This video teaches that personal growth and progress are often gradual and quiet, and that even small, consistent efforts over time lead to meaningful improvement; it encourages learners to look back at their journey and recognize their own progress rather than focusing only on current shortcomings.

Learn English Through Story 🌧️ | Anna's Rainy Day | Small Progress MattersAñadido:
Listen and practice.
Anna and the rainy day.
It was a cold and rainy afternoon. Dark clouds filled the sky and small drops of rain slowly touched the windows.
Anna sat quietly on the bus after work.
She looked outside and watched people walking quickly under umbrellas.
Some looked tired, some looked worried, some looked lost in their thoughts. Anna felt the same. That day had not gone well. She made mistakes at work. She forgot important things. She felt slow, tired, and disappointed in herself.
For the first time in many days, Anna felt like she was not moving forward.
She closed her eyes for a moment. Then she remembered something. Last year, things were much harder.
Back then, Anna often felt lonely. She worried about many things. She did not feel confident and her English was much worse. She remembered the days when simple English sentences looked impossible.
She remembered feeling afraid of making mistakes.
She remembered wanting to give up. But she did not give up.
Slowly, day by day, she continued.
Small habits, small effort, small steps.
Anna opened her phone and looked at old notes. She saw old English words she had written. Beautiful, morning, dream, hope. She smiled a little. These words looked difficult before. Now they felt easy. Then she looked at an old voice recording. It was her English speaking practice from many months ago. Anna listened. She suddenly laughed. Her pronunciation sounded nervous and awkward, but she kept listening. Then she became quiet. Not because it sounded bad, but because she realized something important. She had changed. Not quickly, not perfectly, but little by little. The rain outside became softer.
Anna looked out the window again.
Nothing outside had changed. The sky was still gray. The weather was still cold, but inside Anna felt lighter. Sometimes we feel sad because we compare ourselves to where we want to be. But we forget to look back and see how far we have already come. When Anna arrived home, she opened her notebook. She wrote one sentence. You are not the same person you were before. Then she added, "And that is progress." She closed the notebook and smiled. Some days are difficult. Some days feel slow, but moving slowly is still moving.
Sometimes we focus too much on what we still don't have. We look at our problems, mistakes, and unfinished goals, but we forget something important. Look back sometimes.
You may realize that you are stronger, wiser, and better than before.
Progress does not always make noise.
Sometimes it grows quietly, and even small progress is still progress.
Disappointed, feeling sad because something was not good. Anna felt disappointed after work. Lonely, feeling alone or sad. She felt lonely last year.
Awkward, strange or uncomfortable.
My first English recording sounded awkward. Compare, to look at differences between things.
Do not compare yourself to others.
Progress, improvement over time.
I see progress in my English.
Journey, the process of going from one place or situation to another over time.
Learning English is a long journey.
