and they sold for $100,000. For 50,000 to 150,000 with a few uh above that, nothing below it. 46 was the least expensive. And then the the last set sold for $800,000. Insane.
They should have used the BDB on the back. I didn't even realize that they hadn't. Golden nickel old design. It's going to come. They're going to do it.
Why would you not do it if you can make $800,000 doing it? Uh should have used real copper. Uh, I yeah, I don't know if those are zinc cents or if they're copper sense. They should at least have been copper sense for 800,000 bucks.
Jefferson Buffalo back. That sounds interesting. Solid gold buffaloos are just amazing, aren't they? I love those pieces. Those are awesome. Uh, what do you guys think? Half dollars. Yay or nay? I've never done just a half-dollar live stream. I don't even know that I've done a half hour halfdoll video before.
I love the half- dollars. I like dimes probably better. Quarters probably not so much. My my least favorite stacking vehicle is probably a quarter for some reason. I do like the half dollars and I just don't think about them very much.
This is one of the nice things of having bought this stuff years ago. I know it's there. It's in the back of my mind and it's very comforting, but I don't get it out and look at it very much, which is why I was surprised to see a mixed roll here that includes things like barber halves. I thought that was kind of fun.
Halftime says John. Uh I wish that would be cool, too. I stack stellas. How about that? I started collecting with half dollars. That's really cool. David Chung, I like that. 2005 nickel would be cool in gold. They're coming. Ces semicescal centennial. Semiquintent.
I better even stop trying. Those are coming out, right? We're going to see interesting pieces in 2026. If I could have a guard house box for each, that would be enough for me. I like that. Has a bison on the back. We did have Buffalo nickels not that long ago. I want to say 2006 were buffalo nickels, too, right?

Even I, you know, as ridiculous as these seem, you've got to make those out of copper. Capped bust or seated Liberty.

That's not true. I do have several capped busts uh half dollars. I don't think that I've got any seated Liberty half-dolls, though. I don't really have very much seated anything. It's kind of surprising. I have the most seated dimes of anything and I have found all of those with my metal detector. How about that?
Any dub video is a good video. Not a professional fluffer. I'm certainly not.

At least not very often. Uh I love talking about precious metals, unfortunately. I've got some experience that I get to share that kind of stuff with you. What's your thoughts on old mining town silver tokens? Uh I would I the idea excites me. I think it's really cool. be very careful. These were the kinds of things that were replicated in the 1970s when America was going through the bicesentennial and we had a lot of people who were interested in things that didn't really exist. We call those fantasy tokens. So, especially if you're talking about things like catouse token, bordello tokens, those kinds of things, almost certainly fantasy pieces. Those aren't real. There are of course some real pieces from mining towns. Those would be really cool, too. But that's kind of like coal script. I think there are a lot of coal mines that had their own money. Uh Tennessee Ernie Ford's uh you load 16 tons. Uh you owe your soul to the company's store. That's because the company store sold you everything and you worked in the mines and you had to buy your stuff from the mines using the coins that the company's store provided you with. So I think there's a lot of interesting history there. It's not something that I collect very much.
I don't collect that many things in the ways of tokens, but you will see some in my coin collection, and those videos start to appear in 2026. I guarantee it.

She must have been wild before I met [laughter] her. Google said zinc. What a depressing thing to see that those pieces sold for 800,000 and they're zinc. I kind of want to get some of the sound. Uh they sound cool, but I just don't know about them to get into it. Infinite Mag, uh go go go um you know slowly. Definitely go slowly dip your toes into it. Make sure you understand what you're buying because there are inauthentic pieces out there.
But if it's something that's exciting to you, something that's interesting you to you, definitely pursue it. Yeah, I mean I like that idea. Uh, you can become an expert in those the way that Dubcy is an expert in everything, right everybody?
Uh, problem is I was and didn't buy anymore for a few years. Was into sense and nickels at the time. 10:30 p.m. is a little late for lunch. [laughter] 12:30 p.m. here in Japan. Uh, Jamie Frost, I keep on forgetting that you're in Japan. That's uh, you know, I don't think I've got that many people in Japan. And I know you're an expat, but the idea of being in Japan sounds like it'd be a lot of fun in a lot of ways.
Really like the video tonight. Got me thinking. If you do end up selling something, please consider putting together a video about how you chose to sell uh uh by Gonzent. I I definitely would have done that. Unfortunately, I'm in a really awkward position with some of these pieces and that a lot of you guys know what they are. So, uh, in this case, when I was reaching out to my dealer, I was trying to be as generic as possible. And I would definitely share with you guys if that were to happen. I would tell you, I sold five 10 bars or I sold, you know, 300 face in uh, Morgan dollars or whatever it is, but I probably wouldn't give you specifics.
And if you can't give specifics, it's not that interesting of a video. It's a it's a neat idea for doing the mental gymnastics, but it's not a very engaging video when you get to see fun physical stuff like this. I do appreciate the comment though. Coal mine tokens kind of sounds like the goldback system. We're not going to go there, right? I think I like to hear you sing that song in baritone. But I do listen to um Sirius XM8s or um First Wave most of the time when I'm taking a shower. What about wooden and plastic tax tokens? My state has those in the 1930s. There are beautiful pieces that came out in um ivory from some parts of the world. We have seen beautiful pieces made out of porcelain in other parts of the world.
Ethnographic money is an exciting thing to dive into. I've talked about it a little bit that is everything that's not kind of a traditional western coin has been used as money in all sorts of societies around the world. It's really interesting, but it's also incredibly tedious in some ways. Question for you, Dub. If uh if and when you decide to sell some of your collection, would you offer to your subscribers first? I would not. Uh this is not something that I ever really feel like I want to do. And it's it's not that I, you know, that I don't want to sell to you guys. It's just that I've made a point to not sell anything via my channel. I value the um the opinions about my subscribers too much and I value my independence too much. That autonomy that I talked about before that I don't want to blend these worlds. Uh I I've mentioned before that I'm a bit of a vest pocket dealer. I do sell, but I'm typically not selling the kinds of things that we talk about here when we're talking about live streams.
Uh the last piece that I sold was in excess of $10,000, I want to say. So, it's not the kind of thing that I I would want to do videos about. And it was it's also in a way kind of just to protect my identity a little bit. There are lots of people out there who know who I am. Uh but I'd rather keep it as anonymous as I possibly can. And a lot of that has to do with the fact that I want to be able to share these ideas without having to uh you know check my words very carefully. I want to be able to speak openly and honestly with you guys. I like the idea though and the fact that you guys would be open to that makes me feel really good. I do like that. I do hoard. You're not wrong. Uh who's going to crack the dub code first?
Trust me. There's no reason to do that.
There's there's nothing interesting behind this. You guys are getting the best of me. There's no reason to go any further than that. believe me. Uh, I'm just a dude who is a stacker just like all of us here. Um, you can't crack a moral code. I hope that's the case.

If you do not know Tuli Tulie's channel, if you don't know Kilo's channel, if you don't know Crow Dragon Pirates channel, I don't even remember what the new name is. He just changed the name of his channel. Did you guys know that? I did not know that. I actually was watching a video and I'm like, "This guy sounds just like Crow Dragon Pirate." Uh, he changed the name of his channel recently. Uh, so that is exactly what Batman would say. [laughter] Uh, check out my fellow YouTubers. There are people who put out amazing content.
It's not easy to write a really nice video. It takes a fair amount of discipline and it takes a fair amount of effort. And the fact that you guys want to share your time with us is incredibly cool. I love to be able to have these conversations with you. If you did not catch tonight's video, definitely go back and take a look at it again. Watch it all the way through, though. Uh, I will be around this weekend as much as I can be. There are holiday festivities, Christmas things going on. So, I will try to catch my fellow YouTubers over the weekend. Uh, Bluecollar was in the chat earlier and Vegas was in the chat, I think, um, when we were still in the video tonight, tonight's premiere video.

I mentioned in this video the Kansas kid and I used his video as a springboard for doing tonight's premiier video. I watched his video. He actually put out a video where he says that he does feel like precious metals are an investment and he made a pretty good argument for it. So, if you're not familiar with Kansas kid, definitely check out his channel also. Uh, uh, Mustard and Gold put out a video that was very similar to Kansas Kids video about whether or not precious metals are investment. I think it's a really good idea to get lots of different perspectives whenever you can.
So, definitely check out my fellow YouTubers. Uh, they have invaluable information and you guys know that I say that we did not have this kind of tool 30 years ago. I would have killed to have this kind of information, these opinions from people who sometimes you agree with, sometimes you don't agree with, but being able to use them as a sounding board while you're trying to figure out for yourself where you want to go with this stuff, it's amazing.
Definitely take advantage of it and listen to my fellow YouTubers. It's a lot of fun. Uh, I'm waiting for that table to break. We're not going to break it tonight because we didn't get that heavy, but I do have some interesting videos coming up very soon. We might approach that. Thank you everybody for stopping in.
