This time, the famous 20-hour non-stop flights are set to begin in early 2027 with supply chain issues, especially with Spirit Aero Systems fuselage components causing some issues. The first A350-1000 ULR is nearing introduction into Qantas's test campaign, but this doesn't mean Qantas can begin flying that service immediately. Qantas will need at least three airframes to add daily flights and also need time to get acquainted with the specialized interior design. The design is highly customized to support the strain on the human body when flying for a nearly entire 24-hour period. The flights will save about 4 hours compared to the fastest alternatives and will be a historic moment for the airline industry. Let's just hope this is the last delay.
