A fascinating look at how migration creates cultural enclaves that defy national borders and colonial maps. It proves that identity is a fluid result of human movement rather than just geographic location.

I Found a Nigerian Town Where They Speak French & Eat French Food 🇫🇷
Added:I want to buy this bread.
Ah, this is I call bread. No sugar.
>> This is French.
>> So, are you the one that are you the one that is making you understand?
>> Yes, I can do 500.
>> So, I want to try their food.
Guys, can you believe where we are? Is a French town in state. I want to show you one thing. What is written on the sign sign post you are seeing right here.
They use French and English. That's how you are going to be seeing everything French in the in the town. Most people that live in this town, one or two people, they have people that is living in Ivory Coast and some other French um country like that.
So we are going to be exploring today.
I'll be showing you some so many interesting thing about if you watching my video for the first time, make sure you subscribe and don't forget to like and share my video.
for you to see. We are in Ajigu. I want to show you right here. Welcome to Ajibo.
So, we are in Ajigu. Now, I've been walking. I've been walking from one town around that side. They call the town >> um Inisa. Ina.
>> It's not Inisa, but that Inisa is ora.
Let's cross to the other side.
In this side is view.
Lori Lor.
coming.
Okay.
So, you see you hear that most people most people that is living here, they live in a coast and most of them they there is no any family that don't have one or two people that that is that live in Ivory Coast in in this town we are.
Uh this this place used to be a church but it's not there is no any church here no more. Okay.
>> All right. Take care, sir.
That's the man that tell us about Ivory Coast.
It feel like I'm in Ivory Coast already because I've been to Ivory Coast before and I I can I can even tell people one or two things about the place. So that the reason why I know some of other things because when I was there I met couple of people who told me they are from this place and that was the first time the first time I came here I think um 2018 2017 I came to this town then just to make some one or two inquiry about every but I did not come to make any video I was not yet to make video that Then there's nobody in this house again.
I've been walking more than more than an hour now from Unisa to this place. It's not easy. You see that place number that's so that we are in every you are in every co in state. You see that plate number or your or your state is not far to at all. And there are some towns under undergo too.
So if you um take it simple, life is simple. If you take it hard, life is hard. So, and they actually into business and education.
Yes. Business, education, then farming.
Yeah. They actually love farming.
Especially Saturday morning. They don't joke it. Even if they have a wedding program, they will still go to that farm. And yeah. So, they actually believe in hard work too. Yeah. They believe in hard work. So, and there's this say cuz I'm actually more closer to more of the ingredient they will be like um so that is most of their saying if you don't work you will see the result if you walk you see the result so that is why most people are striving hard to educate their children to give them the little they can so they will actually tell you but there's this They eat moa.
So that is most of their what's it called? Even those that couldn't avoid in private school at least they still struggle to put their children in secondary school. And so life has been easy. Not at this collaboration bandit and the likes. Mo most of most of their um what's it called their let me say my mom used to call it one English their London. Yes. small London is a which is Kova. So and we all know Kodva is French speaking country. So that is why most of them especially their children they will have to make them explore more. So by going there they have more experience more understanding and so from there they would there's not 3 months they will understand it even little little so gradually. Do they also spend um Yes, they do. And there is places we change the money as well.
>> Can I speak French? No, >> not even local government.
So most.
So even very soon.
So and then investment.
So many solar even when Best part. See you.
Irish area for anything Mostly what people speak in. This place is French.
>> This place like this and this place we are going to this time playing one of the important rules in Ivy Cru. So people that are from this place they travel there a lot and there is no there is no way you are going to walk in Ivory Coast without seeing people of this. They travel there you always see them every school in this place.
How it tells us?
He said he said many years It is even time you can see I'm even calling this place I coast because most people have been seen they are talking about ivy coast ivy that the reason sorry I'm in Nigeria most most people from this place they live in ivy coast So that the reason why I'm calling this place there's a place right you can you can you can pass through this side and street like this to to their time to the to the to the city the city town mostly you'll be seeing in those side is old houses but where we are is there is also their old places but it's not really bad there is a church where Christ church they don't write the year they founded this church but I I know this one of the oldest church in the community Because the the building, you know, the architecture of it that's what make make me say that.
How are you?
They are selling a care around this side. I don't know. So brother also I beg where they are selling Ivory Coast food around this side in this garage. Okay. Thank you.
They sell the meat the food.
They are selling the food in the garage.
>> Yes, they are selling the food if you want to buy.
There is also a school here. There is one school from one place to another in the town. There is a school here Baptist school.
It was founded 19 44.
I can't see it very well. 84.
1984 that is when they founded this school you are seen right here and it's still here today we just entered their town the me of this place you know this is this is one of the church in the community I don't know okay Baptist church the church is a Baptist It was founded 4th March 19 85 1985.
Yep.
Lots of people are here and it is evening time in this place. Now most people they are coming. Some people that go to work and some people they go to some other places and there's a lot of sellers. They are selling different thing in the town.
>> Yes.
This is our palace in I'm just here to know one or two things about the but they tell me um the king is not around.
They cannot tell tell us any story but now they give us another come back here.
So there is nothing we can do and in front of it sorry hola there is a central mosque right here.
Saturday.
Okay.
travel at every was 25 years So French Ivory Coast friends.
Nigeria, the market is so big. Last time I came here, I met some couple of people right right there that day. I always lucky.
The last time I came to the town, it was during the market day that day and today too.
Okay.
How many years?
What's this bread?
Ah, >> this is I will buy you this one. What do you call it?
>> What do you call bread?
>> Eh, >> bread. No sugar.
>> This is French bread.
>> African.
Yes.
300.
You can see we in their market and they are they they are selling um everything.
>> How much is this one?
>> 500.
>> So I want to try their food.
It's okay. No sugar. Is there butter inside?
>> The butter is there, but the bread don't have no sugar.
So, of course, there are We try to to get tangerine from I want to be testing tangerine in the jig market. You know now I tell you guys where we are is a French speaking town.
You cannot believe we just see random woman that is selling bread. Can you imagine >> she's selling bread with bread from from the from Ivory Coast.
But one thing I one thing I can say about um our own bread is the bread is not really too hard. You know some French country you want to buy that kind of bread it's going to be hard but this one is not hard is soft but no sugar bread. It's no sugar bread.
There is no any sugar.
>> So don't let us forget on our fruits. We are going to be trying it.
We are going to be trying it.
The tangerine is not really too bad.
This is our mosque in this place.
>> Central mosque.
Huh?
>> No, we go just go now. That side we go.
We go take bikes now.
I just want to this place.
So you can see their market is so massive. Very massive.
You can see there's a lot of people in more than even what I think a lot of people are here.
The reason why the reason why we cannot see where they are selling um the food right now is because we we are you know it is evening time. I come during evening time because I uses one time around this today. That's the reason why I cannot be able to show you where they are selling the food.
