Questions rise over the impact weight loss drugs may have on mood

[00:00:35]>> Oddly enough, baseball was the first clue. I've always been an avid baseball fan. I've been a huge Cubs fan from the time I was born. And it's just always been something that I've followed very closely. And it was a couple of years into my GLP-1 journey that I really started to realize, you know, I haven't been following baseball at all.

[00:00:54]>> A problem obesity specialist Dr. Christopher McGawan is hearing from a growing number of patients. So, this lack of enthusiasm is not just in people's heads. It's a little unclear how frequent it's actually occurring because this was not studied in the original clinical trials, but what patients are telling us is a general decrease in interest, in joy, or in pleasure in activities that they previously enjoyed.
