They were the first humans there. In Taiwan there were pre-Austronesians. So there were people living here before today's Austronesian people. And so Taiwan indigenous people don't say we were the first. They just say we were here before you, you know. And and then the other word is tribe. So for ever since they've been known as the 16 tribes of Taiwan, the the main main ones. That's also slowly shifting where people are saying peoples. So instead of saying the Amis tribe, we're saying the Pangcah. We're using the correct term because Amis is also a applied term. The Pangcah people.
