What up? What up? Good morning. Good morning, GMG.
What is Thursday, July 16th, 2026? Look at that. Another beautiful day. You have a beautiful day. I got my co-host in the house, Tyler. Good morning. How you doing today?
I'm doing all right. I'd be better if I wasn't living in a a plume of wildfire smoke. So, the the Canadian wildfires have the smoke has drifted through the United States Midwest and Northeast and it is terrible like to the point where like you can't go outside. Um but per perhaps perhaps that's good for Marcus.
Everyone in a quarter of the country is going to be locked inside for the next couple days.
Good.
We need to have them buying our bags for the next couple days.
Uh but that's that's good news. That's good news. I think Europe's going to go through it again. So, uh so this is good. You know, get people inside. Get them buying uh our Robin Hood chain meme coins. Uh get them back on there, you know, get them back buying, you know, the the big black bull and all that good stuff. And get us get them pumping bags, you know, not my bags. got none of it, but you know, the people's bags. Uh that would be good. But anyways, sorry.
Today the show classic. We'll go through everything. Looks like uh we were talking about bass yesterday and the days before that. So there's been some change. We literally last couple of days was the one of the biggest top pickers conversation on the show. So uh so we're there. So we'll talk about that. We'll discuss Kobe and all that. We'll discuss the markets. We'll go some news. I think it's a slower news day. Then we'll get into world some world cup, you know, as we get into the final predictions. You know, two more matches, one big one, one little one. Uh and uh and we'll get into that. So, let's just get this party going.
>> Yeah, folks. The crypto board a little soft. Uh midweek pullback is how I describe it. Nothing too crazy. So Bitcoin's down half percent 642. ETH is actually leading. It's slightly green at 1885, but it was over 1900 yesterday. So a pullback from there. Soul hanging out at 76. It's not really making a big move either way. Hype gave back some gains down 3% 65 85. Zcash gave back some gains as well down 49% at 547.
Um looking across broader markets similarly uh this the crypto moved pretty similar in stocks. So NASDAQ's down.7% the Dow is flat. Uh oil is continuing to hang out at $80 a barrel. No real movement there. Gold down 1.4%. Wow. Lost 4K. So Bitcoin continues to outperform gold here.
Zoomed in. As we look at headlines, the biggest headline from the day, this caught folks by surprise. Jesse Paul came out said he apologized I was wrong about content coins said he was sorry about it and that he's handing over the base to Kobe. Kobe has since came out made some statements he's taking over all the trading products it seems at Coinbase. So there's a lot to unpack from that announcement. We also had Shimoth uh come out and write a 73page report on privacy and crypto. It is paywalled. um gives you a little bit of a taste >> for free. Basically, he talks about the Monero uh and Zcash thesis and why it's important in the modern era. Uh so, it's similar thesis that we've talked about before, but I think it's always interesting coming from a a heavy hitter like that. So, those are two of the big stories. Um Stripe has bid $53 billion to acquire PayPal, uh which would merge Stripe's Bridge and Tempo stable coin rails along with PayPal's PYUSD. So, that's a huge story for the stable coin space. Trump is expected to attend a White House meeting today to hash out the Clarity Act uh ethics debate. So, watch that meeting. This is arguably the the most important kind of do or die meeting for that bill. Uh so, we'll see what comes out of that. Um, in international regulatory news, South Korea is going to modify some laws to classify crypto as national assets, which would help integrate it in their financial system. And then Japan is also doing similar um paving the way for a flat 20% capital gains tax rate. ETFs inflows yesterday, 107 million into Bitcoin, 54 million into ETH. So, ETH continues to outperform on a market cap basis pretty substantially on the inflow front. Um in token air dropping and protocol news OAM we talked about this briefly yesterday $18 million exploit uh these oracle attacks are the are the latest trend in these DeFi exploits. Um a Stanford study flag manipulation and volume markets fiveminute Bitcoin markets finding 820 traders were nudging the settlement price with last second Binance orders to win on prediction markets. I thought that was interesting.
It's a blood bath on Robin Hood chain folks. It is nasty. All the previous winners have just gotten smoked. But from the the ashes that the new riser is tendies tendies up 4x on the day leading top movers. Not a whole lot of action on Salana. Anom continues its fall. Solid 170 million.
>> Oh wow.
>> This morning so it's down quite far from highs. And NFTTS not a whole lot going on. D with the most likes had some big auctions running last night. Some of his NFT collections. Nameless Dread Beef Brothco jumps 30 to 40% on the back of that. And that is our rundown.
>> All right. All right. All right. All right. Let's talk about this gulp dump because this is literally something we talked about yesterday. They'll move on to the Jesse stuff. We got some some the Chamoth stuff. It's very interesting.
And what's under the hood?
>> I think surely Robin is going to sponsor this segment at this stage. Uh, but I want to bring gold up first because you and I literally went into gold yesterday talking about how weak it looked and this is literally the candle that followed uh the show.
So, we were talking about this is I was I was I brought it up. I said this does not look great. It's kind of descending down. It's failing to make any any highs actually. And then you brought up the gold BTC BTC gold chart we you know rightfully called looking bottomed out looks great to me. I don't believe this will end here. This this trend now that doesn't mean Bitcoin pumps insanely and I just think probably gold keeps going down and Bitcoin will kind of you know slow grind up. What do you think here?
>> Yeah, that that's pretty much my take as well. I don't think we're seeing explosive moves on Bitcoin in the next few months. Yeah.
>> Um, but it does feel like the gold trade has lost a lot of momentum, >> a lot.
>> I think the Bitcoin trade is much more interesting. A lot of store value. If you're looking at store value trades, gold just went gang busters, broke out of a multi-year consolidation, jumped 150%. Meanwhile, Bitcoin is 60% off highs. Uh, I think it makes it look a little bit more attractive. So, I like it. I I think this is still one of the more interesting ratios to monitor and I think it's going to go much higher over the coming months.
>> It's uh yeah, this is very true. So I I don't see it getting any better.
Question. Let's see. I haven't looked at silver and stuff. I'm assuming silver and co are following the trend. Yeah.
Looks disgusting.
>> Silver's rough. Yeah.
>> Just nasty. This straight up just looks nasty. Wow. I mean it was never meant to go that high. I think it got squeezed up, right? It's 50 bucks.
>> It It squeezed when CT bought the top on Hyperlid there for for a few.
>> What can we take before I click copper?
Can we guess the price?
>> Okay. I I have not seen it.
>> Me neither.
>> I'm going to guess it is within 5% of $6.
I'm gonna say it's $610.
>> I'm gonna say $5.85.
No, that's the wrong one. That's copper futures. Jesus. Which one? Which one is the What's the right one?
>> We got to find it and see what's uh >> No, futures. Futures. Futures.
CFD.
It's like six. No, that's not the one.
Which one's the right copper?
>> Oh, it's on CNBC. They've got it at 635.
So, >> there you go. That's the right one.
Whatever is on the hyperlquid. Well, it's still six bucks. That's actually impressive, bro.
>> Why can't I find the right copper?
>> Had I held my copper position for the last four months, I'd be >> Dude, I can't find it. What's the ticker chat?
>> Yeah, I don't know. Why can't Why can't we find copper?
>> Copper USD.
>> Well, how about copper enu?
>> Uh, I haven't checked on that. It's just copper on on Hyperlink. just >> I'm so confused then.
>> Yeah, I don't know why I can't find it.
Um, copper enu, what a blast in the past. I haven't checked on that one in a while, but let's >> copper futures. It's at 1300 >> and it's at a million, so not not great.
>> Am I like am I redacted here?
>> Yeah, I think so.
>> Yeah, sorry. Like, okay. Anyways, point being so there's that. Uh, look at have a look at Bitcoin. Still looks good. I mean, dip this morning, pump on the open despite um markets being flattish, slightly down.
>> Um, so look too bad to me. But again, that 64 MK mark, right? Just looks like one big chop zone here.
So, nothing to flag unless you have something to flag. I have nothing to flag >> going on here in the near term.
>> ETH dumped as well back in 8090.
Obviously better than where it was, but couldn't couldn't get to 2K just yet.
Will it? Maybe. I think if you're long from before, probably hold that. Like if I was long from lower, I'd be holding my positions here. Obviously, I'm not. But >> okay, I think it's still one next to Bitcoin Gold. I think ETH Bitcoin is another interesting one.
>> Yeah, it is. So, looking quite bottomed out, but need more juice here. ETH BTC.
Let's have a quick look. Oh, wow. It's lower. Oh, I'm on the one hour. I'm going go on daily.
>> Yeah, I just kind of sold off against Bitcoin, but zoomed out. It's >> zoomed out. It's still not that bad. And then hype was hype had a good day, but then I think gave some back. Yeah, I mean that's still not bad, right? Hype is literally just consolidating here.
This could happen for the next two months.
>> It's not a bad thing.
>> That might be our base case, right? Just like kind of thinking about this. So like I think like what are the macro catalyst like for Bitcoin for crypto majors? So we've got FOMC in two weeks.
>> Clarity Act which is clearly seemingly never happening.
>> I guess that's the wild card today. If there is some big progress in this Trump meeting >> and it's interesting that he's getting involved, right? Because the major complaints are about him specifically.
>> Well, he really wants it, right? So he's going to push through probably.
So like if if he like says like okay yeah like you can make rules about the president the president's family like maybe this thing actually gets across the the goal line and I saw someone's take yesterday that that's not priced in and I would agree that clarity act getting passed is not priced in in any capacity right now. So that could be uh that could be a a pump catalyst. The other like wild card overhanging everything today, and I think perhaps the broader reason that maybe we're chopping uh is again this Trump uh address tonight to the American public at 9:00 PM uh which is all about free and fair elections. So we'll we'll see what comes out of that. Um hopefully nothing too crazy. Let's just we can leave it at at that. And then looking forward, we've got FOMC in two weeks and then the next one's not till September.
War said he's not going to give much forward guidance. So like if if he doesn't let's assume they're not going to hike raise that's that's it's like 99% or 90% they're not going to do that.
Um you'll be looking at his commentary but if he doesn't really tip his hand and I can that kind of sets us up for just like a choppy August because I don't really know what else is out there and then things will get more interesting into Q4. So, I think that's kind of my current base outlook for the next few months.
Um, there are a couple wild cards just like we we laid out with uh the Clarity Act is is certainly one. If the ETFs really turn around, that is another one.
I mean, we're seeing some nice action, but even even on a streak that we're on where there's inflows for most of the last, three of the last four days, six, seven of the last 10, but like one big day outflows just kind of neutralizes it all. Um, so it's still kind of just up and down.
>> Yeah.
>> My base case is just keep the [ __ ] going. Yeah, you probably get some trades like you just got opportunity to get sick trade near off the bottom the VVV short like some you catch some cash cat some hoods like just that's not going to stop right on black bull. So it's not it's not one of these bears like oh the market's boring there's no opportunities. It's this this bar market bare market has been filled with opportunities right $200 million runner every couple months. Um, so there is, but it's still expected to be quite kind of boring in the sense that, you know, it's still pretty boring, right? Like these runners run for a week and then stop running. So there's that. Uh, on the other hand, the bigger news, I mean, something we've been talking about for the last the last two shows, uh, we've been talking about how, you know, what a mistake from, uh, and somewhat of a fumble for Coinbase, you know, versus Robin Hood, now base versus Hood. Um, and you know, Brian uh Armstrong came out saying content coins were pretty much a mistake. Um, and here goes Jesse Pak saying kind of admitting to that mistake. I didn't read I don't think I'm going to read the whole thing, but um yeah, he basically comes out and says he made two bets over 2024 2025. One that builders would drive the next wave of crypto adoption and two that onchain social would be the other big driver.
and he said that he thinks the first one is correct um that builders have driven the next leg and he points to perbs and prediction markets and I think that's right um but that social was he was totally wrong on it and it really hasn't panned out. He talks about Farcaster and Zora and how they didn't really make any headway and that they really didn't they also did not do a good job Coinbase in prediction markets and per that they they've been outplayed by their competition. Uh so he admits that he goes on to say that he's going to focus now on base the blockchain uh making it the the home for global finance and he's going to focus on stable coins per prediction markets tokenization >> and AI agents basically it's like all the key buzzwords. Um >> yeah of course >> then the bigger news is that he's turning over the base app to Kobe. Kobe's gonna take over the base app.
>> Um I was looking for commentary uh from Kobe.
>> He he gave it via >> we have a reply.
>> Yeah, he just gave it he gave it via reply just like in such Kobe fashion.
U yeah if we just want to read it. I decided rather than chilling to instead make my life incredibly stressful and busy. So now I'm responsible for trading products Coinbase Coinbase app probab etc. So, this is more than just base app. He's taking over at Coinbase Pro, uh, the Coinbase app as well. So, this is a pretty big deal.
U, so there's a lot to unpack from this.
I think I think we should just go through it all. Um, >> yeah, >> I mean, first, like reactions to Jesse's like his two bets.
And I don't think he made the wrong bets like betting on, you know, saying onchain builders are going to drive the next wave. Uh >> his team has just unfortunately lagged those and then onchain social like I don't think that was necessarily a a bad bet. Um it just didn't didn't really pan out. I think that the reason everyone got so mad at him was like the whole content coins and then on the flip side they had some products like in the AI space like coming off the virtuals ecosystem >> they dominated the AI space >> but at the same time it seemed like they weren't always like leaning into some of their it was weird and chose who they would >> well they did not support the right founders clearly behind the scenes I think there was a lot of complaints um and he was super wrong about content coins and I still don't think he thinks he's wrong, dude. I was wrong whether it was timing wrong. Is Anom a creator coin? Like I still don't think Jesse generally thinks he's wrong.
Like I'm reading this as like hey like you know he's kind of like you don't need to poke in with the Anom stuff. The Anom thing is not a creator coin. It's memecoin. Um and the whole tokenized absolutely everything thing never worked. Um but we'll see. I guess that is the best thing that could happen. I mean, Jesse needs to go at this stage. It's like a coach, right? The coach not it's not working. Coach got to go, right?
>> Um, >> yeah, I think that's right. I mean, I respect him coming out of making the statement.
>> It's great. I mean, it's a good statement. Then there's a reply he continued, etc., etc., etc. It's so much different buying the Black Bull that's bundled and he's doing his own version of like air drops and this and that. He's running it like a proper meme coin, blah blah blah.
Um, there's no such thing as a content coin. And uh so uh so that is that alpha and I'm also not going to just let JY fade away token when I launch something I'm in it for the long term. Oo >> yo I'm Jesse line. I'm okay with that.
>> Okay. And Kobe replied to the reply as well again. He said if you want me to fix stuff you just need to tell me what's [ __ ] And if it's not fixed in a month then you get to call me a slur.
And he's been pretty good so far, you know, with the >> He has. So, let's give him his credit.
Like, he kind of came in. So, he's kind of telegraphed this, right? So, you know, Ekko got acquired.
>> Yeah.
>> He could have ridden off into the sunset with his I forget the total like was it 150 million? Was it 300 million?
Somewhere in there.
>> It was 400 million. No, >> Jesus. 400 million. He he he could have ridden off into the sunset. Instead, he he started doing customer service and was like, "Let me know if you are one of those people who's having problems with funds locked on Coinbase and I'll try to get that fixed for you."
>> And he did it and those complaints largely went away.
So, like the the bull case for for Coinbase is now you've got a guy who's clearly driven, who has one of the, you know, more valuable perspectives in the space as as a native trader >> uh running the show.
So, it it feels like a a pretty big paradigm shift. Now, at the same time, it's not he's got an uphill battle to to face for sure. Like the competition. I I wrote stuff in the newsletter. You've got sex competition from like folks like Kraken who are hungry to IPO. You know, they're doing everything they can to generate traction. You've got other apps like Pump Fun and FOMO who are expanding into they started as memecoins. Now they're expanding into trading everything.
>> You got Koshi which is grow is prediction markets and per now and Robin Hood of course which is uh you know arguably one of their their biggest direct competitors which just launched its own chain and has all the hype in the world.
>> So and I feel like Coinbase like sentiment to me seems like it's been going it kind of mirrors the stock price which happens in crypto. Yeah.
>> Um, so he's he's gonna have to fix that, but I feel like he can't. I mean, is there a more universal >> sentiment for sure?
>> Yeah.
>> I guess it's a good spend of 400 million if they launch a token and they make it to the billions.
Um, if there's anyone who can do it, it's Kobe.
You know, I hadn't really even started thinking about what this would mean for the for a base token. Um, Kobe has spent a lot of time writing about tokconomics. So, I think at a minimum if a token comes, it would be done well and >> you would you would you would be forced to trade that like you I think you would be forced to long it >> if launching a token effectively >> with base. So, that's going to be big. I don't know how an airdrop would work. I I've written any kind of base air drop to zero. Um at this point, just assume there's a lot of people who've been doing a lot more on that chain than I have.
>> Uh I was up there during the fintech era back when bass was new and f was the only app. Uh I was a leading base trader there for a bit, but uh have certainly slowed down a bit since. Yeah, it's uh yeah, this is this is very true. So, good best of luck for them. I mean, now Kobe's in charge of me. Interesting. I like it and I hope it works out for sure. Uh the next thing is let's talk about Chimath's piece.
>> Yeah. Uh so this one caught me, but I surprised I saw it this morning. Uh Shimoth published a Substack 73 pages and it's all about privacy.
Um and he he titles it in his expost deep dive the only tokens that are up this crypto winter and and he's pointing at uh the privacy tokens here. And he starts with an overview of why you need privacy. He talks about Bitcoin having a fungeability problem and that everything's traceable. So like once you have an account that is somehow tied to you, there is no privacy. I think we all know that. But like basically once you are tied to an account, everyone can see everything that you do. Um and he talks about how privacy fixes this and he goes through like how ZK proofs work. He he describes some of the basics. Um, and then in the paywald report, I think he starts going through the individual tokens like Monero, like Zcash.
>> What's his favorite >> pros and cons of each? I didn't I didn't subscribe. I didn't pay. So, I didn't get a chance to to to get to the the answer on this. I don't know. Have we seen anything in the markets?
>> Zeke is down two and a half%. How's Monero today?
>> Zeke is Yeah. strong uh XMR uh USDT.
Swear they're all perpetual contracts.
>> Uh I feel I swear XMR has been the same price for like three years.
>> Yeah, we talked about this with D. It's crazy. Yeah, >> the February price.
>> The one big pump was when the guy was like actively uh >> wait, it's the same price as let's say here and May last year.
every time like it looks good. It looks bottomed out. It's going to break out.
This [ __ ] goes to 360 and X back down 330, but it's still green. Still, it's still doesn't look bad.
>> So, is it Shamath and his buddies who've been driving up the Zeke token over the last couple weeks?
>> That makes sense. No.
>> Yeah, it's very possible. I mean, there's clearly big money behind Zeke and support. And I mean that in a good way.
Like I I like to bet on Zeke.
>> Everyone's always like in the whole Monero versus Zeke debate, everyone's like, "Oh, criminals use Monero." But here's the thing, like people like Shimoth aren't using privacy as criminals. like they want they like the use case because they want to live in California and they don't want >> Roana coming out and taking 50% of their money, right? Like that's the new use case for for privacy. So maybe it it originated it was born uh out of the the criminal sector, but there are more use cases now in in 2026. Uh so I can get behind it. Zeke is still disclosure one of my biggest positions. Um, >> makes sense.
>> So, I'm I'm gonna ride this one out through the cycle. And we we've seen the fractals. We've seen the the Bitcoin 2017 fractals overlaid on Zcash. And if folks don't quick reminder, it's they have the same tokconomics, but a few cycles behind.
>> So, look at the at those fractals if you want a good time.
>> Huh.
>> But big voice big voice behind. We'll have to to listen to the the pod this week. See if he if he talks about it.
>> For sure. And he's for sure will. I mean, with the 73 page report, you bet your ass talk about it on the uh on the All-In uh podcast. Let's go. Let's see what's good under the hood. Ty, >> the hood chain.
>> The hood chain. Because this this topic of discussion still to this date, it's going to be for a long time.
>> So, how this segment? Maybe we need an intro jingle. It's good. We can we can flip it and send to Vlad every day.
>> Oh my god. Cash cat is sub 100 now.
>> Terrible. Yeah. Absolute blood bath.
>> Oh wow. It looks bad.
>> It does not look good. Uh Whiz, to his credit, he said 90 million was his entry. His entry hit.
I'm laughing out of pain because my average is like 150. So I'm I'm down.
>> Oh no. I thought you had a stop loss.
>> I didn't put one. I'm a bad trader.
you community member. I love it.
>> I am a cash cat community member and and praying for some outs. Um but it is not good. And I think that the bigger problem I think that the sustainability of of this recent Robin Hood meta is being questioned because like everything that did run up has now gotten smashed down 70%.
And you have a few new winners so that's great. Um, but basically if you weren't in the So Tendies is up 400%.
Um, if you weren't in the Tendies trade over the past two to three days, you basically got wrecked on Robin Hood chain. Just about everything else is down substantially.
Um, even like Ponds was a big runner at like 13x, but then it went down 50% yesterday, maybe more. So where is it at? It's at 7 million. hit 16. So yeah, it's down 50% from highs.
>> So index is still up. Whatever that is, >> index is doing okay. That's like the RWA.
>> Yeah.
>> Actual protocol play. What is an actual Yeah. So like the the leaderboard now is more project.
Um the memes have all just gotten whacked except for Tendies. Now Cleo mean are all pounding the table on Tindy's. So we'll see if they're able to run that one up. Um, painful one for me because that was the the the first meme I bought on Robin Hood was tendies, but I rotated to other >> Oh, you rotated.
>> Yeah, times are tough in the tit hood hood camp right now. But it's not the thing is like this is not just Robin Hood. Like it feels like everything is selling off on chain. Anom got whacked. It's 180.
>> Let's go. Let's revisit onom's coin.
Hold on.
Um I mean it is an interesting position, right?
Um wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Yeah. See, same thing as every chart, every meme does this.
>> Yeah. So, is this the 65% draw down? So, what can you draw on this and see?
>> Yeah. I don't know if you can on Dex.
>> Yeah. Yeah. There you go.
It's at uh 660. Yeah.
>> Yeah.
So, if you think it's got legs, this is the bid zone.
Similarly with with Cash Cat or maybe they just all slowly grind down to zero.
Um and you I think you've kind of laid this out a few times like these memes all got to 200 million. 200 million is the zone.
>> Yeah.
>> But even this right, it was so much controlled by on so it never really did to 400 mil really.
>> Yeah. I'm going to call it 200 million too. So like on a market cap basis it basically got to two >> and again very fast like look penguin let's go let's just just take everyone through that like it was the same story right like if you go on the daily chart it was the same thing aggressive aggressive this one maybe lasted a little less time than than the rest but it was aggressive run up 200 top white whale actually that one double topped I believe and don't mean that in a bad way this is incredible by the way that these these coins made it there, right? Well, what was it? 2 million, dude. [ __ ] hell. But see, bang. At least I had a second shot that they all do this. What else? Like there was some That's it, right? It's Penguin.
>> Troll. How high did Troll go?
>> 170 at least. At was still at 45 million. Wow, that's actually impressive.
>> Actually, one of the higher ones.
>> Two runs again, but same [ __ ] right?
Nearly 300. Bang, bang, slowly. Bang. So it's obviously this is not like hey hate I'm just saying like my my point I'm trying to make is that there's still not enough money in the system >> right >> to sustain that and it seems like exchanges aren't getting aboard on board like no exchanges listed on them like last bear Pepe got listed on Binance we got a $ 1.7 billion wick then we died to 600 mil for 10 months then we ran it up to like what n billion u the exchange is not getting involved this time around at all >> yeah It it feels different >> and exchanges not listing because there is no liquidity on exchanges right now and nobody buying [ __ ] >> I would agree. I think part of the the cash cap thesis was, you know, you're early to Robin Hood chain buyers or to Robin Hood app buyers. Uh I guess that thesis is not dead, but it looks it looks worse as the price goes down. Let me let me uh let me say that. So still rough out in the meme streets. Shouldn't be surprised.
for anyone.
>> Yeah, >> I I kind of my I had talked myself into this Robin Hood meta lasting longer and I think it's too it's too early to have the funeral for it by any means, but if it does die here, it's really not that much different from every like first opening two week of action that we get like Hype EVM had a small meme season.
Uh like when Abstract launched, right?
Like it had a little meme season there.
like this. This always happens for at least a short period of time.
Um I think folks are betting Robin Hood would last longer. So we'll we'll see.
>> I mean the the Robin Hood is not going anywhere. But there I don't see them also just focusing on memes alone. Like I don't think they want to become I think they're not going to make the mistake based. They're not going to try and become Salana, right? So >> yeah. Like even if you think real protocol are going real protocols are going to be built and launch tokens like a good one like it's gonna take time.
Like they're they're probably not sitting there like ready to like hit the button on the week one, >> right? So like you might need to be waiting months for that. That's why like all we really have right now is memes and then a handful of others and mostly just launchpads which we have enough launchpads. We don't we don't really need more. Um, but like we talked about Anom, right? The cards got cards is still in the gutter.
Had a brief rebound on that Jupiter announcement >> and that's it fully.
>> I mean, this is all signs that we're not in the bull >> yet, which is fine. Um, but yeah, look at that. We were fomoing here, then bang, and nobody's talking about it anymore.
Yeah, there's a lot less cheddar.
>> Classic. What else is there right now? I don't know.
Like what happens if your Bitcoin like actually finally loses the level?
>> Oh, that these all go much lower. And I I was having a similar conversation with a trading buddy who uh is like now kind of he's playing some alts and I am I am in the alt like I have Zeke, I've lit I have a few others on longer term time horizons like like cycle long plays >> but like if you think that Bitcoin is going to roll over and make a new low like it almost doesn't make sense to enter yet.
>> Well, especially because they a lot of these coins ran it back up. I mean near is back up well above two $2 from 170.
Zeke is back up 2x. Lit is like I mean freaking crazy run almost 3x from $1. VV that's the only one that you know lost 50% value after something holding its bottom. Um all the coins hyperlquid is just chilling in its you know all-time high you know price kind of finding it's finding its own grove but Bitcoin goes lower and everything else goes lower another leg. Um, and also it's summer, it's normal, >> which is we're in the middle of the summer, right? We're in the thick of it right now, right?
>> We are.
>> The money right now is partying somewhere in Abiza. Uh, you know, so you still got to wait and then but then it's going to get exciting, right? Because then you have like midterms in in November and I think you front run the midterms, right, on the charts like end of August, September is going to be I think it's going to be super lit, but not worth not worth losing it before that.
>> Yeah. Yeah, I mean Q4 could be incredibly exciting if we consist bare market bottom loom >> there's hits then I think folks will be chomping at the bit.
>> I think uh um I I agree. I think it's going to be uh I think it's going to be like that. But anyways, is there anything else?
>> Those are the big ones. Yeah.
>> Uh I mean Stripe's looking to acquire PayPal.
Um it's a crypto adjacent it's a crypto story because of the the stablecoin tiein. So Stripe is working alongside private equity from Advent. They have a $53 billion bid to buy PayPal.
Um so this goes through it would it would pair Stripe's crypto infrastructure which is their bridge stablecoin platform their tempo blockchain alongside PYUSD.
um which has like I think 400 million users. Uh so that would be a a more powerful stable coin story there for for PYUSD and Stripe getting even further into the game. It's not a done deal. So the PayPal shareholders have to approve it. I think some of their bigger holders have called the price tag insulting. Um but I think prediction markets have it like 80% to go through. So it looks like the deal is favored to go through. Um, so that's that's one. Then Aium, they had the exploit yesterday. It looks like what happened? Well, first, OAM is a purpose platform for RWAS. You can trade stocks, gold, forex. It relies on oracles, which is the system that fields real world prices to the to the protocol to the blockchain. So I guess what happened here? An attacker got hold of one of the private keys that like signs the Oracle price reports and it submitted fake future prices that made what are actually losing trades look very profitable and then they just looped it opening and closing positions like 20 >> pounding gains >> until they drained about 18 million which is about onethird of the protocol's liquidity. At that point, Austam halted trading, froze funds.
Um, so I think a little bit of a different export than, you know, just coming in and just stealing money.
They're actually like attacking oracles.
So the the attackers are getting more sophisticated. So yeah, I made my post saying like the longer we go without exports, the safer you feel. And of course, two days later, we have another one. Uh, not great. Uh, so certainly not out of the woods yet by by any means.
Um, >> but at least I mean 18 I don't want to laugh like I don't want to minimize 18 million. It's a lot. I know there's there's people on my feed who were impacted so feel really bad for them.
Um, but at least relatively the amount is lower than we'd seen in some of the others but >> not mucholation there. Um yeah with that I mean if we want to chat little little World Cup recap the exhilarating game from yesterday.
>> Oh >> what side you're on.
>> True. I I am on no side because you know I'm playing that petite finale.
I'm playing the losers final.
That's what my side is playing now. My dear English friends have joined us and none of us even want to banter like me and Mando.
We don't really want to talk [ __ ] at each other because we both know that we [ __ ] suck, you know. Um, that's just how much it doesn't matter. I was talking to my friend this morning. It's a French guy and we were both like laughing like I was telling him what I was telling you yesterday about how like nobody cares and I was kind of he was saying the same like he doesn't remember the day he's ever watched one of those but uh exhilarating crazy deal on Marriott yesterday. I think I thought a screenshot of Argentina at 8% on the 73rd. can only imagine what it was after.
>> And uh in a turn of events, Messi, who seemed pretty angry, eh, I think Jude Bellingham got on his bad side early on. We have that infamous video going around. He goes, "Okay, you're talking to me. I'mma show you what I do." You know, and um two assists if I'm not mistaken, which now puts him number one in the Golden Boot race. What a game. I mean, England, bummer. England has been having quite a good World Cup.
I thought they looked pretty good going into that. At least for the first three quarters of the game, they looked like they were in control. But, uh, >> they did.
>> There's a reason why he's the greatest of all time, man.
>> You could just feel it. And again, I'm a novice. I've been watching this World Cup. I watch most of the games. But like when a team is attacking for 10 minutes, 15 minutes straight and then their shots get closer and closer.
Like before the goals, they had like two that hit the post. Yeah.
>> So, like you could see that, okay, like they're getting really close here.
>> They were. Yeah.
>> And uh the floodgates just broke. And after the first goal, I was I was unsure if if England would maybe switch tactics a bit, but then it kind of just reverted to the same. It seemed like they were just kind of playing D again. And then they went down and get the other goal.
Like the biggest mistake of the game was was Jude pissing off Messi. Clearly.
>> Yeah. That that's like some Jordan type [ __ ] You know, Jordan needs to get pissed off and score 60.
>> Yeah, I was.
>> So, this is for me now the most interesting market. We can talk about tomorrow. Maybe we we make our predictions for Saturday, Sunday, >> but for me the most interesting race now is the Golden Boot race. So, Messi had two more assists. So, now officially number one.
>> Yeah. Well, they have to It's goals first, but since they have equal goals, you have to count assists, right?
>> Got it.
>> Because it can't be winners. Yeah.
>> So, four goal, eight goals, four assists versus a goals, three assists.
>> One of them will play because it's his last World Cup and he can cement himself really as a greatest full time. One of them still pretty pissed off, angry. And to me, Kian Mbappe has had the arguably the best player this World Cup obviously alongside some of the but arguably like he's in everyone's top three. Um, he's a World Cup player for sure.
It's gonna be an interesting one, man.
That's why the odds have now kind of, you know, the missing scorer. I kind of like Mbappe here.
>> So, you basically need Mbappe. So, he he's not going to be able to win on a tie. So, you need him to out Messi. So, >> no pass, nothing. He needs to score. And the thing is, if we know anything, that Spanish defense is insane.
No one's gotten past Cukarella so far.
I'm expecting this game to be tight.
Like I was expecting goals yesterday. I guess we got three goals but until the seven we got no goals for a while.
Do we like Mbappe here? Like it depends on how motivated he is, right? Like the team is pretty depressed, you know?
>> Yeah, that's the thing.
>> Is he even more depressed and less time to rest?
I don't know.
>> I just have no insight like into these.
Are these guys going to show up on Saturday for this constellation match?
>> That's the thing.
>> But what I do know is like these stats matter.
Like in in eight years, in 16 years, right? Like people won't be talking about, oh, Mbappé got a goal in the constellation game for his ninth goal. will just be like, "Yeah, >> he's the golden."
>> Yeah.
>> Um, >> so I could I could see him showing up for that. And like you laid out like playing an England team as depressed is a whole hell of a lot more attractive than than playing Spain. uh which doesn't really give up goals, but at the same time, without giving away my picks, like I I feel like um Messi is on a destiny track right now, and I have to think he scores.
I think he's going to score in the final. So, >> so Messi, >> yeah, >> I mean, they both score. Messi wins.
If Jude gets a hat-tick, he wins, right?
>> Yeah, he ain't getting I think he's hard possible against this French team.
>> Harry Kane as well.
Um I don't think there's a world where June Jud Judor Harry get a hat-tick, but there's a world where they get two one of them gets two goals.
>> Sure.
>> Um did they I like this I like this this golden boot race here today. What a fun top here. You got Messi, Mbappe, Highland, Bellingham, Kane, Belle, Oyers, the ball. Like, it's such a It's a It was really a celebrity this World Cup, you know.
>> It was great. It was That's what made the tournament even more fun. I think it was just seeing the superstars all all perform, you know, except Ronaldo, but I don't know if he should be in that conversation anyways at this point. Um, >> but with the odds, you know, I I think I gotta I gotta take Mbappe in this.
>> I like Dude, I like it, dude. I I have not I don't know. I don't know. I like it. I like it.
>> We We got a clip yesterday show. What were the odds yesterday when we were talking? We had this pulled up 22 >> 19.
>> Oh god, >> it doubled. We knew it would if Messi didn't >> because Messi didn't score. That's exactly what we said. We said if Messi goes scoreless and Bit nearly doubles and here we are now.
>> Yeah, >> it's an interesting one. And then you have the whole thing that keep in mind France plays the day before Argentina.
So this put gets put to rest Saturday.
>> So you could hit a you could hit a 2x without even winning because >> if scores Saturday >> he goes number one. So, he goes to 64%.
But then there's a 24-hour period where you're waiting for Messi. So, there's still some like trading wise, I'm not talking about hoarding a position till the resolution. Look at trade here.
There was a trade yesterday. There's a trade today again.
>> Yeah.
>> I think Kiki scores like the other players didn't really show up. Like, I think Kiki scores, man.
We'll see. But I like him scoring.
What's Yal at? Man's pretty far, I think. No, he's too far.
>> I haven't seen him score.
>> He's got one goal. I think >> that's it. Oh, yeah. Because they haven't scored much Spain actually.
Wow. And I guess if they tie, they go into minutes played. So, there's that also. And Mbappe scor played last minute. Oh, yay. Like Mbappe gets an assist here. They're tied. I I'm assuming they go minutes play because that's the third stat. I don't know.
>> Oh, so he would win on less minutes played. Yeah, cuz there's no shot me and playing 90 minutes tomorrow, Sunday.
>> Yeah, >> this is so interesting.
So interesting.
>> My buddy is going to the consolation game.
>> Really?
>> I mean, it's going to be a sick ass game. It's France England, right?
like no matter what, you were going to get four great two good like four good games because the two semis and the the consolation in the in the in the final. It's exciting.
Anyways, we we'll talk more football tomorrow. We'll keep some content for tomorrow afternoon um to to chat about our personal um to uh to talk about all that uh tomorrow. So, there's that.
There's that for you. Uh, with that being said, Tyler, see you tomorrow morning. 10 a.m. Mr. Star time. Peace out, y'all.
Heat. Heat.
Heat. Heat.
